Artist Shara Bio

Shara's love for music she discovered in the church. Her father started to call her to sing during praise and worship at the age of 10 years old. Singing in the church every Sunday, she learned the effect of having a message in your music. The church is an outlet to give praise, but it also was a stepping stone to learn how to create melodies, and be exposed to techniques of music theory.

In the house, her parents would blast "dusties" every day. Listening to the sounds of The Staples Singers, GAP band, Bobby Caldwell, and many more Shara became intrigued with writing and using melodies to inflict emotions. Making people moved through sound became an obsession and overall lifestyle that helped her to develop songwriting and her current artistry today.

In 2019 Shara released two singles "Be Yourself" which is a dance/pop song with high energy and "Gravity" a pop song that reflects on the tribulations of life and not falling victim to life's obstacles. In March of 2020 Shara has released her debut EP called "Liquid Gold" which is available on Spotify, iTunes, Tidal and all other major streaming platforms.

Liquid Gold is a 5 song EP that takes you on a journey of acceptance, and then growth. R&B melodies, pop references, and heavy drum infused production were additives in the songwriting process for Liquid Gold's delivery. Shara is currently working on performing on larger platforms, circulating/promoting her current project Liquid Gold and upcoming music. Be sure to follow her on social media to stay up to date on new music to be released in 2020.
