Sometimes there is nothing we can do except pray, surrender and repent. Repentance is a tricky thing isn't it, but it's necessary to pray in faith and bring our lives into harmony with our petitions (Pr, 216). With intense earnestness, pour out your supplications as even Christ did. Bend your knee before Him and regain your first love, persevere and have a personal experience with the Holy Spirit, and fight the thinking so it doesn't become a doing. The brevity of time is catching up. Look around and you will see that the prevailing sins and the indulgence of perverted appetites are polluting our morality (CTBH, 11). God hasn't forgotten you. Nothing can befall us of which He takes no immediate interest (SC, 117). He has you engraved in the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16); YOU are His priority, YOU are the object of His love and yearning (COL, 225), so don't listen to the fear as Elijah did. Christ is waiting for us to awaken from our lethargy, to change our course of living, for by our wrong habits we are lessening our hold on life (CD, 45). If we continue judging others, if we continue willfully sinning what are we really doing but growing more and more darkened and lessening our strength to glorify God... which is a certain death.
