God's goal in your spiritual life is for you to relinquish your natural attitudes and actions.
Recent events that have happened with the riot at the capitol have many people asking questions on how this relates to our lives biblically.
Depravity is not standing the test, rejected, disqualified, failing the test, unapproved, worthless
GOD’s wrath/judgment is revealed against the ungodliness/unrighteousness/depravity of man, by turning man over to himself.
Self-centered love is an indicator of our spiritual condition. God-centered Love starts with an appreciation of our unearned vertical connection to the Father.
You can verify the identity of GOD’s chosen race by their selection, service, sanctification, & salvation.
Peter acted hypocritically after GOD ministered to him personally & privately, so Paul rebuked him publicly. Whenever one chooses Race over GRACE, their hypocritical actions will lead to separation, not salvation.
JESUS CHRIST, the Risen Savior, gives “HIS power” to “HIS people” to fulfill “HIS purpose” to disciple people of all races. The Great Commission brings people of all races by faith into a community of unity & diversity rooted in the TRINITY.
How do you respond when you have experienced racial animosity? When you are literally told there is no room for your kind here?
Is there a superior race or inferior race in GOD'S eyes? When JESUS died on the Cross, was buried, & raised from the dead did HIS BLOOD make a higher payment for one race over another?
This Sunday join us as we explore how the Tower of Babel laid the foundation for people & groups like Adolph Hitler & the KKK to unite for evil, and you may be totally AMAZED by what GOD had to say about them.
GOD created the initial humans to represent, resemble, & rule for HIM while reproducing the imago Dei. Adam & Eve rejected GOD’s truth, being deceived by the serpents lies causing the fall of the “entire” human race.
We begin a new bible study on contentment. How can we be comfortable and trust that God is in control when we may be dealing with discomfort or misery?
Paul informs the Corinthians his examination of them has been biblical in the past and will be correctional in the present. The Corinthians that their examination of Paul must mirror a correct evaluation of Christ's weakness & strength.
When GOD gives us the purpose of influence, we must know private prayer precedes public performance and He equips us with previous power to solve the present problems.
Have you ever questioned the sincerity of leaders who God placed in your life? Do you realize questions go both ways? Is it OK if those same leaders question your spiritual maturity? How do we determine reality?
We can always see GOD’s hand as HE grants us spiritual receptivity in the presence of others for the purpose of influence, despite systematic plans to destroy GOD's people.
How does GOD use the pain of life to produce these major characteristics in us? Is the purpose of pain to make you weaker, so you actually become STRONGER?
When God responds to our adversity & difficulty and declares our victory & deliverance before the battle even starts.
We continue our series in the book of 2 Corinthians. Pastor Blake teaches from 2 Corinthians 11 about how the apostle Paul informed the Corinthians that his level of communication w/them is based on their reception of him and his physical, mental, emotional, & spiritual distress are his sincere scars of service.
As we enter the third message in our series, we look at the pain and power of influence and look at the life of Moses and hidden figures that impacted how Moses was able to begin the platform God gave him and influence the entire nation of Egypt.
Paul informs the Corinthians that his initial gospel interactions w/them reveal his spiritual intentions: their salvation and his sacrifice. The needs continual gospel proclamation to others does not impede spiritual affection for them.
When GOD gives us a platform of influence it will often get darker, so HIS GLORY will shine brighter and others they can hold us, but they can’t keep us, because GOD has a need for us.
Pastor Blake continues in our bible study on 2 Corinthians 10 and addresses false teaches in the Corinthian culture. Paul informs the Corinthians his concern was for their spiritual mentality drifting & shifting from Christ to corruption by believing & embracing deception.
We begin a new series this week as we look at how GOD uses his people and their influence for His glory. GOD will often “perfectly position” us in enemy territory, in order to build our platform of influence. Our platform of influence is sure & secure because GOD’s “powerful presence” is with us in enemy territory.
As we begin our first bible study of fall 2020 we return to our series Authentic on the book of 2 Corinthians. Paul informs the Corinthians that his spiritual activity is rooted in the spiritual mental realm, not the physical carnal realm.
In our last message of our Just for You series Pastor Blake teaches on John 4 on how Jesus shows up for the Samaritan woman at the well. Despite her past and status in the community, Jesus clearly understands who she is and what she needs. Though the woman thought her need was physical, Jesus offers her something spiritual by offering himself as the living water to satisfy her soul's thirst.
This week we begin a new bible study series as we look at why Marriage and Money Matters. This series will take a different approach as we not only teach from the word in a bible study but also interview married couples at various stages to get their perspective on how biblical truth has influenced money in their marriage.

As we continue our series Just For You, Joseph Chinn teaches from Matthew 8 and displays how Jesus shows up for a man with the debilitating disease of leprosy and completely heals him. When life hits you with something that makes you a social outcast, we see Jesus can heal and restore health and so much more.
As we continue our series Just For You on the works of Christ. Jermon Malone teaches from John 11:17-45 about the death and resurrection of Lazarus. In the case of extreme loss, Jesus shows up for a family in need.
As we continue our series Just For You on the works of Christ. Joe Bolden teaches from Mark 5 about the death and resurrection of Jairus' daughter as well as the woman with the issue of blood for 12 long years. On the way to show up Just for a Parent, Jesus also showed up for a woman who placed her faith in Jesus despite exhausting all other options.
This Sunday as we continue in our series on the works of Jesus, Just for You, Nathan Allotey teaches from Matthew 11 about John the Baptist. John is in prison with no way out and as doubt fills his mind asks Jesus if He is the One.
Jesus gives an answer in actions and words that removes all doubt from John's mind and gives us confidence that we don't have to doubt Jesus either.

As we continue through the book of 1st Peter this week we continue in chapter 5. As we go through the fire we must be mentally and spiritually prepared for the attacks of Satan. Satan is roaming around like a lion waiting for us to be vulnerable. We must always be on alert.
As we continue our series in the book of 2 Corinthians. Paul informs the Corinthians that the Macedonians spiritual priority preceded their financial generosity; they were “sold out” before they “bought-in”.

As we go “through the fire” of suffering, our persecution reveals our position & connection to GOD’s glory. Our suffering and persecution should not be because of a misrepresentation of GOD’s name.
As we continue in our bible study series on the book of 2 Corinthians we enter chapter 7. Paul informs the Corinthians that authentic feelings can come from seasons of distress, darkness, & despair producing depression.

This Resurrection Sunday we focus on a message about what the resurrection of Christ means. Christ not only died for salvation but also because He was able to defeat Death. The resurrection of JESUS & His defeat of death, makes us reflect on the works of CHRIST biblically, historically, & presently and makes us recognize the will of God.
Paul informs the Corinthians that his calling & cause was motivated vertically & horizontally, manifesting his motives & mission.
As we continue our Sunday series Through the Fire on the book of 1 Peter today we focus on chapter 3:13-22. As we go through the fire of spiritual afflictions, our spiritual actions reflect our position in the faith. Similar to Noah building the ark our afflictions will be vindicated by our God and our Savior.
This week we continue our bible study series on the book of 2 Corinthians. Every born again believer must realize God will judge and reward our works and words based on our sincere worship and motives.

The prophets who wrote the old and new testament wrote of future salvation intended for the church age. As we go through the fire of spiritual reflection our mentality should be focused on future glory, not our present story.

Going through the fire will involve being aware of satanic attacks and facing your failures, however, God has prayed for you, therefore you will come through greater than how you started.
This Sunday we not only have the last message of the year but the last message in our series called Lord Help. Jermon Malone teaches from Mark 10 about the blind beggar Bartimaeus. He cried out, ignored the crowd, called on Jesus, threw his cloak to the side and thanked God for the cure of his blindness.
With the 5th message of our series Lord Help, Pastor Blake teaches from the book of Mark 6 as a follow up to when Peter walked on the water.
This Sunday we continue our series called Lord Help. With the 4th message of this series, we focus on Matthew 14. The disciples were in a boat when they see Jesus walking on the water. Peter asks if he can walk on the water as well.
As Peter walks on the water he begins to sink when doubt enters his heart. The same God who helps out step out on faith is the same God who helps us when we are sinking in fear in our storms.
This Sunday we continue our series called Lord Help. With the 3rd message of this series, we focus on Luke 17. Jesus encountered 10 men who had, leprosy, a debilitating disease which meant these men were ostracized from society. Jesus healed all 10 of the men but only one returned to give him thanks and praise.
This Sunday we continue our series called Lord Help. With the second message of this series, we focus on John 4 where Jesus encounters a royal official whose son was sick to the point of death. Jesus spoke a word and the boy was healed. God shows us His word is powerful enough to help us even when we think it is almost too late for us.
This Sunday we begin a new series called Lord Help. We will take a look at specific encounters in which Jesus directly provided timely help for those in need. In this first message we look at the man who was healed at the pool of Bethesda in John 5.
With the final bible study message of 2019 and the 8th message in our series on discipleship, Pastor Blake teaches why the Gospel is necessary and walks us from Genesis to the new testament.
With the 7th message in our series on discipleship Pastor Blake discusses how those under the influence of the Holy Spirit preach the Gospel. As believers, we have to ask ourselves why we hesitate to preach the Gospel more willingly God has given us his Spirit which is all we need to reach others.
The Perfect Church body is made up of imperfect people. Though we may wander off from God's truth we should be open to correction and times when our brothers and sisters in Christ are working to pull us back to where God would like us to be.
With the 6th message in our series on discipleship Pastor Blake discusses how the spiritual transformation must happen on an individual basis which requires spending time with God. The most important aspect to the believer is to spend time with God.
With the 15th message in our series on the book of James, Pastor Blake teaches on the latter half of James chapter 5. Many of us would say that we are not envious or jealous, however, the lack of prayers in our lives may reveal that we do not believe God will do it for us so we resign ourselves not to ask. However, God perfects us by afflicting us and allow us to suffer and during those times in which we suffer prayers are to be offered up.
With the 5th message in our series on discipleship, elder of marriage and family life Pastor Royce Robinson teaches on the important of passing on the faith to the younger generation but also for the younger generation to be willing to submit themselves to receive the faith from those who have been faithful.

It is important to recognize that while we wait on God we do not give up hope and knowledge of knowing God will and can come through. We take a look back on Exodus 16 and see that the children of Israel forgot how God moved in the past and showed their impatience. We can also become impatient but is important to not complain while God is moving on His timing and not our own timing.

With the 3rd message in our series Transformed to Transform Pastor Blake continues to teach on discipleship. It’s one thing to know a lot of information about what god expects and it’s another thing to actually move in power and be the hands and feet of Jesus.
With the 12th message in our Be Perfect series on the book of James, Pastor Blake teaches from James 4:11-17. When we talk about people in a judgmental manner without grace we are saying that our own words are more authoritative than the word of God and this is not remotely true.

With the final message in our series on the book of 1 Corinthians Pastor Blake teaches from chapter 16. Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.
As we continue our series on the book of James Pastor Reggie Holiday teaches on how the tongue can be tamed with God's help and a tamed tongue can allow you to be perfect in how you speak to and about others.
This week for the Emmaus Experience bible study we look at 1 Corinthians 16 about how each of us have a missional responsibility to provide support to The Church through giving. We cannot let out past negative experiences with church giving affect our missional hospitality.

Your works do not prove or determine your status as it relates to salvation but if you have received saving faith then it should drive you to do good works to solve people's problems. Sometimes saying "I'll pray for you" is not enough we have to demonstrate our faith by action.
As we continue our series in the book of 1 Corinthians we look at chapter 15. Your maturity level will be defined by your perspective on eternity. Pastor Blake teaches on 1st Corinthians 15:50-58.
With the 7th message in our series, Be Perfect on the book of James, Pastor Royce Robinson teaches from James 2:8-13 on Perfect Love, Perfect Living. Perfect love looks a certain way and God has an expectation on how we need to display love in our lives.

With the fifth message in our series Be Perfect, Pastor Blake teaches from James 1:26-27. God’s word lays out exactly what “perfect religion” looks like and we must understand perfect religion is defined by our contaminated perception of ourselves and our corrupt communication to and about others. God’s definition of religion versus our own definition.
With the fourth message in our series Be Perfect, Pastor Blake teaches from James 1:19-26 on how God has not only prepared us for every trial but now is the time that God is calling us to take action. We must control our attitude and actions when we are in a trial. As we move toward maturity we must also put behind us anything that hinders us from hearing the word and applying it to our lives.
With our third message in our series Be Perfect we continue in the book of James. Pastor Blake Wilson teaches from James 1:12-18 on the difference between a trial and a temptation. Temptations do not come from God but instead, come from our own internal desires.
Temptation is our lustful internal motivations desiring things outside God's will. Trials are situations to be put to the test, an experiment that involves calamity or affliction that is designed as an authentic proving ground.
With our second message in our series Be Perfect we continue in the book of James. Reggie Holiday teaches from James 1:5-11 about how we should pray. Our prayers should contain elements of applying biblical wisdom, lifting faith over doubt and finding contentment in our current position. If you lack wisdom then pray but think about how you go about praying.
This week we begin a new series called Be Perfect. This series is a follow up to the Perfect Church series. Pastor Blake teaches from James 1:1-4 about the fact that God is calling all believers to become perfect through a process which strengthens their endurance for trails.

God was continuing to signs and wonders through the apostles and this week we focus on Philip. He went from a disciple who was learning and following Jesus to someone who was performing miracles like Jesus. Though imperfect God was perfecting him to reach more people.

If you won’t learn from the Bible about sexual sin, Jesus may take his hand off you and let satan teach you.

Delilah was motivated by money, used her looks to get what she wanted and knew how to scheme with the best of them. We cannot be motivated by money. There is more to life than the size of our bank accounts. You are a representative of the Savior and should not jeopardize our witness for the almighty dollar. You are not the only one who has mouths to feed and bills to pay. Don’t be deceived, what we do has consequences.
Faith played a huge factor from beginning to end. Naomi and Elimelech demonstrated clear lack of faith when they chose to leave Bethlehem to reside in Moab. Instead of praying and waiting on God, they took matter into their own hands. God would eventually provide bread for His people. This should be a lesson for us today. He may not come when we want Him, but He is always on time (Heb. 11:1, 6)!
Tamar’s actions revealed her true desire to bear children for Judah and his sons. It was her right by law. When she felt that her rights were taken away from her, she took matters into her own hands. Tamar went from destitute to determined. Because of Tamar, the Abrahamic promises were fulfilled, the messianic lineage continued, and she became an ancestress to Jesus Christ. 07/11/2018
Miriam’s life is included in only a few scriptures, but is full of treasure. Trust God in the toughest periods of your life. They might last for longer than you’d like, but God promises never to leave or forsake you. He will deliver and when He does, it will be amazing! While on the journey apply every effort to be at peace with all men and bring glory to God.
Despite getting a bad rap as being the seductress/adulteress who had relations with King David, Bathsheba went from a minor character to a complex character that rose to position and authority. She possesses qualities that all women should aspire to possess: 1) poise under pressure; 2) perseverance; 3) submissiveness; and 4) recovery from loss to continue with God’s plan.

The resurrection of Jesus means salvation for those who believe but we also observe that many people have low expectations on the effects of the resurrection. If Jesus erased all the sins of the world and was raised from the dead, why is it that we do not believe God can resurrect the dead things in our lives? We have much to celebrate so let's tell the world what Jesus has done.
