The 2022 season ended in disappointing fashion for the Clemson Tigers who lost 3 of their last 6 games, including an Orange Bowl loss to a team wearing an inferior shade of orange. Bright spots this year were overshadowed by a deteriorating offense and QB controversy that will be discussed all offseason until the Tigers take the field again in 2023. In the meantime, 6-0 and 1st place in the ACC feels good. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

The Tigers giveth, the Tigers taketh. Jaws of defeat, or something like that….After a shaky start and a spate of turnovers by the offense, the #5 Clemson Tigers overcame a rare 2nd half double-digit deficit to defeat the 14th ranked and undefeated Syracuse Orange 27-21 on Saturday afternoon in Death Valley. The Clemson Tigers took care of business Saturday in Williams Brice in the return of the annual rivalry game with South Carolina, coasting to a 30-0 victory that felt over from the get-go. In this ep we review a solid offensive performance that leaned heavily on the ground game, and the masterful job by what could be the last Brent Venables-led defense at Clemson. The Tigers now sit at 9-3 and #20 in the country as they await their bowl game destination and opponent, and for the coaching carousel to stop spinning. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

View Details

The Clemson Tigers may be down, but they served noticed to the ACC on Saturday that they remain the gold standard in the conference with a comanding 48-27 victoy over #10 Wake Forest. In this ep we discuss another dominating performance by the defense, and one that was complimtented with an offense that finally appeared to be able to score at will. We wrap with a look ahead to the rivary game with South Carolina and an exciting weekend of ACC football (we know, that sounds weird). Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

The Clemson Tigers stumbled to a 44-7 victory over UConn in Death Valley on Saturday, emptying the bench more out of necessity than dominance as the injuries continued to pile up. In this ep we touch on the UConn game, then look ahead to what Clemson will need to do to beat Wake Forest as they cling onto hopes of an ACC Championship Game appearance. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

View Details

The Clemson Tigers pulled off their biggest win of the season in Bourbon Country on Saturday as they came from behind for the second week in a row in defeating the Louisville Cardinals 30-24. In this ep, we discuss an offense that continued to show progress in posting their highest point total in an FBS game this season, and a defense that had trouble with a (healthy) Malik Cunningham, but made an incredible goal line stand to seal the victory for the Tigers. At 6-3, Clemson is now bowl eligible, could potentially end the season with 10 wins, and still has an outside shot of winning the ACC Atlantic. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

View Details

The Clemson Tigers avoided snatching defeat from the jaws of victory on Saturday in Death Valley, as the offense was able to put together a 4th quarter, game winning drive in what was ultimately a 30-20 over the Florida State Seminoles. In this ep we reflect on an ugly, yet deceivingly improved offensive performance that was overshadowed by 3 missed field goals, while the defense continued to hold serve, limiting FSU to under 300 yards of total offense while posting 6 sacks and 10 TFL’s. At the end of the day, a win is a win (especially in 2021) and Clemson improves to 5-3 while somehow remaining in the hunt for an Atlantic Division title. However, unlike years past, this team does not control its own destiny, it’s ACC opponents do, which when you put it that way, makes it actually seem possible. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

View Details

The Clemson Tigers continued their rapid descent from the top of the mountain on Saturday in a 27-17 loss to the #23 Pitt Panthers. The offense once again failed to crack the 20’s in regulation against an FBS opponent, and the defense was worn down in what is already a season to forget, and one that’s only barely halfway over. For the first time in a long time there’s no joy in Daboville, and while there will certainly be brighter days ahead, remembering what it’s like to suck, well, sucks. At least the Braves are in the World Series again. (Try to) Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

The Clemson Tigers narrowly escaped defeat in the Carrier Dome on Friday night, improving to 4-2 with a 17-14 win over Syracuse. It was a familiar story storyline in this 2021 season, as the defense (and special teams) once again bailed out an offense that continues to struggle to score. And though there were some hidden bright spots on offense, Clemson fans will need to remain content with another close win for now. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

View Details

For the first time since Hunter Renfrow walked on the Clemson football team, the Tigers are unranked after clawing their way to a 19-13 victory over Boston College on Saturday night in the Valley. And though there were some bright spots in this game, they were largely overshadowed by the fact that it wasn’t pretty, and the attrition is mounting. In this ep we focus on these aspects of both the offense and the defense, discuss the increased reliance on special teams, and wrap with our thoughts on what a 2021 ACC Championship would mean for this team, and what it should for the fanbase. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

View Details

The wheels have come off for the Clemson football team as an ugly, 27-21 OT loss to N.C. State in Raleigh on Saturday drops the Tigers to 2-2 for the first time in 7 years. In this ep we discuss the structural issues plaguing this team, focusing primarily on an offense that has yet to put up more than 14 points in regulation against an FBS opponent. But though there have been brighter days in Tigertown, we posit that this is not quite yet the end of an era, though it appears much more than just a bump in the road. Enjoy(?) and Go Tigers!!!

View Details

The Clemson Tigers offense continues to sputter in a 14-8 win over Georgia Tech that looked like something from the 1940's. However the defense continues to dominate, standing as the lone bright spot for this team 3 games into the season. In this ep we primarily focus on the offense's struggles and what it may take to right the ship. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

View Details

Coming off of their first opening game loss in 7 years (also to Georgia), the #6 Clemson Tigers righted the ship in Death Valley on Saturday with a 49-3 victory over the S.C. State Bulldogs. In this ep we recap both this and the Georgia games (2:35), looking for signs of improvement for an offense that is still trying to find it’s identity (30:49), while also searching for the right words to describe how dominant the 2021 version of Brent Venables’ defense projects to be (1:05:34). We also discuss our updated predictions for the team’s trajectory this year and wrap with a look around College Football (1:31:37). Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

2 Clemson suffered their worse loss in the playoff era on New Year's Day as #3 Ohio State dominated all phases of the game, handing the Tigers a humbling 49-28 defeat that capped off an unusual 2020 season. In this ep we recap a game in which the Tigers had no answer for OSU on either side of the ball, as the Buckeyes defensive pressure stymied Trevor Lawrence and the offense (7:24) and the defense looked completely inept against a masterful game plan and gutsy performance by QB Justin Fields (33:57). In doing so we breakdown the Tigers' deficiencies and how it relates to recruiting, before offering an optimistic look ahead to their trajectory moving forward. We wrap with a quick look at the upcoming national championship game that will be played without the Tigers for only the 2nd time in 6 years (1:11:46).

The #2 Clemson Tigers will be making their 6th consecutive trip to the College Football Playoff after claiming their 6th straight ACC title in a 34-10 blowout of fellow playoff contender Notre Dame. In doing so they avenged their loss to the Irish from 6 weeks prior when a depleted Tiger team lost in double OT in South Bend. In this ep we discuss the dominant performance and what having Trevor Lawrence back meant to the offense (11:46), and how the return of key defensive starters, combined with the development of some outstanding true freshman, held Ian Book and Notre Dame to 10 points the second time around (41:36). We wrap with a look ahead to the playoffs and Clemson’s matchup against six game winner Ohio State, and discuss the potential for playoff expansion (1:07:44). Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

The #3 Clemson Tigers weathered the cold (and sprinklers) in Blacksburg last weekend, exiting with a 45-10 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies. In this ep we recap what was an otherwise unmemorable game that saw the Tigers' offense limited in possessions (8:26), and their defense that was on the field for nearly two-thirds of the game (36:12). We wrap with a look ahead to the upcoming playoffs and the impact Ohio State may have as a mere 6-0 team (57:38). Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

Three weeks after suffering their first loss of the season to Notre Dame, the #3 Clemson Tigers were back on the field in Death Valley Saturday afternoon and showed that time heals all wounds, mounting a 52-17 victory over the Pitt Panthers in a game in which they led 31-0 after one quarter of play. In this ep we discuss the return of QB Trevor Lawrence and his impact on the offense (17:59), and a defense that forced 5 turnovers in welcoming back Tyler Davis, Jaime Skalski and Mike Jones Jr. into the mix while also showcasing freshman talent (43:03). We wrap with a look around college, discuss the latest rankings, and consider potential matchup scenarios heading into the playoffs (1:07:54). Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

The Clemson Tigers went down to Tallahassee on Saturday looking to bounce back after their first loss of the season, only to be turned away by the FSU administration in an attempt to avoid further humiliation in a humbling first season under coach Mike Norvell Corona Virus. In doing so they almost assured that Dabo and the Tigers hang 100 on them the next time the two teams meet, which in our estimation may very well have been worth it. So in this ep we discuss the decision, the fallout and the inaugural College Football Playoff ranking for 2020. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

A depleted and mistake-prone Clemson Tiger football team went into South Bend on Saturday night and could not hang on against a Notre Dame squad that showed they could win on the big stage, as the Tigers were left to lick there wounds after a 47-40 2OT loss to the Irish. In this ep we discuss the rare regular season loss (1:04) in which the offense posted their worst rushing performance since 2011 (17:01), and the defense ran out of gas against a Notre Dame offense that proved much more capable than they let on in previous performances this year (49:30). We wrap with an outlook of the rest of Clemson’s season and how this loss and other factors may affect the Tigers’ playoff hopes. Enjoy, Go Tigers, and fingers crossed for a rematch.

The #1 Clemson Tigers overcame the absence of Trevor Lawrence after he tested positive for Covid late in the week, mounting the largest home comeback in school history en route to a 34-28 victory over Boston College. In this ep we discuss the rare closely-contested ACC matchup (00:55), as the offense rallied behind the play of the next in line of Clemson 5-star QBs, true freshman DJ Uiagalelei (22:48), and the defense made adjustments to stop the bleeding, holding the Eagles scoreless in the 2nd half (39:23). We then offer our early thoughts on the upcoming Notre Dame game before taking a look around a college football landscape that is nearly back to full strength, with the PAC-12 joining the fold this weekend (59:12). Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

The #1 Clemson Tigers turned it on late in a 47-21 win over the Syracuse Orange Saturday night, "escaping" with a four score victory that left fans somewhat uneasy about a somewhat erratic performance. In this episode we recap a game that saw the offense sputter at times (13:31), with miscues stalling drives and leading to points against a defense that played much better than it appeared on first watch (30:46). The Clemson Tigers are back for what is already shaping up to be an unusual and unpredictable 2020 college football season as, despite several key players not making the trip to Winston-Salem, presumably due to COVID-related precautions, the Tigers shook off some early rust in an eventual 37-13 route of Wake Forest on Saturday night. In this game recap we discuss an offense that once again opened up and found success in the passing game over the middle (8:16), a new look defense that returned to dominating the line of scrimmage (33:41), and a special teams unit now filled with veteran kickers who made their impact felt (44:54). We wrap with a look around college football and discuss the possibility of the Big 10 joining in on the action as conference officials continue to waffle on their decision (49:08). MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE PAWCAST!!!

The #3 Clemson Tigers make their 5th straight College Football Playoff appearance this weekend in the Fiesta Bowl as the #2 Ohio State Buckeyes look to unseat the defending national champion. Each team will face their toughest test of the season as two statistically elite offenses and defenses will be on display in what stands to be one of the best semifinal match-ups of the CFP era.

In this ep we preview a game (4:31) that will showcase two elite QBs whose battle in the recruiting rankings two years ago finally finds its way to the field in Glendale. Justin Fields and the OSU offense will challenge a reloaded Clemson defense that has exceeded all expectations, albeit against vastly inferior competition (16:42). On the flip side Trevor Lawrence aims to continue his playoff dominance as a potent Clemson offense looks to overpower an OSU defense that, though greatly improved, has not faced a dynamic offense all year (30:46). And in a game between such evenly matched opponents special teams could be a major factor, an area in which OSU has a decided advantage (43:09). We wrap with our keys to the game and predictions for how we see it playing out (49:38).

The Clemson Tigers continued their free fall in the AP Poll over the weekend as a 35 point win on the road at Louisville wasn’t enough to convince the AP voters that the ROY bus should remain parked in storage. As it turns out Clemson fans joked about it with each other themselves during a 1st half that saw Trevor Lawrence throw two interceptions and with the Tigers exiting up only 3 points more than Alabama was at the half, in Tuscaloosa, over a Tennessee team that had previously lost to Georgia State. And, yes, we acknowledge that Tua left midway through the 2nd half, but Chase Brice > Mac Jones.

As August camp wraps up and the Tigers turn their attention towards the 2019 opener next Thursday against Georgia Tech the script has been flipped from last year as Brent Venables' defense carries the most question marks heading into the season as Clemson looks to defend its 2018 National Championship. In this ep we attempt to fill in the blanks on defense while acknowledging that this unit has a long way to go to match the success of 2015-18 squads and caution that things may not be easy in the early going (2:08). But the Tigers will also field what may be the most potent offense in college football, led by QB Trevor Lawrence who, as dominating as he was in 2018, still has room to improve on his freshman campaign (23:24). He will be accompanied by what looks to be the most talented WR group the Tigers have ever fielded and one that, in our opinion, may included 3 of the top 5 WRs in the history of Clemson football when all is said and done (34:03). We conclude by discussing the historically weak schedule this talented group will face and why Clemson fans shouldn't pay mind to the haters out there trying to delegitimize the team's success (46:02). Fall camp is on the horizon for the 2019 Clemson football team as the defending champions set their sights on back to back titles for the first time in school history. 12-0: South Carolina Recap by Clemson Pawcast

View Details

The Clemson Tigers overcame a slow start on offense on Saturday but the #1 defense in the country held the Duke Blue Devils in check until the offense kicked it into gear, ultimately running away in the second half en route to a 35-6 victory. Clemson now heads into rivalry week at 11-0 as the #2 team in the country and is looking poised to finish the regular season undefeated for the second time in the last four years. An underwhelming South Carolina team will be looking to spoil that and avoid 5-peat retribution at the hands of the Tigers who could become the third team this year to extend a winning streak to 5 games over the Gamecocks. When you put i that way it just sounds pedestrian. Go Tigers and enjoy the show!!!

The Clemson Tigers sent the Ramblin’ Wreck to the junkyard on Saturday in Atlanta en route to a 49-21 victory over Georgia Tech. Brent Venables and the defense dominated Paul Johnson’s triple option for a 4th year in a row but the real storyline is what took place in the QB battle. After a sluggish start on offense Trevor Lawrence replaced starter Kelly Bryant and led the offense to 4 touchdowns over the next 5 drives, totaling 5 TD drives on the day. In doing so he may have done enough to assume the starting role and bring closure to a competition that has persisted since he stepped foot on campus nearly 10 months ago. In this ep we recap the game and give our thoughts on what could be the beginning of the Trevor Lawrence era at Clemson and how the rest of the ACC is bowing down to usher him in. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

After a sluggish start by the offense on Saturday the Tigers came to life in the 2nd quarter on their way to a 38-7 victory over Georgia Southern. Overcoming early miscues and a game ending injury to Kelly Bryant, the offense did all of their scoring over the final 3 quarters and the defense held the option-running Eagles to 1.9 yds/car en route to the win. The 3-0 Tigers now turn their attention to yet another option team in Georgia Tech in what may very well be Paul Johnson’s last hurrah. Enjoy the show and Go Tigers!!!

We are less than two weeks away from kickoff of the 2018 college football season with this year’s version of the Clemson Tigers looking to avenge a disappointing season ending loss last year to the Crimson Tide in the college football playoff semifinal. In doing so the team will return with what is shaping up to be the most dominating defense of the Swinney/Venables era and quite possibly the best defensive line the sport has ever seen. In this ep the guys are back with part one of their yearly installment of player position group breakdowns, focusing on that defense and what they may have in store for opponents this upcoming season. Though depth may be a concern at certain positions the roster is loaded with elite talent that will look to improve upon its #2 ranking from 2017 and continue it’s run of dominance its enjoyed over the last few years. But will they be able to match last year's 11 sack game vs. Auburn (probably not)? Will a lack of depth cause Christian Wilkins to make a move to safety (no)? Does big Dex have two good feet (yes!)? We discuss these topics and more as we preview the defensive side of the ball heading into the 2018 season. Enjoy the show and Go Tigers!

The Clemson Baseball Team wrapped up the regular season and ACC Tournament with 45 wins and as a regional host, earning the national #10 seed in what has been a terrific season on the diamond. The boys of summer finished the season strong, winning 19 out of their last 22 games, but were unable to get past FSU in the tourney. Heading into regional play it will be interesting to see how this team stacks up against quality competition in what is a near mirror image of last year’s regional. We touch on the highlights over the past couple of weeks, including the supernatural play of Logan Davidson, and preview the Clemson Regional.

Not to be outdone, Christmas came early this year for Clemson Men’s Basketball coach Brad Brownell and the team as starting guards Marquise Reed and Shelton Mitchell announced that they’ll be returning for their final season. This is huge news for a program that took a big step forward last year in advancing to the Sweet 16 for the first time this century and with 3 of 5 starters returning next year, combined with the younger talent and grad transfers, expectations for the 2018-19 season are high. We kick off this ep by briefly discussing what this means for the team and future of the program.

Recruiting and Spring Headlines with Quacking Tiger by Clemson Pawcast

View Details

Not only did Clemson’s spring football game bring about a QB controversy of sorts it also brought out the stars as the Tigers inked 6 new 2019 recruits in the past week, bringing their total to 10. In what will possibly be the largest class of the Dabo era the coaching staff has begun to bear down on what should prove to be an exciting summer on the recruiting trail. In this ep we take a look at the newcomers and discuss Clemson’s needs for the recruiting cycle.

On the diamond the baseball team showed up in Winston-Salem struggling as of late but managed to pull off a three game sweep of the Demon Deacons. The bats came alive over the weekend and the Tigers will look to keep that up in their march towards hosting a regional over the last 16 games of the regular season.

The Clemson Men’s Basketball Team ended an incredible season and run in the NCAA Tournament with a close loss to 1-seed Kansas in the Sweet 16 in a game that saw the Tigers down by double digits for most of the action, only to pull within in 4 late and ultimately losing by that margin. It was a season of exceeding expectations for Brad Browned and his team as we now go into the offseason with a level of excitement leading into next season that this program has not experienced in some time.

On the diamond, the Tiger baseball team rebounded after getting swept by N.C. State at home, going 7-2 over their last nine games as the bats start to show signs of coming alive again. There’s a lot of baseball yet to be played but still some holes to fill for Monte Lee’s team as they make a push towards the post season and vie for a Super Regional Bid.

We cover it all in this ep and will look to transition back to football talk in the coming weeks now that basketball season is over and the spring game approaches. Enjoy the show!

How sweet it is, how sweet it is!!! The Clemson Tigers Men’s Basketball Team is dancing well into March after two dominating performances against New Mexico State and Auburn in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament and is now on their way to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time in more than two decades. Clemson's three-headed monster guard trio of Gabe Devoe, Shelton Mitchell and Marquise Reed have been an unstoppable force early on as they’ve combined to average 54 points per game through the first two contests with Elijah Thomas dominating down low. The Tigers now turn their attention towards a talented but flawed Kansas Jayhawks team that was tested by 16-seed Penn and escaped 8-seed Seton Hall with a narrow victory. However, this experienced squad and storied program should pose the greatest challenge the Tigers have faced all year but, as we’ve seen so far, no team is safe in this tournament. Virginia says hello.

In this ep we look back on the tourney run thus far and preview the Jayhawks as Clemson looks to extend their dance for a couple more weeks. We also touch on a Tiger Baseball team that is scuffling after a series sweep by NC State in Doug Kingsmore over the weekend and discuss what it may take to right the ship in Tigertown. Enjoy the show and Go Tigers!

The Clemson Men’s Basketball Team is breaking out their dancing shoes for the first time since 2011 as Brad Brownell and the boys cap off a fantastic season with a 5 seed in the NCAA tourney. After battling Virginia to within 6 points in the ACC Tourney the Tigers face another defensive minded team in the Aggies of New Mexico State. Clemson looks for its first non-play in game win in the tournament since 1997, when they advanced to the Sweet 16, and to put an end to a drought that has persisted since the Rick Barnes era.

On the diamond, Clemson baseball continues its hot start, improving to 15-1 and 3-0 in the ACC after a weekend series sweep against Georgia Tech. The pitching has remained dominant and the bats are starting to heat up in what could be Monte Lee’s best team yet.

We’re back with an update on both sports in what is turning into a very exciting Spring for Clemson athletics. Enjoy the show and Go Tigers.

Spring is near in Clemson, SC, but Tiger sports fans are already budding with excitement over the success of the men's basketball and baseball teams as well as the potential of the 2018 football team as it is revealed in Spring practice.

On the hardwood the men's basketball team bounced back from their first losing streak of the year by finishing the regular season 2-1 and tied for 3rd in conference play. The Tigers enter the ACC tournament as the fourth seed, securing a double bye and a match up with the winner of NC State vs. Boston College. Currently projected as a 4-6 seen in the NCAA Tournament, Brad Brownell's team looks to regain the momentum they had for most of the year.

On the diamond, the baseball team sits at 11-1 after taking the season series from South Carolina for a fourth year in a row. Monte Lee is now 3-0 against the Gamecocks and has only dropped one midweek game in now his 3rd year leading the Tigers.

Finally, on the gridiron, the QB battle heats up and several ncoming freshman standout as Clemson looks to turn the page from a disappointing end to the 2017 season with the focus of returning to the College Football Playoff for a fourth year in a row.

What a great time to be a Clemson Tiger!!!

Spring is near in Clemson, SC, which means it time to start talking about tournament basketball and the 2018 Tiger Baseball team. First, after a scintillating start to the season the #15 Clemson Men’s Basketball team has come back down to earth, suffering their first losing streak of the season as they’ve dropped their last three in tough fashion. The loss of Shelton Mitchell to a concussion late in the loss to Florida State has crippled an offense that has resembled Brad Brownell teams of old in losses to Duke and Virginia Tech. However, all is not lost as they hope to get Mitchell back for the last three games of the regular season and return to form in an attempt to make a deep tourney run.

On the diamond, the #11 Clemson Baseball team takes the field under 3rd year head coach Monte Lee as the Tigers look to advance to a Super Regional and possible trip to Omaha for the first time since 2010. This years team is loaded with power with the return of Seth Beer, Chris Williams and Logan Davidson, among others, but all eyes will be focused on a young and inexperienced pitching staff that loses all four starters from last year. The jury remains out on what the ceiling of this team stands to be for the 2018 season but a lethal offense, improved defense and talented pitching staff loaded with potential is a cause for optimism. Is Seth Beer Omaha bound in his last season as a Tiger? A 4-0 start has them headed in the right direction. Enjoy the show and Go Tigers!!!

Coach Dabo Swinney and his coaching staffed locked up their 8th top-15 recruiting class in a row and another top-10 finish as the additions of 5-star WR Justyn Ross and 4-star CB Mario Goodrich on the second edition of national signing day are the icing on the cake of the 2018 class. With a Clemson record 4.06 average star rating this is likely Dabo's most talented and complete class during his tenure but it's not without its faults. In this episode we take a broad view of this recruiting class and what it means for the future of a program that's been the 2nd winning-est in college football over the past four years. We also take a closer look at those recruits who signed on national signing day part 2 to discuss what future impact they will have for this team. Go Tigers!

College Football’s National Signing Day Pt. 2 saw the Clemson Tigers continue to shine bright with the addition of 5 Star WR Justyn Ross and 4 Star CB Mario Goodrich. The Tigers can now claim six 5 star recruits and the number one or two player from six battleground states in what could be Dabo Swinney’s most complete class as coach of the Tigers.

The #16 Clemson Men’s Basketball Team also continues its success while currently riding a 3 game win streak and ranked #2 in the ACC standings. The loss of Donte Grantham to injury has surprisingly done little to slow this team as they remain undefeated at home on the year while also racking up ACC road wins. They look tournament bound for only the second time in Brad Brownell’s tenure with what is his most impressive team to date.

The Clemson Tigers defied expectations this season by making it back to the College Football playoff for the third straight year but ultimately fell short of their goal as the Alabama Crimson Tide rolled the Tigers in the Big Easy on Monday night. The Clemson offense was stymied by the Alabama defense and failed to generate any momentum all night in what should send the Clemson coaching staff back to the drawing board this offseason to regroup and retool. In a season of lowered expectations with pleasantly surprising results the team and coaching staff is to be commended on what was still a successful year that included a third straight ACC championship. The future is bright for Clemson Football and this is just a bump in the road as the 2018 class brings in a bevy of talent and the returning veterans will undoubtedly be playing with a chip on their shoulder after an embarrassing loss to end the season. In a year where expectations were tempered due to the departure of so much high profile talent head coach Dabo Swinney has thus far crafted his masterpiece as he has the #1 Clemson Tigers headed back to the College Football playoff for a third year in a row after an utter dismantling of the Miami Hurricanes in the ACC Championship game. It was the team’s largest margin of victory over a ranked opponent in program history and their 3rd ACC Championship in a row, the first such streak for Clemson since the 1986-88 seasons. No hurricane or turnover chain could intimidate the Tigers as they hit the ground running and never looked back, securing this game after the first three offensive possessions. Kelly Bryant and the offense looked as good as they have all season and the defense was dominant yet again as Clemson seems to have clearly cemented itself as the most well rounded team in the playoff. That includes the Alabama Crimson Tide, whom the Tigers will matchup with again for the third straight year, albeit this time in a semifinal game in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Why did the chicken cross the road?

To head home at halftime...

The Clemson Tigers marched into battle Saturday night under a hail of coke bottles, water bottles and mini-bottles Saturday night in Williams-Brice but that was the biggest threat they faced as the Tigers defeathered the Gamecocks on their way to a 34-10 massacre of their arch rival. A flaccid catchphrase was not enough for the impotent Cocks as they've now lost four in a row in the rivalry and have been especially unable to rise to the occasion the last two years in suffering humiliating defeats by failing to perform (too much?). Clemson now turns their attention to the ACC Championship game and a Miami Hurricanes team that suffered their first loss off the season to Pitt on Friday. The Clemson Tigers overcame some crucial mistakes and a sluggish 3rd quarter in Death Valley on Saturday night only to emerge with a 31-14 victory over rival Florida State and as ACC Atlantic Division Champions for a third year in a row. The Seminoles, though only a shell of their former selves, did not give in after the Tiger’s took a 17-0 lead into halftime, battling back to within 3 points with just under 9 minutes to go in the fourth as the Tiger faithful held their breath before Van Smith and Travis Etienne sealed the deal on Clemson’s victory. It wasn’t a perfectly executed game plan but one thing is for certain, the Clemson Tigers are 9-1 and will be playing the Miami Hurricanes for their 4th conference title in 9 years and tie FSU with 5 division titles all time. As the old saying goes, "You win some, you lose some." And if you're NC State head coach Dave Doeren, you also wine some, you b!+¢h some, you moan some, you call for full investigations based on unsubstantiated claims of nefarious activity and cast accusations of conspiracy against the State. What a cute puppy dog...

The #4 Clemson Tigers rolled into Raleigh on Saturday night and showed what champions are made of as they weathered an early attack and rallied late in the 3rd quarter to fight off the Wolfpack from NC State, leaving with a 38-31 victory and another notch on their belt as they march towards a third straight ACC title and College Football Playoff birth. As much as Doeren would like you to think this was about officiating, laptops and injuries, this was actually a story of perseverance of a team that, though they did not always play at their best, never got rattled in the face of adversity. The Tigers now set theirs sights on FSU next week as they look to secure the division crown and put the Pack to sleep for good. Enjoy our NC State recap and Go Tigers!

Well, if we didn't learn it last year it's now again evident that losing a game is not the end of the world as the Clemson Tigers bounc back from their loss to Syracuse by totaling the Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and now find themselves at #4 in the initial 2017 College Football Playoff rankings. The Tiger's defense paralyzed the Yellow Jackets' ground attack for the third year in a row and Kelly Bryant was back to his old self, making dynamic plays with both his legs and his arm while proving to be a more valuable asset to this offense that many thought he would be going into the season.

We've got a long one for you today as we catch up on recruiting news, recap the Georgia Tech game and look ahead to this week's match up against NC State, while also diving deep into the CFB playoff rankings and debating what they got right, what they got wrong, why Clemson should be pulling for the Gamecocks (gasp!)and why Cody thought Michigan was going to be a good football team. Terrible. Terrible on offense. Terrible on defense. Terrible on special teams. Terrible coaching. Terrible play calling. Terrible night to play on. Terrible place to play. Terrible team to lose to. Terrible color orange.

Do we seem bitter?

The Clemson Tigers took one across the chin Friday night in upstate NY as the Orangemen defeated the boys in orange 27-24 in what was Clemson's most embarrassing loss in recent memory. The Tigers didn't have answer for Syracuse on either side of the ball as they were outmatched, outplayed and out-coached all night long. The good news is these were all correctable mistakes and Clemson still has every opportunity in front of them to make another CFB playoff appearance. But it's win out or get out now for the Tigers as there's no margin for error moving forward. Begin the healing process with us in our recap. Go Tigers!

The Clemson Tigers jumped out to a quick start over the weekend leaving the Demon Deacons in their wake (pun intended) as they coasted (sorry) to a 28-14 victory in Death Valley, improving to 6-0 on the season.
