Indeed. This is a single-take-out-of-the-blue-no-autotunes-cover. I've been wanting to record myself singing this masterpiece from our very own Joji.

It's easy to aim for love, but it's not so easy to say, "Don't fall for me."

We live in a world where love seems too superficial because of increasing marketing leading to commercialized concepts.

Nonetheless, please enjoy this song.

***I purposely scheduled to publish this episode today (June 25, 2020) at 3:oo p.m. right after the Online Oath Taking Ceremony Program for New Lawyers. The official En Banc would start at 2:00 p.m., and as instructed, it would last for an hour. Ergo, the scheduled publication of this episode at 3:00 p.m.

ABOGADO NA AKO (I AM NOW A LAWYER)!!! Although not yet fully-fledged, it all goes there, eh? There are three steps to become a full-fledged member of the Philippine Bar:

1. Pass the month-long, grueling Bar exams;

2. Take the lawyer's oath; and

3. Sign the Roll of Attorneys

All of these needed be done in Manila, supposedly. Only the Bar exams were held in Manila last November 2019 before the pandemic hit us. The oath had to be taken online because big gatherings are risky in Metro Manila, but we need to take the oath or we'll be stuck.

There were 2, 103 Bar passers. So, the safest way to conduct the oath was online. We had no other choice...we had to keep the momentum!

As of date, the signing of the roll of attorneys was set in Supreme Court, Manila, though. ***

I wrote this episode more than 10 years ago. I was in second year HS, as I would, frequently, mention. This was the genesis of my calling to be a lawyer. Truth be told, I dreamed of becoming an elementary public school teacher, first. So the thought of writing, "Sampung taong makalipas, isa na akong magaling at maunlad na abogado (Ten years from now, I am a competent and successful lawyer already)..." was a big surprise to me. Like something intrinsic caught me off-guard. I wrote this down without using scrap papers, just pure direct writing onto this red notebook (kwarderno).

This was, absolutely, the reason why I started this podcast. The idea sprung from this kwaderno - where I first received my appointment from God to be a lawyer.

From that moment on, I believed that I was cut for the legal profession.

And everything was history: there were sweet rides, bumpy roads, and steep mountaintops. But at the end of the day, it all leads to the success God and I had written more than ten (10) years ago. <3

This was the second entry I wrote for our Filipino subject project during my sophomore year in HS [back in the year 2007]. 📝 I was a hopeless romantic since, then. Yes, my bravery was fully formed at an early age.

It all started with a little red book/notebook called “kwaderno”. This was supposed to be a simple high school project but I am sharing it to you. ❤️
