Dr Selena Fisk is a data storyteller who is passionate about helping others sort through the numbers to tell the real stories and lead positive change. Dr Fisk fiercely advocates for a world in which we are all data-informed, not data-driven; though she realises that this isn’t a skill set we all have or are confident in.
As a data coach and storyteller, Selena is as enthusiastic about building data storytelling skills in others as she is about building her own understanding of the evolving ways data can support individuals, organisations and communities to flourish and thrive. For Dr Fisk, using data in a way that benefits others is the only way to use it. She believes that nothing will accelerate the impact we can have as humans like being able to see trends in the numbers and using the information alongside our understanding of context to inform our decisions.
Dr Fisk mentors executive, senior and middle leaders as well as employees and team members in data storytelling, aiming to positively impact the organisations in which they work. She has also authored and released 4 books on data storytelling and on The Simone Feiler Podcast discusses the content and experience creating her debut audiobook I'm Not a Numbers Person.

Zac and Jane Jones chat candidly on The Simone Feiler Podcast about their journey with their co-authored book Why the Fallen? How the real-life story came to be written and how, through extreme difficulties, including a prison sentence, it brought the mother and son closer together and on a quest to help other people.
Here's the blurb on the story:
This brutally honest true story of an everyday Aussie kid and his mother is a wake up call.
Co-authored by mother and son, this cautionary tale shares how and why an educated, intelligent teenager from a loving family with the world at his feet, ended up falling so badly he found himself in prison.
The honest, raw account of a young man's life spiraling so terribly out of control, the reality of the consequences, and the retrospect now in play, sheds a glaring light on how lives can be forever changed, or worst still lost, through binge-drinking, drug abuse and driving under the influence. Despite the sometimes-fractured relationship and the reality of the circumstances they found themselves in, this mother and son deliver a harrowing side by side account of how their lives went from top of the world to rock-bottom.
Why The Fallen? gives us belief that even when all appears lost, 'Hope Springs Eternal', relationships can be mended and lives can be changed for the better. Every parent should put this book in the hands of their teenager, before they get their licence, experiment with drugs or succumb to the culture of binge-drinking. Every young person should put this book in the hands of their parents, to share the emotional rollercoaster and often misguided beliefs facing young people of today.

Nick Barnsdall's new audiobook EntrepreNext covers the next steps to creating a successful business.
Are you ready to grow your business or give up?
So, you have started your business, congratulations! But now the excitement is over, the bills are stacking up and the late night are relentless. You're not getting any new clients and as much as you want to put your prices up, you're afraid that it might deter people from working with you.

You're wondering if it's all worth it. What seemed like the freedom of having your business is not what it seems to be, perhaps you should just go back to a job.
The good news is that almost every entrepreneur has had this moment after the start-up honeymoon has worn off.

Jon and Laura Summers learned through experience that infertility affects all areas of life.
Just like women, men can experience a fertility diagnosis. And just like women, that diagnosis brings it uncertainty, fear, guilt and all sorts of emotional turbulence. Many men feel negative emotions as they watch their partners suffer, both with the burden of fertility treatment and also the pain that they may feel for their missing baby.
After surviving testicular cancer, Jon and his partner Laura went through 15 IVF cycles, 2 sperm retrieval surgeries and thousands of injections. They discovered that infertility is a marathon that requires strength and resilience.
Jon’s pragmatic yet jovial approach to the challenge of infertility helps to ease a bit of the burden, especially for men.
They share stories and information for people who are experiencing infertility through videos and social media and their book, ‘The Man’s Guide to Infertility’ helps people navigate this very challenging time in their lives.
Jon and Laura Summers chat on The Simone Feiler Podcast about their journey through infertility, how they decided to write their book and how being considerate to each other's needs was paramount to surviving both journeys.

Shaun O’Gorman knows what it’s like to suffer from PTSD, depression and to battle with suicide. He served a 13-year career as a Police Officer including 9 years as a Police K9 handler. The violence, death, and depravity he saw people perpetrate against each other had a lasting effect on him. It culminated with him lying in bed, with a Glock pistol in hand, trying to find a reason not to end his life. This ended the Police career he had dreamed of since he was a child. For a man coming from a Police family where his father served for 42 years this was devastating. The loss of identity was one of the hardest parts to deal with.
His purpose in life now is to help people and make a difference. Through his business “The Strong Life Project” Shaun teaches people how to prepare for the difficulties they will experience in their life and his is passion is teaching people to be the best version of themselves possible.
Shaun O'Gorman opens up on The Simone Feiler Podcast, going in depth about his Dark Companion, suicide, and how he now has it under control and can give you strategies to do the same.

Chadia was a bright and beautiful child with a zest for life. The cyclamen, native to her homeland and reminiscent of her childhood, became a metaphor for her life.
Once civil war erupted in her home of Beirut, no one was left unscathed by what followed. Neighbours against neighbours, friends against their brothers; families torn, mothers weeping. With mercenaries taking aim on her family, Chadia took action. Her deep-rooted compassion would not see her being hard to anyone, but she had to do something.
Eventually, fleeing to the United States, Chadia’s hardships were not over. The battle was no longer physical but emotional. Struggling to fit in and embrace the new season, an abusive marriage withered her joy in the South. Clinging to hope, it was time for her to flee again.
Australia, her sanctuary…

I’ve had the pleasure of recording Adam Bowcutts audiobook; ‘Confide: The New Psychology of Confidence.’ It's about saving 500,000 lives from suicide. In this Podcast Adam and I talk about his book, recording his audiobook, the Awakening and why you should publish your book and share your story.
Adam’s been to hell and back. He was on the precipice of taking his life. He was standing on a red bucket with a noose around his neck and he didn’t do it because he was afraid that if it didn’t work, if it went wrong and he was maimed, he wouldn’t have the opportunity to finally do it. That’s what stopped him, the fear that he wouldn’t be able to finish the job.
It was this moment that changed his whole life. He thought: well if not this then WHAT??
It was from here that he changed his thinking. This is critical, because that is what he did. He changed his thinking.
And you can too.
Depression is so prevalent. Adam’s suffered from it, I’ve suffered from it and we’re not alone. You’ve heard the catchline, if you or anyone you know is suffering, call lifeline.
It’s thoughts; your thoughts.
Adam came back from standing with the noose, to writing a book about how to think better and I highly recommend you read or listen to his book to change the way you think and discover the confidence to never be this low.
Thank you for your bravery Adam, you’re a saint!
