Golden Willow, in Taos County, New Mexico, is a nonprofit counseling center that serves individuals, families, and communities experiencing grief. Funding made possible by the Johnson & Johnson/ Rosalynn Carter Caregivers Institute will allow the center to focus on education and support for young children and teens who serve as caregivers. The goal of this program is to help children develop empathy for others and to assume the natural role of "caregivers of the future.

A good friend, loving husband and father and wonderful person, Al Emer suffered a tragic, premature death due from a lightning strike while camping in a State Park in New Jersey. Friends gathered at Sandy Hook one early morning to celebrate his life and mourn his passing.
