With around 150 podcast episodes under our belt with Doctor Who we have decided to branch out and talk about other series both old and new including The Umbrella Academy and Marvel's WandaVision.

The Pirate Planet - Originally aired in 1978 - The Doctor and Romana travel to a planet ruled by the Captain and must deal with his plans to attack and steal valuables from various planets. The Ribos Operation originally aired in 1978 and features Tom Baker as the Doctor and introducing Romana - played by Mary Tamm. The Doctor is given the task to find all 6 segments of the Key to Time. June 10, 2026 - The BBC made an announcement that the Doctor Who Christmas Special had been cancelled, Russell TV Davies and the entire Bad Wolf production company was no longer involved in creating the show. The BBC would put the show out for creative tender to see who would be responsible for producing the series next. We discuss why this happened and what this might mean for the future of the series. We talk about how this is similar to the 1989 production of the series ending for the classic series. Podcast Note - We will continue to review both classic and modern Who as usual. Asylum of the Daleks originally aired on September 1, 2012 and featured the Doctor, Amy and Rory up against the Daleks. Creepy episode. We talk about how the daleks were depicted and discuss our original reactions to when Jenna Coleman made her surprise debut in this episode originally.
Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead originally aired on May 31 and June 7 2008 and was written by Steven Moffat. Creepy walking skeletons, deadly shadows and a woman who knows the Doctor very well all lead to this incredible two parter. Does it hold up? Is it as good as Moffat's other classics. Now, not only can you watch older shows whenever but new shows are being released in batches, giving you the freedom of watching all of them in a single day even.
But is this a good thing? Why does Disney+ still release weekly as contrast to Netflix who releases all at once? Is there a better way to experience a TV show? We discuss all of this and more.
Also we talk a little bit about Christopher Eccleston, the next Doctor and some other bits of news.

Welcome to our 200th episode of our podcast! We have had an amazing time and thanks to all who have listened in. In this episode we discuss episode 5 of Loki.
There is a quick introduction and announcement explaining a few changes that will be implemented starting now. We are going back to one podcast episode a week. So next week will be Loki Episode 6 and the following week after that would continue with our reviews of The Watch.
We have also decided not to review Marvel's What If series. Our new once a week format will include other past Doctor Who episodes as well as new episodes of that show. The rest we will play by ear. We will still have other Marvel series, The Umbrella Academy and The Nevers once those series return.

Episode 6 - True. Yes - this is The Nevers. We see the series biggest reveal and wonder about what we might see for the second half of the season. Such a great show with excellent writing. Enjoy our review.
The End of Something - The Commission send a few people to stop the Umbrella Academy in a spectacular finale of season 2. With the usual WTH moments at the end, we discussed how it was all possible and what could be happening in Season 3 which is happening but might not be out until 2022.
Beware, we venture into spoiler territory with a quick trip onto the internet concerning casting for next season.

The Nevers - Episode 1 - Pilot - At the turn of the century something strange is going on in London and Amalia True and Penance Adair work together on rescuing and protecting the Touched, a group of people who have just recently developed powers. Fighting against an oppressive government and a crazed woman called Maladie, True and Adair use their powers to protect the innocent and discover why these power exist.
We review the first episode and enjoyed it quite a bit. Going through the episode we discuss the various actors and actresses as well as the action and well written dialog. Controversy surrounds this show as creator Joss Whedon was involved (but not any longer). We feel that so many people were involved in this series that it would be unfair to boycott the series because of one man's actions. The show is worth checking out. Thanks for listening.

Marvel's WandaVision Episode 4 - We Interrupt This Program takes a break from inside the TV world and out with Monica Rambeau. Expelled out of the TV world we learn of Monica's return from "The Blip" and eventual entrance into Westview. We also see some Marvel favorites show up and investigate the happenings of Westview.

Now In Color - Episode 3 of Marvel's WandaVision kicks it up a notch when a stork visits the household and one neighbor is not who they claim. The ending was revealing that is for sure.
We examine this episode and talk about some of the theories on what is going on. We also compare this to some of the series we watch as kids including The Brady Bunch.

We are kicking off 2021 with some new TV series to review and our next one is The Umbrella Academy. The series debut was in 2019 on Netflix and has already reached the end of it's second season and has been renewed.
Two of us watched the series for the first time and all three enjoyed the pace, the visuals, the characters and the music. A deeper look into each episode will be posted on Wednesdays until we catch up with what is available.

Welcome to our 150th Episode. Starting now we have made a couple of changes. Our new title, 2 Guys, A Girl, and A Podcast covers the new content we will be exploring. Wanting to branch off and do other shows both old and new, we have decided to not only post twice a week but to cover other series of interest.
We are starting off with Marvel's new WandaVision TV series on Disney+ and will continue to review future Marvel series. Also we will be looking at The Umbrella Academy. Our Marvel reviews will be posted on the weekend and The Umbrella Academy, on Wednesdays.

The Pandorica Opens and The Big Bang is a 2 part finale for the 5th season (2010) and it is really big. End of the Universe big. The Doctor is guarding the Pandorica but does he really know what it is for? Rory is plastic and kills Amy. River Song is inside the TARDIS that is blowing up and the Doctor isn't doing so well.
This story has everything included a convoluted script that ignores many huge questions. If Rory no longer existed, why is he back? All the aliens really cooperated to trap the Doctor? Is it possible that the podcaster who normally is critical of New Who likes this one more than the others? Listen for yourself!!

Doctor Who - The Faceless Ones is featured in this episode of our Doctor Who review podcast series. The 6 part episode only has 2 existing parts and so they went ahead and animated the entire story, which was released earlier this year. Battling an alien race that can take on the form of people, the Doctor faces a challenge set at Gatwick Airport.

In 2019 a complete recreation of the missing episode "Mission to the Unknown" debuted on youtube. The production was handled by the University of Central Lancashire, complete with props and sets copying the original 1 part story that sadly no longer exists. Colin Baker's debut story had everything going for it. Concluding a high quality season which included such stories as Resurrection of the Daleks and The Caves of Androzani, The Twin Dilemma certainly could do no wrong but did. Heralded by many, including a couple of us, as one of the worst Doctor Who episodes of all time, the story has little to praise and so this might be a short episode. With the start of the 24th season of Doctor Who we were introduced to the 7th Doctor, Sylvester McCoy. His debut would include his trusty but sometimes screaming companion Mel. They would be going up against the dreaded Rani. This episode has always been seen as a good example of a bad Doctor Who story but at least one of us really thought there were some good points to it.
