Revelation 20,21

This week we come to the end of our half year long telling of the great story of Jesus the King and His Kingdom. We explore how the book of Revelation describes what is to come and how this vision can fill us with a deep hope in life in the face of our present sufferings.

Our journey through the big story of the kingdom is nearing its destination, and this week we shift from looking back to looking forward. We explore how the story ends and one of the topics Jesus most spoke on - judgement! Who does the judging, when and on what basis are we to be judged. These are neither light nor uncontroversial questions but are indeed central to the good news of the Kingdom. I hope, by the end you will discover that judgement is indeed good news. ~ Pastor Scott Morrison

We have been journeying through the big story of scripture for several months now, trying toget our bearings on this thing called 'the gospel of the Kingdom' that Jesus continually taughtand demonstrated. In simple terms, the 'Kingdom' is wherever the will and way of God is donein partnership with people for the blessing of all creation. Our job is to partner with God in all things that express His will and way...

What is a "nation of priests"? Why did God want a tent? What does holiness look like? Where does the Law of the Old Testament fit into faith today? And how does all this relate to the grand narrative of the Kingdom of God? In this bonus sermon in the series, we explore how these themes weave together to form the blueprints of the kingdom of God - both for the original recipients, and us today.

This week, we explore the beginning of God’s unrelenting plan to restore us to his Kingdom and blessing. With Abraham, humanity begins the long slow journey of unlearning and relearning just who God really is. We will overview most of Genesis with special attention to Genesis 12, 15 and 22. These are some of the most important passages in the Old Testament and critical to understanding the gospel of the kingdom and how to read scripture in general.

Not because we all need a good dose of condemnation but because we need a good dose of hope and to see that even though our lives are impacted by sin, they need not be defined by it.

In this episode Pastor Scott Morrison is sharing a message from John 21:15-18

The new year is starting and I’m sure many of us yearn to come back – back to some kind of normal or familiar life as we knew it, church as we knew it. After all, we are comfort loving creatures.

But what if God is way more concerned with our growth than our comfort? What if his preference is not to come back, but to come forward – to step forward with Him, for Him and through Him. This week we examine his invitation to us through his invitation to one of his closest disciples, Peter. My hope is that you will be renewed in your faith to come forward with us into the year ahead.

This week, Scott shares with us a powerful idea flowing though our culture is that you can be spiritual without being specific or dogmatic. Is there a spiritual truth that trumps the others or is one person's theory as good as the next. In Acts 17 Paul addresses the agnostic world view and points them, and us, to the God who is before and behind all creation. This message challenges us that we can no longer sit on the spiritual fence pleading ignorance. This is a great message to share via social media with your wider family and friends.

On Sunday Pastor Scott Morrison launched our 2020 theme and series - Love Moves.

Scott introduces the Book of Acts and poses the question; How will we respond to the command to be witnesses and give testimony to the love of God as expressed through Jesus.

Why are we reading Acts this year? The church was Jesus’ vision - through whom the world might be blessed.  He seeds this new community in his ministry years but it is really born out of resurrection, commission, holy spirit power and radical love. Acts gives us our greatest window into the kind of Church Jesus was forming, and inspires us toward the same mission. It was a movement of disciples who were discovering how to live and love in a radically counter cultural way.

We live in a world more brilliant yet more broken than ever. We have the technology to do the seemingly impossible,  yet our personal lives and communities are riddled with all kinds of pain and dysfunction.  Is this just the way life is? Are we helpless victims of fate? Or are there real forces at work upon us, and around us?  Is there a good fight we are avoiding and a victory we are missing? In the Good Fight Series, we will uncover the spiritual warfare dimension of our mess, learn where the primary battle lines are, and a framework for successfully fighting the good fight in life. This week..

Scott Morrison concludes The Good Fight series with a message titled Filled and Fearless - Moving Forward Together in the Good Fight.

Living a Prayer – living out the greatest prayer of your life

Series Passage: Matthew 6:1-5

Our last series focused on God speaking to us. But Jesus also asks us to speak to him and he explicitly describes what that can be like. The prayer he gave his disciples is rich in meaning and contians some of the most important teachings on developing a healthy life - spirit and soul . We will discover that Jesus’ prayer is more than a good structure for connection – it is a life you become. Jesus not only asked us to pray this prayer, he personally lived every aspect of this prayer – with us and for us.

Forgiveness. It's audacious, risky, a beautiful and radical idea. Can we really live free from offence? Can all that was past and broken be replaced by all that is new and flourishing? And what would that life - abundant, completely free - even look like?
