Welcome to PHHS Intercast, Piedmont Hills Interact’s very own podcast, where we give you our takes on Interact, service, and community.
Interact stands for INTERnational ACTion. We are a community service club sponsored by Rotary, a humanitarian organization. We are student-led and endeavor to not only impact the world locally and globally but also empower the youth through leadership.
It has definitely been a long year, but the class of 2021 is finally done and ready to move onto bigger things! While it doesn’t seem like it now, the past few months have definitely turned our lives upside down as the pandemic hit and changed everything we knew. Now, however, it seems that this period of trials and tribulations may be over for good. Not only that, but the spirit that Interact is known for is back and better than ever before! In this final episode, we will be joined by PHHS Interact’s senior officers for this school year, and they have definitely learned a lot from their four years at Piedmont Hills! Even if graduation seems so far away that you can’t possibly imagine it yourself, even if you’re not sure how to build your own future, even if you’re just scrolling past, come drop in and listen to some advice! Our seniors will be giving you the inside scoop on Interact, college, and everything in between. Disclaimer: we get cheesy this episode, but it was about time for waterworks anyway 😎

2020 was one heck of a ride. With the pandemic, things haven’t been easy, but we’ve all shown that we’ve grown from it. Now that 2021 is starting, we wanted to recap a few highlights from the previous year and share some of our hopes and dreams for this one! Do you have any resolutions for the upcoming year? Well, maybe we can work towards our goals together! Whatever our plans are, however, one thing is clear. The waters are still looking a little murky, but we can hopefully set sail for a better future! We hope you can buckle up…and join us on this ride.

Feeding the Future. Combating with Care. How will Interact District 5170 continue to serve our communities and global communities as we set sail into an unprecedented year?
In this episode, we have a few project coordinators with us to talk about Fall Leadership Conference (FLC) that happened earlier this month and about projects, community and international! District 5170 successfully raised service hours and fundings for Build for Tomorrow despite the year ending short. Listen in to today's episode to learn how our district adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic and connected with the World Food Programme USA and United Way Bay Area to bring forward Feeding the Future and Combating with Care.

Interact, what’s that?! Key Club, how do you feel?! Mini Club Day is fast approaching, and Piedmont Hills’ Pirates may be overwhelmed by the number of clubs we have on campus. Today, we are joined by the officers of both Key Club and Interact to tell us more about their clubs. Both are service clubs, but what aspects make them each unique?
