Meet Katy and Sophie - we talk about what it is like to be training as an ordinand and a curate in the Church of England.
In this episode we share some of our thoughts and experiences of prayer. We briefly discuss the film ‘Don’t Look Up’, the ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ get a mention too, and we are open about the challenges as well as joys of ministry as curates in the Church of England. It was great to be together in Bath & Wells Diocese for this recording! We hope to record from Oxford in February :-)
ETC Conference for Female Ordinands and Curates took place last month - the theme was Sabbath - we share our highlights, talk about managing our diaries as curates, and the risk management that is ongoing in covid-times.

As Katy prepares to finish her time at theological college, and Sophie settles into her second year of curacy, they chat over what it means to be a leader in this time, and the need for contemplation.
