Welcome Back Listeners!

I am so excited to share with you the story of a girl who had a talent that fed a vision that lead to an amazing business.

Jessica Peresta, aka The Domestic Musician, is a former Elementary Music Teacher who has taken that passion for music and making it accessible for other teachers and potential music students everywhere... all while juggling being a mom, wife and amazing friend.

On a personal side, she is an open book as we discuss her family's journey to have her son diagnosed  on the autism spectrum and what it means to truly be an advocate for your own child.

to find out more about Jessica's programs, check her out at: The Domestic Musician

We are in an unprecedented time in our world.

We are being told NOT to do so many different things that it is causing such fear and anxiety in people and for many, more time than usual on our hands.

That's why I started the "30 Days of Change" movement on social media.

We have the choice to spend the next 30 days being held captive to fear and/or waste our "extra" time or we can spend the next 30 days taking baby steps to being a better person at the end.

Starting, April 1st, I've been posting a self-reflection on all of my social media channels to challenge each of us to make small changes that can lead to us being better physically, mentally, emotionally,  and spiritually.

In today's episode, I go over days 1-7 with you and explain ways that we can each institute those changes over the next 30 days.

I hope you enjoy.

XOXO,

KERI

Hey Listeners!

I recorded this a couple of weeks ago on my way home from work (hence the wanky audio!) I have sat on it for a couple of weeks because things just seemed so fresh and uncertain. But I wanted to share it today because I think we have reached a point where we could all use a little hope.

I hope you enjoy my ramblings today.

XOXO,

Keri

Failure.

We all do it. It happens to the best of us. With the best laid plans.

So what happens when failure could have been averted and how do you deal with the aftermath.

Today, I want to share with you a recent (in my mind) HUGE failure I had and how it made me realize just how far I have come in my mental health journey. I hope it inspires you to look at your so-called failures differently.

I have been looking forward to this interview FOREVER!

Today I am interviewing author and speaker, Jennifer Renee Watson. She is the author of "Freedom- The Gutsy Pursuit of Breakthrough and the Life Beyond It." Her book is an open and honest look at what it is like to be broken  and how it takes guts to move forward through that.

My favorite quote from her book is "It's OK to not be OK...for a season." Jennifer, through her amazing storytelling and sassy humor, gives us permission to acknowledge our brokeness, but then empowers us to move through it to a place of breakthrough and a fulfilling life.

I hope you will enjoy today's talk.

Your story has power.

Yes. You.

Your story has the power to change your life and the lives of others, but it will never exact any kind of change if you keep it to yourself.

Today, I want to talk to you about the power of your story and why it's so important to share it.

You can also follow Create this Life Podcast on Instagram for more motivation to create the best life possible.

What holds you captive? We all seem to have somethings that holds us back from being who we really want to be... from reaching the dreams and goals we have for ourselves.

For me, that was being a people pleaser. I was completely held captive by the idea that my self-worth came from what others thought of me. I was a chameleon...changing my stripes to fit the group I was with just so people would like and accept me.

Running changed that for me. In particular, running my first marathon did that for me.

Today, I want to share that story of my first marathon and how it freed me from the cage I was in and allowed me to find mental and emotional freedom.

I am so exited to be publishing the first full episode of Create This Life Podcast. As soon as I decided to do this, I knew one of the first people I wanted to talk to was Mandy Ozimek. She a local ultra runner who I have been online friends with for years. After DNFing (did not finish) her first attempt at a 100 mile race last year, she rallied the courage to try again only 6 weeks later. She also has a heart to help others with her health and nutrition business, 4U Health and Nutrition. I hope you will enjoy our little chat! You can find out more about 4U at www.4uhealthandnutrition.com
