For the first time in my dream-building process I was fighting depression. My uphill climb seemed impossible. So, 𝘐 𝘚𝘖𝘜𝘎𝘏𝘛 𝘎𝘖𝘋.
My theme throughout the entire fast: “Heavenly Father, I need You.” That was it. Truly. I found myself weeping in His arms, desperate for Him. I NEED breakthrough. I need miracles. I need open doors. And I cannot, but You can.
And He did (And still is doing…)
Whatever trial you’re facing, SEEK GOD. But I encourage you—don’t seek with a motive, seek Him for Him—in purity. AND WATCH HIM TURN YOUR SITUATION AROUND.
He is a GOOD, GOOD, GOOD, LOVING, LOVING, LOVING Father.
God is so good.

How you eat directly affects how you look. In Esther 2:9 we see that Hegai offered Esther a special menu. Why? Because she at… kosher.
On top of that–when faced with options of food that weren’t clean, she simply said no and didn’t compromise.

Esther was chosen as queen because of WHO she was.
From the very beginning, she stood out. Hegai was pleased with her—meaning, Esther brought his heart cheer, and so therefore he had compassion on her and gave her favor, promoting her to the best spot in the palace, assigning her seven choice maidservants, and increasing her beauty treatment allotments. Esther was chosen by God before she was chosen by the king.
Why?
Because of WHO she was.
The king summoned all the eligible bachelorettes from the entire Kingdom, surely there must have been ample pretty girls. But it wasn’t Esther’s looks that made her stand out – it was who she was. Her character, her kindness, her cheer that gained favor among men. Ultimately, it was God in her that caused her to stand out. She was a practicing Jew, and lived a life devoted to Him.
In your own journey of preparing for marriage, the best thing you can do is SEEK GOD. As you become more like Him you will ultimately transform into His likeness—which is absolutely gorgeous. There is no one more beautiful than Him—all beauty comes from Him, and the more we seek Him and become like Him, the more beautiful we become.
Esther became queen because of who she was. God made her lovely on the inside and outside.

We are first daughters before we are queens.
Did you know the Hebrew definition for the word daughter means being a biological daughter, yes—but it also means the ‘apple of God’s eye?’ How neat is that!? God delights in raising you.
And from this revelation we derive our worth.
Queen Esther was technically orphaned, yet because she was a daughter of Mordecai she was raised as a woman who was set apart and knew her value. I personally see Mordecai as a type and shadow of God the Father. He was a covering to her; He raised her; He chose her.
Before we can step into our destiny, we first find our fulfillment in simply being a daughter of God.
Whatever your background is, you are abundantly valuable for no other reason than you are God’s daughter. And as you step into your destiny as a queen in your sphere influence, your “success” does not define you. If you help a rule a nation or build a billion-dollar enterprise, or if you experience perpetual loss and go bankrupt, your value remains. In essence, because You’re a daughter of God you are a worthy woman.

Can you imagine the weight of a mother's instruction to her son in one of the most important decisions of his life—finding a wife? It would be quite weighty.
That is exactly what's happening in Proverbs 31:30, "Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised." In this verse, passing means fleeing, quick, a vapor. The mother is saying dear son, guess what—your wife's beauty will be quick BUT if she fears God... that's worth looking for.
