Rising 11,753 ft, Mt Timpanogos is no sissy summit. During the summer, she can be brutal to climb at over 16 miles and 5,000 ft elevation gain, but in the winter, it's a whole other story. We were shocked and deeply saddened to lose one of our own dear Mt Mamas, Lindsay Eatchel recently. She passed on with her husband in a plane crash in Cedar City, Utah. Hunt, is helicoptered to Kathmandu, and Erin and Emily hike onto Kalapatar and Base Camp. Sickness hits Emily hard. Sobering and inspiring, the high Himalayas will leave their mark on your soul. 

Note: Hunt does survive!!! He recovered in just a few days and ended up doing his own trek in the Annapurna mountains in Nepal which were at a lower altitude. He reported later he had a run in with the "Maoist Rebels", but he wasn't captured, they just gave him a $25 ticket and told him to look them up online.
