I thought this song from the Nitti Gritti All In EP was too happy. So, I sucked the joy out of it and made it more dead... in the water.
Anyway, here's the competition link if you wanna vote for me: https://spinninrecords.com/talentpool/track/444397-nitti-gritti-dead-in-the-water-nitti-gritti-m0nk3y-remix-145bpm/

ItsJosef asked me to listen to his track and man, this melody really got to me. Part way through the remix I kept wanting to put in vocals and the melody I heard was from that old dance tune. And with that, the Mixup took on a life of its own.
Thanks ItsJosef for writing such a great melody and letting me add my sound to it.
Check out his original track here and give him some love: https://soundcloud.com/josef-146857178/hope-lxgend-walker
Had a track that needed vocals, had the stems for this track and figured out they'd go together really well.
Wanted to keep those synths whipping as much as I could
Azealotrous hit me up this relaxed sample he created (harmonies/melodies/tonal parts) and I added some drums/blips/fx/arrangement and made sure all the parts melted together like icecream and pie. Check out Azealotrous's other stuff here @user-548302197 he's got a great way with melodies.
Challenge accepted. This one really has very little in common with the original. Sleater Kinney seem to have such a skill at hiding beautifully poetic melodic phrases that capture the essence of their whole song (for me) amongst their stories.
Thanks random YouTube commenter
Didn't release this track when I finished it but its kind of fun. Stupid name, stupid concept but I like how it hangs together.
Finally finished! Love playing with reharmonizing. Love bass. Love sidechains. Hope this keeps the 'spirit' of the original while adding a fresh take.
Just heard this song on Song Exploder and got inspired to make a remix. Very different energy to the original.
Take me to your quiet place and we will share a moment. Sometimes tears, sometimes fears Sometimes the end of our story, sometimes not.
But always a moment.
I wrote this short track to go with my latest drone video. Its got a similar vibe to some of Charlie Puth's stuff production wise but is less complex all around.
Remix of Pyramid Song - have wanted to do it justice as so many version of this track miss the heart of the song. I love the odd feel and the challenge of bringing it together with some gritty sounds
This track was inspired by Passion Pits 'Little Secrets' and the beautiful and simple lyrics and vocals of Pete Masiti. Hopefully can bring some happiness to dark times during a relationship.
Relax and come on a journey. Got inspired by some of the latest chillout work I've been listening to and the footage that I shot with my drone of the boats and a sunset over West Lake in Hangzhou.

Inspired by 'Nightcall' from the movie drive. Sometimes all you have is putting one step in front of the other until something happens.
This one is slow and brooding. Long build with a couple of forced minimalist moments. The ending is worth the wait.
Aggressive electronic track occasionally suffering from idea schizophrenia. turn it up loud. make someone mad.
First song I've written in 4 years. An indication of how I'm feeling again after such a long time. Hope you enjoy :)
