Kristen Modafferi has been missing 23 years. Kent Jacobs has been missing 18 years. This podcast explains 'why' I believe they BOTH can be found.
In early July, 2020, I called Jon Onuma in the hopes that he would agree to a 'far ranging' interview where I would allow him to share his side of the story regarding his involvement with the 'Kristen Modafferi' case. I spoke with Onuma many years ago and he was not as bombastic as he is during this interview. In May 1998, Americas Most Wanted featured Kristen's case and John Walsh id's Onuma as 'a person of interest' that the Oakland PD wanted to speak with.
Somehow, 'Person of Interest' Jon Toshi Onuma was living all alone in a million dollar seaside home and yet had no job. In 2002, Onuma was evicted after his connection to the 'Kristen Modafferi' case became known to the locals in Kaneohe, Hawaii. About a month after his eviction, Onuma wanted to bet back into the home. He was not told 'no way'! He then said he left behind a 'briefcase' that was hidden in the attic. The Property Manager located the hidden briefcase and inside were articles about the disappearance of Kristen.
One of the first things Oakland PD ever did was to get the bloodhounds to try and track Kristen's scent. The dogs were successful in that they tracked Kristen's scent to a local bus stop and then again 6.9 miles away at Land's End Beach near the Sutro Bath Ruins located near the CliffHouse Restaurant. Unknown to Law Enforcement at the time was that Jon Onuma lived barely a mile away from the bus stop on O'Farrell Street. Oakland PD placed the dogs in their car for the 7 mile drive from the bus stop to the beach. It is possible that the dogs may have led cops right to Jon Onuma and Jill Lampo's door. When this occurred, Onuma was not yet known to Law Enforcement so they will never know where the dogs may have led that day.
We really need a tip. If you know anything or have heard anything, please let us know.

In May, 1998, John Walsh aired Kristen's story and named 'Jon Onuma' as a 'person of interest.' Todays episodes airs the audio signal of that episode along with some more background info that never made it onto the TV Show.
If you have info about Kristen - please contact Oakland PD: Sgt. Bradley Young at 510-238-3320.
Kristen was 18 years old when she vanished in the Bay area from San Francisco. She was visiting the Bay Area between her Freshman and Sophomore years at NC State in Raleigh, NC after receiving a 4-Year Academic Scholarship.
Arriving on June 1st, 1997, she vanished 23 days later on June 23rd.
Our 'best guess' is that Kristen only met between 35-50 people in those first 23 days and that is important because the FBI says there is a 96.4% changes that when a woman meets with foul play, she somehow knows her assailant.
Of course there is no guarantee that this will bear fruit in Kristen's case - but it sure gives us a place to start focusing on.
