Travi The Native This week's One To Watch is Belfast's Travi The Native. Travi has just released his latest track ishouldbesleeping and joined Sarina to tell her more about it.
Travi originally was in the band Travi The Tourist but took some time away from music to reevaluate where he wanted to take it. He returned as Travi The Native with a re-ignited love for music and released a number of singles and an EP last year.

ishouldbesleeping is a song Travi has been sitting on for a few years. It was written when he and his partner were doing long distance. With their busy lives the only time they could properly talk to each other was when they should have been sleeping. Travi took the track to his producer, who helped him bring the different sound to it that he was hoping for.

Rachel Mae Hannon This week's One To Watch is Rachel Mae Hannon. Rachel joins Sarina to talk about her latest single Work It Out.
Rachel recorded Work It Out over Zoom with her producer, and it was actually her first proper writing session. She thinks it's great that working online and good equipment has made making music so accessible to those who might just want to record in their bedroom.

Sarina asked Rachel how she started putting herself out there and getting her music heard. Rachel said social media has been a big help but the most important thing is finding confidence in yourself. Eoghan Moylan This week's One To Watch is Galway's Eoghan Moylan. Eoghan has just released his debut solo single Dark Disco.
Eoghan grew up around traditional Irish music and dance in Connemara but has taken his music many different directions. He always had a love for a more alternative sound and when he discovered digital synthesizers in college an obsession began. Dark Disco ties together influences of disco that Eoghan was hoping to make, with a sound that it true to him.

Having been through some tough times herself, Stacey's main goal is to take her voice and her platform to use it for good and help other people. Ocean Tisdall Ocean Tisdall is this week's One To Watch with is new track White Lies. The Wicklow native joined Sarina on Saturday's show to talk new music, future dreams and never letting dyslexia hold him back.
Ocean joined Sarina fresh off attending the Brit Awards this week, which he said was a surreal experience. He told her it was great to be back in a room celebrating people's art, especially after the hard hit the music industry has taken in the last 2 years.

Ocean has always known he wanted to be in music. He told his sister at 10-years-old that he was going to be Jessie J. Although she also told him he shouldn't be somebody else, he should always be himself. Growing up in a small village in Wicklow, Ocean said the quietness and alone time really helped him grow into himself.

Ocean's latest release White Lies is the first song he ever wrote. It was written at the beginning of the pandemic, when he had to isolate in an old abandoned farmhouse. He wrote it about a time he was in a situation with someone bad for him, but he kept going back to their blue eyes. Billie Eilish's song Ocean Eyes was a song he always listened to then, which you hear mentioned throughout White Lies.

Ocean is hoping to get an EP out this year, along with booking some gigs so he can finally get on stage. However, when it comes to long-term goals, he would love to win a VMA. Ocean tells Sarina he's always been a very visual person, especially with having dyslexia, and working that way comes very naturally to him. He even writes his songs by creating the idea visually with images from the internet, then taking them to studio to turn into lyrics.

Lisa Murray This week's One To Watch is Lisa Murray. Lisa has released her first single of 2022, i unfollowed you.
Lisa loves to tell stories through her music and i unfollowed you was inspired by a conversation with her best friend. They were both talking and laughing about social media, and the politics around who you follow, unfollow and mute, particularly in the case of exes. Lisa said she woke up the following morning with the whole concept for the track.

Lisa grew up in a musical family and started playing the piano at aged 7. She also started writing music aged 11. Obviously, music was the path for her and she went on to study Music and Irish at Trinity College, followed by a Masters Degree from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music. Lisa wanted to find a space that uplifted and supported women in the industry and came across an 'Outstanding Women' scholarship programme for a Masters degree in Music Production, Technology and Innovation there. She doesn't know how she got the confidence to apply but it all worked out great for her in the end!

Having studied in Berklee, Lisa said it has made such a difference to her music. To be able to see a track through from start to finish by herself means a lot to her and she now makes all her tracks in her home studio. Alongside her musical work, Lisa works as an Audio Engineer at Sony Music Entertainment.

Reuben Hester This week's One To Watch is Reuben Hester. Reuben has released his latest track For The Moment and joined Sarina on Saturdays show to tell her all about it.
Reuben decided to pursue his passion for music at a very young age. At just 16 he dropped out of school and left his hometown of Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford to pursue his musical dreams in Manchester. His family thought he was crazy, and he admits it was incredibly difficult at first. On his 45 minute break from college he would head out on to the city streets to busk and earn some money to buy a sandwich.

Things took a turn for Reuben when he was approached by the producers of Little Mix's reality show The Search. Although he was grateful to receive the invite, at first he didn't think it was for him. Having turned down producers three times, Reuben was convinced after meeting them in person and now says it was one of the best experiences of his life. He got access to incredible vocal coaches, help from the producers and has had continued support from the Little Mix girls too.

Fly The Nest This week's One To Watch is Fly The Nest. Fly The Nest is the alias of Stephen Cooper, and he joined Sarina on The Bellissimo Files to tell her about his latest track Say Hello.
Stephen said the name Fly The Nest came from his tendency to travel, and even leaving things like music projects on the past. Although he's played in bands before, he's now flying solo. He said he's been enjoying having more creative scope as a solo artist. It also brings more opportunities to work with different producers and musicians. Stephen also creates music for advertising agencies and is working with one in L.A. However, he's also currently based in Copenhagen, and has spent the last number of years gigging around Scandinavia.

He was at the start of his career when labels started realising there was music talent on TikTok. He's now signed to Warner Music UK.

DYVR This week's One To Watch is DYVR (pronounced dy-ver) They've just released their new EP Part 3 and lead single Pantheon.
Speaking to Sarina last weekend, DYVR said Patheon is a battle cry. They say for too long we've seen stories of the queer experience told with a negative spin, it's time to celebrate the good experiences too. DYVR wants to hear more of the positive queer experience directly from queer people and not in some news story.

Another passion of DYVR's is pushing the importance of community in music. Not just in the fans, but in the many people it takes to make something happen. DYVR said the moment they started to accept help from others was the moment things started to flourish. It's something they wish all new artists could know.

DYVR also told Sarina about their jewellery brand Queerings. The brand has a unique logo that was inspired by an experience their friend had while filling out a job application. They were asked to tick a box to mark their sexuality, which felt very archaic. The brand's logo is an ode to not fitting in any box and each purchase donates money to Stonewall UK.

Cayisha and Daz aim to use their music to spread positivity and inspire change. Daz is the man behind the soulful and upbeat beats. In The Movement he mixes a disco sound with the traditional Irish Kerry Polka for a really unique sound. Cayisha's powerful vocals tell the story of her upbringing as a black woman in Ireland.

Speaking to Sarina on The Bellissimo Files, Cayisha told us how her family moved here from Jamaica. At the time, there were very few other black people in Ireland and she explains the difficulties she faced growing up. However, Cayisha uses her music to channel those negative experiences into something positive. The Movement is a call for people to stand together in solidarity and move forward to a more diverse and inclusive future. The project also includes a mini-documentary titled The Movement: Perspective Of A Black Irish Woman.

Eva Campbell This week's One To Watch is Eva Campbell. The Dublin-born artist has just released her track Echo and joined Sarina to tell her all about it.
Eva began writing music with her Dad at just six years old. Her first ever song was really positive and uplifting, something she feels has continued on into her music today. She says she always wanted to be a singer, seizing every opportunity she could to get on stage and perform. And she did just that in 2019 when at just 16-years-old she took to the intimidating stage of The Voice and sang to the back of four red chairs.
At the very last second Olly Murs turned his chair for her and took Eva onto his team. She made it all the way to the knock out stages. Speaking about her experiences on the reality show, Eva said she's still so grateful for the opportunities it's brought her and the relationship she formed with Olly. She said he's still super supportive, even sharing her new track Echo on his stories.

Echo is Eva's latest release and was written in collaboration with producer Billy Farrell and co-songwriters in Ireland, UK and L.A. Although a cross-continent project, Eva actually worked on it from her own bedroom due to the pandemic. She says the song is about self-love and knowing your own worth, and she wanted to dedicate it to Dublin Pride.

Brí also said it's took her a while to overcome her fear of performing after a bad experience on stage. However, in offering advice to other artists with stage fright she said the best thing is to just keep doing it. The more you do it, the easier it gets and the good shows outweigh the bad. Cian Ducrot This week's One To Watch is Cian Ducrot. He's just released his new single Chewing Gum and joined Sarina on this week's The Bellissimo Files to tell her all about it.
Cian said he wanted to write an alternative break up anthem. He got the inspiration after hearing a song where the lyrics were blaming an ex for all the problems of the relationship. Cian's music career actually started down quite a different path the the one he's on now. Coming from a family of classically trained musicians, he plays many instruments himself. He also received a scholarship to the Royal Academy through playing the flute. Although, two years into his studies he realised it wasn't for him. From here his journey into pop music began. It was a big jump to make, but Cian called his mam from LA for her blessing and luckily she was super supportive.

WARD has only been making music for just under two years. Speaking to Sarina he said when he started out he thought he wasn't a great singer. Sarina asked WARD where he got the unusual name for the EP. The Waterford native said he was hanging out with his friends one morning eating pancakes and trying to brainstorm some ideas when one of them passed him the jam.
