Dane Vignjevic is the epitome of a self-made person. Born into a first-generation immigrant family, Dane has had a career in just about everything – from electrical work to pattern making to starting his own textile company. Eden Murrie is the Chief Executive Officer for Operation Stand Down Tennessee (OSDTN), a veterans’ resource non-profit. Prior to assuming this position, Eden was a Director at the Partnership for Public Service, a Washington DC non-profit. Previous to this role, Brigadier General Murrie culminated a 29-year Air Force career as the Director of Air Force Services in Washington DC. She has senior executive experience including working on the National Security Staff for the White House, serving on the staff of a Member of Congress, developing and executing a $2 billion portfolio of worldwide programs and leading multinational organizations. Additionally, a master navigator with over 2400 flying hours, her flying career included serving as an instructor in 3 different aircraft. Beyond business endeavors, Eden is a board member for The Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation, Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes, Centerstone Military Services and the Davidson County Veterans Court Foundation. Additionally, she is an adviser for the Nashville YWCA Dress for Success program. Michael Collins is a multi-award winning columnist writing for his hometown paper, The Mountain Press, since 2013.
He resides in his “beloved” Kodak community of Sevier County, TN with his wife, three lovely daughters, and a delightful son with autism for whom he also serves as faithful sidekick in heroic adventures, fellow Monster Truck connoisseur, eBay shopping facilitator, RC monster truck mechanic, Lego Dimensions tech support, editor and publisher (see Jacob’s blog entries here), best buddy and advocate. Together, he and Jacob were awarded second place for the best blog of 2017 by the East Tennessee Chapter of The Society of Professional Journalists.
In addition to writing, Michael is a Certified Public Accountant and utilizes his skills to further his passion for non-profit organizations. He serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the Sertoma Center in Knoxville providing services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, in addition to having served on the Board of Directors of the East Tennessee Chapter of the Autism Society of America from 2003 to 2005 and again from 2014 to 2017 as the Treasurer. Reggie Ford is the founder and president of RoseCrete Wealth Management, a financial services firm that provides investment management and financial planning strategies for affluent young professionals and athletes.

He is a frequent speaker before national and international corporations, regional and national conferences, local and state government entities, and collegiate and national sports programs, including the National Football League and Major League Soccer. Foster is also the author of "What Hurt Didn't Hinder." A story of perseverance, showing that it's possible to reconstruct what it means to be a man, embrace our diversity, and raise everyone up in the process.
Foster graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development in 2008. During his time at Vanderbilt, Foster was named SEC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year, All-SEC four years in a row, NCAA Division I All-America, and played for the USA Team in the 2007 Pan American games held in Rio De Janairo, Brazil. He was the Lowes Senior CLASS award winner, an award given to the nations senior leader in community, classroom, character, and competition. Foster finished his collegiate basketball career as the all-time leading scorer in school history and was drafted into the NBA by the Dallas Mavericks in 2008. He was inducted to the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in 2009, Vanderbilt Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010 and was honored as an SEC Legend during the 2016 SEC Basketball Tournament.

As a black child born in 1971, Ben was adopted in Seattle and raised by white parents in a tough neighborhood in East Vancouver. He experienced relentless violence, bullying, and racial discrimination.
As a way to overcome fear and self-loathing, Ben became a competitive boxer, wrestler, and bodybuilder. These positive outlets allowed Ben to channel his hurt, anger, and frustration, eventually owning a gym, helping others as a successful personal trainer and mentoring youth as a community care worker.

Richard Casper is a United States Marine Veteran, Purple Heart recipient, Artist, and Entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and Executive Director of CreatiVets, a non-profit that provides art, music, and writing programs for combat veterans with post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries. He is also the co founder of two music companies, Casparr and We Should Write Sometime.
Richard was named one of TIME magazines Next Generation Leaders, is the feature of TIME’s documentary Evidence of Things Unseen, and recognized by President George W. Bush and The Bush Institute for his passion and work helping combat veterans. He was one of thirty-three scholars chosen to be in Presidents Bush’s Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program.
Richard served in the USMC from 2003-2007. During the first portion of his enlistment, Casper served as Presidential guard at Camp David. Later in 2006-2007 during his tour in Iraq, Richard survived four IED blasts which left him with a left-traumatic brain injury and witness the death of his friend which caused his post traumatic stress. After nearly giving up, he discovered art and song-writing as therapeutic forms of expression, and went on to attend and graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. From his experiences, he later created art and songwriting programs for CreatiVets to help other combat wounded veterans heal.
Today, Richard has taught art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the University of Southern California. He is a keynote speaker, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He resides in Nashville TN with his wife Ashley and son Barrett.

Michael Bartz is an actor as well as the producer and host of the In Over My Head podcast, an interview-style show where he talks to environmental experts about how we can all effectively reduce our impact on the planet. The show revolves around Michael trying to lessen his footprint by building his own 175 square foot off-grid Tiny home. He and his partner Sara and their cats are living "Tiny" on a farm in Alberta, Canada.
Over the course of the build, Michael also hosted some over 50 people from around the world through Couch-surfing. A Serbian American from Croatia, Aleksandar (Aleks) Djuricic immigrated with his parents to the Chicagoland area as a child, where he was raised with his brother, Djordje. Before law school, Aleks earned a B.A. in political science with a minor in professional writing from DePaul University and a post-baccalaureate certificate in paralegal studies from Roosevelt University. In 2017, Aleks and his spouse, Aleksandra, moved from Chicago to Indianapolis to pursue their professional degrees.

Paige Carter considers herself to be a Florida-Tennessee hybrid native. Having spent the same amount of years living in both states, Paige would tell you her personality is sunny like the Sunshine State but ‘bleeds orange,’ like many who are alumni of the University of Tennessee.
Following a 7-year journey to break into the Human Resources world, Paige has worked in various Human Resources functions on her way to running a Human Resources department for a community bank in middle Tennessee. Before working in the finance industry, Paige worked in the insurance industry focusing primarily on group health insurance and customer service in that field.
Paige’s specific interest in health insurance can be derived from having had multiple open heart surgeries in her less than 3 decades of life. Born with congenital critical pulmonary stenosis, Paige survived not having a properly working pulmonary valve when she was born because of timing and luck. Since that time, Paige has devoted much of her time researching and keeping up to date on the latest health insurance services and regulatory updates, while trying to effectively communicate these changes to clients and employees.

In early 2017, Jimmy along with his wife Megan founded NoBaked Cookie Dough, a dessert company in Nashville, TN that specializes in making gourmet, safe-to-eat cookie dough. In a little over three years since starting out as a small online store and pop up shop, NoBaked has grown into a thriving e-commerce operation and also operates scoop shops in 4 states.
Ohio native Jimmy Feeman graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN in 2015 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Prior to NoBaked, Jimmy worked at Jackson National in the sales and marketing department for variable annuities. Kyle Gillette is the owner of Gillette Solutions a leadership training, team building, and personal development business.
After a mission trip to India with a friend, Kyle was introduced to a live-in men’s mentoring program called Alpha Academy. His passion for coaching started to take shape and set the stage for shifting from coaching and training the body to the mind.
After graduating from Cal Poly State University he moved into a full-time position at Alpha Academy working with 18-25-year-old young men who were stuck or lost in life and seeking direction and hope.
After relocating to the Pacific Northwest Kyle was hired as the Human Resources Director at Christ the King Church in Bellingham where he was introduced to the DISC assessment tool.
It became apparent how profoundly the DISC tool could empower communication and connection between people and within organizations. These tools, combined with his love of coaching, was the catalyst for moving beyond volunteer mentoring and starting Gillette Solutions in 2017.
When not working with clients, Kyle is out hiking or as an avid racquetball player, you can find him on the courts. During winter months, time is spent cross-country skiing and getting snowy hikes in with his family.

Joel DeSantis and Jovica sit down to discuss "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl. Psychiatrist Viktor Frankl's memoir has riveted generations of readers with its descriptions of life in Nazi death camps and its lessons for spiritual survival. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of others he treated later in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose. Frankl's theory-known as logotherapy, from the Greek word logos ("meaning")-holds that our primary drive in life is not pleasure, as Freud maintained, but the discovery and pursuit of what we personally find meaningful.
At the time of Frankl's death in 1997, Man's Search for Meaning had sold more than 10 million copies in twenty-four languages. A 1991 reader survey for the Library of Congress that asked readers to name a "book that made a difference in your life" found Man's Search for Meaning among the ten most influential books in America.

Jack has been a hard driving, high performer his whole life. Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America when he was 13, reaching Vigil Honor in the Brotherhood of the Arrow by 18. Graduated as Senior Class President of a Catholic seminary, and then from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH with a major in Economics and minor in Military Science in only 3 years. As a Regular Army officer, he served four years on active duty, mostly in the 4th Infantry Division where he made Captain.

Darius E. Moore is a Partnership Manager for PENCIL—a longstanding education nonprofit in Nashville Tennessee. Through his work at PENCIL, Darius strives to bridge the gap between the generosity of volunteers, and the skills and support that the Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) need to help local students grow and succeed. Darius helps to spearhead the Partnership Team’s efforts at PENCIL as they research, recruit, link, manage and maintain relationships from the private sector, other nonprofits, and faith-based organizations; with MNPS to ensure a positive experience for all students and volunteers involved. He has been instrumental in the forming or management of over 400(+) Partnerships to date.
Darius is the son of a retired military vet—his father—and a teacher—his mother—who have been married for almost 40 years. They reside in West Tennessee; where Darius grew up. He is the third of five children, and has two nieces and one nephew. Darius is the proud father of his daughter Lacy, and is engage to Lacy’s mom and his longtime girlfriend—and now fiancée—Felicia. Eric is originally from the small underrepresented town of Helena, AR. Growing up, he didn't have the glamorous lifestyles that one would hope for. Being raised in a harsh environment motivated him to escape what surrounded him and discover the true potentials of life.
Seeing his late mother (Gloria) consistently working and sacrificing but yet still barely making it through inspired him to venture off into his journey as a young entrepreneur immediately upon graduating from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in December of 2016.

Jackson Boyd has personally trained over 250 clients and has taught in group fitness settings of over 40 athletes at a time. He recently made the move to TruMav Fitness – a studio in Nashville owned by Tim McGraw, and Wirth Campbell. He personally trained his cousin, Alexandra Harper for the 2018 Miss. Tennessee USA pageant, which she won and went on to place top 10 in the 2018 Miss. USA pageant. Both men and women have seen the overwhelming results by following the plans that Jackson creates.

Freddie Scott II is a second generation pro athlete as well as a sought after speaker on issues pertaining to family and the importance of fatherhood. Freddie has advocated for the fatherless children and their families for more than a decade.
Today he serves as a certified NFL Transition Coach and part of the NFL Player Engagement Ambassador Program. Freddie travels the country providing life skills and professional development training for NFL players (past, present and future).
As a nationally certified counselor in Mental Health Aid and Suicide Prevention, Freddie works with the NFL’s domestic violence awareness initiatives, conflict resolution workshops and leadership training. His work has been acknowledged by the NFL Players Association who awarded him the 2013 Kenny Washington Award.
Freddie’s life goal is very simple – lead by example. His tools to help parents and their children come not only from research but also his own life experiences as a husband, a father and a pastor.

Robert Blagojevich, a small business owner and Real Estate Investor in Tennessee, is the author of 'Fundraiser A: My Fight for Freedom and Justice' (NIU Press, April 2015). This gripping memoir tells Robert's side of the events that transpired in 2009, when he was indicted along with his brother, then governor Rod Blagojevich, on federal corruption charges, after serving as head of Rod's fundraising operation. They were accused of attempting to sell Barack Obama's former senate seat to the highest bidder in 2008.
In an era of heightened awareness of government surveillance and the danger of the unchecked power of federal prosecutors, Robert's book bears a vital message. Though the charges against him were ultimately dropped, Robert faced financial ruin and the destruction of his reputation in the trial, an excruciating experience that taught him about the need for Americans to defend their civil liberties and hold their public officials accountable. He hopes to spread the importance of that knowledge through 'Fundraiser A'.
Robert has been actively involved in community service for his entire working career. He was on the board of trustees for the University of Tampa from 1998-2004. In May, 2008, Robert was the commencement speaker at graduation.
