On Episode 12, I look back on The Last Dance and give my five major takeaways from the docu-series. The World Baseball Classic was cancelled, but is the MLB getting any closer to a 2020 season? How about the other leagues? And finally, I’ve got the Joe Burrow comparison no one is making.

On Episode 11, this Billikens team is looking like they’re ready to roll with the addition of former 4-star recruit Francis Okoro. I break that down, and I cover the bases of what Yadi’s recent comments about wanting to play until he’s 40 mean for the future. Come for news about Albert Pujols possibly reuniting with Yadi for a final season, and stay to learn about Jimmy Neutron’s clutch gene as well as the latest in paper towel innovation. Finally, we’ve got a great interview with Butler football player Grant Stegman about how he’s been able to stay sharp during the COVID-19 football lockout. The Calzone is back, and sports could be soon(ish)! On Episode 10, Jack “Sully” Sullivan comes on to discuss winners, losers, and war rooms from the 2020 NFL Draft. We also break down pro wrestler Rob Gronkowski’s decision to play football again, the Michael Jordan documentary, and the possibility of July return of baseball and hockey. Finally, I reveal the latest two additions to my list of the 10 greatest St. Louis athletes of all time. You won’t wanna miss it, so settle in — or start mowing your lawn or something, I don't know what people do when they listen to podcasts — and hit play.

On Episode 9, I honor perhaps the greatest Basketball Hall of Fame class ever, briefly analyze a recent signing by the Blues, and share my thoughts on Tiger King. In addition, I debut part 1 of my list of the top 10 St. Louis athletes of all time, and I do my best to fight through the pain to give the greatest XFL team ever the send-off they deserve. Overall, I'm feeling: sad. Listen at the link in my bio or on Spotify. #KawKawForever #TeamMolinari

On the eighth episode of the St. Louis Sports Calzone, I honor the Vikings' QB1 by naming it after him even though he never comes up once. I cover my household’s board & card game endeavors in the Corona Cup, go over ramifications of the new NFL collective bargaining agreement, and interview Division 1 swimmer Emily Schroeder. This one’s only about a half hour, so don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to finish watching Tiger King. Give it a listen on Spotify or the link in the bio!

In honor of the Sweet 16 that would be wrapping up today, special guest Matt Dunn joins the show and we work our way through a bracket of the most elite Matts. You don’t want to miss it. In other news, the XFL has seen its first one-and-dones and the Olympics were postponed. Additionally, I look ahead to the NBA draft and share my all-time baseball roster. So #flattenthecurve and give it a listen!

Although the world has stopped working and sports are dead (see photo for my reaction), as @lupefiasco tells us, the show must go on. So, the Calzone returns, bringing you the latest football free agency news, as the NFL has lost its mind. Oh and the Blues signed a dude. @cparayko and @jflare both ignored my DM’s, so we go and get the next best thing: @willdevine_ . Together we talk some Birds and Blues, and hope to bring you brief respite from quarantine. So, socially distance yourself from your family, crack open an Arizona sweet tea #ad, and hit play...

The Calzone is back! On Episode 5, fellow former Basebill Cole “Hoss” Banker comes on to discuss the Battlehawks’ rise to the top of the Eastern Conference, as well as the XFL's success in general, and I share my thoughts on what I’ve seen from the Cardinals so far this Spring. It’s mostly me lamenting the fact that Dexter Fowler still has a spot on the roster and I don’t really touch on Flaherty that much, but he’s hot so I had to put him on the cover art. Come for the NBA talk, stay to hear why the Nuggets are the Applebee’s of the NBA, and stay even longer to hear David Siemer join the show to preview the Billikens as they look to make a run this March. Suprise segment with Mitch too! It's the longest one yet, so grab an Arizona sweet tea #ad and hit play. #TeamMolinari

On Episode 4, the Battle Squadron assembles. I share my takeaways from Week 1 of the XFL and preview the rest of the Battlehawks undefeated inaugural season #NevaLost. Jay Bouwmeester is doing well! But he had a pace-maker put in :( Isaac Bruuuuuuce finally got inducted into the Hall of Fame, the NBA Trade Deadline was a whirlwind, and Spring Training is upon us! Also please listen cus I think I’m making like 6 cents per listen because of the #ad I did so that’s cool.

On Episode 3, Kobe Bryant is remembered. I talk about the WNBA's new Collective Bargaining Agreement, give my Mount Rushmore of sports figures that impacted my childhood, and express my disdain for Green Day as well as for the Cardinals lack of action toward winning the easiest division in baseball. I welcome Phil Ehrnman (@phil_ehrnman_) on to preview the Super Bowl, we get our inaugural Steven A Sharp (@stevesharpie) lock of the week, and Meg Tensing (@megtens) stops by as well! Buckle up cus its the longest one yet. Peep the link in my bio

On the second episode of The STL Sports Calzone, I talk about the Astros cheating scandal, preview how the Battlehawks will be looking at QB, and why frozen yogurt cannot be trusted. Also, special guest Matthew "Tibs" Thibbedeauxxe joins the show to discuss our favorite topic: sports.
Once again: let me know how I did! I’m getting sick so my voice is hanging me out to dry but I tried my best. Any and all feedback is appreciated!

Hey all! My name is Paul Reddy, and my whole life I've loved talking about sports. So, I made a way for you to listen to me while I talk about them! On this, the first episode ever of "The STL Sports Calzone," I talk a lot about the Notes and Birds, and I dive into some other topics from the wonderful wide world of sports. I started my podcasting journey off with a pretty bad first episode so that everyone's expectations can be lowered, and I can work up from there. Please email me at paul.reddy@slu.edu or DM me on Twitter or Instagram. We'll see how this goes!
