Welcome to Rangers Rundown, a program made by and for Texas Rangers fans. Listen to the guys hash out analysis and theories on the current state of the team, while also covering the other 29 major league teams and their minor league affilates.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa is not only good at baseball, he's probably better than you think? Unless you think he's really good, in which case you win this week's episode!

Things have gone very poorly for the Rangers lately, and so Hayden makes everything worse by wondering if Joey Gallo will be part of the next good Rangers team. And if so, what his role might even be. AA Frisco has a fun rotation, most of the time. The draft is like, a month away, so the Rangers better pick a college pitcher, pretty please. Unless they don’t because all they do is draft bats now. Hold onto your butts.

Welcome to the Rangers Rundown! We are joined by the great Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News for an extended chat about a whole bunch of things, from Yang’s surprising success, clubhouse leadership roles, draft conjecture, and baseball tech. We had so much fun listening to Evan, and we know you will too. Go Rangers!

We mostly talk about Adolis Garcia again, and how the Statcast numbers agree that this isn’t a fluke. Stick around for banter and the reveal as to who our special guest will be this Tuesday!

So yeah, the Houston series went very poorly, so we talked a lot about the MiLB box scores. Adolis Garcia is actually kinda elite when it comes to hitting the ball hard, which usually means you’re actually good at baseball. Yankees are coming to town, and hopefully we are allowed to win baseball games again.

The Texas Rangers might be Actually Good. While there’s still a lot of ball left to play, it seems like this lineup is the real deal. Starting pitching has shown flashes of greatness. Regardless of if you think this is a contending team or not, they are undoubtedly exciting. The second-youngest and second-cheapest roster is attracting a lot of eyeballs, and they have delivered. Oh, and there’s also some reeeeeeal interesting action resuming in Frisco and Round Rock these days, Before jumping into all of that, we eulogize/bemoan the end of the Pujols era in Los Angeles. Wow.

It's Adolis' world, we're just living in it. The big man has a plan, and that plan is "trying to win baseball games." Join Max and Mike for a spicy dive into the newest Ranger sensation's scorching hot start, an extremely unsurprising examination of IKF's defense, and a stunning revelation about Shohei Ohtani that definitely will still be true by the time Max finishes editing and publishing this pod!

After this painfully boring losing series against Baltimore, we definitely didn’t want to talk about that. We did notice that Dillon Tate has fulfilled his destiny of being an Oriole, and that brings about feelings. The Independent Atlantic League is going to implement some bold rule changes, and we don’t really think they’re good ideas! The Angels and (World’s Best Athlete?) Shohei Ohtani are coming to town this week. Padres vs Dodgers is awesome. Go Rangers! Go Kyle Gibson..?!

Nate Lowe is the official topic of the podcast from now on, We wish we could build the whole plane out of Folty sliders but alas, Rougned Odor needs to shave and we wish him well, and we've got a new ballpark and it's still taking some getting used to.

After Texas went 1-2 in the opening series against the Royals, one thing is clear: they are who we thought they were. Twenty-one runs in three games undone by creatively demoralizing pitching. But! The trio of Mike, Max, and Hayden believe there are many reasons to watch the Rangers this season, and two of ‘em are starting games against Toronto this week. Plus, we remind you that minor league baseball will be a thing once again!

After all this time, the band is back together to talk about Texas Rangers baseball! Rumor has it they’re gonna play 162 games and everything! Can Ronald Guzman carve out a role for himself on this team? How long can Odor stick at third base, truly? How will IKF follow up his breakout season? Does this team employ a single pitcher who is Actually Good? We get into it!

Remember, it can always get worse. On the centennial episode with high production value, we deny our present reality by remembering Nomar Mazara, and check in on how his time in Chicago is going. The Rangers might have implicated themselves in a forever-meme with the Slam Diego Padres, and nothing is fun. We talk about the unwritten rules and how we deserve to be laughed at. But at least the Yadiel Rivera era has begun in Texas!

So, we’re probably not very good, but then again, we’ve had to play the Best Teams in Baseball. Gallo is good and Montero is good and Lynn is good, so...I guess we’ll see how this mad dash of a season turns out. For some reason, we pre-eulogized Choo. Anderson Tejeda made us feel great, for at least one day. Also….don’t think about Mike Minor! Nothing to see here!

We’re back! After simultaneously losing the will to pretend like we aren’t in 2020, we are back to talk about baseball games that we have all collectively decided count, apparently. Hooray! Jeff Mathis hit a triple, Lance Lynn is a literal beast, and Gallo hit the first homerun in our new stupid park! Hooray! Who knows how this is going to play out, especially with the expanded playoffs that we are still a little shaky on understanding. But anyways, we’re here, you’re there, the Rangers are playing baseball, and that’s pretty great news. Go Rangers!

The 2010 Texas Rangers seem to be falling back to earth after a 1-6 stretch that saw ineffective pitchers keep course and others trip up. How will this team figure out how to win without the home run? Stolen bases are one way, but is the team running into too many outs? Has converted reliever CJ Wilson been figured out, or is he fatigued as he blows past his innings record? Could Chris Davis have a future as a catcher? And it looks like Tom Hicks will be able to sell the team soon.

It appears that our report about the sky falling have been greatly exaggerated. Fresh off of a nice stretch of wins, the Rangers find themselves in first place on May 3rd. Josh Hamilton has woken up, CJ Wilson might be kind of an ace (?), and even Rich Harden acted like he knew how to win a ballgame. The bullpen seems to have been universally righted, and there’s no looking back. Hopefully. Also, Matt Treanor is the starting catcher.

The Rangers drop two of three versus the Tigers to earn a series split, forged by the tenacity of Colby Lewis and lackthereof from Feldman, Harrison, and the bullpen at large. At this point in the season, more games have been lost via late-inning bullpen meltdown as opposed to a “normal” loss. Perhaps there are reinforcements on the way?! (Please?)

The 2010 Rangers are off to a 4-3 start to the season, but could easily be 6-1 if not for two uncharacteristic blown saves by Frank Francisco. Is Neftali Feliz in line to take his job? Well, well, well… .the Astros are doing a great job of making the MLB offseason fun. The trio goes over what we know so far and what it means for the sport at large, and for the legacy of an objectively excellent ballclub. The Rangers also made a few interesting decisions pertaining to their 40-man roster as they look to the Rule 5 draft. Wish we could have seen Eli White be atheltic in a Rangers uniform, but alas!

The 2019 Texas Rangers season is over, and so is the long history of The Ballpark in Arlington. Max, Mike, and Hayden talk through some of the individual milestones that were reached this year, including 200 strikeouts for Mike Minor. Mike went to the Futures Game in Frisco and reported some great things. Finally, we eulogize TBiA with our favorite memories without totally getting emotional. We’ll talk to you down the road. Here we are, the final week of the 2019 Texas Rangers season, and the final homestand at The Ballpark in Arlington. It’s time to get a little retrospective on what happened this season and why, despite having two Cy Young-caliber starting pitchers, the Rangers will end up no better than a .500 club. The new stadium looms, and we talk about it for a little while without Hayden getting uncomfortably angry. With the new stadium will be a new team, one that will hopefully return us to the playoffs. How exactly will that happen? Perhaps Anthony Rendon or Garrit Cole will be under the Christmas tree this year? Finally, there are 29 other teams who played this year, so we talk about them and their funbers. Go Rangers!

The episode begins with us checking in on the Astros and yup they’re completely stacked. Sure miss Robinson Chirinos, too. We have a big ol’ funbers dump from around baseball, Nick Showlak is SO for real and he might be a fit at third base but he definitely needs to play every day in 2020. The Rangers are doing a really cool Futures Camp where we fans can watch the names we’ve (mostly) only read about in person!

Hiya! The trio is here to talk about Rangers baseball as they (pretty much) play out the string of an interesting season. AAA Nashville and AA Frisco are cleaning house, Kolby (the K stands for “strikeout”) and Brock wonder what the big deal is about pitching in the bigs. There’s a handful of things we need to be primed for this offseason, including 40-man roster crunch and if we decide to tender Nomar Mazara a contract...Finally, RIP to the Ballpark.

Well, after all that, we traded Chris Martin and got some international slot money. What does it mean that JD didn’t pull the trigger on a Mike Minor deal? IKF is back in the infield, so does that mean the Front Office didn’t see something that the rest of us did? Josh Jung is our #1 prospect according to MLB.com, and Sherten Apostle (lol Pirates) is #9 so we’ve got a fun set of players to keep track of at the hot corner. The Rangers currently sit at 24-23 as we near the end of May, and that’s despite having one of the toughest schedules in all of baseball. In the coming 35 games, they face some light competition, so we could be looking at a team at the end of June that is 10+ games over .500. Maybe we’ll be buyers at the deadline, since we don’t need an ace or backend of the bullpen guys to shore up the roster? They have gotten to this point by employing the best hitter AND pitcher in the American League, which is a nice surprise. Joey Gallo has a chance to do what only MVPs have done, and also something else that’s never been done by a hitter, ever: .300//500/.700. Hayden goes on a Shelby Miller monologue for some reason, and then we talk about how Ariel Jurado has been the unsung savior of the pitching staff. Finally, we do something we haven’t done much this year: talk about non-Rangers, specifically the Minnesota Twins.

Joey Gallo is the best hitter in the American League and the best Rangers prospect in 20 years. Hunter Pence is basically bizzaro Vlad Guerrero. Maybe we'll sign Dallas Keuchel. You never know what you're going to get out of MiLB. Martin Perez is good now and that makes us sad. Leclerc might be bad now and that makes us even more sad. Jose Leclerc has been taken out of the closer’s role, joining the lineage Rangers closers of jumping off a cliff inexplicably. Following that is a pretty natural talk about the good, the young, and the ugly throughout the organization. Emmanuel Clase is exciting!

Max and Mike sit down for an intimate one-on-one sesh exploring their deepest Elvis Andrus 2021 projection dreams. Do we talk about Dirk? Beltre? Russell Wilson in bed, for some reason? Oh yeah we do. Also Joey Gallo fun facts, Delino DeShields unfun facts, a bunch of Mike Minor Appreciation, a studious avoidance of Jose LeClerc, lol angles, bring on the Astros, and at one point it rains really hard. Bonus puppy snores if you listen close! Follow us on twitter: @RangersRundown, @SvelteMarvin, @cmichaelkinser, @BUHMoney Email us at: RangersRundown@gmail.com
We got a look at the future playing surface of the Texas Rangers and it wasn’t great! We’re really confused about how a $1,000,000,000 project couldn’t be built at ground level. We recorded live during the Rangers comeback win on Sunday, and we had fun watching that together. Elvis is so dang good. The Angels are coming to town, and Mike Trout is healthy, just for us. Hooray.

What year is it? Through 10 games, the 2019 Texas Rangers have either been very fun or very frustrating to watch, much akin to the Rangers teams of the early 00s. We’ve got interleague play coming up, sandwiched by two off days (thank goodness). Ronald Guzman is probably going to miss about a month, and so our dumb fan brains ponder why Gallo can’t keep raking at first base, and let Calhoun play LF in Arlington. Finally, Edinson Volquez might be forced to retire, and other pitchers have been ohsosobad, so perhaps we can keep a closer eye on the starters taking care of business on the farm. Go Rangers!

Opening Day has us thinking about the marking and national visibility of MLB. Mike went to his 42nd consecutive Opening Day. Honestly, some weird stuff happened and then we made a bet regarding an Adsrubal Cabrera jersey.

Hey you! 2019 Major League Baseball is finally here! Jason Hamel decided to retire rather than play for this forsaken team! We’re excited about roster stuff!(?) Max went to Nashville and he’s here to talk about how well Taylor Hearn pitched! Spring training matters and we accidentally talked about Dallas Keuchel and Craig Kimbrel. There was some Willie news, and maybe none of it mattered at all. But hey! Opening Day is this week!! Indulge in a Fowl Pole if you dare! Go Rangers!! Go say hi to Mike at the ballpark.

Recorded on Saturday, March 9th. Hey! If you’re reading this, then the Texas Rangers are already underway with their first full-squad workout of 2019. Our long regional nightmare is over! - or has it only just begun?? Jeff Mathis and IKF are slated to start about 80 games each behind the plate, there’s no spot in the lineup for Willie Calhoun to play, our top pitchin’ prospects are years away, and we aren’t projected to be very good. Or perhaps not! In a surprising twist of optimism, Max, Hayden, and Mike pump some sunshine into the narrative to get you, dear listener, ready for another year of baseball. And a great year it shall be.

Our first episode of 2019 is Episode 50! Woohoo! Manny Machado and Bryce Harper are still free agents because they’re waiting to sign with the Rangers and live in Arlington for the next decade. The org has shown a willingness to reevaluate their strategies, and that starts with new manager Chris Woodward. Our Chosen One got traded to Oakland in a deal that we’ll be able to put a grade on in 7 years. Adsrubal Cabrera has been actually good at the plate and isn’t a LHH, so that’s really nice. Overall, the future is bright as we head into the final season in The Ballpark in Arlington.

It’s official: Adrian Beltre has retired. Max, Mike, and Hayden talk about his legacy and what we love most about him. A changing of the guard will also take place off of the field, and so the question must be asked: who is the clubhouse leader on one of the youngest teams in baseball? Texas signed catcher Jeff Mathis to a 2-year, $6.25 million deal, and we wonder aloud why we would do that. Finally, the 40-man roster has been set, and the Rangers have 3 open spots likely heading into the Winter Meetings and Rule 5 draft from December 9-13th.

It’s time for the Year in Review for the 2018 Texas Rangers! After some brief musings on the current playoff picture, we go through the season game by game…not really, but we do give an overall season in review followed by some segments. Segments include Player of the Year, Story of the Year, Forgotten Stories, Offseason Hopes & Dreams.
Thank you so much for listening this year! We’ll be around and hopefully talking about a new manager and Beltre’s return.

MLB has finished its regular season, but that isn’t enough! There will be TWO Game 163s on Monday, and oddly the losers will stay in the tournament. We talk about that and how we think the early part of October will go. Wedged in between those segments is a discussion on how the Baltimore Orioles were historically bad and so was Chris Davis. Is there anything MLB can (or should) do to prevent teams from tanking?
Finally, we award the final Actually Good of the season to Adrian Beltre. Godspeed, El Capitan.
We’ll have our 2018 Rangers season in review episode up in the next week or so. Thanks for listening!

It’s the final week of the season, so Mike, Max, and Hayden take a look back at the truly horrible pitching we had to endure this year. Max make a pilgrimage to The Temple for the first time in over 20 years, and delivers us a “foreigner’s perspective” on the Ballpark. Mike was present for Beltre’s (probable) final home game, and shares his experience. Hayden crossed two major league stadiums on his recent trip to California and provides reviews of Petco Park and Dodger Stadium. Max has a Funbers segment, and we wrap up the episode with our apathy surrounding Jeff Banister’s firing.

Max is in Texas and gets to record live with Mike, and Hayden is back from California! We talk about Beltre’s final game and his potential chase for 500 career HR. Could Profar be extended at the end of this year, and would he want to sign one? Who is closer to the real Roughned Odor: 47 or 170 OPS+? Jose Leclerc is arguably the best pitcher in the American League, and is probably the best story of the 2018 season for the Rangers. There’s an impromptu Eddie Butler roast, and then followed by what we think will happen with the coaching staff going into the offseason.

It’s the platonic ideal of the Rangers Rundown podcast! We talk about the Rangers (obviously) and a bunch of other stuff that has nothing to do with baseball. Draft position, Beltre turning down a trade, non-descript white players, big ol’ dingers, copyright law…we’ve got it all! Mike also went to Oakland Coliseum last week, and gives us his review of one of the most storied* parks in baseball. Also, rejoice, for the worst part of the rebuild is nearly behind us! There’s nowhere to go but up! There are 22 games left! Go Rangers! Go Spokane! Go listen to Rangers On Deck!

The Minor League Baseball season ends today, so we are joined again by Kevin Carter of Baseball Prospectus to talk about the year that was on the farm! Episode 39: The Evergreen Episode
Evergreen topics galore on today’s podcast: Odor is super awesome, Beltre may still retire, A’s Magic is real, the Rangers are going to be victims in the MLB draft, and we may just need to get sum robot umps in here. Bonus mention of tall athletes in the same photo as short ones!

Joe Palumbo is very back from TJS and he is also on the 40-man roster hmmmmmm. But he’s just only one of the suddenly very interesting pitching staff for AA Frisco. Bubba Thompson is giving JD all the validation he needs for his “draft a toosly kid from the south” draft strategy. We also get Max’s thoughts on if Beltre will retire after the season. Finally, this is probably the end for the Rangers’ relationship with AAA Round Rock.

In lieu of that, Mike gives a review of his recent trip to see the Rangers play in Yankee Stadium. We also end up talking about how, if you really look at it, JD has kept the right players out of trades (Profar, Gallo, Mazara, etc.) and we trust him to lead this team to their next AL Pennant, and first World Series title, baby. It’s just Mike and Hayden this week! Following a brief recap of the series in Arizona, we discuss if Martin Perez’ 2019 option will be picked up, and say goodbye to (mostly) Kela (even though we love Diekman too!). Jeffery Springs made his ML debut during the series and Hayden would like to tell you how to enjoy his appearances. There’s profiles of the pitchers we acquired whose names we DO know, with some random Nelson Cruz and Tim Lincecum talk thrown in for good measure. The Rangers stomped the Astros in front of sellout crowds in Houston and our elimination number for the division remains at 34! In all seriousness, the Rangers had an Actually Good weekend, led by El Tipo himself, Roughned Odor. But it’s also the home stretch for trading season, and so let’s talk about some Rangers who might be leaving us, including Joey Gallo? Oh, and the Hamels trade was announced right after we recorded Episode 31, so we finally get around to reacting to that trade. We award our first Actually Good in awhile, and we give it to Rougned Odor! Conversely…Elvis has been actually bad so we talk about why that may be. Max, Mike, and Hayden spend most of this episode talking about the marking issues that MLB has, perceived or real, and what they could possibly do to change the culture surrounding baseball both on and off the field. If it should even change at all! But before that, the trio talks about the recent success of the Texas Rangers against non-elite teams, Jonathan Hernandez’s positive outing in Frisco, the (ideal) future of the Rangers starting rotation by 2020 (it might include Madison Bumgarner), messing with John Blake, and OUR BOY Hans F. Okay, so we spent a lot of time talking about the Atlanta Braves. But! They’re in first place and have the second-best record in the NL! They also hold the keys to the Youth Movement Kingdom, with Acuna, Albies, etc. Before Max and Hayden talk about that though, they undergo some sort of psychological gymnastics to see if any of this “trying to win multiple championships” deal is even worth it for some people. Do you know? We don’t! But REDACTED NAME OF A FORMER RANGERS PLAYER WHO WILL APPEAR ON THE PODCAST SOON might! Finally, we end with some MiLB nuggets and a late-breaking news discussion on what the A’s might be thinking with their handling of Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray.

After losing a lot, the Rangers have won a lot! Unlike the unconsciously poor Orioles and Royals, so let’s talk about them. Bartolo Colon finally became the winningest pitcher from the Dominican Republic, so we talk about Marichal and the history of the game. Another team that has been doing poorly is…the Rockies. Choo is good, still! However, Mike Trout is very very great, so of course his season is being wasted in Los Angeles.

Episode 22: We Love Baseball
This podcast is split up into two parts! Mike and Max bring you the updated standings from tankathon.com, and then remember when Bartolo was a fun Rangers pitcher. We saw Prince Fielder in the stands! He used to be a Ranger! Weird! Look, the trade deadline is ever-looming, so we’re ever-gonna talk about it. There was also a skirmish in Los Angeles the other day, in case you hadn’t heard.
Later, Hayden and Max start talking about the life of a bullpen catcher and jump headlong into a rabbit hole as to what makes baseball so real, beautiful, messy, and human. We would be committing a crime to Shin-Soo Choo and his wife if we didn’t talk about how he’s literally twice as good as the average baseball player, and oh yeah, the Rockies are in town. Similarly, we’re still doing the “Condor Guzman, professional MLB regular and shining star of 2018” thing! We’re one-third of the way through the season, and Mike Minor still has a long way to go – what does his future hold for this team? Sorry, but what is Carlos Tocci doing?? He’s the MVP of the Tankathon (tankathon.com/mlb), and we look around baseball to see how his efforts could translate into our favor next June. Speaking of 2019, there’s a discussion on the seriously crazy youth on the 2018 Rangers and how their growth today might translate into team success as early as next season. That growth is not without its rough patches, however, and the team offense has failed to meet expectations. Seeing Mike Trout play for a couple of days was great, and seeing Matt Moore in the upcoming series vs Oakland will not be. Also, the MLB draft is today! The Rangers will be picking at #15 and #55. We quickly talk about the 2-game split versus the Mariners, which included yet another outstanding performance by the best pitcher on this team, Bartolo Colon! He turns 45 in a week! We welcome on our first guest, Kevin Carter of Baseball Prospectus and Lone Star Ball! First we chat real quick about Beltre’s injury and if Cole Hamels is good anymore (Father Time is undefeated). Then we tap into our precious MiLB resource and talk about some of the players in the organization that just may take the field in Arlington in the coming years. Kevin gives a breakdown of how he scouts and evaluates players before a roundtable discussion over Profar, IKF, Calhoun, Connor Sadzeck, Andy Ibanez, Adam Choplick, Jose Trevino, and Hunter Cole. We play a fun game called Dude or Not, Kevin talks about some non-Ranger prospects currently making the Texas League exciting, and there’s a brief mention of the can’t-miss prospects currently in Carolina.

We love Delino Deshields! We love Mazara! They are both young and hopefully part of the next wave of successful Rangers teams. We spend some time considering Isaiah Kiner-Falefa’s future role with the club – including this season and those (hopefully successful) teams we have coming (hopefully) soon. We touch on some injured players including Tim Lincecum and Yadier Molina. There’s a brief preview of our upcoming series with the (somehow not utterly awful) Detroit Tigers, and then we dive into some of our biggest non-Rangers baseball interests. It gets a little weird.

This episode was recorded on May 3rd, aka Free Willie Day – could we be seeing Calhoun called up to Arlington soon? We run through some of the highs and lows of the Cleveland series (at least there were some highs!) and preview the upcoming (current) series versus the Boston Red Sox before sprinkling on some love for Mookie Betts and Joey Gallo.

Episode 10 – We Won Some Games It’s episode 10! The Rangers won 3 straight games before Hayden decided it would be a good idea to watch Sunday’s game versus Toronto, so we talk about the goodness of the first two games and the yuckiness of the third one. What are we gonna do about Martin Perez? Is he fixed like he said he was?? Probably not! We award our second-ever Actually Good award, preview the Cleveland series, and mention the greatest hitter in baseball that you might not be aware of. Somewhere in here is also well-deserved praise of Bartolo Colon.

We tossed around the idea of publishing 30 minutes of dead air in memorial/protest of the 2018 season so far, but Mike and Max decided to get together and talk about it (Hayden is still holding out). We talk about Superman (Adrian Beltre) and his kryptonite (his own legs), and who’s on third in his absence. Following that is a recap of Joey Gallo’s great week and a discussion of some unbreakable records in Texas Rangers team history. Guess along with Max as Mike presents some fascinating numbers. Finally, there’s a preview of the upcoming series versus the Toronto Blue Jays and Max teases a Martin Perez project he’s been developing.

This episode (accidently) ended up being our first episode primarily focused on the farm. Mike takes us into the different eras in Rangers history by average age on the roster, and the success that (sometimes) followed youth. We then look to the farm to see what kinds of players might be bursting onto the MLB stage in the coming years, and all of the reasons to be optimistic that the Rangers will be able to return to the playoffs quickly. (Hint: our outfield is dreamy.) We issue our first Actually Good award, and prepare for the Swingin’ A’s to come to town.

Following a series loss to the Rays in Tampa Bay, the crew talks about the pitching performances of the three leftys who started each of the games, and basically, why they are bad! Before that though, we tease a new segment-award, Actually Good. There’s talk of Martin Perez and the linear weight of all of his pitches, and Derek Holland might be a sign as to if the Rangers will pick up his $7.5 million option for 2019. We talk a tiny tiny bit about MiLB, and we learn who Max’s (incorrect) favorite Seattle Mariner is! Follow us on Twitter @RangersRundown, @SvelteMarvin, @BUHMoney, @cmichaelkinser
The Texas Rangers have won their first series of the season on the road against the Houston Astros! Max and Hayden recap the greatness of Bartolo Colon’s outing on Sunday night and discuss positive signs from Mike Minor as he continues his transition back into a starting pitcher. Followed by that Is a congratulations to the Deshields family and speculation as to what might come next for that exciting family. Finally, we wonder who even is Cole Hamels anymore as we preview the series versus Tampa Bay, deliver the most comprehensive Renato Nunez coverage, and mention Jared Hoying! We’re never losing again!

It's Episode 5 of Rangers Rundown! Please, take a seat. We need to have a talk. The season has not progressed as we had all hoped it would, but that doesn't mean that all hope is lost! Mike walks us through a Rangers draft history leading into a roundtable regarding the viability of tanking in MLB. The offense is nearly dead last in offensive production, but are there reasons this trend could reverse soon? Max will tell you all about BABIP and xBABIP and how our sluggers have mostly been plain unlucky lately. We have to address the injuries up the middle of the diamond, and we even learn a little elbow anatomy! With the season looking like it may not head down WS Contention Blvd, why should we even watch the Rangers? The guys all share what we can be excited about on the field, which includes Hayden imploring you to pay your respects to one of the greatest baseball players of all time while you still can.
