With Einstein’s equation of E=mc2 as a platform, research into “energy” has grown rapidly. Quantum physics is the study of subatomic particles and submits that every person, place, thing and non-thing, seen and unseen is made up of such particles. Even what we consider empty space is filled with quantum particles or energy. We all have an energetic field that extends our physical form and is commonly referred to as the human energy field. This field influences and is influenced by the universal energy field which surrounds our environment. A component of our energy field is the chakra system. This system energetically interacts with all the external fields, feeding and influencing our state of being. To achieve optimal health we should seek to understand the relevance energy has on our lives and how it applies to living in abundance on all levels. Biofilms are collections of organisms working together to survive and thrive within a host environment. An example of this is the plaque that forms on our teeth! Healthy, beneficial, bacteria living within our intestines, organize into a biofilm to support their survival as well as ours. Additionally, biofilms can be formed by pathogenic microorganisms and create both illness and disease. Biofilms are resistant to antibiotics and so effective treatment lies within other forms of therapy. Although present throughout nature, the effect of biofilms was not studied extensively until recently, due to the presenting challenges of culturing the organisms and their ability to change form. Current and continuing research is growing and could potentially hold the key to increased understanding and effective treatment of many forms of chronic illness.

Brain Gym® is a movement-based learning program that utilizes 26 specific movements and a learning menu to coordinate the eyes, ears, hands, and whole body and develop the physical skills for learning. These movements often improve concentration, ability to focus, and the skills of reading, writing, math and test taking, as well as physical coordination, organizational skills, and self-control. Rhythmic Movement Training is used to integrate retained or underdeveloped primitive reflexes by replicating the natural repetitive movements a baby makes that are essential for development of head control, muscle tone and sensory integration. Retained or underdeveloped infant reflexes are involved in learning challenges such as ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, writing problems, and ASD. Kate Wagner, MA, is a Licensed Brain Gym® Instructor (www.braingym.org) and is trained in Rhythmic Movement Training (www.rhythmicmovement.com).

Each day of her life, though frequently suspended by countless hospital stays, deep comas, and months of life support after severe vaccine damage as a baby, Lorrin taught her mother, Karen. From the Disability Rights International website (www.disabilityrightsintl.org): In the United States, children with autism and other mental disabilities living at a residential school in Massachusetts are being given electric shocks as a form of “behavior modification”; we have found children with autism in Paraguay and Uruguay locked in cages . . . . After years of fighting abuses against children on a country-by-country basis, Disability Rights International has gathered much evidence that the institutionalization of children with disabilities is a worldwide problem. Over the past 16 years we have documented abuses against children in over 25 countries in the Americas, the United States, Eastern Europe and Russia, the Middle East and Asia. The dangers of institutionalizing children are pervasive and take place all over the world, including well-resourced, developed countries. Disability Rights International is calling for an end to the institutionalization and abuse of children. The goal of the Worldwide Campaign to End the Institutionalization of Children is to challenge underlying policies that lead to abuses against children on a global scale. Factors include those that are chemical/nutritional and those that are physical. There is a correlation between the functional movements we progress through as children and the level of health we have as adults. The idea of neural plasticity has gained tremendous ground in the last decade. The adult brain continues to be modified structurally and functionally by experience. When life meets life, when a baby arrives, it is a very emotional and intense experience. What should be bliss and passion is all too often colored by our expectations, what we have been told and made to believe how a good parent should be and feel, what a healthy baby looks and behaves as, and how to mold and shape this new manifestation of life. How do we value and honor life in any circumstances? What is our children’s mission? How are they a blessing? Join Betsy and pediatrician Dr. Gene Nathan, author of an upcoming parenting series on CD, as they explore these questions.
