Mike Hayes is the founder and Senior Pastor of Covenant Church based in Carrollton, Texas, and celebrating a membership of more than 12,000. For 30 years, Covenant Church has been strengthening families, communities and the world by encouraging relationship with Jesus Christ in a diverse, multicultural atmosphere filled with vibrant Worship and relevant Word. Mike Hayes is respected around the world for his insight into the Word of God. Through his vision and leadership, he is actively preparing a generation of leaders who are destined to be world changers for the Kingdom of God.
The people of Covenant Church practice generosity. Part of human nature is the tendency to gather and keep things for ourselves. God’s desire is to give each of us what is sufficient for happiness, and that He then can bless others - through us - with what we have in excess to what is necessary.
In a powerful word by Founding Pastor, Mike Hayes, we learn that when we give – whether to the church or other good purposes – we should do so by grace, and because of grace. Giving solely because it is a rule, or done because of an expectation, will not establish a relationship with God.
