On the last leg of the United States of America tour, New Zealand Broadcaster Stu Frith and Journalist Victoria Gaither are in San Francisco, CA visiting this beautiful city on the bay. The friendly people, food and sights are amazing. We took the Red and White Fleet cruise and saw amazing views from the bay, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Prison, and the best views of the city. This is a must cruise to take when in San Fran, CA especially if you are short on time. The best part of the cruise was having your own headset with earphones to enjoy the narration (tour guide) without competing with other guest on board the boat who might be talking loud. Most of our time was at 43 1/2 Fisherman's Wharf area and it was great local entertainment as well, we loved Allen Fredrick who performed non stop famous songs from San Francisco. We love this city!

New Zealand Broadcaster Stu Frith and Victoria Gaither spent the afternoon at the Naval Academy and toured Annapolis, MD. Its a beautiful town on the water, with colonial building that date back to the 1850's including colonial pubs. Its a seaman's town and certainly worth a visit when in the Washington, DC area. Its about 35 minutes outside of DC without traffic. The State House is the oldest and only operating state house in America. There are plenty of shops, eateries and fantastic views.

It was established in 1936 by executive order of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Patuxent Research Refuge is the only National Wildlife Refuge in the United States established to support wildlife research. With land surrounding the Patuxent and Little Patuxent Rivers between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland, the Refuge has grown from the original 2,670 acres (10.8 km2) to its present size of over 12,800 acres (52 km2) and encompasses land formerly managed by the Departments of Agriculture and Defense. Throughout decades of change, Patuxent's mission of conserving and protecting the nation's wildlife and habitat through research and wildlife management techniques has remained virtually unchanged. ICR Host, Katrina Murray, of Kiwi and Proud talks with MaKuini or New Zealand's Delta Queen....pronounced 'MaQueenie' about her life as a singer in London. MaKuini was introduced at a young age to the sounds of, Mahalia Jackson, Etta James, Sarah Vaughan, and Ella Fitzgerald. With her sister Heeni accompanying her on guitar, Mākuini entered Maori community and national festival competitions leading to a Maori Education Foundation Grant, which allowed her to study music in the city of Auckland. Mākuini became an established singer, dancer and actress both on stage and with appearances in television drama, radio, and light entertainment shows. Before travelling to England, where she is now based. Mākuini toured venues in, Fiji, Samoa, Cook Islands, Tahiti, Hawaii and Los Angeles. You can also hear her music in flight on Air New Zealand.
