Amberlee Rich is a blogger, online educator, and the host of The Rich Living on Less Podcast. She dives deep into living a purposeful life and living out God's calling.

It's time to say goodbye to survival mode and start living an abundant life. Get ready to be encouraged and empowered in your motherhood.
We live in a world that is fighting for our kid's attention.
There's T.V., video games, cell phones, social media, and the list goes on that are filling many of our children's lives.
We also live in a world full of busyness where our kids have one activity after another, leaving little time for anything else, let alone reading.
Reading is powerful. A story opens a new world for our children. It teaches our kids new perspectives.
I love this quote by Sarah Mackenzie, “We read with our children because it gives both them and us an education of the heart and mind. Of intellect and empathy. We read together and learn because stories teach us how to love.”
Reading shouldn't be an afterthought. It's something we need to prioritize to make it happen. But how?
In today's show, I share 9 ways to help your kids love reading. If you want your kids to fall in love with reading and make reading part of your everyday lives, this episode is for you.
Let's raise a generation of readers who will lead our world well!

This year, one of the habits I’m trying to improve upon and track is my reading.
I love reading. It is one of my favorite pastimes. It fills me up more than most activities. I can’t think of a day when I don’t read. It’s who I am.
I know my love of reading is not held by a lot of people. Many people don’t read a book unless they have to for school.
Today I’m going to share some ways that have helped me read on a regular basis and I hope this will give you some ideas on how to make reading part of your everyday life.

Today we’re going to talk about how to keep the habits long term and how to make them rewarding.
If you want to stick with a habit long term, it must be satisfying, otherwise you will quit and stop doing it.
When we were working on getting out of debt, we created many new habits to help us reach our goal.
We started eating at home almost all the time, and we hardly ate out. We cut down on our food waste, so we spent less on groceries. We went shopping less, we tried not to buy anything that wasn’t essential.
We were able to do this because every month we would make an extra principle payment on our debt with everything extra we saved each month.
We were visually tracking our debt payoff and seeing that momentum was exciting and satisfying. And we had accountability through the Debt Dump Challenge to keep us on track.
Today's episode is all about how to put your new habits into practice and how to stick with them.

I'm always trying to find ways to help me become a better mom, wife, teacher, friend, and follower of Jesus.
I've realized that daily habits can push me closer towards the person I want to become, and habit-stacking is one of the easiest ways to get there.
If you want to create new habits that you will stick to, habit-stacking is a great way to make that habit part of your routine.
Habit-stacking is when you take a habit you already have and tie it to the new habits you want to have.
In today's episode of the Rich Living on Less Podcast, I share tons of examples on how to put habit-stacking into practice.
This episode will make new habits a lot easier and doable.

We all have our own set of financial standards, the things that we are ok and not ok with when it comes to money.
It's our bottom line.
The boundaries we create in our finances become our financial standards.
Think about it in terms of dating. We all had or have a certain set of standards that we want in another person. Those standards guide or guided your decisions on who you were ok with dating or not.
Financial standards work similarly. Our standards guide our day-to-day purchasing decisions without even thinking about it.
Many times we don’t even realize that we have financial standards. They are just ingrained inside us.
The key is to notice what financial standards you need to keep and what you need to change, and that's what this episode is all about.
If you want to see real, lasting change in your finances, you have to have a set of financial standards that serve you.

Christmas is a time that can feel like we are bleeding money.
Maybe we're traveling more, food costs for all the special events add up, and don’t forget: Gifts, gifts, and more gifts!
According to holiday shopping statistics, per household, Americans predict to spend around $1,387 during this winter’s holiday sales.
Plus, more than a quarter of Americans expect to go into debt this holiday season, according to a recent Credit Karma survey.
Yikes!!!
Is this really what Christmas should be like?!
In today's show, I'll show you five ways to save this Christmas so you won't be a statistic.
It's time to not go in debt this Christmas. Get ready to spend the amount that you can afford (and budget for) this holiday season.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Christmas will be here in no time.
This time of year is meant to be full of family, memory making, remembering to be thankful for what we have, and Jesus.
But all too often we get sucked into a season of go, go. We have one event after the other. Hurry becomes the norm.
We feel like were running a marathon trying to make the holidays amazing for our kids, buying presents, hosting and going to family functions.
I think moms in particular carry the burden of the holidays. We want our kids to absolutely love the holidays.
We normally buy the presents, wrap them, make all the fancy meals, and coordinate the schedule. A lot can fall onto us.
But what if we didn’t have to live and breathe business this season.
What if we actually experienced peace? Imagine that?!

Do you notice that you're kind to everyone else except yourself? I know I do and I think most people struggle with self-doubt and negative self-talk. And that's why I wanted to talk about this challenging subject.
The truth is, what we say to ourselves (even if it is just in our heads) matters. That's why we have to take a deeper look into how we see ourselves.
We have to discover our true identity if we want to live an authentic life that God calls us to.
It's time to debunk the lies we've been told and the lies we tell ourselves.
That's why I created a FREE download to help walk you through what I personally did to help me start seeing myself through God's eyes.

We are living in our dream house. It doesn’t look like a dream home you would see on HGTV and we are ok with that. We didn’t need a big home or a large yard. Our downsizing, upgraded our lives.

Most people look like they’re rich, but in reality, they are drowning in debt.
There is so much pressure in our society to look the part- to wear trendy clothes, drive a nice car, live in a well-decorated home, and vacation on the beach.
With social media, we can see the highlight-reels of everyone’s lives.
But if we look at the statistics, the majority of American’s are financially stressed out. That Hawaii vacation your friend from high school posted on Instagram was actually put on a credit card along with most of what they ‘own’.
We’ve got to stop comparing ourselves with others.
In today’s episode, Amberlee Rich dives deep into living a different way. She challenges her listeners to live within their means and wait until they can afford it. The truth is, acting rich WILL catch up to you.
It’s time to start being real, take off the facade, and act our wage as Dave Ramsey likes to say.
