And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know[a] that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

1 John 3:11-16 New King James Version (NKJV)
11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous. 13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother[a] abides in death. 15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

The Imperative of Love 10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,

20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.[a] 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

1 John 2:15-17 King James Version (KJV)
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 John 2:12-14 King James Version (KJV)
12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. 13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. 14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

1 John 2:6-11 King James Version (KJV)
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. 8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. 11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1 John 2:1-5 King James Version (KJV)
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1 John 1:5-8 King James Version (KJV)
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

We live in a world anxious to have more, an unquenchable lust for material things, and it has caused our generation to lose focus of the most important things, mainly seeking after God. On this episode of Radio Redemption and Power we continue our study in 1st Timothy chapter 6, looking at the consequences on unbridled want.
1 Timothy 6:1-5 King James Version (KJV)
6 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed. 2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. 3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
1 Timothy 5:23-25 King James Version (KJV)
23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. 24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. 25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.

1 Timothy 5:16-22King James Version (KJV)
16 If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed. 17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. 18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. 19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. 20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality. 22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
1 Timothy 5:3-15King James Version (KJV)
3 Honour widows that are widows indeed. 4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God. 5 Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day. 6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. 7 And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless. 8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man. 10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work. 11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry; 12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith. 13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. 14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. 15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.
1 Timothy 5:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
5 Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;
2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
1 Timothy 4:16 King James Version (KJV)
16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
1 Timothy 4:13-15King James Version (KJV)
13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
1 Timothy 4:5-12King James Version (KJV)
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
11 These things command and teach.
12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
1 Timothy 4:1-5King James Version (KJV)
4 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

In this episode of Radio Redemption and Power we talk about the process in which God allows us to go through in which our faith is solidified.
Have you ever been made fun of, ridiculed and mocked for believing in Jesus? This isn’t something strange, it happens to everyone who is a true believer in Christ. A mocker is someone that tries to discredit a statement by making fun of it. This reminds me of a time when the Lord sent me to give a word in a church. After the service ended, one of the women from the congregation invited us to join her for dinner at her home. When we arrived I sat in the dining room waiting for the dinner to be prepared. I heard the associate pastor and his wife talking to a gentleman about receiving Christ as his personal Savior. As they were introducing the Plan of Salvation to him, he laughed and mocked at what they were saying. Thankfully this man later did receive Christ, but this reminds me about those that still haven’t. This is a serious matter folks and it is sad to say, but some of these people are in our own family. Every time I think about the story of Noah, I start to imagine as Noah was building the ark, what the people were saying about him. Look at this crazy man building an ark on dry land. Then I start to wonder about the final moment of their lives, as the ark’s doors were shut and the waters started to rise. Who are the mockers? They are the people that are lost and unable to see the dangers of the coming storm.
2 Chronicles 36:16 But they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against His people, until there was no remedy.
Have you ever been afraid of something bad happening to you or your family? I know the feeling. A few years ago when the stock market crashed, it set off a great recession in this country that devastated many lives. People lost their homes, jobs and even for some their savings. I will never forget it. My wife who managed several branches which provided funds for the builders of homes, came home one day and said she was laid off. This was right after of the purchase of our second home. This was something that I was not ready for. It triggered a chain of events that took away almost everything that I had, including all my savings. If that wasn’t enough, the job that I was working for at the time started to downsize and people were getting laid off. I remember one day that one of the big bosses came and started to call people in one by one. Before my name was called, I said to the Lord, remember your promises to me. I can remember from that from point on, I had a sense of peace. I knew that God had it all under control and I was asked to stay. Psalm 121:7 The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.
We are a forgetful people! How many times can we look back in our lives whether in Christ or even before we knew Him that He was certainly there for us, even as we rejected Him. Protecting and sheltering us from our wrong decisions or mistakes, trails and tribulations, sorrows and griefs. Only to have thoughts of abandonment as soon as we feel things aren't going are way again or the walls are closing in on us and God is nowhere to be found? But thankfully we have a God who will remain being faithful even as we are not, who will think of us even when we've shut Him out time and time again, who loves us and is good to us even when we do not deserve it. Let us remember who God is and He is Good.

There might be points in a persons life were we feel we've exhausted ourselves, were we might be at our wits end, tired, drained, about ready to throw in the towel. For a christian it could be running wearing of all your efforts to keep the faith, to continue the fight, to push forward when all seems lost. This world and it's ruler has a way of bringing us down of trying to make us distrust the promises of God. But for those who believe and look not to things seen but that which is unseen know that the Lord Jesus Christ is always there with pierced hands stretched out directly towards us ready to lift us up!!
Isaiah 40:28-31 New International Version (NIV)
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

On this episode Of Radio Redemption and Power we speak on the importance bearing fruit as Christian.
Matthew 26:17-30King James Version (KJV)
17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
20 Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?
23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
Hebrews 12:1-2
12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The word redemption has various meanings, especially when applied to spiritual matters, in this episode of Radio Redemption and Power we examine what it means, when The Bible calls Jesus Christ our Redeemer.
Have you ever wondered what it means to be a son? We live in a world where the concept of son-ship has been lost. Many men have abandoned their children and left them for others to raise. This has caused a great destruction in the family and resulted in many kids going out to fill that emptiness with something else. Some have ended up in gangs, broken relationships, jobless and on the streets. As a result, the relationship between fathers and their sons has been torn apart. In the same manner, many of us have abandoned God. Therefore our relationship with Him has been severed and due to that, we have lost our rights as sons. Jesus came to restore our son-ship back to the Father. When we accept Jesus, we are declared children of God. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
Have you ever felt alone? It seems at times when we are in the mist of problems, that God has forgotten us. However, as we can see throughout the bible, every person God called had to go through troubles and a time of testing. Our Lord was not exempt from it, nor are we. The word of God is clear. God is with us always. Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
When you hear the word identity what does it mean to you? For most people identity has to do with who they are, their character, what sets them apart from others. However most people don’t really understand that it goes much deeper than that. The identity of a person tells much of who a person is and also what rights you have. For example when you apply for a job, you are asked for your credentials. This shows the company who you are, what education you have and what your goals are. It also tells them if you are a responsible person. When you apply for a loans you are asked for your identity, in order to find out if you are the person you say you are and if you will be responsible to pay back the loan. Furthermore identity also has to do with certain rights which we are given, such as carrying a passport. A passport is a form of identity which gives us the right to enter other countries and also to return to ours. As children of God, we also have certain rights on earth and in heaven. However, one of the biggest reasons why so many Christians struggle with problems, is because they don’t know their identity in Christ. What is your identity?
In this Episode we speak about, what is greatest mystery found in the scripture, Christ in you, the hope of glory.
The Bible calls us to aware of satans schemes, in fact Jesus said that we aught to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. In this episode of RRP we touch on some of the tactics the enemy uses to sliver into the lives of believers.
1Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Have you ever met someone who is spiritually blind? To be spiritually blind means that the person is incapable of understanding or comprehending the truth of the Word of God. These are people who deny Christ and refuse to accept the true message of the Gospel.
2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
On the other hand, there are others who have accepted Christ but can’t tell the difference between the true Word of God and the false teachings. These people have chosen to follow a man’s word rather than God’s.
1 Timothy 4:1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines.
