Friend, God has great plans for your life. Your plans have a greater chance for success when they are surrendered to Him. Jer 29:11" For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Phillipians 4:8 " Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things". Since thoughts shape our identity and conduct, our thoughts can help us in creating and sustaining the balance we need. A life lived for Jesus must be included in that mix. Many persons build their life on things..money, fame, family and friends. They are often disappointed when the sand that they build on erodes when the storms of life come. However, any life that is built on Jesus Christ, the Solid Rock will not fail. When the storms of life are raging we will stand and our footing will be secure. St John 3:16 states " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life". Love, is not something that is done in words only. It must be followed by practical everyday actions. True love gives. It will require a personal sacrifice of time, effort or money. As Christians we cannot walk the journey alone. We must have faith in Jesus Christ. We must have the mind of Christ so that we have access to his guidance, his leadership and his direction. We must die to self and sin and completely commit ourselves to doing his will. There are many persons who find pleasure in interfering in other people's business. However, the Apostle Paul told the Thessalonian believers in 1Timothy 4 that they should practice to lead a quiet life, work with their hands and mind their own business. We are encouraged to do the same so that we become a blessing to the body of Christ.

We are all made in God's image. Our Lord wants us to view ourselves as servants with great dignity. We must be willing to serve and not expect to be served. In order to be great Jesus is calling us to adopt the attitude of children: humility, simplicity, teachableness and unworldliness. True greatness does not lie in what we possess or have achieved. It lies in our willingness to serve those who are the smallest and lowliest among us. How is God calling you to surrender all? This means to be totally open to God's will. Although we fail we must learn our lessons daily because that is how we grow. Trust me, it will take a different effort to surrender all. Where he leads we need to follow.

There are times in our lives when we focus on what God is doing for those around us and fail to count our own blessings. However, if we just stop to look at life from God's perspective we would praise Him every hour of the day. There is a roof up above us, a good place to sleep, food on our table and shoes on our feet. We have a lot to thank God for.

Jesus Christ suffered in the flesh. As believers and followers of Christ, we will also encounter suffering(s) which we should not consider to be strange. God uses suffering to refine the believer's faith. Let us therefore try our best to rejoice and endure because it will lead to future glory.(1Peter 4:12-13)

Life is designed for hills and valleys. We all have good and bad times, ups and downs. We serve a God who remains the same in the hills and valleys of our life. He is good even when life is not. It is in the hills and valleys of life that we find our dependence on Him. He has promised that He will never leave nor forsake us.

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." (James 1:2-4) As a believer, God purifies our hearts by drawing out our sinfulness. This is likened to the refining of gold. What does he use to refine us? He uses trials(hardships). This helps to make us better Christians, and the process contributes to our growth and maturity. The end of our faith is the salvation of our souls.( 1 Peter 1:9)

Blessed be the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. (Ps. 68:19) God's mercies are renewed every morning. Great is his faithfulness.

When we acknowledge and confess our sins to God we receive his forgiveness. We serve a God whose arms are open wide when we acknowledge our wrongs and seek forgiveness. We must also be willing to forgive those who have wronged us and ask forgiveness from those we have wronged. This is the only way to have peace of conscience.

God not not call the equipped, He equips the called. If God has called you to work in his Kingdom he will give you all the skills you need to carry out that task. He believes in you.

If we forgive those who have wronged us, our heavenly Father will also forgive us. However, if we refuse to forgive those who have wronged us, neither will God forgive us. ( Matt 6:14-15)

Many persons believe that they do not have enough resources for themselves. Therefore, in their mind, they think that they do not have anything to share with others. However, each of us has something to give. When we surrender what we have,it becomes a blessing to others. By faith, bring what you have to Jesus and watch Him work on your behalf. God bless you all.

Hey Friends, whatever inward storm you are facing today-uncertainty, insecurity, brokenness, feelings of fear, guilt and shame- be encouraged. You can overcome the storm within. You can seek God in prayer, surrender all before him, trust His faithfulness and speak victory over your storm(s). We cannot allow our storm(s) to consume us. Ps 14:1" The fool hath said in his heart there is no God" This person lives as if he will never have to give account to God . He lives thinking as if his successes are based on his own brilliance. However, God is the giver of all good gifts. Jesus wept at Lazarus' grave because of the people unbelief. They questioned his inability to have healed Lazarus. Jesus still weeps over our unbelief, over those who refuse to accept him, over those who accept him and go back into sin. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior today, why not try Him now? When Jesus died on Calvary he gave mankind victory over suffering. Jesus suffered, therefore he paved the way for all those who follow him. No matter what our race, our culture, or our socio-economic status we all need compassion. Jesus, in His ministry showed compassion to the downtrodden and also the powerful. He healed sickness and diseases and he also offered salvation to all. This podcast is designed to encourage those who are experiencing suffering through pain or sickness or for those who care for someone who is extremely ill. I just want you to know that Jesus knows the pain you feel. He will never abandon you in your pain. Suffering happens because we live in a fallen world. When Christ returns all will be rectified. There are many persons who reside in the events of their past. Therefore, they have become prisoners in their own minds and are unable to visualize a change in their circumstances. God wants to change that. He has informed us that He is making ways in our deserts and streams in our wastelands. Jesus is the fountain of living water. Through his Spirit every dry place and every wasteland will be eliminated and fresh growth will appear. However, our eyes must be opened to see Him as the Creator of all things. In life we will make many decisions. Consequently, it is best most times to seek counsel. Proverbs 11:14 states" Where no counsel is the people fall,but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" Unwise, ungodly counsel can lead to mishaps, dangers and costly consequences. However, submitting to God's counsel has great value. As Christians each of us will go through a refining process. God will use whatever method(s) He chooses to take us through that process and while we are going through there are lessons we will learn. Our society divides people,not only into races, but also into two classes, namely rich and poor. To get a message to all at the same time is very difficult. However, James in chapter 5 did just that. Friends whether we are rich or poor we all need Jesus. The way of salvation is the same for all. Jesus' death,burial and resurrection provided mankind with salvation and freed him from sin's bondage. Jesus is the only way for us to receive eternal life. When we stand before Him He will not see rich nor poor. Red Sea Moments refer to difficult situations that we face that we have no control over. They will happen to every person. Christians are not immune. However, God is able to see us through these moments. He promised never to leave nor forsake us. Our response to Red Sea Moments is to move into a deeper relationship with God and trust and believe that He knows how to take care of his children.

There are many who start to follow Jesus but constantly long for their old lifestyle. These persons may never be able to fulfill God's calling on their lives. However, we are encouraged today to press to the finish line in this Christian race. In the end we will receive a crown of life which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Sometimes we may need professional help. Finally, we need to ask God to help us to find peace especially when things are out of our control.

Tough times never last but tough people do. We all go though tough times. When we decide not to give up we come out of them a stronger,more resilient person ..stronger than we could ever imagine. Life sometimes throws us some hard curve balls, leaving us feeling hopeless and helpless. However, God is our Refuge and Strength. He is able to use the hard circumstances of our lives for ultimate good. Whatever we are going through we can live in hope..a hope that fixes itself on the solid reality that God exists and He will never leave nor forsake us.

A cell phone is a very important device in our lives today. However, although we use it for many things there are times when the help we need can only come from the Lord. Gos anticipates our necessities and in love lays a foundation for granting our needs. Before we call He already has an answer in mind.(Is.65:24) Prayer is the bridge between panic and peace.

Living a purpose-filled life is possible if the plans we make for our lives line up with the purpose God created for us. Hence, we should submit our plans to him seeing that He has all knowledge and all perspectives. When we live for ourselves God gets no glory from our lives. Therefore, plan for the spread of God's glory in the earth through your life. Plan for the spread of the gospel in the lives of others. When God knows our name it means that we matter to Him. It means that He cares about us, about who we are and what we say and do. As believers we have been adopted into the kingdom of God. Our names are written in the palm of his hands. We are given a new identity and a life filled with opportunities. We are children of God. The Lord knows our name and desires our worship and praise.

In our lives we will face tests and trials, some so difficult that it seems as if we are going to go under. However, when faced with stormy situations we must continue to trust in Jesus as he has power over every situation. There is nothing too difficult for him. We live in a world that is moving at an alarming pace. People rush from one activity to the next pursuing worldly gain with no time for God. However, in order to spend time in His presence we must be intentional. We must stop and find the time to do so. We are encouraged to seek Him while He may be found and to call upon him while He is near. Let us not be so busy that we miss the opportunity to spend time at His feet. In the same manner that a swimmer can be deceived by the currents in open water, the people of God can be deceived to think that they can make it on their own. They sometimes think that their successes are due to their own capabilities. However, true humility will credit God for every success whether it be great or small. We should use our talents to glorify God and to uplift others.

We have an anchor that keeps the soul, a hope that we have in Jesus Christ. It is stedfast and sure and keeps our faith alive. Therefore, whatever struggles we face in this life we hope in God and His mercies.

Jesus Christ came to this earth to seek and save the lost. Although many persons have heard the call to follow him they are resistant to change from their sinful lifestyle. They find many excuses why they are not ready to follow him. However, because of his faithfulness to us, he still rescues the perishing. His mercy has overcome our resistance. Today we can have forgiveness of sins as we seek to obey his word.

Many persons who begin to serve Christ sometines fall into perpetual sin and stop following after God. It is not God's will that anyone should perish. THEREFORE, the church is tasked with the responsibility of ministering to the needs of the fallen. A fallen brother is still valuable to the Lord. Those who are strong should show him brotherly love and help him get back on his spiritual feet.

Jesus declares in St John 13:35 "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." Our love gor God is demonstrated in our love for others. Love does no wrong to one's neighbour. It never hurts anyone. It is the Holy Spirit that imparts within us the will to love. Let us therefore love others as Christ loves us.

In times of tumoil, difficulties and uncertainties we need assurance. The Word of God and faith in Jesus Christ becomes our sustenance. Therefore, let us not be weary in doing well. Colossians 3: 23-24 admonishes us "And whatsoever ye do do it heartily as to the Lord, and not unto men knowing that of the Lord, ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance for ye serve the Lord Christ" Let us not quit on this journey. Every person who receives Christ as Lord and Savior was given a spiritual gift. However, sometimes we do not recognize our gift. If this is so, we should make ourselves available in the service of the Lord. There we may disvover that we have abilities, gifts and talents that were previously unknown to us. No one else can do the thing that God has chosen us to do. Therefore, we need to explore our gift(s) so we can bring honor and glory to the name of the Lord and to be a blessing to others.

Temptations happen to all us. Every day we are bombarded with messages and images that can lead to sinful lusts. However, we do not have to give in to these temptations. Jesus was tempted by the devil and He used the Word of God as a weapon against temptation. We too can use this method. Guided by the Holy Spirit through reading, studying and meditating on the Word of God will strengthen us so we will not give in to temptation. Temptation is not sin. Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden. Therefore, sin became a part of our human reality. There was nothing we could do to erase our own sin and shame. However, Jesus came. When Israel left Egypt God made a covenant with them. He became tbeir husband. They were his bride. God promised to guard, guide and provide for them. Israel vowed to obey and honour him. God kept his side of the bargain but Israel did not. We can learn a lot by studying the history of Israel and to ensure that we do not copy their mistakes. They turned away from the living God and took unto themselves other gods whom they served with all their heart. Let us not do the same. Let us not follow their path and make the same mistakes.

Gen 37:5 "And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren; and they hated him yet the more" Joseph was Jacob's 11th son but he was the favored one. Jacob gave him a special coat which identified him as the primary heir. His brothers hated him because of this coat. Also, Joseph began to have dreams of the future which he articulated. The fulfilment of those dreams took him down a path of suffering but in the fulness of time he was ushered into his destiny because he was God's Top Pick. Pruning is essential for plants and trees. In a similar sense as we abide in Christ God prunes our luves. He takes unfruitful branches and prunes fruitful ones to stimulate further growth. When things don't go well people usually quote Romans 8:28" And we know that all things work for good to them thst love God....". However, this verse may be hard to understand in difficult times. However, no matter how hard the circumstance, the Sovereign God is able to make it work for our good, to help others and to give honor and glory to Him. Many persons get discouraged because they had a goal but suddenly someone comes on social media with the same idea and seem to have greater success. An unnamed woman in St Mark 14 brought an alabaster box of expensive perfume, broke it and anointed Jesus' head. This was her all. She did this to show her love and sacrifice. You have a calling on your life. God has called you to do His will but your oil is going to come at a price. It may be rejection or desertion. You may be criticised. It will come with cups of sorrow, thorns and tears. These are necessary for that oil to flow. Your oil is not cheap.HSR

Man was born in sin and shapen in iniquity. He therefore has a sin problem. Since sin is rebellion against God, he has a sin account which he needs to settle. HOW can that be done? He must acknowledge that he is a sinner and needs a Saviour. He MUST confess his sins and repent of his ways. After Jesus' death, burial and resurrection the disciples went to Jerusalem to ' wait for the promise of the Father'. On the day of Pentecost that event occurred. Devout Jews were gathered in Jerusalem for the feast of Pentecost. The disciples received the Holy Ghost, the Jews marvelled , Peter told them about Joel's prophesy, they believed and over 3000 souls received the Holy Ghost that day. It is a promise to all who the Lord calls. God's kingdom is a spiritual kingdom. All his subjects are governed by the power of the Spirit, that transforms the human nature and renews our minds. So yes, it is necessary to receive the Holy Ghost. It still happens in this 21st century.

While Israel was in Egypt they multiplied and prospered because God was with them. However, after Joseph's death they became slaves to the Egyptians. God delivered them from Egyptian bondage, gave them houses, vineyards and good things but they soon forgot the true and living God. They worshipped idols and sacrificed their children in the fire. Forgetting that God is the source of our blessings is a dangerous attitude. God took us out of sin and He gives us the strength we need daily. Let us not forget that He is the source of supply. The Christian Life is compared to a marathon, one which requires perseverance and endurance. Although as Christian we may face several tests and trials we must continue. We look to Jesus who, in this marathon, is our lead runner. He came to earth and he suffered mockery and shame.
