We talk about the film, Melanie's artistic and personal backgrounds, and dating in Vancouver (because we are qualified) and feature one of the songs on FSM's dopee album: WILD by Vancouver based pop artist ROYAL. srs alert This film is sweet and heartbreaking and funny and anything anyone could want in a movie and we were so lucky and honored to be able to talk to Melanie about this project. Dama and Dora discuss black centric films and representations in honor of Black History Month. We discuss the cultural significance of John Singleton's groundbreaking Boyz n the Hood and Quentin Tarantino's glorious Django Unchained and drop some fresh fun facts in the process. Considering the lack of representation of minorities in the film industry, it is always important to celebrate and acknowledge these stories whether they are as exhilarating as Django's or as real as Tre's. And when is there a better time to do this than Black History Month?
