We often say things we don't really mean. "That ice cream is to die for!" "LOL" "I do." It is accepted by the world around us...but is God OK with it when we say things to him that we don't really mean? How can we start meaning the things we say to God?
There are many things in life to be passionate about...but are they all passion-worthy? What's your passion...is it something more than naval fluff?
The first thing God wants every man and woman to become is a worshiper. But we live in the middle in a world at war...and there is something else God desires of us as well. You don't believe there is a war going on around you? Then listen to this.
ypj continues his series on becoming men and women of God by challenging us to take a personal look at how we treat fellow believers. Is it true that sometimes the reality is that we have to love those around us...but we don't necessarily have to like them? How do we respond to Christ asking us to "love each other deeply with all our hearts?" We are at in the middle of a battle...let's not let it be with each other!

Until we learn that lesson we will never be able to be men and women of God, but when we do...everything changes. God's view of women and our societies' are very different...and it's probably not what you expect. Take a look and see for yourself.
ypj concludes his discussion on what a solid spiritual foundation consists of by discussing the final two necessary elements: Sacrifice and Service.
Ultimately, everyone sins...everyone is a selfish, evil person without the grace of God. ypj teaches on what to do when we have sinned. Instead of trying to deny it or cover up our sin we need to Admit and Confess it, Repent (change our mind), Accept Forgiveness and then do what we can do to make it right.
It's time that we as Christians get fed up with crying for ourselves...we have all we need...purpose, hope and a future. Instead, we need to, like Christ, cry over those who don't have the assurance we have...who don't know their "right hand from their left."
Nickelback's song "If Today Was Your Last Day" is a popular song today with some powerful lyrics...but what if today wasn't your last day? What if you had 60 or so years left to live? Would you live every one of those days with purpose? Would you make every one count? ypj challenges us to find was to make a difference in our world...and to then go and do it!
ypj shares a few random thoughts on service, sacrifice and taking risks after the Mission: FF'09 trip. He again talks about society's low expectations of young people, but how fulfilling our lives can be when we challenge ourselves to look at the world around us and determine to make a difference in it by sharing Christs love in practical ways.
ypj talks about the difference between living impulsively and living with purpose. Using Proverbs 4 he shows how easy it is to live by our impulses and ultimately waste our lives on things that only bring us harm.
ypj discusses Heaven and challenges us to stop viewing it as a place to go when we die, but rather as an inheritance that is awarded to people who choose not to waste their lives and instead live by faith. Heaven is not given to just anyone, but only to those who seek after it.
Submission is not an "American" word, but it is a vital element of our spiritual lives...without it we call call ourselves followers of Christ. ypj teaches us how God not only wants us to submit to Him, but also to those He has placed in our lives as authorities over us. God will never place anyone in authority until they have learned to be under authority.
Our spiritual life needs a solid foundation built while we are young or else it will likely be lost when we head into the challenges and uncertainties that life will bring to us as adults. ypj continues his discussion on the five elements of a solid foundation by talking about Faith and Submission.
ypj discusses the extremely low expectations that today's society places on our youth and how it has affected us. Young people have more passion, energy and creativity than most "adults" and they are much more capable of using them then they are often given credit.
