Week 8 reaction paper on "When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir" by Asha Bandele and Patrisse Cullors
Liam's reaction paper on Deepa Iyer's "We Too Sing America: South Asian, Arab, Muslim, and Sikh Immigrants Shape Our Multiracial Future"
My reaction to Neda Maghbouleh's book The Limits of Whiteness: Iranian Americans and the Everyday Politics of Race, focuses on the quote "When it's the teacher who just stands by or is bullying you, you can't go to the teacher." I attempt to address that right now is a critical point because Iranian American discrimination is new, and thereby pushed by authority figures. It is the responsibility of those with privilege to shut this down before a history of discrimination builds upon itself.
