It’s with the warmest pleasure to welcome long lasting friend @bas-dobbelaer to our podcast. The dj that is playing the most beautiful sets at Mostra Festival, Above Below and Freerotation a.o. this year, is also one of the most inspirational producers out here. Over the years he has released music on @ad93rec, @trulerecords, @appiansounds Sounds, @sohaso and many more, and is responsible for the outstanding ‘What brings us together’ EP on our label, teaming up with Will. Bas clearly enjoys all things deep and dub, which resonates in this ambient set that he’s played as the support act of Moritz von Oswald at De Weide. Enjoy the deep basses, crispy textured rhythms and enchanting melodies of a dear friend. Thanks for sharing this set Bas!

It’s a true pleasure to welcome @sub-accent to our podcast series. The Accents Records label boss, and exquisite producer, has created a platform for experimentation and deep listening in the past couple of years, and we hope he won’t ever stop. Johan Bonnefoy, his real name, works mainly with hardware and a modular system, oscillating between ambient, industrial, techno and electronic experiments. With appearances on One Instrument, KVLTÖ Records, Cellar Door and many other impressive labels, he has created a remarkable discography throughout the years. Johan’s mix is one that keeps you on the edge of your seat, starting with drone-like soundscapes and guiding us through worlds of downtempo and experimentation. We had this mix on repeat the past couple of days, and we’re proud to release it. Thank you so much Johan!
Very proud to welcome Sophia Zhuravkova (@zhuravkovasophia) to our podcast series. The NTS radio resident, musician and member of the duo Ewer has one of the most elegant and delicate outputs of ambient crafted from field recordings, electronic and electroacoustic sounds, drones, and spoken word. Sophia adores nature and it clearly shines through in all of her work. With appearances on Best Effort Records, Ny Agenda, Infinite Audio Netwerk, Interior Music and Eco Futurism Corporation, Sophia has created an impressive discography of organic soundscapes, field recordings and melodic ambience. Sophia’s mix is enchanting and atmospheric, guiding us through shimmering Ambient pieces and her love for breathing Shoegaze and Dub. We’re enjoying this immensely. Thank you Sophia! #sophiazhuravkova #podcast #ambient #shoegaze #dub #thesomethingsomething

It’s a pleasure to pick up our podcast series again with one of the most peaceful and elegant mixes we’ve ever hosted on TSS. Our ears go to Sydney - Australia, where Dan and Gary have started the phenomenal Low End Theorists platform, and its recordlabel Theory Therapy. From there they are hosting music that we’ve fell in love with many of times and that’s why we are very honoured that Dan mixed an hour of his favourites for us, under his known moniker Patrin.
"For me, this mix is one of the more emotional directions I've taken lately. I've really enjoyed selecting certain tracks based on strong feelings or moods in recent times, and having the chance to record something personal has been so rewarding and revitalising. Much like the many ups and downs of the last few months locked down inside, it was super nice to strike a balance between the sadness, joy, calmness, and everything in between. Huge love to all the artists featured for the endless inspiration."
Thank you so much Dan!

I feel far away from everything and everybody, ever so far away, and I feel as if all the adventures which succeed one another incessantly were unfolding themselves like a play in a theatre—and I, miles and miles away, watching. For a long time tonight I have stood absolutely still, lost in an odd introspection, watching with an inward eye the progress of these years in our life. Anaïs Nin

Even more new grounds, as we're starting a podcast series in addition to our radio show ✨ After his TSS appearance in September, @shoall started assembling music inspired by the live set he did at the ISOTOOP party in the desert of Marrakech. He also added new music and this felt like the perfect time to launch the series. So a huge thanks to Shoal for the creative pleasure! Cover design by Rutger Paulusse & Frank Burghout.
It was an honour to have @samuelr94 over in the show. He's a master of the lush and deep, so hope you'll enjoy this as much as we did! Cover design by Rutger Paulusse & Frank Burghout.

Remix for Brad Coleman. Out January 28th on The Tech Lab Recordings. Mixed by Marco Spaventi. Feedback: Nuno Dos Santos: Nice remix!! Great flow! Downloaded. Anton Pieete: Sounds great. Definitely gonna play this. TWR72: Superb hook and tight beats on this strong remix by Cursed P Philogresz: The remix has a great feel and rolling elements. Really organic too. Eddie Niguel: Love the vibe of the remix. Deep, sexy and demented all at the same time! Will be on my playlist for sure.. Nathan Surreal: Pretty unique way of grooving if you ask me. Cursed P delivered a more hypno-grooving track with a lot of dope elements. Especially the way he uses his FX is pretty awesome to hear! Archie Koba: Very nice track, love the building hypnotic vibe. Will definitely appear in my sets!
Warming up for Boris Werner in the main room, starting the night slow but soon rising up the paste as people were coming in fast. My complete two-and-a-half-hour set of that night. Thanks Studio 80 for a great time X
