Continuing Bass Agenda’s mission to highlight the gems hidden away in the underground enclaves of Electro and Techno the label releases its 4th vinyl. Russian Dmitry Distant and Ukrainian Lectromagnetique take a side of the red marbled vinyl disc each; both artists that have made more than a blip on Dave Clarke’s radar over the last couple of years.
Since his debut, also on Bass Agenda, Lectromagnetique has had the support of the Baron both on and off his White Noise Radio show and appeared on the ‘White Noise 500’ compilation released in 2015. Dmitry Distant’s first release on Bass Agenda also got a vote of confidence when his track ‘Forme De La Nuit’ made it into Clarke’s “Best of Electro 2014” show.
Both artists have a penchant for the darker, more sinister side of electronic music and through channelling that dark energy take familiar track structures and twist them into something individual.
Dmitry Distant’s side of the record sees a journey through abstract soundscapes, hefty dark atmospheric Techno and Electro, rounded off nicely by a dark funk injected remix from Sweden’s Obergman. All made live with machines, Dmitry’s tracks are the authentic type of electronic music the popular scene would have you forget. No surprise then that his live schedule is taking him across Europe including a gig alongside the mighty Rude66 and Luke Eargoggle in Berlin.
Lectromagnetique takes you on a ride through some edgy, acidic and melancholic broken techno experiences. Whilst many seek to portray that cold, sci-fi, and industrial vibe in their music, few get to draw on the experiences of living in the Pripyat region on Chernobyl’s doorstep. As you listen you can feel and visualise places you would otherwise never dare tread or let your mind wander to.
This is a record for those who don’t accept the norm and want to challenge and excite their audience; all with the Bass Agenda seal of quality.

Prolific Tokyo based French artist Fleck E.S.C makes his second appearance on Bass Agenda Recordings (the first being his remix for The Bokanovsky Process in 2013).
Fleck E.SC has made appearances on numerous labels with each release showing some development in his sound; always positive and always keeping his fans hungry for what he might do next; fortunately he is not one to rest long, seemingly flooded with ideas.
Where others may choose big, polished and fat modular sounds he has preference for low-fi digital sounds, peppering his unmistakable machine grooves. This brings about the perfect audio dilemma between almost retro computer sounds and what is undeniably an overall sound and vibe that is some of the genre's finest modern works. The result is an equal nod of respect to the past and the genre's founders, whilst feeling good about pushing things forward.

Bass Agenda is proud to present the debut vinyl release by Alavux, his third outing on the label and the culmination of many years of ballsy production, experimentation and the perfecting of a sound no one else can touch.
Many electronic producers make music that sounds like the future. Alavux is making the future and has carved himself a millennium head start. Whilst many of his peers maintain a course along the Kraftwerk or Drexciyan trajectory Alavux is committed to creating his own path; still drawing on the inspiration these great pioneers gave to so many, but choosing to adopt their pioneering spirit and innovation rather than their sound and track structures.
Many a conversation has taken place about whether Alavux is a maker of techno or electro. His discography tells you that he can pull off both very well and Octagon shows you that both can be combined with explosive results. The sheer power and intensity of his grooves make each track a force to be reckoned with.
Remixing the bonus track 1984 is 'Warsaw Hoolz'; bringing giant basement beats and Polish/American machine funk to the already banging original.

“Dave Clarke presents A White Noise Retrospective” is
available on Friday July 31st, the day Clarke broadcasts
his 500th episode.
The compilation is Dave’s personal curation of music and artists he exposes every single week on radio. All proceeds of the 11 track compilation go to “No Guts No Glory”, a Dutch foundation that provides cancer patients with funds for treatment not covered by health insurance.
“The Public Stand approached me to do this compilation as
the label releases a lot of music that featured on my show,
they wanted to give an homage to White Noise and who
could turn down something so lovely? To cover all angles of
White Noise I suggested to have Bass Agenda Recordings to
provide the electro tracks that have been featured on White
Noise past years. The two labels kindly agreed and it was
very easy to choose the right tracks. Alex Slagter who does all
my design work suggested the charity and we all
wholeheartedly agreed.” Clarke explains.
The compilation consists of 11 tracks curated by The Baron of which the techno tracks are provided by The Public Stand and the electro tracks are provided by Bass Agenda Recordings, plus bonus tracks by Datrus and White Noise favorite Mazzula.
“Looking back it’s very rewarding to see White Noise caused
an ecosystem of labels and artists collaborating. Many
artists found a home and of course I spotted Mr. Jones who
got me back in the studio again after sending me new
material every week. I can do this easily for another 500
shows.”

July 31st and only costs 5 Euros (500 euro cents), all
proceeds go to the No Guts No Glory Foundation.

TFHATS and his earlier productions have been receiving regular support from Dave Clarke on his Whitenoise radio show for sometime now. Running parallel to that support TFHATS has been working hard on this EP and with a degree of attention to detail that only a real craftsman can manage.
This Dutch producer appreciates the power of punchy energetic beats and the impact soaring melodies can have, more than that though, he knows how to put them together to make the most potent of cocktails.
On remix duty label mate Slaves of Sinus delivers an incredible high BPM acid assault version of 'I Can't Breathe' whilst Bass Agenda favourite Miotek delivers a blissful 909 dub version of 'Culture Friction'. This is serious, well composed and hard hitting modern electro at its best. Enjoy!

Greek artist, DJ and label owner (Remote Influence) ITPDWIP provides the eleventh edition of the Bass Agenda Presents series.
ITPDWIP (Instant Teleportation Process Detected While In Progress) is a project dedicated to the authentic Electro sound with a retro slant; paying homage to the sounds that have formed the foundation of great sci-fi flavoured, dark Electro from the 70s to date.
The four original tracks are live takes, raw, loud, immersive and as such they are electro in its purest form. Like a good Whiskey this is potent, full of flavour, sometimes sharp, sometimes smooth and built on years of fine heritage and a honed process. And, on remix duty, Drum Machinee, a member of the Anopolis collective (Lower Parts) also based in Thessaloniki in Greece. He brings a atmosphere drenched take on 'Eto Ya'.

DATENTRAEGER, meaning 'data carrier', is the side project of Marcus Mumm, the man behind highly acclaimed electro project DAS MUSTER.
Whilst this release continues his love affair with dark electronics and the voice of the machine it also allows him to explore those dark corners having an established 'brand' like DAS MUSTER can hold an artist back from visiting. As well as dark electro pieces such as 'Neonage' and the dark mechanial vox of 'Ready To Rule' there is the incredible beatless soundscape of 'Supermakro' and the upbeat and heavy 'Unity'.

Following on from his sought after sold out album 'Afterlife' Franck Kartell returns for his fourth outing on Bass Agenda Recordings.
The album is a homage to the 1962 Chris Marker short film "La Jetee" or "The Jetty". The film tells the story of a post-nuclear war experiment in time travel and was the inspiration for the 1995 film "12 Monkeys."
The music captures brilliantly the emotions and atmosphere of the 1962 science fiction feature and shows that electronic music composition deserves a place next to more widely accepted forms of expression.
Released only on vinyl to ensure the complete works are heard together, the eight tracks, like the still photos used to construct the original film, depict individual scenes and evoke certain images in the mind. Yet it is the effect of these scenes when experienced in sequence that unlocks the deeper journey and true craftsmanship of Kartell.

When kindred souls meet across generations, the result of such cultural crossbreeding is often interesting, sometimes good and, if they really connect on different levels, mesmerizing.
As is the case for NEON ELECTRONICS/ne, the collaboration between Dirk Da Davo - he from THE NEON JUDGEMENT fame - and Glenn Keteleer a- relentless dark techno producer with to albums and a string of EP's under his belt.
There is common ground, of course: both already co produced tracks with the likes of THE HACKER, DAVID CARRETTA and MILLIMETRIC, and made applauded appearences on DAVE CLARKE's 'White Noise Radio' playlists.
But perhaps even more significant: both share a dystopian view on present and future, where it's open season for governments and multinational corporations that seem to have recieved a license to kill the privacy and freedom of the individual, and a mutual sonic understanding that includes pounding beats bonanzas next to brooding krautrock, marshy soundscapes and twisted dub.
So yes, it's dark. And loud. But it's a darkness with a loudly beating heart. Pretty? No. Hauntingly beautiful? Absolutely.

Lectromagnetique’s music is dangerous.
It lures you in with the appeal of its massive kick drums, brooding bass, and solid robotic structures; almost making you think it is familiar and safe territory….
Then he then takes this sense of familiarity and tears it up by injecting new sounds and ideas, engineered to bring on a sense of unease, fear and a morbid curiosity to see what may happen next.
Like any good horror movie or suspense experience Alienation builds a world around you and then challenges your perceptions of it, somehow striking that precarious balance between wanting to stop or turn back with an overwhelming desire to satisfy your curiosity as to what may happen if you carry on round the next corner.
Unlike many artists in this genre who rely on Sci-fi film or literature for inspiration Lectromagnetique’s soundscapes are built on first-hand experience of living in the Chernobyl area.
His music relays the stories and sights of this unique region and as such reaches the depths of the mind that so many try to reach but fail.
You can’t achieve this level of scale, desolation and depth without living it.

W1b0 is no exception in this, his visit to Detroit fueled his creative fire. This release is the smoke this fire created....dance floor friendly but still with depth, fast but still graceful and infectious strong grooves await in 'Sleek' and 'Spatial Perception' whilst 'Track For My Father' speaks for itself; the audio product of another significant event in w1b0's life.

Russia based Dmitry Distant is a man who appreciates the darker things in life; gothic architecture, art and importantly sound.
With a growing discography, regular live gigs and his own label becoming active soon he is a busy artist, committed to his craft. This EP, part 9 in the Bass Agenda Presents series, brings together his appreciation of the power of darkness in three new tracks of deep, driving and powerful electro; blending twisted loops and synths with ominous bass lines and drums.
This isn’t just a raw outpouring of dark energy though, there is real consideration and channelled creativity in here too.
The EP is rounded off with a powerful remix of ‘Luxure’ from acclaimed French electro talent Commuter who brings his own polished dramatic style to the already gripping track.
Closer Than Tears = raw dark energy, filtered and channelled into a sonic experience.

In 2013 a panel at ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) chaired by Dave Clarke was given the unenviable task of choosing a winning track submitted by new artists brave enough to stomach their art being scrutinised by the trained ears of Mr Clarke, Todd Terry, Chris Liebing and Sandrien. The winner of that ‘Demolition Panel’ was Slaves of Sinus with an early version of Opposite of The Past. This EP is the result of the fire that experience put in his belly.
Quality dark, acidic Electro with an underlying dirty groove awaits your ears here in two new tracks plus the painstakingly perfected Opposite of The Past. To complete the experience Ukrainian audio scientist and label mate Lectromagnetique weighs in with his remix of the title track; somehow magnifying all the afore mentioned sonic elements into a track that is a monster in its own right.

Continuing Bass Agenda Recording’s love affair with French electro (having previously released works by dynArec and Franck Kartell) Bass Agenda Presents 6 highlights the talent of Rennes based Commuter.
Inspired by Kraftwerk's album Radio Activity he quickly digested all electronic music he could find, ranging from acid house, EBM, Synthpop, Electro, new beat, early techno and with a particular passion for the mighty Depeche Mode.
His first 12" ‘Electrostate of Mind’ was released in 2007 and remixed by The Hacker. Since then his music has been released on numerous Techno labels including Afu Ltd and Citizen. In 2013 he was the runner up of the Miss Kittin Beatport contest with his remix of Maneki Neko.
In 2014 he returns to his roots with an exceptional electro 4 tracker that oozes that authentic electro feel so many try to achieve yet fall short of.

a - How were you first introduced to electronic music?
There’s twice opportunity. The first opportunity was at 11 or 12 years
old, older friends of mine got a Yamaha’s synthesizer. I had never
seen and touched real synthesizer, So I was so excited. After that, I
like music made with synthesizers. The second is around 18 year old. I
met “Techno” music. Aphex Twin, Black Dog, Hardfloor, UR, etc.

good electro to the world, not business. So I want to release electro
sounds constantly when I want, whose I like, as my lifework.
About my activities, I have to make more tracks. I’m slow maker… And I
want to play my first(!) live set by the end of this year.

Good things come to those who wait. Following the resounding success of his ‘Stella Hangover’ track and excellent collaborative work with DefBass on ‘Bass Agenda Vol 1: The Fight Against The Mundane’, Jay Mass is back.
Each of the seven tracks on ‘Second Law’ offer something individual, yet all are united by Jay’s love of techno and sound experimentation as an art form. Jay Mass’s music holds its own with a level of character that avoids his being just another clone in the techno genre. The track ‘Mass’ pounds and grinds with its stomping beat and bass line as percussion builds and epic strings lift the listener from the dance floor and to the heights of a true sonic experience, whilst beatless ‘Motion’ sees furious throbbing synths build to a menacing crescendo. The suspenseful intro to ‘Signal’ followed by the assault that ensues warns the listener to expect the unexpected.
On remix duty, Submorph and DefBass; two techno acts that have both caught the attention of discerning DJs such as Dave Clarke. Each bringing their own style to their respective remixes and both achieving truly powerful sonic attacks that the uninitiated listener may find frightening. This is what UK techno sounds like in 2014…

Lectromagnetique – independent synthetic electro project based somewhere in Ukraine, created in 2014 by one unknown producer. The primary objective of this project is a transmission of different emotions to end-user.
The first two tracks emerging from this project are featured on this EP and deliver the results of extensive experimentation with modern electronic instruments. Few artists challenge the sensibilities of Electro and Techno the way Alavux does. The Serbian artist has a passion for pushing the two genres forward and, rather than drawing a line between them, combines the best of each to create something truly distinctive. Rather than another Kraftwerk or Drexciya clone the Alavux sound is evolutionary; it’s where electro should go next if it is to remove its retro image and demonstrate it has relevance to the modern listener.
In many ways Alavux has been flexing his muscles on past releases, pushing against trends and getting in shape. This EP sees him achieve full fitness; being able to tackle tradition head on yet still retain structure, purpose and destination in his tracks. This is what he has been building up to; four tracks of mechanistic power for the more thoughtful dance floor, with tinges of Detroit techno, sci-fi, aggressive funk and beneath it all – bass line grooves to send you elsewhere, only to return sweaty, dazed and happier for it.

RXmode, real name Ronald Hustinx, was born in Kerkrade, the Netherlands, and is nowadays living in Arnhem.
His passion for electro and techno started in the 90's after hearing work from Laurent Garnier. From that moment artists like Garnier, Dave Clarke, Sven Väth, Joey Beltram, Johannes Heil, Surgeon, Oscar Mulero and many more became very important in the way Ronald developed his love for the music.

Mike Ash is a veteran of the authentic Electro genre. Producing underground electronic music since the early 90s in various guises and using a number of names he is known for uncompromising beats, bass lines and a penchant for science fiction vibes.
Importantly in this day and age of off the shelf production tools and quick fix laptop, tablet and phone production packages Mike Ash keeps it real using, learning and stretching the capabilities of true synthesizers and production gear. As a result he manages to do the one thing that never comes readymade and any artist worth their salt should surely strive for – an individual sound.
