Enjoy my live interview with Octavio Salvado, founder of The Practice Yoga Studio in Bali.

We discuss the definition of true yoga, the real meaning of tantra and the place of a yogi in the modern world.

Octavio began practicing the science of Kriya Yoga at age 19 and was eventually initiated into Kriya Yoga at 27 in Northern India. He pilgrimaged for a decade across India, deepening his understanding and practice of Yoga and Tantra; things that can’t be learned from books.

He has accumulated dozens of certificates over the last two decades, but to him they matter very little. As the Masters say: ‘Only direct experience matters and how committed we are to daily practice’.

Now, with the unshakable resolve to educate people on the truth about Tantra – about what it is and what it isn’t – and to make it more accessible and meaningful for the masses, Octavio has committed himself wholeheartedly to the lineage of Sri Vidya Tantra, the knowledge-stream of the Himalayan Masters. This sublime lineage, above all else, is dedicated to bringing forward more light, wisdom, and beauty into the world by the virtue of committed personal practice.

Greeting Rainbow Warriors

How's everybody doing?? I know it’s been a while since I’ve published an episode and I am so grateful for your patience. I am coming to you today from the south of France where I’m currently just north of the magical and powerful Pyrenees and just about wrapping this round of my pilgrimage to Mary Magdalene. As I’ve dived into her teachings I’m learning that I have been teaching many of the same things, and it’s blowing my mind. I feel a strong resonance with her story and her energy. I hope you’re following my instagram account where I’ve been sharing lots on my feed and my daily stories about the journey and all the sacred sites I’ve visited. Check that out at @visionary_lifestyle_guide.

Guys this pilgrimage to the Divine Feminine has been life-changing. I’m finally understanding why I’ve been called to Paris and the south of France for over 3 decades. I’ve discovered that Mary Magdalene spent a significant part of her life here in France, and that Paris is actually named for the Goddess Isis, and that Mary Magdalene was trained as a priestess in the temple of Isis. It’s said that beneath Notre Dame, in the very heart and center of Paris, is a temple of Isis. Check the name guys:Paris-par isis. This is why it’s so significant that Notre Dame burned recently. This event can be interpreted as a literal blowing off the roof of the patriarchy that has been dominating most religions and the world for the last 2000 years. The time of the Divine Feminine is upon us. Women are rising up like never before to claim their place in the world and deliver their gifts in service to Mother Earth and all her creatures. THIS is the shakti force that is turning the tides here on planet earth right now.

I am writing about this a lot so you will be the first to know when my two books are ready. And stay tuned for my upcoming season on Shakti Power, with interviews with some of the most intriguing female leaders and activists of our time. The Dalai Lama has said that the western woman will save the world, and I’m bringing you some stellar examples of these women who are living their lives in service to the greater good.

And this my beloveds, is what brings me to today's guest, as she, is one of these women.

Amisha Ghadiali, is an award-winning social entrepreneur whose career has included demanding roles in the political, sustainability and tech start-up worlds. She has combined managing a high pressure lifestyle with her deep knowledge of sustainable living, mindfulness and yoga. Her knowledge and experience in different industries makes it easy for her to connect to your daily world and bring that extra illumination which makes it all flow.

Her own “burn out” whilst “trying to save the world” led her into training as a yoga and meditation teacher, which in turn opened a giant rabbit hole deeper into the mystical realms. In addition to over 1000 hours of teacher training in Yoga & Meditation, she has trained as a priestess, reiki master and intuitive energy healer. She brings all this depth and her fascination with the relationship of our inner and outer worlds, to her work.

Amisha is a writer and speaker on all aspects of conscious and green living. She edited the collaborative book, The Future Is Beautiful – A Collection from Think Act Vote, coining the term Creative Activism and bringing together ideas and artwork from over two hundred contributors to inspire a brighter future.

She’s recently launched a membership portal called the Presence Collective and also has a podcast titled:The Future Is Beautiful . I see Amisha as an Eco Warrior and Visionary Activist. Amisha is like a rainbow, like me, with loads of interests and projects happening all at once.

I met her at Bali Spirit Festival a couple of years ago now, and continue to watch her from afar as she makes valuable contributions to the collective. In this conversation we discuss:

Mystical healing

Saving the world

Visionary Activism

The Environment

Eco Fashion

And even Politics

So make sure to check the show notes for links to all of her projects!

And now, on with the show! Enjoy and namaste

Greeting beloved rainbow warriors, earth lovers and sacred activists.I’m coming to you today from beautiful Bali. I thought this interview would be the perfect compliment to earth day week. And can we just talk about earth day for a minute? That’s EVERY DAY, right guys? But officially this is the 10th anniversary of Mother earth day, according to the UN.

The Resolution was introduced in 2009 by Bolivia and endorsed by over 50 member states. The term Mother Earth is used because it "reflects the interdependence that exists among human beings, other living species and the planet we all inhabit" Can I get an amen!?

So in celebration of so much of the world paying attention to this life or death reality, I thought it good to focus on Yoga for the earth today.

If you’ve been listening to the show for any amount of time, you know that I’m passionate about the environment and yoga, so what do you expect haha.

‘Now before I get to todays guest, I want to share a recent itunes review with you. Gina says”Magda is fabulous. Her podcast is so comprehensive of all things yogi, visionary activism etc. She interviews some INCREDIBLE people from all over the world and I am lucky to have found her work and learn from her.If you’re looking to learn something new or enhance what you already know, definitely listen. It’s my transportation listening go-to. Thank you Gina, I’m thrilled you’re getting so much value here. And to the rest of you, please write tour itunes review so I can share that on the show, and let’s get all people listening and awakening to the power of the yogic path to create positive change here on our beloved Mother Earth.

And one more thing my nature-loving peeps, I’m offering a yoga retreat in the south of France this August 2-9 where we’ll be doing yoga on the earth daily, among chateaus and sunflowers guys. No joke. This is the retreat of my dreams and it’s going to be a small group so if this calls you find all the info on my facebook page Visionary LIfestyle and Podcast or search the word sunflowers on my website at visionary-lifestyle.com

Ok! On to todays show and my favorite topic…...yoga for nature!

Philip Dickenson is an award winning producer/director who walked away from the TV industry to be an active humanitarian and environmentalist. In 2015 he created Yoga For Nature a non profit with the intention to inspire the global Yoga community to establish a new era of peace and love in the world.

Phil is also the founder of newly launched Forest Smoothie, the world’s first Café Conservation Project.

You’ll hear in the interview how I came across Phil's work at Bali Spirit Festival.

In this interview, Phil shares his personal journey to becoming a true yogi, or “a yogi all the time” as he puts it. This is a heartwarming story of one man’s journey of aligning his life with his values. He’s on a mission to raise awareness about the need for social change in regards to environmental, animal and human rights. One avenue for this is Yoga for Natures attempt to turn yoga studios into hubs for social change. Phil has created an Invitation to the global yoga community to take their practice off the mat.

Some of his merchandise includes slogans like My asana is vegan and Yoga can change the world.

So this is an opportunity for you to get involved by suggesting the studio you practice at to dedicate a class to Yoga for Nature. Or, if you’re s studio owner, you have the power to help your clientele get more engaged in true yoga by raising awareness about these issues and taking action .

His latest project is the forest smoothie, which plants a tree for every superfood smoothie sold. If you’re in the restaurant biz or frequenting conscious restaurants, this is an invitation for you to spread the word, make a difference and earn a bunch of good karma points while you’re at it..

I hope this interview sparks your activist heart and inspires you to take some action on behalf of Mother earth, the animals and the humans we share her with.

Ok so now onto todays show! Our guest today is Silvia Mordini. Silvia is a self proclaimed Yomad,Love Alchemist, and a Yogaprenuer.

Silvia Mordini is an internationally recognized Yoga Presenter. Her passion connects people to their own joyful potential. Born in Ecuador, proud of her Italian heritage and raised as a world traveler, Silvia developed a sense of global citizenship early on. In young adulthood she was run over by a car—a life changing accident that led her to discover the “Alchemy” of Yoga to heal and transform. A serial Yogapreneur, Silvia had a 13 year Human Resource career, owned 2 Yoga Studios for 10 years with over 9,000 students, founded Alchemy Tours, a Spiritual Adventure company and developed the 13 year old international Alchemy of Yoga Teacher Training School with 23 graduating classes of Love Alchemists. I met Silvia at the Bali Spirit Festival where she blew me away with her huge open heart and talk of her yomad adventures. This woman calls herself a love alchemist, and that’s precisely what she is.

Today’s guest is Ebony Smith aka The Ghetto Guru, world renowned yoga and mindfulness instructor and founder of Yoga N Da Hood (YNDH), a non profit organization dedicated to making wellness accessible to everyone. (in short they teach yoga in the hood) YNDH is one of the fastest growing non profits in Dallas, translating how wellness is implemented across cultural and social economic barriers.

Growing up in inner city Dallas, she knew first hand what it means to be at a disadvantage. She then learned the power of thought, and that what you think will truly cultivate the life you live.

Ebony is an inspiring example of how yoga can heal and transform your life. She went from getting fired from every job she’d ever had, an alcoholic, misfit; to traveling the world teaching yoga and mindfulness and inspiring others to be the greatest versions of themselves. From college drop out and pill popper to speaking and teaching at Harvard Medical School, Essence Festival, SXSW, Bali, Canada, Jamaica, and all over the USA. Contracted by Wanderlust, United Way Dallas, Texas Women College, Paul Quinn College, City of Dallas, DISD and other major corporation and institutions to motivate and inspire students, staff, human beings to be the greatest version of themselves.

From her website Ebony says:

I am a soul that continues to flourish through all, I am the flower in the concrete, the bloom in the dead of winter. I am truly your reflection. Changing my thoughts changed my life and continues to everyday in every moment in and out of time. It is a powerful tool for living the greatest version of your life. These tools and strategies are taught, not birth given, allow me the honor of creating a space for growth and well being for you and yours.

I hope you enjoy this interview and getting a taste of the enthusism for yoga that turned Ebony’s life around, and continues to be the gift that keeps on giving as her business is growing quickly, meeting the needs of s sorely underserved community.

I was honored to meet her and spend this time with her at the Bali SPirit Festival.

My interview with Gwyn Williams at Bali Spirit festival discussing the 3 Treasures.

Greetings beloved rainbow warriors. I’m coming to you today from Goa india where I’ve been for a couple months now teaching and learning and teaching again. What a blessing to be here spending time in the nourishing sea

Gwyn has been teaching his entire adult life. Earlier as a physical education teacher, martial arts instructor and later as a yoga teacher and Zenthai facilitator. His passion for alternative therapies and connecting his heart with his hands led to him teaching Zen Shiatsu at his created Mt. Ninderry Healing Centre in 1999. Since this initial class he has become a national and international teacher of his own form of bodywork/movement and awareness he calls Zenthai.

I have to share from his website this explanation of what zenthai is to give you an understanding of who Gywn is.

On Zenthai …

‘On the surface we may see a creative form of bodywork integrating techniques and philosophy from Zen Shiatsu, Thai massage and osteopathy. However, at its core is an invitation to freedom. Freedom not only of the structural and energetic bodies but also, if we are adventurous enough, also the mental and emotional. Experiencing true freedom is not about ‘taking on’ anything new but more-so about letting go of the traps and blockages within our body/mind that prevent us from experiencing our true nature – joyful and free. It becomes the focused intention for both giver and receiver using tools such as touch, breath, movement, awareness and honest self inquiry that is not confined to a yoga mat or futon but each moment of our daily life.’

I find Gwyn to be an experienced and passionate advocate and educator for wellness in both energy and form.

He’s a bright light himself and I’m so proud to share this uplifting AND INFORMATION PACKED EPISODE WITH YOU.

Today Gwyn walks us through what in Chinese medicine is known as the 3 treasures. This is really useful information to grasp and find ways to integrate into your daily life for better health and vitality. Gwyn does give some practical tips for cultivating and caring for your three treasures so make sure you have a notebook.

Check out the show notes in itunes to get links to Gwyn’s website and schedule.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors,

I’m coming to you today from the amazing Auroville India. If you missed my last show and introduction to this brand new season, season 8 of the Visionary Lifestyle Podcast please do and get yourself up to date with where I am and the incredible experience I’m having here.

So now This is our first show of season 8 and I couldn’t be more excited to be offering you this particular interview, as it’s been a long time coming.

Our guest today is Insiya Rasiwala Finn.

She is a Yoga, Ayurveda and Wellness expert who grew up in Bombay, India with Yoga and Ayurveda shaping her life. She is passionate about sharing the transformative impact of these wisdom practices with inspiration, freshness, poetry, and joy; embodying her life as a mama, yogini and community connector in our modern world.

Insiya has crafted a life of globe-trotting en famille, with her partner Eoin Finn and their son Ananda, who she says is one of her greatest teachers, as well as living the simple, slow life when at home.

You can Follow Insiya on her website YOGUE.ca as she continues to seek out the greenest, healthiest and beauty-full ways to live, cook, inspire, travel and play: in the ocean, with words on paper and on the yoga mat.

She has been featured in the pages of Yoga Journal, Peppermint Magazine and has contributed as a travel wellness writer to Conde Nast Traveler, Asia Spa, and The Globe and Mail.

I met Insiya a couple of years ago at my first Bali Spirit festival when I interviewed her husband Eoin Finn, so go back and catch his interview if you haven’t heard it yet. These two are a serious yogi power couple! Insiya and I connected about yoga, wellness, and Ayurveda, and we set a mutual intention to do this interview but we flew in different directions before we got the chance at that time, and finally came back together to do it after the next Bali Spirit Festival.

This is actually the last interview I did in Bali, but am starting the season with it because it’s honestly the one I’m most excited about right now, especially because I am doing this deep dive on Ayurveda at the moment. My panchakarma retreat in Rishikesh, India is coming up in March, and I’m launching a video series in my facebook group later this month to talk about all this Ayurveda business too. At this point, I have integrated so much Ayurveda in my daily life and find it so incredibly useful that I feel deeply called to share this information with you.

In this interview, Insiya walks us through so much practical information so be sure to have your notebooks out. She covers the doshas, recommended daily practices as well as which yoga poses to do for which dosha and just tons more yogic wisdom.

She is a powerhouse of knowledge and it is my pleasure and honor to bring you this incredibly useful content.

Follow her on Instagram, and her website to stay tuned in and keep learning from this brilliant soul.

Check the show notes for links to where to find her, and if you’re not in my facebook community yet, go to Visionary LIfetsyle and Podcast Community on Facebook to get access to a library of informative videos about conscious eating, yoga, and meditation.

And if you’re interested in hanging our in Rishikesh with me in March and being lovingly guided through a traditional panchakarma experience, search the word India on my website at visionary-lifetsyle.com

And don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and follow my stories to see my behind the scenes pics of my trips around India and really all over this glorious planet.

Greetings from Bali my beloved rainbow Warriors! The monsoon season is upon us and today I saw some of the heaviest rain I’ve seen in my life, and that is saying a lot as I grew up in Hawaii :)

And speaking of Hawaii, today’s guest and I have that in common, which makes it pretty funny that we had to go all the way to Rishikesh India to meet each other.

Our guest today is Katie Fisher. Katie is an Artist, activist, musician, healer, a practitioner of Chinese medicine, global traveler, facilitator of sound healing.

I met Katie at the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh. I was immediately drawn to her sound healing classes and her set of rainbow wands, or tuning forks as they’re called actually.

I attended some of her classes and became more an more intrigued with the techniques she was teaching, and how she was connecting the practices to yoga.

We touch on a lot of different topics in the interview like about yoga, Marma points and Acupuncture, the chakras, the Solfeggio frequencies, Cymatics, sound healing, medicine resonance, and Vibration as a healing frequency. Katie shares some of her toys with us so listen closely and please do your best to ignore the background noise. We sat down in a quiet place or this one and soon after got flooded with some noisy neighbors, so please bear with it because later in the interview we get to some really juicy nuggets you don’t want to miss..

Katie has a sound healing school in Hawaii called http://hawaiihealingsoundschool.org/.

If you’ve been trying to make sense of all the talk about frequencies. Like 432Hz and the Schuman frequency in music these days, you will get some answers in this show.

Don’t forget to check the show notes for links to Katie's website,hawaiihealingsoundschool.org, and also a great youtube video ink of another informative interview with Katie.

And, if you haven’t jumped into my community group on facebook yet, you are invited. I’ve really activated that group and am doing daily lives sessions in there, teaching all kinds of visionary lifestyle topics, and even doing some live podcast interviews in there. That’s the Visionary Lifestyle and Podcast Community Group on facebook. Please do check it out and come say hi.

https://web.facebook.com/groups/visionaryyogaandlifestyle/

I hope you find some inspiration and practical tips and maybe even experience some sound healing through the tones that Katie shares.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors,

I’m coming to you from beautiful Bali, Indonesia today. Happy Samhain, If you’re not familiar with this special day, listen up. "Samhain involves the celebration and festival of death and transformation. It occurs in late October and early November and is most popularly known as Halloween, All Hallows Eve, All Saints & All Souls including Day of the Dead. This is also a celebration for the new year in other practices of the world. Like many cultures celebrating the New Year is a time for letting go of the old and looking ahead to the new. It marks the end of the harvest season. "

It is also said that the veil is thinner at this time, giving us access to our dearly departed loved ones. So beloveds, if it resonates with you, light a candle tonight and invite a connection with someone you loved who passed on to the other side.

And one more quick announcement, I have just a couple of spots left for the 30 day Visionary Activation Challenge that I announced all over my social media this week. I am calling in a couple women, I think I have two spots left, who are motivated to activate their highest potential, to work directly with me over the course of 30 days. I’m offering this program at a ridiculously low introductory price just through the end of the year. Schedule a quick call with me to learn more, by going to the services tab on my website. That’s at visionary-lifestyle.com or, check the show notes for a link directly to all the info about the program. https://bit.ly/2OhjNIi

It’s basically like having me to yourself for a month so I can share all my activation secrets from my toolkit with you, through a custom-tailored plan that will support your unique needs, challenges and goals. Now on to today’s show.

Krishnamurthy Mohan Raj is a yoga instructor and the Founder and Director of Namaste Mysore Yoga Culture Communication Center in (China). He is influenced by traditional yoga culture in his teaching style, focusing on the detailed journey of yoga culture and vinyasa.

Krishnamurthy Mohan Raj started practicing yoga at an early age under the guidance of his mother and brother. His practice moved into its next, deeper level when he started teaching yoga at the age of 14 in his birth place of Mysore. In 2005 got the opportunity to promote yoga in China, and off he went and has been there ever since. He is now based in China, focusing on his workshops and the promotion of yoga culture, encouraging his students to not only practice yoga, but to feel the magic of yoga.

I met him at the International Yoga Festival in 2017, and finally, we got to sit down and have this chat a full year later again at the International Yoga Festival. We enjoyed a great conversation about many so aspects of yoga. I think you’ll really find some inspiration in this one, guys. Krishnamurthy has a really interesting story and a real passion for true yoga.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors,
I’m coming to you today from Bali, Indonesia. It’s amazing to be here eating the nourishing tropical fruits, watching sunsets on the beach, and connecting with so many activated rainbow warriors here.
Bali really is one of those activated places on the planet, no question. Some say it’s the best place in the world to do healing work, and I believe that. Everything about being here feels nourishing to me.
If you haven’t listened to my episodes recorded here at the Bai SPirit Festival, go back and listen to those shows. They’ll give you a real taste of what it’s like to be on the ground here.
And coming up after this season from India will be another season of the Bali Spirit Festival, so stay tuned for that.
In fact, the last time I saw our guest, was exactly there, even though I met her in Rishikesh India.
Our guest today is Pravbavati Dwabha. Dwabha, as she’s called, is an icon of the Rishikesh community. I used to see her around and wonder who she was. She definitely makes an impression. Before we met, each time I saw her I noticed that she seemed to be well known and respected, and as it turned out, she is the force behind this amazing charity I kept hearing about, know as Ramana's Garden.
Dwabha has an amazing story and is the embodiment of a karma yogi, living her purpose, taking action to help others. And not just any others, but the poorest of the poor children. Each child that comes through the gate there, arrives because they would be at risk of either being murdered, forced into prostitution, child labor, begging, starvation or total neglect
Dwabha is an inspiration to many, and I have no question, has not only dramatically improved, but also saved the lives of many many children.
What she has created with her organic farms, cafe and school, is a testament to her huge compassionate heart, and provides a template, for the difference one person can make, when they follow their inspiration and put it into ACTION.
Karma yoga is the yoga of selfless action, actions associated with being of benefit to others. This is SEVA, the act of being in service. If this is a novel concept to you, please go back and listen to the first episode of this podcast, where I guide you through the 7 steps of activating your highest potential, because seva, is one of them.
As yogis, and as humans on this earth, it is our responsibility to take of ourselves, so we can take care of each other, to make ourselves healthy so that we can be a beneficial presence on the planet. And our guest is a wonderful role model for this. As I see it, she is fully in her dharma, her purpose, and her actions, are an inspiration. She is a busy woman and I was lucky to get her alone to ask her how it all began and where it’s going in the future.
Please do check out the website, and lend your support to this very worthy project. And if you find yourself in Rishikesh, don’t miss the chance to go visit Ramana’s garden. Your heart will be blown wide open, I promise.
And watch my instagram feeds for some pics of Ramana’s garden, taken the same day as we did this interview.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors,

I’m coming to you today from Bali, Indonesia.

Did you catch my facebook live today making kitchari here?

You can find it on my Visionary Lifestyle and Podcast page so go and check it out. Most of the essential ingredients are not available here in Bali so we had to make do with what we had but man oh man did it turn out great anyway. So delicious and easy to make! I’m doing a 3 day kitchari cleanse at the moment here where that’s the only thing I’ll eat for a few days and give my digestion a rest so my body can do some cleansing. It’s really the most delicious way to cleanse. Om yum!

Check my FB live and my Visionary Lifestyle Guide instagram story for more on that. Great timing for that one too since today’s topic is all about the Ayurvedic cleanse known as panchakarma, and kitchari is the food of choice during that journey of self-love.

Today’s interview is with Dr. Maurya, my personal Ayurvedacharya in India.

This is Dr. Maury’s second time on the show, so if you’re new to Ayurveda or didn’t hear his first episode on the show last year, make sure to go back and listen to that to get a basic understanding of what Ayurveda is. Check the show notes for a link to that show. Season 2 Ayurveda

Dr.Maurya is an Ayurveda Doctor, also known as an Ayurvedacharya, he’s a specialist in detox and rejuvenation, also known as Panchakarma , and has degrees in Holistic Health, Yoga & Naturopathy.

In 2005, he established an Ayurveda Panchakarma center at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, in Rishikesh, India. There, he’s managing and providing all Ayurvedic treatments, Naturopathy treatments and Consultations. He travels extensively delivering lectures on Ayurveda, and leads training in Ayurveda, naturopathy and panchakarma at his center in Rishikesh.

So check it out guys, This interview was done just after I completed my last 8 days of Panchakarma with him in Rishikesh last Spring. I’ve made a commitment to myself to make this an annual event on my birthday as a way to honor my body temple.

Next spring I’ll be bringing a group with me to Rishikesh to experience this with me. We’ll do 10 days of panchakarma , practice yoga and meditation, eat healing food, visit spiritual masters for spiritual talks known as satsangs and soak in the ancient magic that is India. Oh my gosh I can not wait!

If this calls you shoot me and email right away and let me know so I can hold a spot for you. It will be a very intimate group so don’t delay.

My email is guide@visionary-lifestyle.com

Ok so now without further adieu let’s get on with this show.

“The answer to climate change is the yoga of the earth”

Greetings Rainbow Warriors, It’s me Magda Freedom Rod It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to the first episode of Season 7 of the Visionary Lifestyle Podcast.

I’m coming to your day from Bali Indonesia. Please listen to the previous episode for an introduction to everything that’s coming up this season.

Right now, I am so excited to jump right into today’s show. Our guest today is Dr. Vandana Shiva. She is an Indian scholar, environmental activist, food sovereignty advocate, and alter-globalization author who has written more than 20 books..[2]She received the Right Livelihood Award in 1993, an honor known as an "Alternative Nobel Prize".

Vandana Shiva has spent much of her life in the defense and celebration of biodiversity and indigenous knowledge. She has worked to promote biodiversity in agriculture to increase productivity, nutrition, farmer's incomes and It is for this work she was recognized as an 'Environmental Hero' by Time magazine in 2003. She is also enemy #1 of the GMO giant Monsanto.

I first met Dr.Vandana Shiva in person in my hometown of Ojai, California where she was presenting an earth day speech at Krishnamurti’s school there. I had also heard her speak and heard of her and her work prior to that, and I’ve got to say, that the first time I heard her speak, she became my shero. I would even go so far as to call her the conscious eating queen. This powerhouse of a woman has been fighting for our food system for decades. She is enemy #1 of Monsanto, the corporation who now owns over 90% of our seeds and is intent on owning our food system which would, of course, give them control of our population. Monsanto, of course, is the producer of most GMO seeds which are poisoning our bodies and our precious mama earth.

I was fortunate enough to hear Dr. Shiva speak two years in a row at the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh, and was honored to be invited to her organic biodiverse farm named Navdanya, for an eco-feminism retreat after the festival.

This was a tremendously inspirational trip. I can still remember waking up in this pristine ecosystem, with the early morning rays of the sun shining down on the fields. The birds were singing, the butterflies were everywhere, and I could feel the health and vitality of the land in every cell of my being. I taught yoga to some of the students who were there on internships and attended all of the doctor's lectures on eco-feminism. We ate meals together all harvested from the land there and surrounding farms. 1000% organic, and vegetarian of course.

I was blessed enough to get this one on one time with her.

Our conversation starts as a continuation of a chat we started that morning, about her bindi. Have you ever noticed Vandana Shiva’s bindi is huge compared to the ones you usually see?

I love everything about this conversation.

In this interview we discuss:

consciousness

world hunger

eco feminism

biodiversity

seed freedom

capitalist patriarchy

conscious eating

This episode is packed with the wisdom of this tremendous activist that has dedicated her entire life to protecting your and our food system.

I also recorded some of her other lectures that I will put out as bonus episodes so be on the lookout for those.

Check the show notes for links to Dr. Shiva’s websites and books. Find those at visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast

I deeply enjoyed producing this show for you, I’m really so proud of this interview, and I hope you get some inspiration from it and will join us on our common mission of practicing Yoga for the Earth

Greetings Rainbow Warriors! Today I’m on the move. I took a ferry from Croatia across the Adriatic sea to Italy last night, and am making my way through Italy on a train now as this is going live. I’m heading to Sicily for my Nature and Yoga retreat and I sure wish you were coming! It starts on September 7th so if you’re feeling spontaneous and want to join for yoga, nature, conscious eating and seeing some incredible ancient sites, email me right now and we’ll squeeze you in!

Visionary Lifestyle Retreats and Events

Being a changemaker on the move is a life I’ve chosen, and if it calls you, you too can live a location independent freedom lifestyle, and fulfill your purpose at the same time. Yes, it takes some planning and might even include a steep learning curve, but witnessing people like our guest today, sure keeps the inspiration to make it happen, very high.

Our guest today is Stella Roman Airoldi. Stella is a powerhouse of a young woman. She holds two masters degrees in human rights, and left a promising career as a lawyer, to travel the world and empower some of the least empowered people on the planet.

Stella is the founder of 22STARS Jewellery and the 22STARS Foundation, as a digital nomad with a social mission she calls herself a ”Social Impact Nomad". She wants to inspire and help others to make a social impact with their business and when they travel. Hence Stella offers one on one coaching sessions, gives group workshops and talks at various international conferences. Stella has two masters degrees, one in International Law and one in Human Rights and Democratization. During her studies she focused on entrepreneurship and in 2013 she made the switch from working in the human rights/ development aid field into using fashion and design to help people out of poverty by making sure that they can provide for themselves.

Stella's studies brought her to Africa where she interviewed refugees in Kampala, Uganda. Her creativity and wish to help the war affected people have been a direct incentive to establish 22STARS Jewellery. Impressed by the artistic skills of the women and deeply touched by their stories, Stella decided to help them design, market and sell their products on the international market. Two years ago she expanded this product based model by creating the 22STARS FOUNDATION, which enables more than 300 children in Uganda to go to school and helps 55 families with small business trainings and microloans to become self-sustainable.

Stella spends a couple of months a year in Uganda. When she is not there she loves being with her family in Europe and her friends from the digital nomad community.

I met Stella at the DNX conference in Lisbon where she was presenting a talk last year, and fortunately, we shared an apartment with a bunch of other digital nomads so I got to spend a fair amount of time with her. I saw her work ethic, I saw her passion, and I was and am impressed with what she’s created.

As a former fashion buyer for my Visionary Boutique in Los Angeles, her jewelry line is 100% the sort of thing I would have been really excited to stock in my shop. A product that is not merely for fashion and consumption sake, but as a statement and practical support for something you believe in. For example, the sale of one necklace provides 5 meals in Uganda.

Stella is a living breathing example of right livelihood. This is a concept I bring up a lot on this show, and one I want to impress on you, as it was impressed on me from my spiritual community in Los Angles a couple decades ago. This concept has been a major driver in my life, and if I can inspire even 1 person in this direction, that feels really rewarding for me.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors,

I’m coming to you today from Croatia and this will be my last show from here. Croatia has been a mixed bag for me. No shortage of lodging crisis’, crazy situations, or tourists since I am here in high season. Like I said on the last episode, I learned my lesson about that, and hopefully, my loss is your gain.

On the upside, I was blessed enough to do some island hopping and see and swim in some of the most beautiful clear water I’ve ever seen. I even made it to the beach that was voted best beach in Europe, and that was a highlight for sure. Getting into nature always sets me straight, how about you? That mama nature sure is soul medicine. Don’t ya think? Works for me, every time. Something about swimming in the sea with light streams shining down through the water just soothes my soul. I am discovering my inner mermaid, big time.

So now, on to today's show. Our guest today is Nicole Seelinger.

Nicole's purpose is to empower businesses and people everywhere she goes. She’s a visionary that aims to strengthen entrepreneurs by bringing them clarity and strategies towards their vision and future trends, so they can achieve their fullest potential to create a positive impact on society. Moreover, she’s focused on adding social and sustainable value to the projects she works with, at the same time as working on the business model to diversify and improving revenue streams for greater growth and impact.

She creates Custom made workshops using Collective Intelligence tools

to creatively solve problems, enhance innovation and find a holistic strategy to achieve business goals.
She’s also empowering people's mindset with workshop subjects such as: Overcoming limiting beliefs, and Creating positive change

And for those who want to achieve their best selves: Nicole helps to Identify their main characteristics and passions to create a unique and personalized career or business.

So what this means guys, is if you’re an entrepreneur, or dare I say, aspiring digital nomad, Nicole is someone you want to know and maybe work with.

I caught up with her at the DNX conference in Lisbon last year and fortunately, we got time to sit down so I could pick her brain about all she’s up to.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors. I’m coming to you from Split, Croatia today. I’ve been here island hopping and soaking up the sun and sea in between getting these episodes out and planning my upcoming retreats in Sicily and Bali. Make sure to check the show notes for details on those, and please do join us!

Our guest today is Krishnatakis. Krishnatakis, originally from Greece, has been teaching Thai Yoga massage, yoga and qi gong since 1998, having lived and studied in Thailand and India. He is a senior massage teacher at the Sunshine Network, his center in Greece. He is passionate about organic farming, Chinese medicine, cooking and nutrition, and incorporates aspects of yoga, meditation and qi gong into all his courses. His base is at Sunshine House, however he often travels abroad to teach and also study. He is renown for his unique, spontaneous and passionate way of teaching as well as his generous spirit and open heart. When he is not teaching, he is with his three beautiful children or soaking in hot spring waters.

I met Krishntakis at the Barcelona Yoga Conference . I took a couple of his classes there and was drawn to his open hearted friendly personality, and after learning so many wonderful and useful techniques in his classes, I decided to interview him. His approach is warm and sacred, two of my favorite things :)

I found his high vibes contagious and enjoyed learning from him as he dropped some reminders of things we all need to think about more.

I hope you enjoy it.

Sicily in September is a Nature and Yoga Retreat where we’ll visit ancient sites and natural wonders on Sicily, sail on an actual pirate ship, explore secret beaches, practice yoga daily and learn Conscious eating recipes from my ecourse. Bali in October is a 2 week Wellness Workation for conscious creatives and entrepreneurs or remote workers to co-live and work with a group of like-minded people while practicing daily yoga and conscious eating, and enjoying special balinese traditions like a water temple blessing, and snorkeling around some of the last remaining healthy coral reefs in the world, and even swimming with manta rays guys. Greetings Rainbow Warriors,

I’m coming to you from Provence today, and sadly this is my last day here. This American visa situation is really hindering my European travel goals ha. Why can’t we just live in a world without borders, right? One world people. One love, one world, are you with me? But alas, on this yogic path, it’s One day at a time, one breath at a time and by the grace of God go I. It’s all yoga.

I need to exit Shengen now for a month, so I can come back for the month of September, when I’ll be offering a retreat in Sicily, Italy the second week of September, and then offering some workshops and speaking at the DNX Global Digital Nomad Festival in Lisbon at the end of the month. Check my Visionary Lifestyle & Podcast facebook page for details on this events, and check the show notes here for a discount code for the DNX Global conference. As it turns out, being a yoga teacher is one of those jobs you can do on the road while traveling, and boy do I have a hallelujah for that :)

SO now about today’s show…

Today’s guest is David Lurey. I really enjoyed this conversation with this passionate and experienced teacher of yoga, true and transformational yoga.David is an experienced 500 hour yaga alliance certified yoga teacher. He was introduced to Yoga in 1996 as a way to tone his body and relieve work related stress. Using those as a foundation for building an Asana practice, the other limbs of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga began to unfold leading him to the path of teaching transformational Yoga.

David lives in Palma de Mallorca, Spain co-creating courses and trainings to ‘Open Consciousness and Vitality’ with his beloved wife, Mirjam Wagner.

Using various spiritual teachings as guidelines for classes, David takes students through opening and often challenging Asanas while encouraging the magical power of breath and mental stillness to cultivate the true loving nature of the heart. This appears in several styles of Yoga that David shares in his teachings:

Mindful Spirited Vinyasa with attention to the physiology, anatomy and alignment of the poses combined with energetic presence.

AcroYoga for building connection, trust and communication between humans.

Green Yoga as a journey and exploration to connect to the planet, cosmos and all the non-human beings on Earth.

Bhakti Yoga for the Devotional spirit…

David’Bhakti practice takes form mostly in the singing of Kirtan and Mantras but is also connected to acts of kindness and being of service.

In addition to teaching Asana classes, David brings a heartfelt passion for music and singing into all his programs. He has recorded 3 CDs and performed countless events where music, community and singing come together in ecstatic bliss.

I met David at the Barcelona Yoga Conference last summer. I took his class and knew instantly that he has a lot of valuable information to share.I was so happy we got the time to sit and have this conversation, so he could share a fraction of his vast yogic wisdom with you.

he goes in to santosh’a and tapas, which is exactly the yoga I’m called to practice when I look at my visa situation and being forced to leave the Shengen territory. I’m practicing both sides of the two sided coin David mentioned, and you’ll have to listen to the show to get what I mean.

As usual you can find David’s contact information in the show notes on visionary-lifetsyle.com/podcast

Greetings Rainbow Warriors, and welcome to the first episode of season 6 of the Visionary Lifestyle Podcast.I’m coming to you today from Provence, in the south of France. I’ve been in France for about 6 weeks now, and am more convinced than ever, that’s it ‘s one of my power points on the planet. The energy and landscape here, along with the lifestyle and beautiful people, stir my soul. One of the beautiful things about this digital nomad lifestyle is the opportunity to discover where we feel good. After all, everything is energy, and when we feel good somewhere, obviously life is more pleasurable, and usually more productive and even purposeful.

So now onto today’s show.

Today’s guest is Jackie Knechtel.

Jackie Knechtel, M.A., is an executive coach/consultant, behavioral therapist, international speaker and pioneer in the area of flow. She is the co-founder of the Flow Consciousness Institute which holds cutting edge trainings, retreats, leads workshops and delivers transformational experiences worldwide. Jackie is also the co-author of the forthcoming book Flow: The Art of Effortless Living and is actively shifting consciousness on a global scale through her speaking, coaching practice and by blending science and spirituality into practical tools for living an enlightened life. Jackie has a background as an autism specialist with clients in NYC, Beverly Hills, Dubai and Saudi Arabia. She serves as an advisor for the Eve Branson Foundation, NomadX and AutismCodes and is currently working to revolutionize the therapy delivery model for special needs children and their caregivers with her vision, Spectra.

As you’ll hear in the interview, Jackie and I met at the Digital Nomad, or DNX Conference, in Lisbon last year. We connected pretty much instantly, and I’m super grateful we met and made the time for this interview. We cover a lot here guys.

This is truly an episode for the flow curious. We talk about effortless action, epigenetics, and the definition of flow and not only how to achieve it, but how to maintain it. This episode is rich with ideas that will leave you thinking about your beliefs and how to shift them.

I hope you find some nuggets of inspiration here, as well as some tools to help you get into and stay in your own state of flow.

As usual, check out the show notes for links to Jackie’s work and the things we discuss in this episode. That’s at visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast

You’ll also find there links to the DNX Festival and a discount code if you are called to join us there this September. I’ll be giving a presentation on Wellness on the Road, and I really hope to see you there.

Enjoy and namaste

Beinvenue from France. I’ve just left Auvergne where I was immersed for over 3 weeks in a 6000 acre forest leading a Wilderness Wellness experience at a 300 year old ecolodge. This area is known as, in addition to being the “green heart of france”, the land of the volcanos , and is so rich with prana, delicious spring water and deep wilderness as far as the eye can see.

This experience brought me a deep connection with nature, and so many unexpected blessings, including, meeting today’s guest, Julien Peron.

Julien is a filmmaker among many other things. Using his own values such as self-awareness, curiosity and open-mindedness, since childhood, this 39-year-old entrepreneur has nurtured and molded these qualities from a young age, and respects others and the environment. In his childhood Julien played sports, and became interested in astrology and the tarot. He developed his strengths in Martial Arts for more than 14 years, with Kung-fu, pushing his passion very far to become champion of France in 1999. Then with the encouragement of his family, at the age of 12, he went to the United States for a month immersed in a Wisconsin family. Today, he puts his pocket money aside to go regularly with his backpack to discover other countries and other cultures. His explorations of the surrounding world lead to more inward explorations, nourished by a lot of reading and other discoveries, including aspects of human psychology, well-being, personal development and alternative medicine, as well as economics, politics and sociology.

He’s been in the fields of well being, ecology, marketing and communication for 16 years.

  • Member of the parliament of entrepreneurs of the future

  • Member of eco-responsible travelers and tour operators (VVE)

  • Partner of the Good Planet Foundation and the French Ecotourism Association

I met Julien at the Instants D’Absolute Ecolodge in France where I was teaching yoga ,and he came to screen his film “C’est quoi le bonheur pour vous?” or , “What is Happiness for you?”

I found myself instantly uplifted just by the title of his film, and over the following days, found this question having a lasting impact in my mind. As I was teaching a yoga class the following morning, with Julien in attendance, I had the idea to invite him for this interview, to dive deeper into his film, and this important question.

Through this conversation I learned that Julien has a second film almost completed, and a big goal to build a school. It’s not just any school he wants to build, but a School of Life, for parents, students, and teachers, learn the alternative education that is missing in most schools, and the part that our societies so sorely need in order to find that happiness we’re always talking about.

I hope you enjoy this conversation and find some inspiration and tools here to support you on your happiness journey.

Check the show notes for a trailer of the film, and links on how to see it, as well as Julien’s other projects.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors!

I’m still in the forest in Auvergne in what’s known as the “green heart” of France. Truly, we’re in the land of the volcanoes here drinking the pristine spring water and enjoying the views of the seemingly endless green rolling hills. I’ve been walking barefoot on the earth here, teaching yoga, and exhaling in this magnificent raw natural environment.

I feel so blessed that I’ll be here teaching yoga on the 4th International Yoga Day on the Solstice, June 21st. We’ll be having a solstice ceremony and practicing yoga, really in unison with hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. You can look for a local event in your area to join the celebration, and if you have never practiced yoga, I invite you to take the initiative on this day, to join in the collective global energy of this practice that has proven to bring more health and balance to the body , as well as peace and and expansion to the mind and Spirit.

wow, I’m just so grateful for the practice of yoga because I witness every single day how many gifts it has brought to my life. I sincerely hope that this show is a source of inspiration to you, to start or deepen your personal practice. It is the life path that continually lights my way, and it’s the gift that keeps on giving.

So now, on to todays’ show. I’m so happy to introduce you to today’s guest, Morgan Gaignon. She’s the chef of a little restaurant in Paris called Sol Semilla. Gratefully, I discovered this place by chance as I was walking down the street , and the deeper I looked, the more I liked what I was finding.

Sol Semilla is a French brand of superfoods from a fully integrated chain, from seed to plate, and they’ve opened their organic, vegan, gluten free restaurant to nourish as well as teach their customers how to cook with and use the superfoods. The food there is super high vibration “soul food” always made with that all important and delicious ingredient of love. It’s an educational initiative as well as a restaurant, based in good intentions. They also have a youtube channel full of videos teaching people how to use superfoods, and how they contribute to better health.

I was really so impressed with what I found there. We did the interview in the restaurant, so you’ll get the feel for the place with the background noise.

I really urge you to check out their website, and their Youtube channel, and next time you find your self in Paris, don’t miss the chance to discover this delicious food and marinate in the high vibe atmosphere they’ve created.

You’ll hear us in the discussion talking about a word:totum, which at the time I was unfamiliar with. I’ve since researched it and learned that in essence it’s that philosophy of :the sum of the different aspects, being more than the individual parts, but this time, in relation to medicinal plants. What this means is that when we consume the entire plant, we’re getting the synergistic benefit, rather than consuming an isolated nutrient, which doesn’t manage to deliver the same level of nutrition.

And, just so you know, the mysterious berry we discuss, I’ve come to learn is what I know as the golden berry. If you were at my last presentation at The Lightning in a Bottle Festival, you tasted that inside the chia pudding recipe I made, along with gogi berries. These little berries pack a deep nutrient punch, and I urge you to discover them yourself if you’re not already familiar.

You can visit the Sol Semilla website to learn more about all the wonderful superfoods they are sharing with their customers, and the world.

Meeting people and places like this really lifts my heart. It’s inspiring to see this passion for health and well being , through the use of conscious eating, being embraced and shared, around the world. The focus on education here I think, is an integral piece of what we, as a shared humanity need to support and grow greater health, together.

This place is definitely, 100% conscious eating approved, and I can’t wait to visit again!

I hope you enjoy the interview and find some inspiration to give more attention to the food you’re consuming, and how you can nourish your body temple in the best way possible, to activate YOUR highest potential, and support you in delivering your unique gifts to the world.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors,

I’m still in this massive forest in France and waking up with such profound gratitude each day that I’m living this yomad lifestyle and sharing yoga all over the world. Are you following my instagram feed yet? Have you joined my Visionary Lifestyle and Podcast page and group yet? The community is growing and we want you to be a part of it!

Check the show notes for link to my accounts and please do keep in touch. I love hearing from you and answering your questions so please keep them coming.

I truly hope you’re enjoying the show and sharing it with those you think could benefit from it!

Today’s guest is yoga legend Sharon Gannon.

Sharon is a 21st-century Renaissance woman, an animal rights and vegan activist and a world-renowned yogini, perhaps best known as the founder, along with David Life, of the Jivamukti Yoga Method. She is also an accomplished writer, dancer, painter, musician and chef. Sharon has devoted many years exploring the role of diet in promoting physical, emotional and mental well-being as well as spiritual development. She lives in a 125-acre wild forest sanctuary in Woodstock, NY.

She is a pioneer in teaching yoga as spiritual activism and is credited for making yoga cool and hip—relating ancient teachings of yoga to the modern world. Sharon's book Yoga and Vegetarianism has been called the "seminal" work on the subject, exploring the relationship of veganism to the teachings of yoga.

Sharon is a also a musician and is a featured vocalist on many CDs.She has produced numerous yoga-related DVDs and is the author of several books on yoga. Her latest offering is Simple Recipes for Joy: More than 200 Delicious Vegan Recipes, a beautifully illustrated cookbook with recipes that are featured in the Jivamuktea Café in NYC.

Sharon's writing has also appeared in numerous publications.

I met Sharon at The International Yoga Day at the United Nations in New York last year, where she was teaching a class. I was moved by many of the words she shared, so I caught up with her a few days later at the Jivamukti school near Union Square, that she founded with her husband David Life.

We talked yoga and she spelled out the ideal yogi diet. Sharon has a fresh take on the subject, really breaking it down from a yogic perspective. I learned so much in this conversation, and I hope you do too.

I urge you to read her book Yoga and Vegetarianism as a follow up to listening to this show. If you consider yourself a yogi or on the yogic path at all, I’d say this is required reading.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors!

I’m still in the middle of a forest in France, and ready for you to join me here in this Widerness Wellness Experience through June 23rd, anytime it’s convenient for you for as few or as many days as you wish. We’re in a 300 year old eco lodge and spa in the forest, surrounded by pristine nature, and I’m teaching yoga here twice a day.

Check the show notes or my Visionary Lifestyle and Podcast Page for details on that.

Our guest today is one of my sheros, the one and only, Seane Corn.

As a leading voice of Yoga and social change, Seane has been featured in countless media platforms across the globe. She has been seen on the cover of over 30 magazines and utilizes her national platform to bring awareness to global humanitarian issues.

In 2005, she was named “National Yoga Ambassador” for YouthAIDS, and in 2013 was given the “Global Green International Environmental Leadership Award.” Since 2007, she has been training leaders of activism through her co-founded organization Off the Mat, Into the World®.

Seane has spent time in the US, India, Cambodia, Haiti and Africa working with communities in need- teaching yoga, providing support for child labor and educating people about HIV/AIDS prevention. Her self-authored dvds are available through Gaiam and Yoga Journal, as well as her most recent groundbreaking 3-dvd set “The Yoga of Awakening” through Sounds True. She is currently working on her first book.

I’m so excited to bring you this interview with one of my biggest sheroes! I met Seane back in 2011 when I invited her to join me teaching yoga in Los Angeles on 11/11/11 during the Occupy protest on the lawn at City Hall.

She showed up in spades on that day, bringing her whole tribe from Off the Mat Into the World as well as organizing all the top yoga teachers in LA to join us. It was a phenomenal day that I’ll never forget. Make sure to check out the show notes for pics of that.

I’ve interviewed Seane several times for different publications over the years because she stands, so firmly, for all the things I deeply care about. She is karma yoga in action.

She is a huge role model for me and so many others.

We recorded this interview last year in New York City at the United Nations on International Yoga Day where Seane was teaching a class to celebrate the occasion, with all my Rishikesh yoga tribe on site too. It was a truly spectacular day to be a yogi!

And guys, we’re almost at that time again. This Summer Solstice, June 21st, will be the 4th International Day of Yoga! I’ll be teaching in France and would love love love for you to join me here to celebrate that and join a worldwide group of people who recognize the tremendous benefits of yoga.

Seane and I deep dive here into what it means to be a yogi. I looooove this conversation and I just know you will find lots of inspiration in it too.

Remember to check the show notes at visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast for links to Seane and things we talk about during the interview.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors and beinvenue from France. I had hoped to get this episode out while I was still in California, but I was forced to surrender to the fact that between technical issues with computers and some files, in addition to my heavy schedule of moving out of my place in LA and teaching while in California , it simply wasn’t possible.

I taught a community healing event in my beloved Ojai to help with healing after the fires, and I presented my “Yoga Starts in the Kitchen” workshop at the Lightning in a Bottle Festival. That was my 4th year in a row at the Learning Kitchen and it’s always a joy to present at this event. Stay tuned for pics and a youtube video of that presentation coming up soon, and listen to my interview with Cristina Urioste , the curator fo that stage to learn more about that event.

So I’ve done it now. I took the leap to leave my Los Angeles home of twenty years behind, donate all my stuff to my friends who lost their homes in the Ojai fires, I sold my car, and I’m now on yomad status. That’s right, I’m a yoga nomad sharing yoga all over the world, and I couldn’t be happier about it. This last year traveling the world showed me that this is exactly what I want to be doing at this point in my life. I’m taking the action steps to literally lighten my load and invest in experiences over things. In September I’ll be presenting at the DNX Global festival in Lisbon which is the place to be if you’re interested in moving toward the digital nomad lifestyle. Stay tuned to my facebook page for announcements and discounts to that event.

So now I’m in the Auvergne region in France, in the middle of a 6000 acre forest that rest inside a volcano, seriously guys. I’m here offering a Wilderness Wellness experience and you’re invited! I’ll be here teaching yoga for a couple more weeks and you can drop in any time to participate. We’re in a stunning 300 year old eco lodge in front of a lake with views of animals and rolling hills. It’s the most quiet peaceful place I can ever remember being. It’s truly magical. You can come for just a few nights or as long as you want, so if you’re in Europe or looking for an excuse to travel, please, come and join us. You can find the details on my “Visionary Yoga and Podcast” facebook page and I’ll post a link in the show notes as well.

So now, on to today’s show.

Allison Melody, is a co-host of The Food Heals Podcast along with Suzy Hardy, and is the owner of Melody Productions. She is an eco–entrepreneur with a passion for film, fitness and food. Through her podcast, she brings together experts in nutrition and healing to teach listeners the best-kept natural secrets to health and happiness. For the past eleven years, Allison has also directed, produced and edited documentary films, PSA’s, commercials and viral videos for clients on the topics of social justice, human rights and holistic health.

The topics she addresses through her work are powerful and heart-centered and focus on Holistic Health, Social Justice, Human Rights and Animal Rights. They reflect her passion for creating positive change in people and the communities they serve.

At the age of 26, Allison endured the devastating loss of both her parents to cancer after long and challenging battles. Witnessing her mother and father suffer so intensely and needlessly from a cure that brought more pain than the disease, Allison soon dedicated her life to finding a better way to heal. She watched in disbelief as doctors prescribed drug after drug, observed her parents’ hair fall out, their rapidly aging faces, and their exceedingly diminishing vitality. The tragedy instilled in her an unwavering passion for nutritional medicine, and propelled her into the world of holistic health and alternative healing. Allison’s firm commitment to natural health is further evidenced by her achievement of a Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology.

Allison is currently in the process of directing Food Heals, a documentary with an all star cast, that focuses on the healing power of food as medicine.

I met Allison in the city of angels a few years ago when I was a guest on her podcast: Food Heals not once, but 3 times. After the first appearance on her show, it was clear we are like minded kindred spirits both working to raise awareness about the healing power of food and a sustainable lifestyle.

Sadly Suzy was unavailable to join us for this interview, but I think Allison and I managed to have a lively discussion that I hope will inspire and empower you on your healing journey.

Food is medicine guys, and Allison and I dive into this topic in this conversation. If you’re suffering from an illness, or have a loved one who is, I hope you get some inspiration and learn something here that supports you.

We talk about the best foods to eat to heal as well as those to avoid, we discuss the documentaries that helped us learn how to thrive in this lifestyle, and Allison reveals her biggest mistakes as well as tips when starting on the healthy lifestyle path.

Allison says “My mission is to educate others that we can heal ourselves. We just have to believe it and do the work.”

So are you ready to do the work to live your healthiest life ever?

Let’s go…

And make sure to check out the show notes on visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast for links to the things we discuss in this episode.

While you’re at it, join our facebook page and group, and follow my worldwide yomad adventures and say hi on my instagram account @visionary_lifestyle_guide and @visionarylifestylepodcast

I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I enjoyed having it.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors,

I’m coming to you from beautiful Ojai California today. I’m here reuniting with my beloved community after circling the globe not once, but twice in the last year. There is something simply magical about this sacred land. And to see it in the rebirth process after the fires here last fall is a true blessing. Fresh green sprouts and wildflowers abound. After being around the world I can honestly say that Ojai holds my heart like no other place. The energy here and the people that are drawn here create a very special and powerful vortex. A quaint valley surrounded by mountains, full of spiritual centers and named by the Chumash Tribe after the moon, I’ve found it to be an extremely healing and grounding place to be. I’m thinking I should do some retreats here to share the magic with you. You guys in? Check out my Visionary Lifestyle & Podcast facebook page to see some yoga videos here.Send me an email if that sounds good to you. You can reach me at guide@visionary-lifestyle.com

So now, on to today’s show.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors,

Today I’m coming to you from Ojai, California.I’m here visiting my soul tribe and preparing to offer some healing workshops for the community that is just getting back on it’s feet after the largest fire in California history swept through here last fall. The mountains surrounding this sacred valley are a sight to behold as the green is just starting to pop through the burn scars that cover the hills, and a variety of colorful wildflowers are sprouting up, creating a unique landscape that screams rebirth. It’s been a blessed homecoming seeing everyone who survived the trauma of the fires. Some of the best hugs ever are happening here now, and my heart is so full.

I’m sorry about the lapse in publishing a show, but, It was beyond my control because…. my computer died in Indonesia. You may have seen my facebook live video talking about it? When I thought it was just the battery? Well it turned out to be the motherboard dangit. It took me over 60 hours to get back to California, and then I went to immediately move out of my place I’ve lived in for 20 years, sort through aaaaaaall my possessions, and look for a new computer all at the same time, while fighting some serious jetlag soooooooooo…. Now I’m on the other side of all that, thank God.

And yeah, you heard me right, I just let my place in Los Angeles go. A huge chapter of my life is coming to a close here on this trip. I’ve given away or sold almost everything I owned, including my car guys. So I am now an official yomad, free to roam the world with a lot less weight. Releasing the old, to make space for the new feels so deeply, like the right choice. . I’m embracing the thrill and mystery of world travel and freeing myself up to accept aligned opportunities as they arise.

If you’ve been finding value in the show, and can spare a few dollars, your donations are always appreciated, and I’ve set up a special fund to support the unexpected purchase of my new laptop

And now onto today's Show.

Today's guest is Cristina Urioste

Cristina’s appreciation for organic, seasonal, and locally grown food began while living on a beautiful farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, where she learned organic gardening techniques and grew her own fruits and vegetables from 1997- 2000. Participating so fully with the cycles of nature served as a profound epiphany in her understanding of the human relationship with food.

It was also during that time that she began studying Ayurveda, an ancient holistic lifeway from India (often considered yoga’s ‘sister science’), at The Wise Earth School of Ayurveda. There, Sri Swamini Mayatitananda carefully taught her about grace, wholeness, and sadhana in the kitchen, and reminded her that food is medicine. Ultimately, in 1999 she became Chef of the Wise Earth School, preparing food for Swamini Mayatitananda Herself, as well as doctors, health practitioners, healers, yoga teachers, and spiritual seekers. Since then, Cristina has been cooking and teaching others how to prepare wholesome delicious meals at wellness retreat centers, yoga centers, summer camps, private homes, fundraising events, movie sets, and more. Cristina currently lives in Venice, California, where she continues to garden and prepare organic delights with constant love and joy. You can typically find her at one or more of the outstanding farmer’s markets on the Westside with a canvas bag full of organic goodies for that week’s menu. She caters events and prepares food in private homes. She also teaches Kitchen Wisdom: Holistic Traditions for Sustainable Wellness classes both privately and in small groups.

Her brand name is Rasa Foods. RASA IS A SANSKRIT WORD THAT MEANS “DIVINE NECTAR.” IT ALSO MEANS “THE SAP, THE JUICE, THE ESSENCE OR VITALITY IN A SUBSTANCE.” RASA FOODS: DELECTABLE SALUBRIOUS COOKing that TAKES PRIDE IN CREATING MEALS FORTIFIED WITH THE NOURISHING ESSENCE AND VITALITY OF LIFE.

Cristina is also the creator and curator of The Learning Kitchen, a stage at the Lightning in a Bottle Festival that’s grown to over 30K tickets sold.

I met Cristina 4 years ago when she invited me to present at The Learning Kitchen . This will be my 4th year presenting there, and if you’re in California please do come and don’t miss my “Yoga Starts in the Kitchen” workshop.

The stage is packed all weekend with workshops sharing super creative ideas and much needed knowledge about food. It is not to be missed!

Greetings Rainbow Warriors,

I’m coming to you from magical Bali today. I’ve been here about 3 weeks now and I’ve got to say I’m really enjoying the island life. The warm humid air is so pacifying for my vata which feels really balancing for me, you can listen to my Ayurveda episodes if you don’t know what I’m talking about. Bali is known for being a concentrated place of healing on the planet, and I’m witnessing it myself and hearing amazing stories from people here about their healing too.

I’m looking into offering retreats here, to give you all a taste of the magic, so drop me an email through my visionary-lifestyle.com website if that’s something that you’d like to participate in.

Our guest today is Ronnie Landis. Ronnie is an Author, Professional Speaker, Health & Life Transformation Coach, and a Nutrition & Human Potential Strategist.

He’s a leading expert in holistic health, natural nutrition, and human potential. He helps people ,from driven entrepreneurs, athletes, visionary artists, actors/actresses, and intuitive healers, all the way to stay at home moms and dads to perform at their best mentally, emotionally, and physically. Ronnie’s work ranges from exploring the fringes of cutting edge health sciences, food based nutrition, innovative supplementation strategies, and a deep passion for helping people overcome long held mental and emotional roadblocks so they can experience every area of their life at their full potential. Ronnie is a public speaker and teacher, a published author of multiple books, hosts of two popular podcasts, a transformation and peak performance coach, and above all else a man who deeply values life and has devoted his life to uplifting and inspiring the lives of as many people as he can reach through his mission, his work, and his message.

I’ve known Ronnie for years through the healthy lifestyle scene in Los Angeles. I’ve always regarded him as someone who carries a lot of wisdom and passion for holistic health. I’m grateful we got to share this conversation when I was last in California, almost a year ago now. Ronnie drops a lot of specific wisdom in this show, everything from nuggets about Taoist herbs and plant medicine in general, to conscious eating, to the importance of acid/alkaline balance and lots more, so it’s a good idea to be ready to take some notes if you can.

Also, Check out the show notes for links to Ronnie’s work on visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast.

It’s interesting for me to listen to this interview again now, after I became certified in Reiki during my last trip to India. I really resonate with her explanation of Reiki and am grateful to now be certified in this healing modality.

Namaste Rainbow Warriors! I’m coming to you today from Bali, Indonesia. I’ve discovered that landing in Bali direct from india is a great traveling strategy.

Everything feels more clean and comfy here. In India I was kind of roughing it. Of course I’m madly in love with India, and I believe it’s an important journey for everyone to spend time there, it certainly is for me, and I haven’t even scratched the surface there, but Bali is an entirely different vibe. And there’s better wifi haha. The culture here is still hindu, but a different kind than you see in India.

This culture is steeped in ceremony for everything in the world. They literally have a ceremony for everything, and it’s amazing to be in a place that holds so much reverence for everything under the sun. Yesterday was a ceremony for all things metal, like cars and machines, and I hear there’s one for trees coming up soon. How cool is that?!

I love the high energy of sacred community here. In the couple days ‘ve been here I’ve been running into old and dear friends that I didn’t expect to see, and that always feels magical.

The air is hot and moist, everything is bright green, the prana is just palpable here. SO much life force energy! Tomorrow the Bali Spirit Festival will begin and I’ll be on a week long love fest yoga train. I’m looking forward to recording a new season of interviews for you here with the international speakers and teachers from the festival, and keep this podcast rolling as a source of inspiration and empowerment for you!

So now let’s get to today’s episode.

Our guest today is Jonny Rose. Jonny is a 700 hour yoga alliance certified teacher, that’s a lot of training folks! He is part of the core teaching team at The Sanctuary Thailand where he’s been teaching since 2014. After discovering yoga in Byron Bay in 2002 it has been happily taking over Jonny's life. He tries to do justice to all his amazing teachers in every class he leads, for the amazing effects they had on his life.

He believes that dancing is a basic human need, and has a light hearted approach and a wicked sense of humor.

I met Jonny in Ko Phangan ,Thailand, on the advise of a common friend who said he’d ”make a great” interview, and that he did. Jonny lives most of his life in an absolute paradise on a small bay of turquiose water on this island in southern Thailand, surrounded by jungle and yoga.

I enjoyed a couple of his classes there, and love his “don’t take yourself too seriously”approach.

In this interview we took a deep dive into the 8 limbs of yoga, and especially the yamas and the niyamas. Jonny’s explanation of these foundational yogic principles was straight to the point and enlightening. Jonny really breaks down the 8 limbs of yoga in a way you may not have heard before.

I hope you learn something here and get inspired to deepen your practice of true yoga .

As usual check out the show notes for links to Jonny and things we talked about in the show, on my website at visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast you’ll find my special media links there too so you can keep in touch and follow my behind the scenes stories that lead to these shows….

See you next week.

Enjoy and namaste

Greeting Rainbow Warriors. This is the last show I’m publishing from India. As this episode is going live, I’ll be leaving a deeply transformative month in Rishikesh, which ends my 3 months in India, l and travelling to Bali.

My heart is heavy leaving India. Time spent here is a true deep dive into ones soul, and even 3 months seemed to pass in the blink of an eye. Walking through Rishikesh feels like an alternate reality. Mantras and inscense are literally wafting through the air everywhere I go, cows are everywhere, the river is flowing, the streets are feel of saddus and spiritual seekers from around the world. and the air is ris in spiritual depth and transformation.Sitting with the powerful River Ganga this evening for my last sunset, contemplating my time here in the Motherland, the biggest thought that pervades my head and heart is “thank you”. I feel so so blessed to be spending this time here, and then to have this outlet, to share it with you. SO much soul growth, so much heart connection, so much learning, so much beauty. India , has. My. heart.

I finished an 8 day panchakarma treatment here yesterday, and am happy to report that my body and mind feel so light after this deep celular detox. Today I interviewed My Ayurvedic Dr, Dr. Maurya who I published an episode with last year, about the panchakarma process, so watch for that interview coming up in a future season. This is something I highly recommend to everyone, and I’ll be making it part of my annual trip to India, which happens to coincide with my birthday. I mean, What better way to honor and celebrate myself every year than this!? Right?

As I’m preparing to record this intro, a review came in on facebook and inspired me to share it here. Tribe your reviews really warm my heart and give me the inspiration to keep this show going. It’s midnight here in my hotel room in Rishikesh and I’m waking up early to travel tomorrow, so receiving some words of encouragement at a time like this really gives me a boost to keep working into the night to get this show out to you. Sara says” “I can’t stop listening and catching up on all the episodes, so interesting, so enriching and juicy...in deep gratitude to Magda and everyone who support this podcast <3” Thank you so much Sara, for listening, and for taking the time to share your review, it means so much to me, I’m grateful to you too. SO now on with today’s show….

The timing of this interview seems fitting as our guest today shares how her trip to India changed the course of her life.

Our guest today is Nadia Moon.

Nadia Moon is a 500h certified yoga teacher, a dream catcher, a traveler & a yoga holiday organizer. After few years working in London as International Marketing Executive she decided to quit it all to catch her dreams, share her love, follow her intentions & happiness.

Her intention and mission for this lifetime is to inspire & empower others to follow their dreams, to improve their lifestyle, to laugh more, to stretch more, to dance more, to be more present, to accept & to let go. She believes in the power of letting go through yoga, meditation, dancing, chanting and in the freedom of mind & body.

We met at a beautiful yoga and detox resort in on the island of Ko Phangan in Thailand, known as The Sanctuary. I attended a couple of her classes, one on pranayamas with chakras, and the other in Yoga Nidra.

I really enjoyed her teaching style and her energy in general, and loved getting to know her better in this interview. His story is one that may inspire you to reconsider you life and allow yoga to become a bigger part of your life.

We talked a lot about yoga, India, she touched on her experience at a Vipassana Meditation Retreat, and we discussed her yogi diet.

She explained what yoga nidra is and shared a lot of inspiration.

Welcome to year two of the Visionary Lifestyle Podcast!I thank you for your patience for the launch of this second year, I had a couple little delays as I’m traveling in India, I’ve been busy with the International Yoga Festival, wifi is an ongoing issue, I’ve had some technical issues with my phone, as well as my computer. I actually recorded this intro days ago but my computer froze before I could save it and then my wifi went down ha. There are challenges to this digital nomad thing when travelling in 3rd world countries and it’s taken me some time to accept that but thankfully ,I’m finally getting this out to you.

I’m currently in Risihikesh, India. I attended the International Yoga festival where it was like a big reunion. I saw a lot of the yoga teachers I interviewed during the festival last year, and I see this family growing and strengthening. I’m considering bringing a group of yogis with me here next year, shoot me an email if that interests you!~

This time of year draws the spiritual masters or “gurus” to Rishikesh. In fact the place is named Rishikesh because the great sages and rishis have been drawn here to the foothill of the Himalyas for eons. I’ve been attending satsangs, which is essentially a spiritual talk by a “guru”. There are loads of them here, with these spiritual masters coming from around the world and sharing their spiritual wisdom with their followers.

If you’re not yet following my instagram check that out for some behind the scenes stories of what I’m up to and what’s coming up on the show. That’s @ visionary_lifestyle_guide.

So here we go, this is the launch of year two of the podcast. There’s sooooo much in the pipeline for you that I just can’t wait to share!

This year will start with season 5 which began in Thailand, continued in California and then went on to Europe. The following season 6 was recorded in Lisbon at the DNX Global Conference which is all about the digital nomad lifestyle I’ve been embracing for the last year. Or, as I like to call it, digitalyomad, as in yoga nomad. My new favorite hashtag is #yogaallovertheworld. yay!. If you’re interested in taking your work on the road and traveling more , you don’t want to miss those interviews with people who are living that lifestyle now.

And I’m recording season 7 now in India, and will continue on back to Bali again for the Bali Spirit Festival again this year. I just returned from Navdanya, Vanadana Shivas organic farm in rural India and was fortunate enough to interview her about her activism and what conscious eating looks like for her today. She touts saving the seeds and our food system as the answer to climate change and improving health and food security for all sentient beings. She is truly my shero and interviewing her was a true honor. I took an eco feminism course and toured herfarm which was incredibly inspiring to see. Check my instagram to see pics from that trip. The best part was the seed bank where they’re storehousing organic and heirloom seeds. Did you know that Monsanto now owns over 90% of the seeds on our planet? That means this giant poison company control our food system guys. Vanadana Shiva is their biggest enemy, and working on the daily to ensure that we the people have safe and abundant food. So make sure you watch for her episode in season 7.

I’m so excited to see what unfolds with the podcast this year. I’ve made countless valuable friendships with the people I interviewed last year, brought you what I hope are inspiring and empowering content through those interviews, and look forward to so many more.

Have you listened to my episodes from the last year? If you’re new to the podcast I invite you to go back and look through and listen to the ones that call you. And it’s also a good idea to go back to episode #1 in order to get my take on what we’re focusing on here, and what’s really important in the Visionary Lifestyle. If you’re wondering why I always address you as Rainbow Warriors, I explain that there too.

This is an ongoing and open invitation for YOU to join our tribe and participate in activating your highest potential.

Ok so next I’m going to play a short piece I recorded at the beatles ashram here in Rishikesh on a very special day, and then coming up next will be Season 5, starting with my interview with the digital nomad founders of the DNX Global Movement which we recorded in Thailand.

If there are people or topics you’d like me to cover, send me an email and share your thoughts. If you’ve enjoyed the show it’s never too late to write us a review on itunes, and as always, I love hearing from you so just drop me an eMail to: guide@visionary-lifestyle.com

Enjoy and Namaste

Dear beloved community, my rainbow warriors!

This is a very special episode because it marks our 1 year anniversary!

I can’t believe it’s been a year since I launched this show! It’s been quite the journey producing over 55 episodes for you while I travel the world. It has been a wonderful creative birthing experience, to say the least.

I’m back in India now, where it all began last February, when I managed to launch this baby with minimal technical experience, not to mention wifi , and constant power outages in India. It’s nothing short of a miracle that I got these episodes out at times. I remember sitting in a cafe in Rishikesh this time last year, trying to find enough wifi to watch a 3 minute youtube tutorial on how to tag my episodes.

A year later I am happy to report that I have literally circled the globe , interviewing loads of inspiring teachers, new thought leaders, healers, health experts, conscious musicians and yogis galore, all doing their part to uplift consciousness and create more unity, also known as yoga. Did you catch that? The word yoga, means union. That, is in essence what this show is all about. How can we create more union? Union of ourselves with the Divine, union of ourselves to one another, union of all people with this glorious planet we call Mother Earth, and union of all life with all life. This, is what yoga means to me.

Now Tribe, I am floored and humbled to know that we have listeners in over 40 countries, say whaaaaaat?!

It’s really inspiring to me to do this 1 year recap and study the statistics and see just how far this visionary message is reaching! Wow! Thank you for listening to and sharing the show!

If you’ve been listening to the show for a while you’ve learned that yoga is much more than moving your body into special positions. Yoga is a lifestyle, and a way of being. It’s a conscious path, that has the potential to enrich your life in ways you can’t imagine. It has the power to bring you not only a healthy fit body, but also inner peace, a deeper sense of self and maybe even an enriched value system that supports the union I’ve been talking about. It’s a path for the courageous, because when you truly embark on it, your life really begins to change. You become, more conscious. I like to joke that yoga is the gateway drug to higher consciousness. It’s not something you have to try for, it’s just a natural evolution of your being that happens through the practice of yoga. More than even a path, yoga is a journey, deep into the self. Yoga says our suffering is caused by ignorance, ignorance of our true nature.

There are some interviews on the show with teachers like Laura Plumb and Jules Febre, talking about the 8 limbs of yoga, and there are more of those conversations in the pipeline. Please pay attention to this, it is critical information. It’s really a big mission for me with the show for you to understand this. What we’re talking about here is TRUE yoga. As laid out by the great sage Patanjali, Yoga is like a tree, with 8 limbs. Each limb is joined to the others, balancing and strengthening them,as an integral part of a greater whole. The body of yoga grows by itself, spontaneously, when you practice it. And, there’s a reason yoga is called a practice. It requires your attention daily, and even minute to minute.

I met a guy on the street here in Goa and invited him to one of my workshops I’m teaching. I asked” do you practice yoga?” his response was perfect” Yoga, constantly, asana, sometimes”

It’s much broader and deeper than just the physical practice of stretching, moving and balancing your body into different postures. True yoga is not just “jumping and pumping” yoga as VishveJi says in my interview with him, it’s not just about fitness. The physical postures in yoga, the asana, which is by the way the 3rd limb of yoga, does help keep the body clean and fit, for the purpose of, not vanity, but for us to be healthy, pain and disease free so we can do the work we came here to do, to deliver our unique gifts without distraction of a sick or weak body.

Yoga is a way of being in the world. In my interview with Katchi Ananda, she says Yoga is a prayer in the body, and I couldn’t agree more. Vijay Gopala reminds us that presence is the most important aspect we can bring to our practice. Eoin Finn reminded us that we are nature, and the more we blur the lines between nature and us, the happier we can be. Seriously when I relisten to these interviews as I edit them, I gain so much wisdom from these knowledgeable teachers. In some cases it’s been 6 months since I did an interview when I come to edit it, and I’m amazed at the depth of the wisdom being shared, that I may not have been able to fully grasp in the moment. I find myself listening to the interviews multiple times, and taking notes, because they’re s just so much value to absorb.

So consider this. The first limb of yoga is the yamas, or ways of being in the world. The first 3 tenants in that first limb are ahimsa (nonviolence or doing the least harm), then we have satya,(truth or sometimes translated as impeccability in thought speech and action) and asteya (integrity, which can be interpreted as not stealing, or not laying claim to anything that is not ours). That can be something as simple as hogging a conversation and “stealing”someone’s time for your own egoic need to talk talk talk.

Like Sadvhiji said in my interview with her, if people followed just those first three tenants, imagine the world we would live in. Can we consider this for a moment?Non violence, truth and integrity...

So this leads me to share with you that, as I see it, yoga has the potential to literally save the world.

If people got on board with these values, and did the physical asana practice to keep themselves well, and pranayama , the fourth limb, to keep themselves clean physically and balanced mentally, we would automatically gain the other limbs which culminate in the 8th limb, known as samadhi, or enlightened bliss.

Last year at the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh where I recorded the second season of the show, and where I am headed again in the coming weeks, The prime minister of India , Mr. Modi, skyped in with a message. Mind you this was very soon after Donald Trump was inagurated as the president in the US, and the contrast between these two men couldn’t be more stark. Modi , who does an hour of yoga every morning at 5am, spoke about how and why yoga is essential for people to practice. That it is and can be the solution our world so desperately needs. It is, the path to union for all beings.”

So to recap the first year of the show. Season 1 was recorded in California before I started my world tour, with brilliant guests sharing about healing, yoga, conscious media, yogic philosophy and tons more. That was followed by a season in India at the International Yoga Festival, 2 full seasons in Bali, one at the Bali SPirit Festival and another at the New Earth Festival, and now coming up next is season 5 recorded in Thailand, California, New York and Paris! This has truly become a worldwide heart expression of the Visionary LIfestyle message. Turns out, there are people all over the world interested in being the change. Bravo my rainbow warriors, bravo.

So I thought I’d share with you about some of my takeaways from a year of traveling the world.

First one, Just when you think you have things figured out, another plot twist unfolds

The only constant is change

Go with the flow has taken on a new meaning

Calling this Magda’s magical mystery tour couldn’t have been a better name, ha. Have you seen that hashtag on instagram? #magdasmagicalmysterytour

One of the most challenging things has been Learning to go with the flow with ease and grace. You can’t get attached to anything, or anyone.

I said at the beginning of 2018 that my word this year was going to be “allow”. That means I intend to allow the things meant to me to come to me, without chasing them or really even trying to “manifest”. The other side of course is allowing the things not meant for me to fall away with ease and grace as well. To loosen my grip when something I find myself attached to decides to leave.

God knows I’m getting lots of practice in these arenas.

Another Big takeaway is that :Everything is energy.

I feel I’ve come to understand this on a deeper level than ever before. My interview with Michael Tellinger goes a bit deeper into this. The most important aspect of any relationship, decision, business deal, anything, is energetic resonance.

I’ve certainly had some lessons lately that remind me to trust my intuition, because when I don’t, it always comes around to bite me in the ass.

If you didn’t catch the announcement I made at new years, know that I’m recording notes on all my adventures and beginning to put them into a book. I’ve decided to write two books this year actually.

The first is the Visionary Lifestyle Guide to Activating Your Highest Potential, so a guidebook really, detailing the 7 steps that make for a healthy and fulfilling life.

The second is one about my travels and what I’ve learned along the way. I’m coming up on my 50th birthday in just over a year from now, and I’d like to think I’ve accumulated some wisdom worth sharing, so stay tuned for that. I’m embracing my silver streaks in my hair, and choosing to regard my aging as a beautiful unfoldment of a sage wise woman. My intention is the have both books out by my 50th birthday-wish me luck….

I want to give a shout out to some of my top patrons on Patreon, Johann Urb, Michelle Dohrn and Kim Debus you’ve been absolute champions and I thank you. David Byrne you are my top angel again and again, and this content would not have been produced without your generous support. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my soul, THANK YOU

Now folks if you’re enjoying and finding value in this content, please support the show in the way that feels best for you.

Your 5 star rating and review goes a long way in itunes, sharing with loved ones that will benefit from this content gains you big karma points , and sharing on social media is always a huge plug for the show, and , of course your financial support on patreon or directly through paypal would help keep this boat afloat.

My out of pocket expenses for this show have never been fully covered by my audience, so that means they’re coming out of my pocket guys. Notice there are no ads here. My goal is for this show to be listener supported. Yes, this is a labor of love but, I’m going to need you to cough up some more support if we want to keep this going and going and going, which I sure do!

So please become a patron today by signing up for even just $1 a month. If everyone listening did that my out of pocket expenses just for publishing, would be covered. Now that doesn’t include so many other expenses like plane tickets, meals, equipment, not even my internet costs. There is a base monthly cost mostly for subscriptions to host and the like, to produce and publish the show and get the content all over the internet, to make it easy for you to access.

I’ve got loads of videos on the facebook page with mini practices filmed around the world. Join me there for more free stuff!

I’m so excited for another year of bringing you life altering tools and content to help activate your highest potential. If there’s anything or anyone in particular you want more of , shoot me an email and let me know! Send that to guide@visionary-lifestyle.com

My intention here is to be of service, To be of service to your highest potential that once activated, will automatically make the world a better place. Your effort and willingness to put in the time to listen to these conversations , get inspired, and do the practices is the most important thing you can do for yourself, and the world.

One of my favorite and guiding quotes is from Lao Tzu, the author of the Tao de Ching. He says:

If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.

So with that inspiring quote, I want to leave you today with a share of a song that has been guiding my way all around the world. This is a gift from a soul sister back in Ojai, CAlifornia named Shylah ray SUnshine. The first time I hear her voice many years ago, her music moved me so deeply. Her music has been my constant companion as I make my way through the world, and this song in particular has gotten me through some week moments. If I’m ever feeling low or week, this song is sure to remind me of the Truth, the Truth that sometimes gets buried or hidden under the weight of the world otr my own mental garbage.

If you’re driving, turn up the volume, if you’re at home, I invite you to stop what you’re doing, and maybe even put some headphones on, and give this your full attention. Allow the lyrics to dive deep into the cells of your being, and remind you of what’s important, to bring YOU back to center. To empower you with the Truth, with a capital T. You are so powerful tribe, please remember that. Your presence and your choices and your vibration carry so much power. May we all continue to be the change we wish to see in the world.

May we all continue on our paths of self-transformation.

I wish you so much love and light on your personal journey.

I’ll be back next week with the first episode of season 5, recorded in Thailand.

There will be links to everything talked about in this episode, including to Shylah’s music so you can download this yourself in the show notes. You can find those on my website at visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast

This song is called Existence….enjoy and namaste

I met Daisy at the New Earth Festival in Bali and we squeezed in this interview as one of her students was about to lead a cacao ceremony.

We were interrupted a bunch of times during the interview so it may sound a little choppy, but I assure you, there is a lot of rich content in this brief conversation.

Have you been called to a participate in a cacao ceremony? If so, this may help you understand why you’re interested in it, and the potential this experience has for you.

I really enjoyed meeting Daisy and love her uplifting energy. I did get to The Santuary in Thailand after this interview but unfortunately didn’t get to participate in a ciao ceremony. I’m trusting that the right one in the right place will align when it’s the perfect time.

Sacha Stone, founder of Humanitad.org (and its brainchild, NewEarth Project)

Sacha is a Former rock musician and founder of the New Earth Project, the planetary sovereignty, consciousness and sustainability movement, convening itself as the worlds first extraterritorial nation of peoples from all cultures & faiths. New Earth nationals are people who choose to step out of the invisible contracts with corporate nation states and into a new covenant of fellowship amongst all of humankind via a Declaration of Sovereignty. The nation exists under its own cognisance, as its own court of record and is backed up by its own law commission, law academy and a growing army of law experts around the world. The Nation is launching a zero-point economy and has recently launched Zero Point Time (ZPT) as a unified time signature.

Sacha Stone established Humanitad (http://www.humanitad.org/) as a non sectarian organisation serving as architect and facilitator of global initiatives impacting sustainability, natural justice and social ecology. It is a focus platform for experts in economics, media, education, science & technology, research & advocacy, arts & culture and diplomacy & conflict-resolution.

Humanitad’s law commission is active on the world stage in human rights and natural justice. It continues to incubate medical cures and technological breakthroughs whilst challenging established frameworks of governance which serve vested interests ahead of the interests of humanity and a fragile planet. As a non-profit organisation it functions in the service of people of the world beyond the constraints of ‘systems’ and ‘ideologies’ devised by men and institutions which seek power and wealth as the measure by which all else follows.

Whilst outspoken against the centralisation of power and of multilateral institutional manipulation, in order to enter the multilateral arena and attempt to engage with the mechanics of centralised power, Sacha Stone produced the MDG Awards ceremony on the floor of the General Assembly at the United Nations in 2009. It was at this event where Archbishop Desmond Tutu propounded the word Ubuntu, which is fast becoming a major pattern for international socio-ecological reform.

As Director-General for the UN-IGO (IREO) Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Organisation in 2010, he founded and launched the Exemplar-Zero Initiative. The pioneering international initiative safe-harbours and develops breakthrough sustainable technologies and solutions as well as sustainable economic modelling.

Sacha currently chairs the annual Global Breakthrough Energy Movement panels of scientists and innovators – a pioneering movement which is leading the world toward a free-energy revolution. www.globalbem.com

In 2011 Sacha founded the (NWO) Natural World Organisation (http://www.nwo-igo.org/) an intergovernmental organisation promulgating accountability and transparency in world-wide governance – a multilateral organisation which directly challenges globalism and collectivism.

Sacha Stone’s socio-political writings and ‘State of the World’ reports serve as harsh critiques on the disease of globalisation and covert elitism (the architecture of fear and control).

At the same time he emphasises the need for a conscious return (via a total collapse of the collective human conceptual framework) back into the true ‘zero-point’ contained within the quanta of the (collective) human heart – in order for us to qualify and participate fully in the next great step in our human and planetary evolution.

Sacha says "If we are to manifest sustainability and foster an energy & socio-ecological revolution in our times we must acknowledge that participatory ‘consciousness’ is the chief factor. Technology and consciousness are intimately connected and it is time for us to engage that conversation without fear of scorn from a world still largely trapped in linear logic and limitations of the conditioned mind."

I met Sacha in Bali at his New Earth Haven when he hosted the first New Earth Festival.

The people that gathered for this event were truly visionaries, and I was honored to present my Conscious Eating talk, and subsequently to be invited onto the faculty of the New Earth University’s school of Health & Wellness.

Sacha is not shy, he has strong opinions, and an ability to communicate them effectively. I see him as a passionate visionary activist, working on the daily to help create a new and better world. He dropped so many deep concepts during this conversation, that it took me a while to digest it, and listening to it again now to edit it, I’m reminded that this man is spearheading the work of truly bringing into tangible form, the new earth so many of us want to see. And as you’ll hear, he’s not taking credit for all of it. He wants everyone to participate, collectively, for the new earth to be birthed, by all of us.

I hope you find this episode inspiring, and allow yourself to vision for yourself how you can participate in birthing the new earth, and then, get to it. Remember my guiding quote for this show that I mentioned in episode 1? A vision is but a dream. A task without a vision is drudgery. A vision and a task is the hope of the world. We all need to get to work my rainbow warriors. Let this be your nudge today, to put some energy into creating the world that you want to see.

Todays guest is Jonathan Fritzler. Jonathan is co-founder of The Mind Lab, an organization that researches the latest in neuroscience, Coherence, Consciousness and quantum theory, to develop innovative frameworks for personal leadership and engineering the future.

The Mind Lab is a process that uses the scientific method as a framework to help leaders plot a clear trajectory towards their goals. Jonathan has hosted workshops in over 25 cities globally with participants reporting increased clarity about their future, more energy and confidence to achieve their goals, and new insights into who they are becoming in the future.

Jonathan and I met at the New Earth festival in Bali where he was presenting a workshop, and fortunately, we found time to sit down and have this chat. We talked about how to bring consciousness to business, and he defines and explains how he works with Divine sacred strategy. He spoke about how he’s teaching entrepreneurship and intrepreneurship.

This conversation is in essence, about how to create right livelihood, meaning, making your work in the world benefit not only yourself , but also be of service to the world.

Right livelihood is a concept that came to my awareness about 15 years ago when I was regularly attending services at Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles. I can honestly say that learning about this changed the trajectory of my life. Being of service and benefitting others through the work I do really appealed to me, and helped me focus my intentions in this direction. Out of these ideas, Visionary Lifestyle was born.

So today I’m happy to be bringing this concept to you through this conversation, and Jonathan is an excellent guide to help you on that path to creating a business that is truly your souls purpose. Jonathan asks: “ What is the value that you are bringing to the world?”

He goes into some practical steps you can take today to move yourself forward on this path of sacred activism.

I really enjoyed this conversion with Jonathan and found myself being really inspired as a result of it. I hope you have the same experience.

As usual, you can find links to all we talk about in the show notes on iTunes as well as on my website at visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast and again my personal intstagram to see behind the scenes photos and follow my travels is @visionary_lifetyle_guide and please also follow the show on IG at @visionarylifestylepodcast

I’ve been here near 3 weeks now and I have to say it’s been a very deep experience. Lots of personal growth happens in a deeply activated place like this. Phew! I’m thrilled to announce that just completed a course in Reiki so I’m now a certified practitioner and am really looking forward to sharing that with people who are in need of energy healing. In India I usually find myself being more of s student than a teacher. I sharpen my tools and add new ones to the kit, and it feels so so good.

Our guest today is Nancy Ash. Reverend Dr Nancy Ash is a modern day mystic and pioneering midwife to the new paradigm since the 1970s. Her heart-centered voice is heard worldwide as a passionate new-thought-leader, healing conduit, author, poet, web TV host of Kaleidoscope, and former radio co-host championing peace for all women, men, and children on this planet. Ordained in ‘85, Rev Nancy is a senior minister at the vanguard of inter-spiritual dialogue.

Professor Ash is president of the new-paradigm learning community, New Earth Theological University, and is a grad/postgrad advisor as dean of its school of inter- spiritual studies. She is also executive director of NewEarth University, the learning arm of a global movement, the NewEarth Project.

During that phase she met and studied briefly with mythologist Joseph Campbell - inspiration for her life-work. Dr Ash holds a PhD in religious studies from Metropolitan University, and earned a Doctor of Divinity degree in metaphysics & spirituality.

In tandem with 40 years as a Oneness Advocate in evolutionary consciousness, Nancy is honored to serve as a Founding Trustee for the unprecedented initiative: the “ITNJ” ... the International Tribunal for Natural Justice - a world court for the people and by the people.

Reverend Dr Nancy Ash is the author of two books: Garland of Grace: Sitting with the Dying Sun; and, Doing a 360: Turning Your Life Around to Follow Soul’s Purpose. “

I was blessed to meet Nancy at The New Earth festival in Bali. Turns out she’s an old yogi so no wonder we hit it off famously.

We had a great chat with a beautiful view, and she told me all about New Earth University.

The university is divided into six schools that Nancy will outline in the interview.

The NewEarth University is currently blossoming online with 5-10 year plans of expansion into physical structures and locations.

After getting to know each other I was honored to be invited to join the faculty of the School of Health and Wellness , and contribute my work on Conscious Eating and more, to their massive database of open source content on line.

Please make sure to check the show notes to get links to everything we discuss, and do make sure check out the New Earth University website.

This is a new paradigm of education, sharing the information that our world truly needs now. I’m so grateful to learn that this is happening. It really gives me hope for the future!

Greetings Rainbow Warriors and Namaste from india

Today I’m coming to you from Kerala in the very south of India, known as God’s own country.

I’m at Amiritapuri, which is Amma’s ashram. Perhaps you’ve heard of Amma, the hugging saint. She a force of nature and seemingly beyond human. Amma has been traveling the world for decades giving blessings in the form of hugs known as darshan. She’s done this for millions of people, and most days she goes for 12-18 hours nearly non stop. She amazing to witness.

She’s also a huge humanitarian, helping those in need with her orphanages and countless other humanitarian programs, a true inspiration.

I’ll post a link to her website in the show notes so if you’re inspire to know more, read Amma’s books or visit the ashram one day you’ll know where to find her.

I got here in time for new years eve, and spent that night in the presence of Amma as she shared her spiritual wisdom. One point she made that really stuck out for me is that our mind is like a garden, and we must tend it to keep it healthy and beautiful. We need to weed it, water it, give it the right fertilizer and clear the brush so we can enjoy it’s beautiful flowers.

On new years day here thousands of people passed through the Kali temple and chanted Lokah Samastha Sukhino Bavantu which essentially translates to “May all being be happy and free, and may my thoughts words and actions contribute in some way to that happiness.”

Once I landed here I found out I have nearly no signal and not enough to load a full show, so I wanted to publish this title message to touch base and apologize for being late and to let you know that I will resume publishing full shows just as soon as I can get back to an place with more bandwidth..

I have tons of shows recorded included the rest of The New earth season, seasons from Thailand, California and Europe including the Barcelona Yoga festival and the Digital Nomad conference in Lisbon. There’s so much amazing content in the pipeline for you.

In the meantime, follow my instagram at visionary_lifestyle_guide for daily inspiration, and watch some of the videos on my Visionary Lifestyle and Podcast Facebook page. In fact, there you can find a couple videos of that mantra I mentioned, in case you’re inspired to send some good vibes out to the world too.

This is a great time to go back and listen to some older episodes and get caught up.

So for the moment, I’m surrendering to the unexpected break, and diving deep into my own spiritual practice,

I’m doing hours of yoga every day, witnessing the extraordinary sunrises and sunsets, singing mantras, practicing pranayama, and learning new techniques and meeting new friends.

I’ll also be checking into Amma’s Ayurvedic Hospital for a few weeks to do a deep deep cleanse known as panchakrama.

This is an investment I’m making in my own well being. Panchalrama clears out toxins from the body and the mind, and I highly recommend it.

Maybe I’ll be able to post a show from there, we’ll see how the signal is…

Right now it’s a mystery that’s unfolding day by day and I’m in full surrender to it.

I pray you had a wonderful holiday season, and are heading into this new year with optimism, strength and an eager willingness to be the change you wish to see in the world.

Until next time, keep up your practice and be well.

All my love

Namaste

Our guest today is Kayla Wexelberg. Kayla is a chef, an educator and a yogini. She the founder of Taste Your Roots. Taste Your Roots’ goal is grounding and educating people in their food culture, the land, and supporting them on the journey to developing a self motivated sustainable food system. Her website states: With the diverse foods that exists today, we help folks find food practices that, not only give them healthy nourishing sustenance but a deeper sense of being in connection with their food and their land. Taste Your Roots achieves this through hands on cooking classes, private chef work, conscious caterings' and individual health consultations. In addition, Taste Your Roots is constantly researching and documenting food practices and traditions all over the world. The information gathered is intertwined in classes and used to help us understand the importance of food traditions and the information they have to offer us in understanding a history, a culture and a geographic landscape. Most importantly this research is aimed at answering the questions of how to live a sustainable and connected life.

A fellow yogini, Kayla also completed her yoga teacher training in Rishikesh India this year.

I met Kayla at the New Earth Festival in Bali where she was preparing food to nourish the participants. I was super impressed with what she was serving up, and saw very quickly that she was a kindred spirit. She managed to pull herself away from the busy kitchen to have this chat with me.

We talk about food, seed to table, food and the chakra system, and yoga.

I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I enjoyed having it.

Kayla you kick ass!

Namaste

Greetings rainbow warriors,Today I’m coming from you from Morocco, with a heavy heart. Over the last week I’ve watched a nightmare unfold. My sweet home town of Ojai ,California just north of Los Angeles, has been burning. California wildfires are raging through the state, and sadly this sweet little idyllic valley also fell victim to them. Ojai is the sacred valley of the moon, named by the Chumash tribe that first inhabited it. It’s a small and tight knit spiritual town where I built a yoga community atop a mountain that overlooked the entire valley, in a center called Meditation Mount. This has been my family and community for years, which supported me and gave me the trust to lead them in yoga. This community made me the teacher I am today. I am forever grateful to those who believed in me, and my students who attended classes week after week, deepening their own practice, and unbeknownst to them also filling my heart with so much gratitude as they allowed me to share the sacred gift of yoga with them, creating such a fulfuling livlihood for me.

So this last week, The entire city was forced to evacuate. Many friends lost their homes, and that center I spoke of, Meditation Mount, had the fires ravage the land and gardens. Though some of the structures still remain, and we expect in Divine timing, the center will reopen to once again serve as a peaceful place for people to gather and meditate daily in service to humanity as they’ve been doing there for over 40 years..

My heart has been engaged in the news non stop as the horror has unfolded. Almost everyone is still displaced as the air is too toxic to breathe there right now.I humbly ask you to send your prayers and good thoughts to this very special communiyt of activated souls, so many tru Rainbow Warriors there. The local organic grocery store is even names Rainbow Bridge guys, if that give you any idea.

The fire maps show that eventually the fires made it 100% completely around the town which is a long narrow valley and could have easily been swallowed whole by the giant flames. Thanks to the tireless work of the thousands of hero firefighters, and a few miracles resulting from lots of collective prayer, the main town did not burn. It’s really nothing short of a miracle.

So, today I’m called to share with you, a recording of one of my yoga classes at our beloved Meditation Mount. As you listen, envision a mountain top glass enclosed sanctuary with a massive skylight leading up to the heavens, with views of exquisite gardens, majestic mountains, and our magical valley below. It has been a true honor to be a part of this community, and I and many are holding space for a phoenix from the ashes story for Meditation Mount, and the town as a whole.

You can visit my Visionary LIfestyle and Podcast facebook page to see a video I shared, to help the fire victims strengthen their root chakras, which are undoubtedly out of balance at this traumatic time. The root chakra is what makes us feel safe a and secure in the world, and when our homes , live or livlihoods are threatened a lot of instability ca result. That video can be helpful to anyway concerned about their physical survival. Please check it out and share it with anyone affected by the fires.

I hope you enjoy the class. I look forward to hearing your feedback. I’m always happy to hear from you guys. You can contact me through my facebook page or website any time visionary-lifestyle.com.

This one’s for you my Ojai tribe. We are the rainbow bridge that connects heaven and earth, eternity with the now. Namaste

Today’s guest is Michael Tellinger. Michael is a scientist, explorer, researcher, activist, humanitarian and internationally acclaimed author of numerous books, and dozens of lectures available on YouTube. He is the founder of the UBUNTU Liberation Movement of UNITY & Higher Consciousness a political party registered in the UK. His latest contribution to the literary world is UBUNTU Contributionism – A Blueprint For Human Prosperity in which he lays the foundation for the philosophy of Contributionism – a world without money. In which people live in united communities in support of each other, rather than the divided communities in fear of each other that we find ourselves in today.

Michael has become an authority on the ancient vanished civilisations of Southern Africa. His continued efforts and analytical scientific approach have produced stunning new evidence that will force us to rethink our origins and rewrite our history books.

I connected with Michael at the New Earth Festival in Bali, and was blown away by his presentation and the information he was sharing. I only got a short time to interview him, as he was rushing off to reveal their new free energy device.

Michael says everything we’ve been told is a lie, and that we’re a species with amnesia. His findings are truly fascinating. We talked about the torus energy field, cymascopes, contributionism, and how sound waves can kill cancer cells. He explains that the human voice is a creation tool. Basically, everything comes from the primordial sourcecode of sound, and it all comes down to harmonic resonance he says.

Michael is connecting the dots between past and present, and wants us to move out the matrix of division into unity. Sounds like a plan, doesn’t it tribe?

Make sure to check the show notes, for links to Michael’s website as well as youtube videos about some of the topics we covered in this interview.

Our guest today is Jules Bright. Jules is a New Zealand native, a Mother, Registered Nurse, Registered Naturopath, Medical Herbalist, Rongoa practitioner(Maori Bush Medicine), Ambulance Officer, Reiki Master, Shamanic Practitioner, Remedial Body Therapist, Skin care designer, developer and manufacturer (100% natural rainforest based, patent pending), Teacher (Reflexology, bush medicine and bush survival courses), Entrepreneur and Author, plus she flies airplanes!

It has been made known to her on several occasions that Now is the Time to share some of the knowledge she’s accumulated , as the Earth is in danger.

“The way we are living is not sustainable for Planet Earth or her inhabitants”, Jules says. She has a vision to come together as a global community and activate change through our human potential – in the best way possible; to co-create your life into the Dream Life that we have always wanted. Jules plugged in to her Higher Knowledge and ever since has ‘downloaded’ potent and powerful information that we require for our ascension with the Planet, utilising our gifts and talents collectively.

I met Jules at The New Earth Festival in Bali where she was presenting a workshop entitled “Sacred Earth Medicine”. I was immediately struck by her presence when I saw her photo in the program, and then I went to her workshop. I took pages of notes as everything she spoke of was so intriguing for me. She spoke of plants, earth medicine, wild food and cycles in a way I had not heard from anyone before. Jules calls herself a self appointed voice for the trees. Listen to our conversation and you’ll understand why.

I feel so blessed I got this time with her as everyone at the festival was vying for her attention. And after the interview we sat and drank coconuts together for a couple hours as she told me one unbelievable jaw dropping story after another, about the adventure that has been her life.

This woman seriously needs to have a movie made about her extraordinary life experiences..

So for now, take a listen and see if you can find some inspiration in the unique insights and sharing from the one and only, Jules Bright.

Greetings Rainbow Warriors, I’m coming to you from beautiful Paradis Plage in Morocco today, where I’m working with the chefs to create a new conscious eating yogi menu, as well as teaching yoga and workshops. It’s a magical place right on the beach in the front of the beautiful Atlantic ocean with warm sunshine every day, and I’m feeling so blessed to be here doing what I love.

Maybe we’ll put together a retreat here, wanna come? ;)

Our guest today is Justin Stearman. Justin is the owner of Yoga Guide Magazine and Yoga Guide Media, a conscious lifestyle media company. Justin spent 10 years in nightlife, promoting parties and alcohol. When he turned 30 he took a year off and spent a lot of time meditating. With a nudge from the women in his life, he went to a yoga retreat that changed everything. He had a huge awakening when he says his 3rd eye opened, and has learned since then, that yoga is a natural high. Justin is a living example of transformation from a low vibration lifestyle to a high vibration lifestyle. He’s moved literally from the darkness to the light. His personal transformation has birthed a new company to promote a healthy conscious lifestyle that is lifting the vibration on the planet worldwide..

I met Justin at The New Earth Festival in Bali. I had been seeing his Yoga Guide Magazine around and wanted to meet the man behind it. Next thing I knew, Spirit put us in the same room, and fortunately we made the time to do this interview.

This is Justin’s story. I hope you find some inspiration here and enjoy this conversation as much as I did. It’s a tale of transformation, gratitude and and evolving consciousness.

Greetings from Morocco beloved community. This is the first show in a new season of the podcast, so if you haven’t heard the previous seasons, go back and enjoy some of those episodes, there’s a lot of value for you there, I promise.

Today’s guest is Jenna Ansell. Jenna is a conscious event producer and the director of the New Earth Ancient Futures Festival in Bali.

This year marks the first New Earth Festival, and to understand what it’s about, take in this bit from their website:

“As a Planetary Community we are experiencing healing (evolutionary) crises in every aspect of our lives and we need to endow ourselves with the tools to navigate this transition on both the personal and trans-personal level. We are compelled to come together to connect and create tangible solutions to what does not serve us as individuals or as communities for the benefit of all humanity.

The aim of the NewEarth Festival is to provide a space to do this through the co-creation of an alchemical environment in play, celebration, nourishment, healing, learning and teaching. We hope to ignite the spark in those who attend so they can in turn ignite the spark in others. We hope to nurture the sovereign creative expression within us all.

This is a seed event for visionary creatives, change makers, and thought leaders who can be bridge-builders between communities across the world and thereby inspire others. It is a gathering of the tribes where imagination manifests as reality and the unthinkable becomes the norm. It is a change of perspectives, values and priorities in a world of infinite possibility.”

Now I was there and I can attest that this is exactly what happened. Jenna and the team there truly did create a space to help activate people’s highest potential and the sparks were indeed flying, as you’ll hear in our conversation.

Jenna speaks of being the change and creating the world that we want, exactly the aim of this show, so it was of course a huge yes for me to attend and have these conversations with the souls who created, or I’m going to use the world “channeled” this event into existence.

In the interview we take a deep dive into the purpose of this festival that is so heavy into earth wisdom, deep nutrition, awareness and liminality.

I hope you find some inspiration in this conversation and by the end of it you may just be booking your ticket to Bali for the next one.

As usual, show notes are found on my website visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast, as well as in itunes.

Greetings beloved community, rainbow warriors, visionaries and change makers! I’m so pleased to be bringing you a fresh new season of The Visionary Lifestyle Podcast.

This is the 4th season of the show, and like the last one, all of the interviews were done in Bali, but this time at The New Earth Ancient Futures Festival. A one of a kind gathering especially for visionaries, thought leaders and changemakers like yourselves.

I interviewed the producers and many of the presenters so you can have a taste of Bali and all the magic that happens when a group of activated conscious people come together. We are indeed, more than the sum of our parts.

I was proud to be invited to share my Conscious Eating message there, and grateful for the people that received it so well and pledged to make changes to make every bite an expression of love for themselves, the animals and the planet.

This gathering was a group of people who are truly being the change, and inspiring others to be as well.

I met incredible people at this gathering and am so excited to be bringing them to you through the show.

My biggest take-away from this season as that at it’s core, everything is vibration. You’ll hear conversations with an assortment of people that all come to this conclusion from a different angle.

There’s really fascinating stuff coming up for you in this season! You know I love hearing from you so drop me an email at guide@visionary-lifestyle.com. I want to hear your comments and questions.

Until then, please enjoy the show and share share share it with your communities. We all need to spread the word to get our brothers and sisters on the path of awakening. Thank you for your support.

Donations to support the show are always appreciated and are best made at patreon or paypal, and I’ll put links in the shownotes for those.

Greeting rainbow warriors! Today I’m coming to you from the Balearic islands in Spain. I’m in palma ,Mallorca to be exact. Feeling so blessed to be here and to be sharing this episode you because it’s rich with wisdom. My phone was stolen is Lisbon last week, which gave me lots of opportunity to practice yoga. What I mean by that is, when stressful incidents happen, I bust out my yoga toolbox for support. Pranayama, meditation and yoga are what keep me sane in this often insane world.

This is a potent week energetically as well with the Fall Equinox, the International Day of Peace and Navaratri, the 9 day celebration of the Divine Mother happening in India. If you didn’t already see it, check out my facebook live video on my Visionary Lifestyle & Podcast page there.

Today our guest is Sri. Vijay Gopala. He is a certified Yoga Teacher. who has been teaching Yoga for more than 20 years and is also a personal trainer who provides one-to-one life transformation sessions and self-evolving programs. Born in Mysore, India, the capital of the Yoga world, from his childhood Vijay Gopala was drawn to the discipline of yoga thanks to his father who guided and taught him in a very serene atmosphere. He studied from his early age in all the branches of yoga. He went to University in Bangalore and has two Master Degrees in Philosophy and Yoga where he learned about religions and belief systems. His specialization is Bhagavadgita and Greek philosophy. He also has a post graduate diploma in development planning from the University of Mysore. Vijay Gopala traveled throughout India and has studied with many teachers as well as interacting with many knowledgeable people, and delivering lectures on many subjects.

He regularly travels to the West to impart yoga methodology which contains the finer qualities of both eastern and western life skills. Together with his life experiences it has made his teaching rich in expertise required for modern day life skills with the foundation of traditional strengthful inner qualities.

He is fully aware of each persons ability when they come to him, and he shares the teaching of Yoga with a rare warmth, humanity and wisdom required for any kind of transformation to take place. Teaching for him is a natural flow of sharing his experience and serve others and to contribute to the benefit of humanity.

Sri. Vijay Gopala is recognized as a Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT) with Yoga Alliance UK.

I met Vijay at The Bali Spirit Festival and felt so blessed to have this conversation with him.

I’m inspired by the depth of his wisdom and his gentle approach to sharing it.

This is a great episode for yoga teachers and practitioners to listen to because it’s full of yogic philosophy and enlightened perspectives about what yoga is and how it helps us to become more harmonious people in the world.

We cover a wide range of topics in this interview, and I took a lot of notes re-listening to it. I learn right along with you guys during these interviews.

We go deep on samskaras, yogic anatomy, ahimsa, presence, how yogis eat, the 8 limbs of yoga according to Patanjali, and even yogic advice for parents. You don’t want to miss this one, and you may just want to take notes.

I’m putting a bunch of his great nuggets of wisdom in the show notes so make sure to check that out, and I’m including a link to the version of Patanjali’s yoga sutras that I’m carrying around the world with me. Check for those on visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast.

Our guest today is Eoin Finn. Eoin Finn is a yogi, surfer and blissologist from Vancouver, BC. A philosophy graduate, he has been deepening his understanding of Meditation, Yoga and Eastern Philosophy since 1989. In the mid-nineties he moved to Maui and learned Ashtanga and Power Yoga and later Vinjana Yoga. He’s been teaching yoga for 18 years. Eoin is a karma yogi with a deep passion for the oceans, and a connection and reverence for nature, that is truly inspiring.

His yoga teacher trainings generally include a lot of education about the environment, as well as hands on projects to help clean and protect it.

His Ecokarma program is replacing endangered coral in Key Largo Florida and beyond.

Eion says “Karma is the offering of unselfish service – our offering to the world. I want us to connect our love for ecology with both the physical yoga practice and selfless service of Karma yoga. “

I caught up with Eion at the Bali Spirit Festival and we dropped in about the state of the oceans, the effects of overfishing and carbon on the oceans, and what it means to be a karma yogi.

He shares his love for nature, explains his main goal in life and guides us on his path of Blissology.

If you go back to my first episode and listen to the “7 steps of activating your highest potential” show , you’ll see that Eion really speaks to one of my points, which is seva, or being in service, sometimes known as karma yoga.

I’m really impressed with Eion’s dedication to educating and inspiring people to pay attention to what’ happening to the oceans, and empowering them to find their own inner power and voice to be the change we want to see in the world.

Take a listen and let me know thoughts. I’m always happy to receive emails from you guys.

Our guest today is Katchie Ananda. Katchie is an international Yoga and Dharma teacher whose life’s work has been to explore the practices of yoga and dharma and share their path to freedom with others. She has well over 10,000 teaching hours, spanning nearly 30 years as a full-time practitioner and trainer and she has developed numerous approaches to wisdom in body, mind and heart. Her eclectic background includes certifications in Anusara, Jivamukti, Integral, Ashtanga Yoga by Richard Freeman and many years of practice with Buddhist teacher and author Jack Kornfield.

At one point, Katchie was the co-founder/director of Yoga Sangha, a studio in San Francisco’s Mission district, dedicated to Yoga and Dharma. Under Katchie’s guidance, Yoga Sangha became a much beloved community center and attracted students who shared a concern for social justice and equality. In 2007 Katchie launched the powerful Spiritual Activation Series, a forum through which the yoga community could connect with well-known authors and activists such as John Robbins, Jack Kornfield and Julia Butterfly Hill. The goal of the series was to raise awareness about human and animal rights, the environment, social justice, and highlight the interconnectedness of Yoga and Dharma. In this same spirit, Katchie volunteered for many years at San Quentin, teaching yoga and Dharma to long-term inmates. Her leadership and example in yoga and social change prompted Yoga Journal to name Katchie one of five top yoga teachers making change in the world.

It was a rare treat to catch her in Bali because she doesn’t teach much at festivals or in small classes these days. I sat with her after taking two of her classes at the Bali Spirit Festival, because I was so impressed with her vast wisdom and open hearted teaching style.

In our interview Katchi talks about her journey and passion as a yoga teacher for nearly 30 years.

We discuss the value of a solo home practice, expressing the elements through your practice.

And how practicing yoga helps you trust your own inner authority, and can make the world a better place.

Check the show notes to find Katchie’s schedule, links to her book, and also her inspiring instagram account as well as soundcloud, which includes a large playlist of her yoga classes.

I found her energy incredibly sincere, uplifting and inspirational. I hope you do too. Enjoy the show, and namaste.

I’m very excited to introduce today’s guest, Xavier Rudd.

Since the very beginning, Xavier's ability to connect with people has been his most powerful gift. The more he has toured the world, the more hearts he has touched and the more of the world he has put back into his music.

Showcasing an ability to play several instruments at once, and Drawing inspiration from his ancestors, his music is unique and powerful, with a quickly growing worldwide audience.

His diverse and acclaimed career is going from strength to strength, with his message of global togetherness, acceptance and respect as well as his dynamic musical connection. He is quickly solidifying his place as one of Australia's greatest artists, activists and spirits.

I first heard his music during a meditation weekend in Ojai, California a couple years ago, and it immediately had a profound effect on my heart. I’ve since added it into my yoga playlists and my students always ask me what that amazing song was…..

Check the show notes and the second part of this show, to get a listen to that song….

Xavier and I connected in Bali where he was headlining the Bali Spirit Festival. We sat down just after the sound-check for his show, to discuss activism, yoga, and conscious eating, and Xavier explains why his music is an old woman. You’ll have to listen to the interview to understand that one…..

We talk about his biggest concerns in the world, the focus of his activism now, and what he feels is necessary to turn things around for the better.

As one might expect, I found him to be an awakened and present soul. I for one am so grateful for the way he is showing up in the world , using his voice and growing megaphone, to inspire the positive change that our planet so sorely needs now.

Make sure to stay tuned for my upcoming interview with Eoin Finn for more details about Xavier’s biggest concern, and the potential solutions to solve it.

I hope you enjoy it. Check out my instagram for some behind the scenes photos, and as always, check the website for show notes and links to things we discussed. Visit visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast

Kevin James is a chant leader from Australia who has developed from years of experience, the art of leading ecstatic chant and open heart connection with his voice, mantras and heartsongs.

He travels the globe constantly with the intention and vision of joining with others who feel the call to re-connect to source and remember who we are beyond the illusions of ego.

His intention is to contribute to the conscious movement using group gatherings of devotional singing of Mantras and HeartSongs to bring us to a closer connection to source.

Kevin believes from this state of being we can naturally and easily be kind and harmonious in our existence…

He says:

“It’s like a remembering. In a world where forgetting who we are has become normal, its destructive patterns have left us in an apparent life or death situation. We can remember together and support one another.”

After being turned on to his amazing music during a yoga class in India, through Divine Grace, I connected with him in Bali, and was blessed to have this time with him.

As a happy surprise, Kevin mentioned the Rainbow Gathering during the interview, and we had a deep discussion about what it is and what happens there.

By Divine alignment, I’m publishing this interview from the South of France and tomorrow I am on my way to a Rainbow Gathering in Italy, my first International Gathering, and I’m so looking forward to it, and of course, I’ll share about it with you when I return. It’s been a handful of years since I’ve been to a gathering and the idea of being back in that loving vibration really makes my heart smile.

I hope you enjoy this interview, and find some value in the medicine that Kevin is serving up. Make sure to check out the show notes to get links to his work. And hopefully, one day, you can find your way to a heartsong circle or retreat with him. I did make it to one of his offerings in bali before I left, where he walked us through the chakra toning exercise he talks about in the interview. I found it to be really deep and balancing, and I urge you to download it and give it a try yourself.

Hey there tribe, as promised, here is your homework, or as I want to call it, heartwork assignment that I talked about during my interview with Jai Jagdeesh. The invitation is to play and sing this song aloud, every day for 40 days. Since I first heard it and fell in love with this song, I’ve been singing it and sharing it as often and with as many people as I can, even singing it at an open mic in Thailand…..

The lyrics are so profound, and if you sing this with intention, as a solid affirmation of truth, I imagine one can’t help but be uplifted. Any time I’m feeling low, I put this on and it’s sets me straight. I’ve made it a morning practice at times, singing it straight out to a vast ocean at sunrise, and feeling so so blessed. I sing it with wild abandon sometimes as I walk on the beach, and don’t really care how I might sound to passers by. I just revel in my freedom that allows me the privilege of these sacred moments. , and I’m so grateful to Jai for writing, recording and sharing it with us.

I hope you find some peace and inspiration through this practice, and come to the deep understanding of your true nature, that you too,. Are the light of love.

I’d love for you to reach out to me and let me know the impact this has on you….

Namaste

Enjoy…..

Lyrics for Light of Love by Jai-Jagdeesh

I will climb into your ocean, I will sail into your shore,
I will breathe in your magnificence, and never ask for more,
I will be as I am written, courage on every page,

I will carve this life with every breath, a sage to the age,
I will turn up the fountain, and fill this world with bliss,
I will sing a song of joyful love and merge into your kiss,
And I will stumble into beauty, recognizing that it's me,
I will open up my heart, and surrender unto thee

I am the child, I am the mother
I am your bride, and your lover
I am everything, great and small
I am the one, I am it all
I am the child, I am the mother
I am your bride, and your lover
I am everything, great and small,
I am the one, I am it all

I Am
The Light
Of Love

I will dive into each moment, because I'll die as I was born
I will walk at peace with ease and grace, and float with the unknown
I will find the gift in everything, perfection in every way
I will bow at the altar, of this and every day
I can't promise not to feel some fear, or to always understand
But I'll be the change I wish to see, I will hold every hand
I am tangled up in beauty, I see clearly that it's me
I have opened up my heart, and surrender unto thee

I am the child, I am the mother
I am your bride, and your lover
I am everything, great and small,
I am the one, I am it all

I am your bride, and your lover
I am everything, great and small,
I am the one, I am it all

Our guest today is Jai-Jagdeesh. Jai is a Singer, Musician, Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Activist, and Change Maker

The daughter of two kundalini yoga teachers, at age 6 she began attending boarding school in India. At that tender age of 6, she formed her first group and started performing music at school events. Over the years she studied photography, was trained in dance, trained to be a kundalini yoga teacher, and even sidetracked into the Hollywood scene with an urge to be an actress.

But before too long she was led back to her true calling, using and expressing her voice through singing and composing music. Now she tours the world sharing her incredible voice and light at festivals and in concerts, and has released several albums.

She brings awareness and presence to everything she does, and being the change is in her blood.

She and her music have been hugely inspiring to me, and I was so happily surprised that she showed up at the Bali Spirit Festival. I got to see and listen to her perform live, which I highly recommend if you ever get the chance, I attended an “Authentic Voice” workshop she held, and gratefully, ultimately interviewed her for the show.

We recorded this episode in the lobby of the festival, with a view of lush Bali in front of us. We had a long and deep conversation about so many things that matter. We discussed true yoga, what a mantra actually is, the numerology cycles of life, deep wisdom gained from lessons learned, and even Donald Trump and the state of the world.

With tongue in cheek, she jokes about “getting her meds”, as in meditation. We talked about embracing the darkness in our lives, in order to appreciate the light. She shares one of her favorite books and believe it or not, she swears like a sailor. This episode is triple explicit so if you have small children around, please be aware. It’s unexpected from someone in her position, but as you’ll see in the interview, Jai is quite special. She’s a very old soul in a young woman’s body, with a fully activated inner child. You’ll see what I mean.

It was a true thrill and honor for me to spend this intimate time with this highly gifted soul.

As always, the show notes contain links to things we talk about and you can find that on the blog post at visionary-lifestyle.com

I also assign you a homework, or heartwork, assignment toward the end of the show, and I’m going to make a separate episode to follow this one, so you can find it easily. I hope you do it, and I look forward to your feedback about how it helps to activate your highest potential.

I hope you gain some insight and inspiration from this conversation. Thanks for listening.

Welcome to season 3 of the Visionary Liiestyle Podcast! I hope you enjoyed last season, and all those interviews I did in the Motherland of India.

This season was all recorded on the island of Bali Indonesia.

I’ve been hearing about Bali for years, and now I finally understand what the fuss is all about. Bali has a vibrant spiritual culture, and it seems like the whole island is one big heart chakra. Arriving there just after the rainy season, Everything was lush and green and felt so full of life force energy, or as we call it in yoga, prana.

I was fortunate enough to attend the Bali Spirit Festival where I met and interviewed a lot of activated presenters. I spoke to yoga teachers, famous conscious musicians, healers, and the founders of the festival itself. You’ll hear the sounds of Bali in the background, and hopefully be inspired and empowered by these conversations.

I have loads of episodes recorded for this season and several more, that are just waiting for post production. I’ll be getting them out as fast as I can, and as always, I look forward to your feedback.

Our guest today is Richa Prasant.

Richa was an HR executive in the corporate world with Hewlett Packard for years, when a deeper calling pulled her away. Today, she is the founder and Director of The Sunaayy foundation in Delhi, India.

She’s practicing karma yoga. In case you’re not familiar with that, karma means action, so this is the yoga of taking action that creates a positive result.

In the west, we have a common heartbreaking mental image of the starving children in the streets of India. Those of us awake enough to be moved by this issue often feel helpless. I know I did, when I was sitting in a car in Delhi, and lots of shoeless little children with runny noses came to the window begging for money. Thankfully, Richa Prasant is answering the call to meet the needs of some of these children who are coming from the slums in Delhi, and, is providing a way for us westerners to be involved as well. She says she considers herself a privileged Indian, recognizing that she’s been afforded many of the needs and luxuries not available to the majority of Indians today.

With this perspective, she felt called to share her good fortune and has created a foundation to offer support to these kids. The Sunaayy Foundation provides some structure for the kids, in the form of regular gatherings which include some basic education and nourishment, as well as a sense of belonging and community. Sunaayy Foundation is more community than spiritually oriented. I’ll let Richa explain more about how the kids are benefitting from her programs...

I was honored to be invited to celebrate Holi with Richa and her kids. Holi is a big holiday and celebration in India. It marks the first day of Spring, and is seen as a chance to restart, forgive, forget , make food, celebrate, it feels a bit like New Years eve. I joined with Richa and the kids, in throwing colorful powder all over each other laughing and dancing all the while. While it was fun to see the kids enjoying themselves, I have to say that at times and in certain little faces, I could sense an underlying unrest and distress. Make sure to check out the blog on the website for some photos of our day together.

What Richa is learning while practicing her karma yoga with these kids, is that when you give, you receive. And in this case, Richa says she’s receiving unconditional love.

If you’re as moved by this story as I am, there may be some way for you to help.

The Sunaayy Foundation Needs:

-YouTube support

-Video editing

-Cash donations

As always, there are links in the show notes to everything we talked about in this episode.

Find that at visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast.

Many thanks for listening. I hope this episode inspires some karma yoga in you!

Hi guys! I’m back from my break in the Spanish Desert. I went to a European Burning Man Festival Called Nowhere and had a lot of fun building a camp, feeding the build crew lots of high vibe conscious eating food at our camp, as well as teaching yoga, teaching the chakras, discovering awe inspiring creative projects and connecting with like minded people. I also lost my voice for 5 days because of the tremendous amount of dust and wind storms, so if my voice sounds a little off to you today, that’s why. I drove to Paris from Spain yesterday where I’ll be practicing some yoga , and maybe catching some interviews for the show, before I head back to Spain to attend the Yoga Conference in Barcelona where I hope to get some interviews as well. If you guys want to follow my yomad (as in yoga nomad) travel adventures, you can find me on instagram at Visionary Lifestyle Guide and of course the IG for the show at Visionary Lifestyle Podcast.

Today’s guest is Jules Febre.

Jules Febre was born and raised in a section of New York City known as the Lower East Side. At the age of 13, Jules spent three months in India; two of which were spent in Mysore studying Ashtanga Yoga with Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois. During that time he was invited to share satsang with Swami Nirmalananda and Shyam Das, two radical yogis that have each contributed greatly to the progression of yoga in the West. At the age of 16 Jules began working at the Jivamukti Yoga School helping to clean, and is now considered one of the leading teachers of the Jivamukti Yoga method, teaching the method world wide as well as facilitating at the very highly regarded teacher training programs.

Jules travels and teaches for a major part of each year, including Europe, Australia, Asia, and more. His classes offer a wide range and depth of understanding of Yoga Asana as well as Meditation, Chanting, and Yoga Philosophy.

Teaching yoga is Jules’ passion. He is grateful to his teachers, Sharonji (Gannon), Davidji (Life) who he has had the privilege of studying with for over 15 years, for igniting his devotion to the Jivamukti Yoga practice and for inspiring countless students around the world.

I met Jules in India where he was teaching at the International Yoga festival in Rishikesh, where we recorded this interview in a garden at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram. Jules is a bit different than most of the yoga teachers I’ve met. He has a wicked sense of humor, that he brings into his classes, and he’s clearly very well studied and only when he speaks do you realize his tremendous depth. In this interview we discuss the 5 Tenants of Jivamukti Yoga, the yogic perspective on Veganism, his experience Teaching in Correctional Facilities

Yoga Beyond the 8 Limbs, the importance of Planting Seeds, and Jules gives us a deep explanation of what it means to live the first tenant of yoga, Ahimsa.

As always, notes to things discussed are in the show notes, which you can find on the blog post for this episode at visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast

Enjoy and Namaste

Our guest today is a traveling monk known as Swami Paramadvaiti. He belongs to a monastic order from India, called the Vaisnava tradition, more commonly known as the Hare Krishna Movement. He began monastic life when he was initiated at the age of 18 by renowned spiritual master of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (the founder preceptor of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, commonly known as the "Hare Krishna Movement".)

Seven years later he accepted the vows of a traveling monk . He now travels the world staying in one place usually not longer than 3 days.

For more than forty years he has devoted himself to cover the world over, speaking about Vedic culture and its practical solutions to modern problems. In 1984 he established his own spiritual mission called VRINDA, the Vrindavan Institute for Vaishnava Culture and Studies, with the aim of spreading the cultural heritage of the Vedas around the world. In the same way, he has established more than thirty-five Eco Yoga Villages in South America and Europe, creating true Vedic spiritual oasis where people from different countries can have a profound approach to this sacred philosophy.

He calls himself a torch carrier for Pachamama, which is the word for earth in South America.

In this interview we speak of many things including a solution to the environmental crisis,

The United Nations of Spirit: which is Weaving a Tapestry of Consciousness and Love, and he gives us his perspective on the fact that despite cows being regarded as Divine in India, India remains the world’s largest exporter of beef.

We recorded this interview at the International Yoga Festival , sitting right next to the food tent, and unfortunately we incurred some noise from the clean up after lunch, but the Swami made a great joke just before I welcomed him to the show, that was right on point and brilliantly reframed my frustration with the noise, so I left it in for your enjoyment.

This man has a huge heart that you can see and hear from a mile away. He offers lots of wisdom for living a life of peace and harmony with the earth and all the sentient beings we share it with.

I hope you glean some nuggets of inspiration from listening to this wise soul, and I hope you’ll too be inspired to become a torch carrier for Pachamama.

I interviewed Andrea at The International Yoga Festival in India where she was one of the speakers. I’ll never forget that moment really and it was really special to have her there holding space for me.

In the interview Andrea goes deep on a lot of fascinating topics. VLP S2 06 Anandra George on the Yoga of Sound

Our guest today is Anandra George.

Anandra is a pioneer in the global yoga community, re-introducing the ancient practice of sound as a fundamental practice. She created the world’s first registered yoga teacher training based entirely on the transformational power of sound (including Sanskrit, mantra, Indian classical vocal meditation, and non-violent communication for everyday life). American by birth, Indian by soul, and global citizen by expression, Anandra helps people transform their limiting belief systems and cultivate their most fulfilling contribution to the world.

She divides her time between India, Japan, and on Kaua’i island, Hawaii, and teaches mantra workshops and intensives worldwide. For more than 20 years, she’s been on “the path” and has been teaching and seeing private clients since 1999.

An internationally respected mantra teacher and sacred musician, she is frequently invited to teach and lead chanting/kīrtan at the world’s largest yoga festivals.

In fact, Anandra and I did this interview during the IYF in Rishikesh, India where she produced the programming for the incredible sound stage.

The same morning of this interview I attended a beautifully intense and transformative sunrise morning meditation with her next to the Ganga river. This woman has magic in her!

Following this interview, I have found a whole new depth of understanding and appreciation for mantra and the yoga of sound. Anandra is offering up something really important and uniquely special.

I sincerely hope you get some inspiration to ramp up your voice and your practice after hearing this interview. There’s no doubt that I’ve caught the yoga of sound bug after spending this time with Anandra!

Enjoy….

Our guest today is Dr. Bruce Lipton. This is the 2nd part of our interview.

Dr. Lipton is an internationally recognized leader in bridging the gap between science and spirituality. He is a stem cell biologist, a bestselling author and a pioneer in biology and epigenetics. He has been a guest speaker on hundreds of TV and radio shows, as well as keynote presenter for national and international conferences. He’s the author of the bestseller “The Biology of Belief:Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter & Miracles”, as well as “The Honeymoon Effect: The Science of Creating Heaven on Earth”, and co-author of “Spontaneous Evolution: Our Positive Future and a Way To Get There From Here”.

Bruce teaches that belief is an energy field and that there are invisible forces influencing our lives, with 70% of them being negative and self-sabotaging. In this interview, he breaks down how 95% our lives are dictated by our subconscious programing, and towards the end of the show, he helps us understand the ways to reprogram ourselves.

We recorded this interview in his room at The Parmarth Niketan Ashram next to the Ganga River during the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh India. You’ll hear some background noise of the streets so I hope you can appreciate that we’re bringing India to you.

Our conversation was so long and deep, that I had to break it into two segments.

In the first segment we talk a lot about the state of the world, the 6th mass extinction on the planet, climate change, human behavior , food choices, and then we start getting into the science of Epigenetics.

In the second segment we get deeper into the biology of belief , how we’re run by our subconscious, yoga as a solution, and how we can become the masters of our own lives.

It’s a really deep discussion about how we go wrong with our thoughts, and then we tap into solutions to reprogram the subconscious. There’s a great nugget at the end that I really want everyone to do as homework!

This can really be a life changing episode for you so I urge you to listen to the whole thing and give it your full attention.

Today’s guest is Indu Sharma. Indu is a yoga instructor at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, India. She has a diploma in yoga and naturopathy, a masters degree in yoga, yogic science and human consciousness, and also a PHD in yoga. She teaches regular yoga classes at the ashram, is a featured instructor at The International Yoga Festival, and along with her mentor, Mata Ji, provides instruction for all the teacher trainings at the ashram.

http://www.parmarth.org/

Being trained and practicing yoga in the west, I was deeply called to India to experience the real thing. Risihikesh is known as the birth place of yoga, so what better place to dive in than there?

I met Indu when I became her student at daily 7am yoga classes when I arrived at the ashram during my first trip to India. I was excited to attend the classes there because I was seeking a truly authentic Indian yoga experience, and she provided exactly that. I was so inspired by her teaching and practice after asking her questions after class every day, I finally asked her to do this interview. She is so busy with her classes but was kind enough to squeeze in some time for this. I hope you can grab a notebook to take notes on this one because she shares a lot of wisdom.

Of course the show notes will have links to much of what we talk about as well.

And now, on with the show.

Our guest today is Sadhviji.

Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji, was raised in an American family in Hollywood, California and graduated from Stanford University . She was completing her Ph.D. in psychology when she left America in 1996 to come and live permanently at Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, India. She has been living there for the last twenty years, engaged in spiritual practice and dedicated service.

She has a really interesting story of how India claimed her as it’s own, and I urge you to check out the video that’s linked in the show notes where she explains it.

She was officially initiated into the order of Sanyas (monastic renunciation) in the year 2000, by her Guru, and the spiritual head of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, His Holiness Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji.

Sadhviji is a renowned speaker who gives keynote addresses at large forums, on a wide variety of topics ranging from conscious business to science and spirituality to sustainable development, to the keys of happiness and peace in life to all aspects of yoga. She has also been a speaker at the United Nations, Parliament of World Religions and many international conferences and summits. Her talks blend the knowledge and logic of the West with the insights, spirituality and wisdom of the East, and she is renowned as a spiritual bridge between the two cultures.

At Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh, where she lives most of the year, she gives spiritual discourses and daily satsang, teaches meditation, provides counseling and oversees a myriad charitable and humanitarian projects and activities.

Sadhviji is:

  • Secretary-General of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, an international interfaith organization dedicated to bringing clean water, sanitation & hygiene to the children of the world.
  • President of Divine Shakti Foundation, a foundation dedicated to bringing education and empowerment to women and children which runs free schools, vocational training programs and empowerment programs.
  • Director of the annual world-famous International Yoga Festival at Parmarth which has been covered in Time Magazine, CNN, New York Times, Le Monde and other prestigious publications.

Sadhviji has a Ph.D in Psychology and was the Managing Editor for the monumental project of the 11-volume Encyclopedia of Hinduism.

We did this interview deep in the heart of The Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh which serves as the home of The International Yoga festival and where I stayed for about 5 weeks .

Something you need to know about this interview and Sadhviji is that she has such a calm and warm presence, and as I was re-listening to this interview to edit it for you, I was wishing I had this on video, because I remembered how she had such a lovely smile on her face the whole time. She smiles with her eyes, you know what I mean, she has a really authentic presence,

You heard her bio, she a real activist and is doing so much sacred service to the world with all the projects she’s running, and I am truly honored I got so much of her time. I sat in her satsangs many nights while I was at The Parmarth Niketan Ashram, and every time she managed to bring me so deeply into my heart that I literally shed tears, every time. She has a way of speaking truth in a very practical way that anyone can understand. I encourage you to check out the Parmarth youtube channel and even tune into the facebook live videos of her leading satsangs to learn even more from her. I’ve provided links in the show notes.

In the interview we talk about the 8 limbs of yoga, the international yoga festival, the meaning of shakti, being of service, conscious eating, the dairy industry, the plight of the cows in India, meditation and more. We packed a lot in! I hope you enjoy spending this time with Sadhviji as much as I did. And make sure you make it to the end to hear her wish for the world. It’s a great one …

To follow her and learn more about her work in the world, make sure you check out the show notes for all the links.

Welcome tribe! This is the final episode of season one of the Visionary Lifestyle podcast! It feels really good that I succeeded in launching the show from india and publishing the first season , mostly recorder in LA, from here. I assure It was NO small feat with the snail slow internet and intermittent power outages! Love you Mother India!!!

Season 2 will launch very soon, and contains all the interviews I did at the International Yoga festival here in in Rishikesh. It’s completely packed with amazing conversations with saints and sages, and lots of the sounds of India. I got access to some very high level teachers who are dropping a LOT of wisdom so make sure you stay tuned in next season. So One of my huge take-aways from my time in India is that it’s NOT quiet! Ha My fantasies about meditating in a silent ashram were quickly squashed haha. The beauty of that though is it became a recurring conversation and a reminder lesson that we must seek the quiet within, and develop the ability to find our center and stillness anywhere we are, and no matter what is going on around us. This is true yoga.

In this episode I’m coming to you from a meditation hut in The Beatles Ashram, also known as the Maharishi Ashram in Rishikesh India. You’ll notice the sound quality difference in this and in future episodes , because I’m now recording out in the open on the road digital nomad style. So you’ll be getting a lot more sounds of the atmosphere. I hope you embrace that and can just think of it as me bringing the world to you:) I was stressed about having the best possible sound quality for you and eventually had to surrender to what I can’t control, which is random voices and sounds that sometimes found their way into the middle of interviews. You’ll see what I mean. I think it really adds to the charm of the interviews.

So I’m wrapping up this first season of the podcast with a heartfelt share about my time in india, which was a bucket list item that I’m really thrilled I can now cross off my list.

I’ll be sharing my insights as a first time yogi in India, as well as some practical packing and travel advice. This episode was recorded after my Ayurvedic panchakarma treatment, and just before the International yoga festival started. Look out for an interview with my amazing panchakarma doctor coming up in the next season, I’m really happy to be bringing you some deep insight about Ayurveda.

You can Check the show notes to find links to a lot of what I talk about in this episode.

And please get in touch with me and email me your feedback and questions to : Guide@visionary-lifestyle.com I’d looooove to hear from you!

Have you guys rated and reviewed the show in itunes yet? I can’t tell you how much weight that carries in terms of helping the show reach more people that need to hear this content.

I want to give shout outs to some of our generous rainbow warrior patrons supporting us on Patreon,: Steven Starr, Michelle Dohrn, Johann Urb, Kim Debus and Gracie Gold who also goes by rainbow! With your support guys we can continue publishing the show and with more people jumping in to support we can expand our reach and add all the episodes of the show to soundcloud and maybe even soon add an additional weekly show. Tribe, There is SO much in the pipeline heading your way the next two season! Season 2 is all in India as i said, and season 3 is all recorded in Bali, mostly at The Bali Spirit festival, and we’re talking super high vibration conversations packed with tools and resources to you know what...activate your highest potential, that’s right.
