Can you imagine decluttering a thousand things in just 30 days? I took on this challenge and documented my journey to inspire you to take control of your living space. Join me as I tackle areas of my home from overflowing bathrooms to sentimental items, sharing my successes and struggles in the process of letting go.
I started this challenge by focusing on the visible high traffic areas in my home. In just a few days, I managed to declutter over 300 items and quickly gained momentum. As I moved through the house, I organized and donated hundreds of items, creating a more functional and organized space. Listen in as I discuss the container concept, which helped me declutter my master bathroom and let go of 230 items.
By the end of the 30 days, I decluttered an impressive 1,221 items, achieving my goal and transforming my home. This journey wasn't without its challenges, as I had to make tough decisions and confront my attachment to certain items. You don't get what you wish for, you get what you ask for! Get your ASK in gear!
Here's my 7 big takeaways from today's episode:
- You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take so get your ask in gear because if you don’t ask, someone else will and you will regret it. I'd rather live with rejection than live with regret.
- Get out of your own way! Stop saying "NO" for you potential customers and team members. Share the product, service, opportunity with them and allow them to say yes or no.
- "NO" is not going to kill you. And "no" does it mean no forever. It could mean no not right now or no I don’t have enough information. Stop taking "NO" so personally.
- Get out of people’s wallets! Just because you think something is too expensive, does not mean somebody else will think it’s too expensive.
- Only share products that you use, love and believe in. When you share products that you use, love, believe in and they work, price will not matter.
- Only promote products that you believe in! Because if you don’t believe in the products, you won’t be able to sell them. You will also lose the trust of your online following, if you are promoting products that you don’t believe in.

If you want to be a social media influencer, you will eventually have haters. It's not a question of IT, it's WHEN. I used to really struggle with negative comments on social media but not anymore. Here's a few things that have helped me:
- You are going to get haters. Expect it. If you haven’t gotten haters yet and you are in the influencer space, you are putting yourself out there, you're showing up consistently and your followers are increasing, it’s just a matter of time. And when it happens, know this…you are on the right track!
- The only opinions that matter at the end of the day is what God thinks of you and what you think of yourself. Love yourself! When you truly love yourself, other peoples opinions carry less weight.
- Hurt people hurt people.
- The algorithm does not know the difference between a good or bad comment. At the end of the day, a comment is a comment and it will help your content perform better.

After thinking about what happened and how I got derailed from achieving my new years goals, I have identified the 10 common goal setting mistakes I made. I've turned those mistakes into 10 tips to help myself and hopefully to help you achieve your goals!
10 GOAL SETTING TIPS:
- Write your goals down
- Make your goals visible
- Define your WHY
- Remove temptation
- Set yourself up for success the night before
- Use the 5 second rule
- Accomplish your goal first thing in the morning
- Use habit stacking
- Track your progress
- Have an accountability partner
The first time around, I didn't do those 10 things and ultimately I believe that's why I failed. I will be doing those 10 things this time and I am confident I will be able to create new habits and achieve my goals. I hope this episode inspires you to take massive action and achieve your goals too!

Welcome to Quick Tip Tuesday! In this episode I share with you one of my BIGGEST Pet Peeves. This is something I hear every single day. I hear it on Instagram. I hear it on YouTube. I hear it on Facebook. Influencers do it. Online Educators do it. Business Owners do it. Podcasters do it. Content Creators do it.
I hate it when people address their online audience by saying, "Hey Y'all! Hey Everyone! Hey Guys! Hey Friends!" Stop saying this to your online audience. Yes, many people will consume your content but addressing people in this plural way is wrong. Remember, your follower, your listener, your viewer, is more than likely consuming your content by themselves on their cell phone.
Instead, try saying "You." When you say, "You" your follower, listener, viewer will feel like you are talking directly to them. They will feel more connected to you. It feels more personal.

I think one of the scariest things about the Corona Virus is the unknown, we have no idea how long this going to last. Schools have been shut down. So many people have been sent home, to work remotely. - Have work hours and share those hours with your co-workers aka you family.

I remember the exact moment, I decided I was going to build an email list. It was September 20th 2019, I was trying to log into my Instagram Account. "Your Account Has Been Compromised" popped up on the screen instead. My account had gotten hacked.
I realized in that moment, 5 years into my business, 175,000+ Followers on my social media accounts, I realized I could lose it all in an instant. I had built my business on borrowed ground. I don't own Facebook. I don't own Instagram. I don't own any of the social media account I had worked so hard to build my business on. It could be taken away over night. I NEEDED to build an Email List, an Email List that I would own. I knew exactly who could teach me how to do it, my mentor and List Builder Expert, Amy Porterfield.

In this Episode I share how I TRIPLED my Facebook following in 1 Year organically without ads. That's right! I went from 20,000 Followers to almost 70,000 Followers on my business page. https://www.facebook.com/jennypetersonstyle/ Trust me, if I can do this, you can do this! After building my entire business on my personal Facebook wall, I take you through the journey how I started over from 0 and built an even bigger following on my Business Page. Here are the 4 reasons I LOVE Facebook Business Pages:
- The ability to schedule posts! Can you say game changer?! At the time I am writing this, I am scheduling 1 month of content in advance on two separate business pages. That's right! Gone are the days of me working in real time and on the fly. Now I schedule the majority of my posts in advance.
- The ability to personally invite anyone who likes or reacts to a post to LIKE your Business Page. Everyone who likes/reacts gets a notification from me to LIKE my business page. No, not everyone will like the page, but I am growing steadily by doing this.
- Insights & Analytics! This is something you can NOT get from a personal profile page. There is so much helpful information! From who your ideal customer is to when is your online audience online.
- The ability to boost to reach a larger audience. As I mentioned in this episode this is something new I'm diving into. I lost the ability to boost over 3 years ago but recently got it back. Having to build a business page without the ability to advertise forced me to learn how to grow organically.
I believe every business owner, every influencer and every entrepreneur should and would benefit from having a Facebook Business Page. The majority of my income, comes from my Facebook Business page. If I had to do it all over again, I wish I had started my business on a Business Page from the very beginning instead of my Personal Facebook Wall.
