This is a somewhat quick (20 minute) podcast. I wrote and recorded this on a topic that really caught my attention while I was visiting patients - HPV and its Vaccine. It sounds simple at first, but there are so many inter-related parts that make this a fascinating web of biology. I decided to research and find out why we get the HPV shot. Since HPV may cause Cervical Cancer, I also discussed pap smears and the anatomy of the cervix. Pap Smears play a huge role in finding abnormal cells which may be a sign of cervical cancer.
