Divorce & separation costs the Australian economy $14 billion a year but the personal cost to parents and children is immeasurable. Many people who go through separation suffer from high stress and bewilderment at having to deal with the break up of a relationship, the impact on their children while having to deal with practical problems of shared parenting and property settlements, often while navigating the costly legal system for the first time and trying to manage busy careers.
In this groundbreaking pod-cast serious, Workplace Wellbeing Educator, Samuel Eddy has teamed up with experienced Family Lawyer, (and his Dad!), Vincent Eddy to guide busy working parents through this difficult journey.

What do you do when you can’t feel love or connection with your newborn child?
This can be one of the most distressing periods of life for parents. This distress often occurs in silence as feelings of shame and guilt can be experienced with it.
It is rarely talked about which can increase fear and isolation.
I have created this mindful meditation recording to provide reassurance, calm and understanding for parents who are struggling with this fear and anxiety right now.
I explain why, in the circumstances, it is logical to feel this disconnection and how to keep moving forward.
I always remind the parents I work with that the love and warmth you have for your child is always there, it is just suppressed at this time.
“When the sun goes behind a cloud, we might not feel the warmth, but we know it is still there.”

In this episode, I speak with Sarah Kavanagh who has a private practice specialising in helping people who are experiencing crisis or highly stressful events in their life. She is also a registered Mental Health Nurse and in this discussion we pose the important question: is a crisis always bad or can we take a different perspective?
What is crisis & how do you know if you are experiencing it?
Can there really be meaning in crisis and is it all bad?
How do we move forward positively from crisis?
