Deep, meaningful "no holds barred" conversations about the Conscious Life and about what it means to be human.Jeff Krisman has conversations with spiritual practitioners, healers, and teachers about their evolution and about what they are learning on their journeys. He also has conversations with people from all walks of life who have gone through deep transformation who share their life journeys and the most formative lessons learned along the way. There is nothing that is too deep, too dark, or too heavy. These are not the typical conversations that you hear on podcasts......these are conversations that are spontaneous, unpredictable, and that can take sudden twists and turns that go places that are unknown before the journey begins. These journeys have no map to find out the way to the destination as the destination will only be known after we arrive there.Real Conversations And Real StoriesThought ProvokingConsciousness AlteringEnlighteningNo LimitsNo Scripts

Rissa’s journey to becoming one of the most unique diviners working today began in childhood. Finding and interpreting symbols in art fascinated her. And her curiosity developed not only into a natural gift of discernment, but a warm, genuine mission to use her talents for others.
No one else working in the divination space in the world offers Rissa's vision in randomized divination combined with her artistic talent. Each seeker in tea or smoke gets an original piece of art from their reading to help reveal the patterns in chaos.
She was educated at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and Western Kentucky University. Always a storyteller, she has worked at five publications (she's currently the Senior Editor of a national magazine) and has combined spiritual, artistic, and cultural exploration into her work as a professional dancer, poetess, playwright, commercial photographer, and historic tour guide. She regularly presents talks online and in-person in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Rissa offers compassionate support to her clients, leaving seekers more confident and ready to find opportunities in the creative spaces of their world. She’s not out to spook or scare you – she wants to help you interpret and deal with the results of the leaves and the smoke.
In this age of uncertainty, we all yearn for answers and a clear path. Rissa's knowledge of the esoteric helps cast light into the shadows.

Dave and Carla are like-minded souls. They have been close friends since 1998. The two have a spiritual kinship that has taken them through 29 past lives together.
The story they tell in The Gift of Past Lives with Mother, Isabella, God and Elizabeth aims to liberate people from the traps of conceit, jealousy and selfishness and choose love in all actions.
David Bettenhausen
Dr. Dave serves as the vice president of medical affairs at a small Midwestern hospital. Whether he is at the hospital or his private practice, he daily coaches his patients about their well-being mentally, physically and spiritually. He believes in a holistic approach to life and regularly lectures and conducts discussions with groups of patients and physicians on healthcare. He has a personal interest in the stages of grief with death, dying and spirituality. Before he entered medical school, Dave practiced as a registered nurse for ten years.
After years in private practice as a physician in Ohio, Dr. Dave was approaching personal burnout. He had always valued being a positive example to his patients, and as his life became less joyful, he felt he was no longer doing that. He had weight issues, and his life was spiraling downward. Carla, as his office manager and friend was the vessel that carried Dave to meditation and the ultimate healing of himself. Meditation led both of them to an encounter with a set of wise spiritual beings known as Mother, Isabella, God and Elizabeth, which revealed many past lives to Dave and Carla. Through the insights Dave received during meditation, he underwent a personal transformation and regained his sense of self, which led to a weight loss of 116 pounds. He again found his joy in practicing medicine and with his patients.
Carla Bogni-Kidd
Carla Bogni-Kidd has been on a lifelong journey of spirituality, always seeking her purpose and very often serving as a vessel for others’ journeys. The theme running through her life has been to help others—that is where she feels the happiest.
Carla is quite comfortable speaking with people about their innermost feelings and challenges. Her closest friends have often referred to her as their personal counselor.

ABOUT BETH
A rising sales star turned marketing executive, Beth Bell spent more than 16 years leading strategic brand planning and more for the pharmaceutical industry. But somewhere between C-level meetings and marketplace assessments,
Beth began listening more closely to the world around — and within — her. What she heard led her eventually to ditch her corporate life to pursue her life’s purpose of “pollinating the planet with love.”
As her inward journey deepened, Beth became known as the “Flower Whisperer” and forged new paths — first as an entrepreneur designing silver jewelry in Bali, then as a radio/TV show host and author. Additionally, she’s a multi-dimensional advisor for CEOs and psychedelic pharmaceutical companies. Beth currently lives in America with her rescue dog, Lily.

Eden’s teaching emphasizes the spiritual, interpersonal, transpersonal, societal, ecological, and global impacts of engaged awareness practice. She has worked with a wide range of audiences, from dharma students and people wanting to cultivate more compassion in their lives, to concerned citizens and activists, parents, schools, corporations,, inner city youth and people who are incarcerated.
Eden has a special gift for facilitating mindful inquiry, fierce compassion, and relational intelligence. She weaves dharma with her embodiment of animism, deep ecology, shadow work, and conscious movement/dance, to help people release limiting beliefs and collective biases that have been passed down over generations. She draws upon her own experience of navigating loss, illness, and trauma, guiding people to embrace the mystery and celebrate the value and alchemy of light and darkness as teachers of love.
Eden also facilitates The Work That Reconnects, as created by Buddhist scholar and eco-philosopher Joanna Macy for transforming our pain and love for our world into compassionate action, and teaches with UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center. She offers experiential trainings in deep listening, relational intelligence, regenerative leadership, spiritual activism, and the deep-feminine.
Eden grew up in a family of activists and artists. She has been an advocate for social justice and ecological sustainability throughout her life. After college, before becoming a Zen monastic at the age of 26, she worked for an international non-profit focused on cultural and biological diversity and the building of local economies, while also helping to create organic gardens in low-income communities.
She has been an organic gardener and farmer for decades, a visionary urban ecology project in the Arizona desert; the Zen Buddhist monastery where she trained; and in urban gardens in the San Francisco Bay area and Los Angeles. She is certified in Permaculture Design and Bio-Intensive Organic Gardening.
Eden’s work has been featured in The Los Angeles Times, Tricycle, Yogi Times, Shambhala Times, The Shift Network, and The Ecologist. Eden has also been teaching for UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center since 2012. She has been collaborating with Nina Simons, co-founder of Bioneers and Cultivating Women’s Leadership, since 2012, on the topics of Relational Mindfulness: Regenerating Ourselves and Our World, and Women’s Leadership.

Jeff sits down with Lorraine Goldbloom from VortexHealing® to hear about her upcoming Finding Presence Series, which will be available on the resources page of her website as each video is produced.
An “issue” is anything that keeps us out of being present on every level. In this video series, Lorraine will examine how our issues show up in our system, how they hold us, and what it means to be free from them. The discovery of what issues are keeping us stuck and distracted, and how they manifest, is the first step in finding freedom from them.
The Finding Presence Series is an ongoing sequence of videos and articles that focus on the exploration of universal issues. Each segment examines a different issue, and every live event offers a healing to support the process of letting go of what keeps us in the experience of separation.

Andy is a prize-winning author, speaker, radio talk-show host, and former Democratic nominee for Congress in Virginia.
Since the late 1960s, Andy Schmookler has investigated the ways that forces – constructive and, especially, destructive – operate in civilized societies.
Since 2004, Dr. Schmookler has focused his attention on the current crisis in America, which he sees as perhaps the most profound to face this nation in its history.
Though it manifests itself in the political sphere, he sees it as going much deeper than politics—involving a deterioration of the moral and spiritual dimensions in which the balance of power between constructive and destructive forces is determined.
Beginning in 2005, Schmookler was the host and main author of the website www.NoneSoBlind.org, where he interpreted the deeper realities about this crisis that can be seen beneath the myriad specific events of our times.
In 2011-12, Andy Schmookler was the Democratic nominee for Congress in Virginia’s very conservative 6th District. His campaign motto was “Truth. For a change.”

About Chris
There’s something all successful people know but rarely talk about:
External achievement isn’t enough.
No matter how hard you work, how many degrees you earn, or what job title you hold, none of it can quiet that little voice inside that says: “there is more to life than this.” I know because I lived with this voice for many years, and it was only when I really started paying attention to it that things began to shift for me.
Fast forward to today: I specialize in helping successful people and organizations remember who they are and align their life with their purpose.
But before I could do this gratifying and meaningful work, I had to go on a journey of self-discovery. And that journey started in my hometown of Jackson, Michigan.

To learn more about her book that she spoke about on the conversation, Making Markshttps://www.elaineclayton.com/gallery/spirit-paintings/making-marks-bookAbout ElaineI started out in mid 1980s an author and illustrator of books for children and developing drawing workshops for kids, which cultivated a sense of empathy for student peers, and confidence in creative self-expression. These drawing techniques and experiments were done while I worked as artist-in-residence and most notably, when I taught at the progressive independent Paideia School in Atlanta, GA. At that time I worked with my first New York City based art/literary agent, Whit Stillman, who was writing and shooting his first Academy Award nominated film Metropolitan (Last Days of Disco, Barcelona, Damsels in Distress and recently, Love and Friendship).
“After many years of writing and illustrating children’s books, and illustrating for other authors such as Pulitzer Prize winning author Jane Smiley and author of WICKED, Gregory Maguire, April Halprin Wayland and others, I began a new focus. I started creating spiritually themed books on intuitive intelligence, empathic and creative self expression.
I developed a non-threatening and relaxing meditation style of drawing based on all those years of conducting workshops with children, a drawing technique I call stream drawing or intuitive stream drawing (see MAKING MARKS book). I have practiced intuitive stream drawing sessions for clients seeking guidance at my studio in Westport, CT and in NYC at Fitness Results (formerly at 137 5th Avenue in NYC directly behind the iconic Flat Iron Building) for many years, also conducting workshops on this method in person, small and large groups and via internet.”
My name is Elaine Clayton. I am an artist, author and illustrator of books for children and adults, parent, and former teacher and certified Reiki Master and intuitive reader. For years I’ve done Intuitive/Psychic Readings for family, friends, and others who wanted a reading. Over those years, the more art and books and teaching and readings I did, the more I understood that I am entirely devoted to the healing arts. All my art is about reaching points of illumination, and as I’ve evolved, I’ve found that at my core, healing myself and others is my passion.
This website is dedicated to the healing arts, by way of Sketchbook Dream Journal/blog, Reiki, and Intuitive sessions. I invite you to playfully explore and enjoy along with me the signs and messages, the images and mysteries of life that are unveiled to us daily. Through art and dream journaling, we’ll explore inspiration, imagination and spirituality, intuition and mysticism.
I am dedicated to supporting clients in visualizing and creating what you dream of having and learning in this life—we’ll orient ourselves by going inward where our inner knowing and miraculous creative powers are waiting to be discovered and celebrated.

Elisa Romeo is a licensed marriage and family therapist, intuitive and bestselling author of Meet Your Soul: A Powerful Guide to Connect with Your Most Sacred Self. After meeting her Soul during an out-of-body experience, she uncovered an ability to see and communicate with the Soul-energy of others, including Souls who have crossed over. She teaches others how to connect to the still-small voice of intuition to access their ultimate and eternal Love self. Her worldwide private practice, which grew by word of mouth, consists of thousands of clients, who she works with by merging her background in depth psychology with an ability to directly communicate with the Soul.
While living in India, Adam Foley found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, trapped in the center of a large-scale terrorist bombing. He wrestled with the injustice of fate after surviving this experience while others did not. As the lone American at the scene, news stories highlighted his nationality, which brought unwanted attention from the terrorists and ultimately compromised his personal safety. Seeking anonymity and existential answers, he traveled India, trained with world-renowned gurus and became a certified somatic practitioner and yoga instructor. Yet it wasn’t until Adam met Elisa that he experienced himself as a Soul and understood the eternal nature of love. As a healer, he uses spiritual coaching, somatic healing and his own intuitive abilities to connect people to their Soul.
Together, they help individuals awaken and deepen their soulful nature within relationship. As married parents of two, Elisa and Adam use practical stories from the trenches of everyday life, their personal spiritual experiences and examples from their work with thousands of couples to teach sacred partnership. They teach that the spiritual journey can be as simple–– and profound––as getting closer to the people we love. With relationship as a spiritual path, we discover that instead of giving or receiving love, we become love itself.
They host the popular spiritual podcast, Holy & Human. Hailed as being both sacred and relatable, they are known for making esoteric topics, practical and accessible. They help modern-day mystics remember and reunite with the all-loving, always-present, wise Source of their being. Adam and Elisa both offer client sessions, spiritual retreats and host an online mystery school.

Jessie was born in the Soviet Union as Asya Bronfman
A descendant of Holocaust survivors living in a communal apartment with four households, one toilet, and a rickety old bathtub in the middle of the kitchen. Her family sought asylum in the U.S., and after awaiting their fate in Austria and Italy, they finally made it to Brooklyn in 1989.
As an 8-year-old refugee who only spoke Russian, Jessie (or “Asya” then) yearned to fit in. She changed her name and much about herself. Later though, she experienced depression, an eating disorder, and all sorts of existential problems. She pursued Hollywood fame, men, and the American Dream, but always fell short.
Until she stopped.
With the help of the Tao Te Ching she rediscovered herself and her innate power, and she learned to chill. Her book, Don’t Just Sit There, DO NOTHING, will help others do the same.
“An honest, magnificent journey of courage and insight. The unveiling of light in a way that illuminates the light in each of us. I think you will find a hero in this book. And that hero is you.” —Laura Day, NYT bestselling author of Practical Intuition and The Circle

Having been born into a cult, and finally freeing herself and her children 33 years later; Frances believes that cults and other coercive spiritual groups/teachings/techniques are on the rise and "we are headed towards a spiritual holocaust". The therapy model and techniques she uses are designed to liberate individuals and restore self-love, self-empowerment and self-worth.
The rise of empaths, healers and intuitives is being mistaken as regular people having "special powers". Dr. Yahia believes each individual has an internal guidance system, but spiritual teachers and leaders often try and override it, this lack of trust in self is eroding society and is empowering people who are simply narcissists.
Frances begs you to stop giving away your power! Your internal guidance (she calls hers her jumping jellybean) is equal in each human being, sometimes it's been overridden by your religion, upbringing or society. With some simple training you can reestablish this connection to your Self. Your intuition is a human right and everyone has it, it just may look different. It's ok to seek guidance; however, guidance is simply a suggestion, it's never mandated, angry or coercive. There are no special powers, talismans or protections, simply a call to show up as your highest self.
Love, community, service and taking personal responsibility are the tenants Frances lives by.
Jeff sits down with Sharla Ember for a very deep conversation about her music, her evolution as a human being, and about her life journey.
As the interview begins, she shares one of her very healing sound meditations.
Sharla Ember is a musical mystic, sound healer, singer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist including piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, tongue drum, and crystal bowls. Her musical sound crosses into many cultural styles and time signatures sprinkled with layered harmonies and counter melodies.
In 2003, after having an encounter with divine unconditional love and experiencing a deeply personal realization that God IS unconditional love, she left the fear-based fundamentalist dogma she had grown up with and began an intense inward journey that she now expresses through her music.
Sharla leads workshops and events where she combines music, meditation, and spiritual guidance to inspire people to discover their deepest soul purpose and return to their natural state of being which is Love. It’s her passion to bring all races, religions, and cultures together in unity through music, community, unconditional love and acceptance.

About TonyTony graduated from the William Penn Charter School, in Philadelphia. He then continued his education at Lake Forest College, in Chicago, Il.
A Liberal Arts education ignited Tony’s interest in existential philosophy. Existential thought is deductive at its core. It demands that Tony, and now, the entire human species, views the world through a starkly realistic lens.
Tony started his professional career in relationship-based sales, eventually becoming the top producer with ADT National Accounts.
In 2000, Tony reinvented his career, earning his licenses as a Registered Investment Advisor with PNC Investments, and later, with the Royal Bank of Canada.
Tony’s passion today is centered on the growth of Noēsis, to create a worldwide network of education, to understand the totality of evolutionary influence on modern behavior, to enable the arrival of the human species into a sustainable future.
Tony raised his family in Eagleville, Pa. He names his two children, Matthew and Jack, as being his greatest achievement.
About Noesis
Noēsis is a Non-Profit Organization, Dedicated to Helping the Human Species to Achieve Sustainability.
A helpless and exhausted Humanity has suddenly arrived to a place that feels far less promising than we were taught to expect.
The human species, all eight billion of us together, senses a gathering storm. Noēsis was formed to help the human race achieve sustainability, by exposing the evolutionary motivators that combine to influence all modern behavior. Ancient messages continue to haunt the human mind.
The only way to get ourselves under control is to determine how we lost control. We have a key that was never available–the evolutionary data that will allow self-discovery for the entire human species.
We Are Educators. Our mission is to identify and describe the machine-like action of evolutionary relics inside all of us, against which we are largely powerless in the modern day. To bring them into view will open a window to human sustainability.

Beginning in her youth as a volunteer and continuing through her career, she has made it a priority to aid individuals in finding and meeting their emotional, educational, or professional goals. From counseling children and families to facilitating civilian and military members in social and educational leadership—as Director for Fleet and Family Services at GTMO—she has been blessed with assisting others in the journey of becoming their best selves. Lara has completed coursework for two doctorates with a focus on research, evaluation, and clinical psychology and a master's in general psychology from Walden University. Through her career, she has found solace and joy in her civil service—the main driver in sharing her experience of Caged.
Lara has since retired from civil service and private sector roles and her new goal is to continue to help others through the written word. She hopes that by sharing her story, she will give voice to the topics of domestic abuse and the broken system that desperately needs repair.
Regardless of her struggles, one thing has been constant throughout Lara’s journey: the pride, respect, and unconditional love that she has for her two exceptionally intelligent daughters who have overcome the same trauma and challenges described within the pages of Caged. They have used the experiences to help forge who they are—strong and independent women—and move forward in life. These remarkable young ladies are in the process of completing their educational journeys and advancing into their careers, as they too, look to help others in their diametrically different fields of study.
Lara now spends her time in Pensacola, Florida with her loving family, dogs, and grand puppies. She’s learning to move forward with hope that one day, she will no longer be caged by her past, and will be free to fly forward unburdened.

Over her career she has presented at health conferences and participated in over 200 radio interviews, including talkback. She is a health and wellbeing presenter for the new Feisty, Fabulous & 50+ community radio program and podcast.
Sallyanne founded Eating for You, an online business, to help women reclaim themselves and their lives through mindful eating and living. The Eating for You approach is based on scientific research, Eastern nutrition and Sallyanne’s own experiences of transitioning from dieting to mindful eating herself, as she realised that healthy eating wasn’t meant to be so hard. Sallyanne has a private community of over 2000 members.
The Emotional Eating Triggers Checklist
The 'Emotional Eating Triggers Checklist' has evolved from Sallyanne's near daily conversations with women about their eating habits. It has been responsible for giving women a new understanding of their biggest barriers to changing the way they eat. And most importantly how to transform the negative voice inside their heads into one that is supportive of their health and wellbeing goals. It really is about identifying one of these self-sabotaging voices and putting an alternative in place. These triggers are the same for men too.

Each of us knows how it feels to make the right choice. The true choice. When our outer actions reflect our inner wisdom, we feel positive, energized, creative, loving, and fulfilled. So why do we sometimes ignore that wisdom and make bad decisions? The problem lies in our mind…and the solution lies there too.
Your Conscience, a new book by AMI Founder Leonard Perlmutter, helps us understand how to train the mind to make choices that lead to the kind of life we want to live. This short, powerful handbook teaches that we already have everything we need to live a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life. We must simply learn a few tools to access our own unlimited wisdom and creativity.
LEONARD PERLMUTTER (Ram Lev) is the founder and director of the American Meditation Institute in Averill Park, NY and is the originator of National Conscience Month. She experienced many health issues during childhood and almost died when she was fifteen from complications of Crohn’s dis-ease. After many years of doctors treating the symptoms with western medicine, she knew there had to be another way of being healed and healthy. After a profound experience at the age of 31, she realized there was a different way and that she was meant to support herself and others in healing on a deeper level.
Since this moment in 2007, Jessica began studying and practicing energy work and sound healing. She became more conscious of what her body was asking for and began working with Naturopaths, Nutritionists, and other Mentors to assist her in the healing process. Through her own research and life experience, she found that a combination of diet, exercise, and emotional healing practices was the key.
About Irie Blues
Photography is the portal to how my brain communicates life visually. Ever since mental health became an important element in my life, I have asked myself "How can I live a better life and remain at peace with the blues?" Presenting color psychology, light and harmony through the world of photography are my creative practices. By blending a multitude of elements to produce many forms of harmony are my experiments for socially conscious connections. I have been able to not only conduct these perspectives through photography, but through community events, where I am bridging artistic gaps and empowering others. ABOUT HER NEW BOOK
The practice of mindfulness is most often touted for its profound mind, body, and spirit benefits. In Sit Down to Rise Up, self-care activist Shelly Tygielski shows that mindfulness can also be a powerful tool for spurring transformative collective action.
“The premise of this book,” Shelly states, “is fairly simple: When we are interconnected, when one of us heals, we all heal.”
Organized in three sections—Me, We, and Us—SIT DOWN TO RISE UP sheds light on:
Why self-care — a commitment to taking an active role in safeguarding our mental and physical wellness — isn’t self-centered but truly a selfless act — and ways to expand our view of the “self” to include our family, community, human beings across the globe, and the natural world.
How we are each born with a sense of agency — the ability to rise up, assert ourselves, and become an agent for social change, regardless of our circumstances — and ways to uncover and nurture that seed within us.
Why positive thinking as a consistent habit is downright impossible — and how to find simple, unconditional happiness that is not in opposition to negative experiences through conscious action and connection with others
Why self-care — a commitment to taking an active role in safeguarding our mental and physical wellness — isn’t self-centered but truly a selfless act — and ways to expand our view of the “self” to include our family, community, human beings across the globe, and the natural world
The power of showing up, taking baby steps, and making incremental change — and an arsenal of tools to help anyone create circles of influence for serving others and doing good, sparking a ripple effect that continues to reverberate and inspire people of all types everywhere.
Why we urgently need to extinguish the stigma attached to asking for help and support the concept and reality of equity, how to set up your own mutual aid network…and more.

ABOUT NICOLE
I am a broker of delightful disruption hell-bent on making love cool again.
After a couple of decades in NYC and a few years in Paris, I have returned to Oklahoma, where I seek opportunities to connect with other curious humans, create art, and initiate projects for the common good.
My background is multidisciplinary collaboration, where generosity and authentic response transcend discipline, language and culture. Spending decades in creative spaces governed by “I don’t know - let’s be lost together” has taught me that curiosity in the face of uncertainty fosters deep connection, full expression and collective transformation. Process is the product, and the medium is, as always, the message. My personal journey of healing from Complex Trauma/C-PTSD is rooted in compassion, and I am uniquely able to create brave, safe spaces that nurture vulnerability, the surest path to risk, growth and innovation.
My primary tool in performance is Soundpainting, a universal sign language for live composition, powered by the offerings of the performers, sculpted in real time to highlight the immediacy of live performance and the power of improvisation.
Maverick Arts, LLC is the arm of my work that incorporates my artistic expertise with my desire to advocate for cultural dialogue and experience. I partner with individuals, non-profits, governmental organizations, educational institutions and industry to provide dynamic initiatives powered by global creative experience, expansive social perspective and contemporary collaborative expertise.
ABOUT SPARK!
SPARK! is a daring and diverse new ensemble of acclaimed artists joining forces to bring cutting-edge, immersive performance to the heart of OKC. SPARK! harnesses collective creativity to ignite community healing and cohesion, rethinking how the arts engage with each other, and with the public.
"We need spaces to heal from the trauma of isolation, division, inequity and loss brought or revealed by the past year.
Live performance is uniquely poised to foster belonging, meaning and unity. But to do so effectively, I believe we've gotta rethink and transcend both the idea of shared space and the transactional, passive entertainment we've become accustomed to.
Throughout my career as a collaborative performing artist, I have seen, time and again, that creating a performance together, in a public space, has the power to activate vibrant, light-hearted and radically inclusive engagement. In fact, studies have proven this - the evolutionary psychology concept of positivity resonace explains why our heartbeats synchronize when we gather: collaborative, shared co-experience of positive emotion is the most elemental building block of love.
I feel called at this moment in our lives to share the expertise I've honed in NYC and Europe with my hometown of OKC. Intentionally applied radical collaboration can help us come together with curiosity, compassion, joy and play. That's what SPARK! is all about."
Nicole Poole, Producing Artistic Director
SPARK! joyfully merges dance, visual art, music, poetry and theatre into wildly unpredictable, one-of-a-kind happenings created with the public in pop-up locations accessible to the broader OKC community. Our events are free of charge and intended to reconnect us through active creativity, radical collaboration and shared humanity.

ABOUT JOSH
Take away the sun, so I may rove the ocean despite light.
Let go the hand, so sightless fog drifts in between reflections of ourselves.
Give me a lifetime to forget the language of my birth,
so only wind screams out my lungs when I'm aflame.
We were born to create.
I will not betray my instinct.
I will dig my voice out from beneath the stone.
Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Father of Five talented children.
Questioning everything in a relentless quest for harmony.
Finding the path.
Living life everyday, following my natural instincts.
Growing wise.
Experimenting at the boundaries of what the mind can create.
The first time in my life a brush from my hand hits a canvas was an explosion of emotions that I’m still trying to figure out in my own mind as it creates images of a people and a planet.
Art, my outlet has become my voice. The filtration between the brain and the hand. A direct influence of every experience in my life combined towards a single subject.
Born an artist. My entire life has lead to being an artist. Creating, exploring and experiencing life and how it affects one’s outlook on the world. Ultimately how all these views are transferred through a medium.
Compositions arranged straight from the most powerful tool on Earth, the mind. Paintings are sculpted at a journeyman's pace by the use of oil and pallet knife. Bronze sculptures crafted exclusively by hand, where a thought can become completely encompassed.
Jeff sits down with Meg Sutherland as she shares deeply about her inner journey through the process of creation of The Victory of Greenwood project and what it all means to her personally. She also speaks very compellingly about her own evolution through this process.
To learn more about The Victory of Greenwood project and the book, visit
https://thevictoryofgreenwood.com
Meg Sutherland is a communications and marketing professional with over 15 years of experience. Much of her focus has been on helping area non-profits that provide assistance for women, children and minorities. Most recently, she co-founded Spark Collaborative which supports creative projects with some element of social responsibility. The most recent of these is the Victory of Greenwood where she performs extensive research, editing and grant writing.
Her pro-bono work has included providing public relations services to TulsaNow and as a storyteller for Code for Tulsa (a local brigade of Code for America). She was also instrumental in the creation of Tulsa Little Jam, a video and podcast series showcasing area musicians and performers, which launched in Tulsa in 2018. Meg graduated, cum laude, from Langston University in 1996 with a B.A. in Psychology. She has two adult sons and resides in Tulsa, OK.
The Victory of Greenwood endeavors to tell the story of Greenwood from the perspective of the heroes and entrepreneurs who built Greenwood and then rebuilt it after its destruction. Historians have published many books and articles about the days surrounding the 1921 Race Massacre, but Tulsa knows very little about the founding of Greenwood. We as a city know even less about Greenwood's reconstruction. Against all odds, the neighborhood was built again, better than before, and became known as “Black Wall Street”.
The name Victory of Greenwood is attributed to Timantha Norman, executive editor of the Tulsa Star. She and her staff have been wonderful joint partners throughout the process of writing this article series and book and we're grateful for their collaboration.
We began publishing a series of articles in the fall of 2019 with the goal of sharing Greenwood's story from the perspective of its founders and significant historical figures. The project will cover Greenwood’s early history, the 1921 massacre, Greenwood's rebuilding, and its prosperity through the late 1960s, focusing on the neighborhood’s great nationwide legacy. Every day that we work on this project, we uncover a piece of history that Tulsa has not seen for decades-in some cases for over a century.
The article series will be published as a book in May, 2021. We are producing a series of events, a video series, a podcast and a web-based interactive timeline and archive, and will be contributors to the collections/exhibits housed at the Greenwood Rising Museum.
We have listened to our city’s conversation about the massacre and about Greenwood’s history and legacy for the past 20 years and we believe that it is incomplete. This project, for us, is an attempt to tell the story of Greenwood’s triumphs so that as a city we might learn from and be inspired by the people who rebuilt the neighborhood in spite of the tremendous challenges they faced.
Greenwood’s history is incredibly rich, multifaceted, and fascinating. By learning the individual human experiences of Greenwood residents, Tulsa can begin to come together as a community promoting growth, cooperation, equity and respect for all its citizens. Perhaps other communities will look to Tulsa’s efforts and be moved to strive for their own growth and reconciliation. The Victory of Greenwood continues.

Why does systemic work matter?** I know first hand the impact this work has had in my life. It is powerful. If an individual is willing, it can be the catalyst for new growth and perspective. I love guiding people to a place in their life where they can access more resources and support. I want more ground to stand upon for all people. I love to see people stepping into the bright, shining lights they are. Regardless of how one finds a road towards healing, it is important to remember that everyday you have a choice.
My commitment to myself and others: To be the best me I can be. I am a teacher and mostly, I am a student. In case you are wondering, yes, I have a coach. I have mentors, and I have teachers. I would not be here showing up in this way if I didn’t.
A few other things about me: I’m a public speaker, facilitating TeamBuilding workshops for businesses and organizations. I co-founded OK, So Tulsa’s Storyslam in 2013 (which became a non-profit in 2020) and before covid, co-hosted the event each month.

Jeff sits down with Louise Livingstone from the Heart Sense Research Institute as she shares very deeply about her Journey and evolution and about the work that she does with individuals and organizations to empower them to return to the heart and to reconnect to life.
Her next Introduction to Heart Sense course is beginning online on Monday 13th September. For more information see the following link - https://www.heartsenseresearch.co.uk/training-events
“Imagine that the heart is trying to speak to us; how would we understand its language and receive its message?
How might we cultivate the ears to hear the heart’s voice, and focus the eyes to see the heart in its authenticity?” --Louise Livingstone, 2019
**About Louise
In the early 1990s, I developed a condition called myocarditis which enlarged my heart and left me with numerous physical ailments. Deep in my soul, I knew that my heart was urgently trying to speak to me, making me aware that I had been ignoring my heart's wisdom and guidance for many years. This experience transformed my life, and I began a long journey of recovery; learning to listen to the soft whispers of my heart's wisdom and guidance. This meant un-learning almost everything I was taught about the world through the contemporary Western approach towards knowledge; along the way gaining an MSc in Holistic Science from the Schumacher College, and a PhD in Transformative Education from Canterbury Christ Church University. My PhD thesis drew on the discourses of transformational learning, depth psychology, holistic science, cultural history, esoteric wisdom and religious philosophy.
I am the founder of the Heart Sense Research Institute. My work aims to re-imagine the long-forgotten wise and intelligent heart for contemporary times; illuminating through research, contemplative action and nourishing dialogue how the heart as a focal point of compassion, love and kindness, and as an organ of perception and wisdom, is a valuable and vital ally in our world of increasing global challenges, injustice and inequality. I particularly work with people to empower them to access their heart's wisdom in order to engage more meaningfully with life.**

**To learn more about Ursula and her work, visit
http://ursulafineart.com
Back in the 1950s a group of painters in the San Francisco Bay Area established what came to be known as Bay Area Figurative Painting. Originally David Park, Elmer Bischoff and Richard Diebenkorn, painters who had all done abstract pictures, decided to embark on figuration which was indebted to abstract gesture painting, but looked again the world of appearances for their subjects.
They even painted from the life model which simply was not done by the Abstract Expressionists. A second generation, Joan Brown, Manuel Neri, Bruce McGaw and others made this new approach to painting (or sculpting) the human figure, into their own and endowed it with a new spirit.
Ursula O’Farrell can be said to represent a third generation which includes Christopher Brown and Roger Hermann. She has made this tradition as the source of her own work. It is important that she looked beyond her immediate environment. She spent a seminal year in Florence and another in Germany and she took a long look at Matisse’s paintings of women and learned how to fuse figuration with abstraction.**

Jeff sits down with Conner Durand as he shares some recent experiences and transformation related to identity and confronting outselves about what and who we are not.
They also talk about the fear and disconfort that can result when even the spiritual identity is blown apart and how both we and our lives and Consciousness just unfold and flow as we do when we just live moment to moment without believing anything about who we are, why we are here, and what this life is about.
**As Conner said, “it’s both the hardest and the easiest thing we can do.”
From Conner-
"We are the stories we tell ourselves. The views we hold of our pasts obstruct the future of which we are without those views, and this process becomes the boxes of which we all find ourselves living within. What would life be like if we were free to be and free to act without constraint of identity?
Confronting ourselves where we are lends us the authenticity to know where we are being inauthentic, and in doing so, collapses the story told about our suffering or celebration. In other words, what’s possible for our lives is governed by our views of it - good or bad. No one wants to lose themselves or their identity. We are who we are with our memories, hopes, dreams and fears, and we find comfort in the mental worlds built that house our lives.
In confronting ourselves and understanding where we are not, we are granted the freedom to create in a new space free from the limitation of the stories we think we are so far tied within. We are all the authors of our own stories, and whether we pay attention to this or not, it will continue to unfold – I am suffering told in the story of how Love knows and holds itself, and in as such, I am created into it.
Who would you be if you were free from the stories of your past and what stories would you want to tell yourself in your future?"**

Following the release of her acclaimed debut album, British/Portuguese singer - songwriter Nessi Gomes (winner of the Best Unsigned British Female Artist for 2016) is embarking on her first Australian tour.
Born on the tiny Island of Guernsey to a Portuguese family, Gomes channels influences from both sides of her ethnicity, blending the essence of the traditional, emotional and ‘larger than life’ Fado folk music with British progressive modern inspiration.
Diamonds & Demons is the debut album by musician Nessi Gomes, a composer and lyricist of rare invention and beauty. Ensuing tales of darkness and light allow a deeper exploration of the human condition, psyche, collective fears and torments. Nessi and her producer Duncan Bridgeman ('1 Giant Leap’) together dug an uncharted tunnel into the artist's turbulent heart and soul. The album was recorded following a successful fundraising campaign in April 2015 during which more than $50,000 was raised. Nessi toured in the wake of the campaign, playing in 25 European countries in the last 2 years includes major festivals in Europe.
And now she has the perfect “thank you” to those who have supported her on her journey: an album revealing an authentic and heartfelt search for light, depth, hope and truth; an artistic quest for love and trust. A series of intricately detailed, hauntingly atmospheric and lushly textured avant-ballads. Here is a musician whose work obliquely references her travails and nods to Björk and Kate Bush but is uniquely her own, with Portuguese inflections and intimations of hope and dread.**

Jeff sits down with Conner Durand to hear about his life Journey, about how his Conscious has changed, and about the most important realizations that he has had along the way.
**Conner Durand comes as Life’s own estatic vision - an embodiment of the attention and intellect that is Love itself. He is not a teacher nor student, but a being in its own rite of existence, and he is the story Life tells itself to be known.
His Life is his message and with it he empowers others to find their own and the gift that comes with it. The message is his perception of Love and the gift is what he uses to manifest it here and now. Living the most ordinary life, he perceives the extraordinary, and spends his time empowering others and helping them be with their own.
In this world, there are constant experiences of suffering and the prospect of losing ourselves to our deaths. Understanding and befriending his own end has allowed him to dedicate his Life to service and the Love thereof. He is not a messenger for any answer or Truth, but for the methods of which it may be known. By the end of his Life, he will have lived it and he will have loved it - there is nothing else for him to do but be himself.**

This afternoon, I sat with Phyllis Douglass for a different kind of conversation and had no idea what this conversation would even be about until it happened. All that I knew was that I trusted in what would unfold and intuited that what she would share today is in perfect alignment and timing as we prepare to begin another trip around the sun.
Phyllis shares about a very powerful realization that just came up in her Consciousness this morning, and what she spoke about was deeply nourishing, insightful, and transformative for me and feeling very strongly that it will resonate with others as well.
I am so joyous and honored to share this with everyone who is moved to listen to it and to experience it.

Phyllis specializes in untying the knots that bind through the intelligence of the Body, power of the Mind, and wisdom of the Spirit. Besides being an Author, a catalyst for Healing, and a Musician. . . she is a Visionary.
In her practice, she offers individualized therapeutic bodywork, and spiritually oriented healing modalities that MOVE the body and the mind to help YOU become a frequency match to your innermost desires, create flow within all aspects of your life, and to fully express the personal gifts you came into this world to share.
Working with powerful and proven tools for clearing, release and manifestation, she assists and guides her clients forward towards a more fulfilled, healthier and purposeful life!
The key thing that she has taken away from her life experiences thus far, is that being 'uncomfortable' is the seed for physical and emotional healing, personal growth and evolution. And she is here to help people water that seed, and blossom from within the confines of that 'too little pot' that has kept them locked onto a path that feels like it belongs to someone else.

In college, Brett decided that limits of what we can achieve and the quality of our lives is dependent on our ability to communicate well. His degree in interpersonal communication combined nicely with his fascination for technology leading to a career as a technical story-teller, author, blogger, and speaker for companies like Microsoft, Adobe, and others.
But he wanted to go much deeper, so he sought out the best he could find. He has had the good fortune to study Hakomi somatic psychotherapy with the founder – Ron Kurtz, Matrix Leadership group dynamics with the founder – Amina Knowlan, and meditation with the late Audle Allison.
He taught meditation for several years and founded the Quest Institute in Dallas. Other influences include martial arts, contact improvisation, and training with Gabrielle Roth
As a result of this unique background, he has come to believe there no faster way to improve your communications and the quality of your life than being mindful during conversation. The Language of Mindfulness is the distillation of many years of work and inspired a TEDx talk (2021), the book and class in development.

Her process is called HeartShifting and it’s a recalibration of energy.

Jeff sits down with Yoga teacher, trainer, and author Amy Weintraub as she shares very deeply about how she discovered the healing power of Yoga and how it alleviated her depression and changed her life.
She also speaks in depth about how she was ultimately moved to dive deeper into the practice and was also led to train Yoga teachers and mental health therapists and health care providers in very specific protocols to help their clients and patients manage their mood and mental health.
To learn more about Amy and her work and for more information about her new book, Temple Dancer, which will be released soon, please visit
https://www.amyweintraub.com/
Amy began her love affair with yoga in the late 1980’s, after a successful career in television broadcasting that garnered the documentaries she wrote and produced national and regional awards but did not alleviate her chronic depression. When she started practicing yoga daily, with supervision, she was able to titrate off medication and find joy in the world once again.
As her practice deepened, she wrote for magazines like Yoga Journal and Yoga International and wrote the first feature article about yoga and depression called “Yoga the Natural Prozac”, which appeared on the cover of Yoga Journal in 1999.
Her own recovery led her to research and write books on yoga and mental health, and she became passionate about sharing what had helped her heal with others who suffered.
In 2004, she founded the LifeForce Yoga® Healing Institute, which continues to train yoga teachers and health care providers in yoga practices appropriate in clinical and yoga therapy settings.
She is happy that the evidence-based yoga protocol for managing mood she developed is in use in health care settings throughout the world. This protocol is featured on audio-visual products, including the LifeForce Yoga series, an award-winning library of evidence-based yoga and meditation CDs and DVDs for mood management.

The conversation centers around the intersection of art and higher consciousness and how her work has evolved as she has evolved personally and professionally.
Sonya’s distinctive style is shaped by her training in hand-drawn animation, combined with expertise in digital color, 3-D computer animation and digital effects. Early computer art and animation deeply shaped Sonya’s decision to use digital tools and a cinematic process to make fine art. In this segment, we hear from Edmond physical therapist Holly Jones, who is also a pianist and composer. She has just released her third album, “Storyteller” and performed a sold-out performance at the UCO Jazz Lab in May of this year. We hear from her as she talks about how composing music is "the way that she processes life" and how that informs her creative process. She shares a story of how she began studying classical piano as a child and developed her skills and how her particular style has evolved over the years. She then reflects on how her compositional skills were inspired by various popular songs on the radio. We then listen to her speak about how her life informs her music and vice versa, and the synergy between the two. She relays to us the importance of being fully present, being fully grounded in her own body, actually "being the music," and how she utilizes this as an ongoing practice that brings about peace in all aspects of her life, especially her work as a physical therapist. Ultimately, she sees her actual performing as a "conversation between both hands" as she plays the piano. She then shares her experience of traveling to Prague, Czechoslovakia in May of this year, in which orchestration was added to her piano album "Storyteller", orchestrated and conducted by Ludek Drizhal, and recorded by the Prague Metropolitan Orchestra. We then wrap things up as she talks about her goal of getting her compositions in film, and get a brief teaser about her next album, "Sacred Places". She plans to record both the piano solo version as well as the orchestrated version in Prague, benefitting from the classical influence of the region, and its inherent instrumental recording opportunities.
