Noah & Daren were enthralled by "Coco", with both the story and the animation, and how immersive and integral the music was to the story.
Noah and Daren went into seeing "Justice League" with eager geek hearts and minds, and returned very disappointed.
Noah and Daren quite enjoyed "Thor: Ragnarok", the third Thor movie and newest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but they also feel that the heavier emphasis on comedy may sacrifice a little too much of the character Thor that comics fans have come to know and love over the years.
And yes, they both think back on the first two 'Thor' movies with higher regard now.

Noah and Daren tackle "The Snowman", one of those films that straddles the suspense/horror fence. Although the novel was very good, the film falls flat and then some.
Noah and Daren are huge comic book fans and have been looking forward to this film for a long time, despite not being familiar with the original comic.
But the lack of chemistry between the main characters and the dialogue falling flat adversely affected the enjoyment of the visually stunning parts of the film.

Noah and Daren enjoyed this reboot of Spider-Man, and while they appreciated the fun and bringing Spider-Man closer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe formula that fans seem to enjoy more, they were also disappointed by some of the story choices and by the villain, Vulture.

"Kong: Skull Island" is a return to the classic monster movies that many of us grew up on (and still miss dearly), and Noah & Daren completely enjoyed it!

Noah and Daren had high expectations for LOGAN, both as huge Claremont-Byrne X-Men fans, and as fans who enjoyed THE WOLVERINE. They were disappointed.
Noah and Daren are long-time fans of Zhang Yimou, and despite early reports they had high hopes for "The Great Wall". Alas, they were disappointed, and go into what they saw as the movie's shortcomings.

Noah and Daren are happy that "John Wick: Chapter 2" is an enjoyable movie that adds to the underlying sense of humor found in the first film, but were a bit concerned with the relentless nature of the over-the-top violence in the second one.
The guys had a few reservations trusting an M. Night Shyamalan story again, and were pleasantly surprised by a very good movie... up until the end. Again.

Noah and Daren really enjoyed documentary "Doomed! The Untold Story of Roger Corman's The Fantastic Four", and the insights and details about how the film was rushed through filming simply to maintain the production company's rights to The Fantastic Four, else they'd revert back to Marvel.
