On this week’s edition of Sunday Stories our guest is Jake Zserdin. He tells about how he got involved in the church and what keeps him coming back. He shares why his bull riding career was brief but fruitful, including winning the National Little Britches World Finals his first year riding bulls. He tells us what it is like to ride a bull. He opens up about his decision to begin fighting bulls. He shares the perks of becoming a Wrangler model and what the future holds in store for him. Finally, he opens up about how the men of NorthChurch Guthrie have influenced him.
On this week’s edition of Sunday Stories our guest is Rosie Hamilton. Rosie talks about her role with NorthKids and why she enjoys working with the students. She tells us how her first time at NorthChurch Guthrie was in the front seat of a squad car with her husband Jason. She shares how she was pulled to Guthrie from her home in Minnesota. She talks about how she met her husband and what drew her to him. She discusses her four children. She tells us of her day job as an educator and the challenges of transitioning to teaching virtually and taking her work home. On this week’s edition of Sunday Stories, Corey White sits down with Kenneth and Hannah Owens who recently married. They talk about their courtship, wedding, and how the NorthChurch Guthrie family has had a positive impact on their relationship. They discuss the value of beginning their relationship as friends and how it has helped make their bond stronger. They each discuss the triumphs and challenges of truly putting God in the middle of their marriage as well as learning how to offer each other patience and grace.
On this week’s edition of Sunday Stories our guest is Terra Wagner. She describes the divine way her and her family ended up in Oklahoma. She tells listeners about how she turned her storm shelter into a food pantry to help feed the hungry in the city of Orlando, Oklahoma. On this week’s edition of Sunday Stories, Corey White speaks with our guest Jantzen Miller. Jantzen talks about how the diversity of NorthChurch Guthrie is something that draws her to the church. She tells listeners that as a NorthChurch hero it is her mission to make sure everyone feels comfortable and loved when they walk through the church doors. She talks about growing up in the Bible Belt and how her upbringing did not really challenge her faith. She discusses us how she met her husband and how a move to Silicon Valley helped bring her closer to a true relationship with Jesus. She opens up about counseling Christian women through speaking and writing and her new program for Christian women leaders called “We Are the Bold.” Jantzen tells us how her and her husband ended up back in Oklahoma and what the future holds for the two of them. Finally she shares on how you can find godly contentment in a world that always wants more.
This week our guest is Luis Hernández. Luis explains how community drew him to NorthChurch Guthrie and how it has kept him coming back. He talks about his passion for entrepreneurship and his dream of starting his own business someday. He discusses his childhood, in which he moved around a lot, and how that has impacted him. He opens up about being a part of the DACA program and the challenges and advantages that he faces because of this. Luis also discusses some struggles he had as a young man and how the men of NorthChurch Guthrie have offered him wisdom that has transformed his life. He shares about a time when he found a Bible while working at a feed mill and after he started reading it he never stopped. Finally he talks about how he, as a single man, is inspired to use this season in his life to build the kingdom.
On this week’s edition of Sunday Stories, Corey White speaks with Jeny Crick. She tells listeners about her role in helping to start NorthChurch Guthrie. She tells us about her two daughters, her husband Roger, and her animals. She speaks of her journey from California to Wyoming to Oklahoma. She opens up about her oldest daughter Liberty’s battle with thyroid cancer and how NorthChurch has been there for her family. She tells of her experience being a lunch lady and shares some funny stories from that time. She talks about her four dogs and three cats and her desire for a mini donkey and mini pigmy goat. She opens up about the severe depression she battles and how she manages it while offering advice for those who are suffering from mental health concerns. Finally, she lets listeners in on the story she plans to write about a particularly significant day in her journey through depression.
On this week’s edition of Sunday Stories, Corey White sits down with Derrick Whitehorn. Derrick opens up at how he was initiated into a gang at the age of 15, where he would remain until he was 21, when he was saved. He tells us about the process of actually being initiated into a gang. He talks us about his first spiritual encounter at the age of 8 and how that encounter remained with him in spite his challenges he faced as an adolescent and young adult. Derrick opens up about several near death experiences he faced during his life in the gang.
Derrick discusses why he decided to leave gang life at the age of 21 and the role God played in that decision. He tells us the advice to young people who are considering choosing “street life.” As a detention officer, Derrick uses his experience to positively impact the troubled young people he works with.
He opens up about his work as a Christian rapper and how he reconciles rap’s glorification of gang life and his own journey away from that life.
Derrick tells us how he uses his gift to reach people other Christian artists might not be able to reach. He even gives listeners a preview of his music. Finally, he tells us about his family, including his five children and his loving wife.

She tells us about Made Possible By, an organization she and her husband started to help non-profits connect with organizations to streamline, improve, and promote giving. Finally, she tells listeners how hosting her podcast “Conversations Around Good” has ignited a passion in her for creating connection and promoting cool people and ideas.

On this edition of Sunday Stories, Corey White sits down with Albert Andreatta. Albert shares how he ended up at NorthChurch Guthrie and why he loves the church so much. He tells listeners about his wife Carol and his children. He opens up about his decades long sobriety and how God compelled him to stop drinking. He offers advice to those who are struggling with alcohol or substance abuse issues. “Instead of telling God how big my problem is, I tell my problem how big my God is,” he says.
Albert talks about his desire to disciple, so that he can help people not make the same mistakes he did. And he shares how’s he learned to listen for and to God’s voice. “If you don’t have God, that’s that hole you are trying to fill with either drugs, alcohol, money, gambling, pornography, something. If you put Jesus in there and the holy spirit, then nothing needs to be filled,” he says.
On this special Valentine’s Day edition of Sunday Stories, Corey White is joined by Emma Bowers and Nathan Montgomery. Emma and Nathan are currently preparing for their wedding coming up on March 13th. They discuss how they met, their courtship, and their proposal. They talk about their future which includes veterinarian school for both of them. They offer young listeners advice on developing a relationship and keeping Christ at the center of it, and they open up about what NorthChurch Guthrie has meant to their relationship.
On the fifth anniversary of NorthChurch Guthrie, Corey White speaks with Pastor Heady Coleman. Heady talks about how he and others within the church tried to navigate a very challenging 2020 that included a worldwide pandemic which forced the church to briefly close physical services for the first time. He discusses how he worked to keep connecting with people on both social media and through more traditional means, like writing letters, during that time. He opens up about the changes that have happened over the last year, including the transition to a new location. Finally, he tells listeners what he sees for the future of NorthChurch Guthrie.

This week we talk with Mike Zserdin. Mike serves in multiple areas at NorthChurch Guthrie. He tells us about his thirty year relationship with his wife Tracy and the challenges and joys of their marriage. He talks about his two sons, who are both adopted. He discusses his entrepreneurial spirit and his desire to build things. He discusses his new startup that he and Tracy are developing, Made Possible By which helps organizations connect with non-profits. He tells about his wife Roni and his two children. He offers his testimony and tells us why it is important to always be willing to share your testimony with people. She tells us ultimately how all of this made her stronger and strengthened her faith. Finally he discusses how his family’s decision to lead NorthChurch Guthrie has impacted him and his walk.
Our guest this week is JeriBeth Zachary. She tells listeners about how being an introvert while serving on the host/greeting team at NorthChurch has helped her grow, how NorthChurch has developed her faith, the joys and challenges of raising her granddaughter especially in the age of social distancing, as well as her relationship with her husband Ted.
