Episode 17: In this episode, I talk about the recent proposal by the Nigerian government to increase Value Added Tax (VAT) from about 5% to 7.2% (eventually 7.5). I explain what VAT means and how it will affect the common man. I then go on to talk about some of the reasons supporters have given for increasing the VAT rate as well as how and why I disagree with the decision.
