One of the most influential DJs in the Middle East, maDJam has helped put Dubai and Beirut on the global dance music map.
With more air miles than Richard Branson thanks to his busy weekend club schedule, he’s a headline act in his native Beirut as well as in cosmopolitan Dubai, the region’s two party hubs. Alongside that, he holds down regular spots in Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait. He’s been an ever present on the Creamfields Abu Dhabi line up, one of the few GCC DJs who can hold their own on the main stage infront of 15,000 people next to heavy hitters like David Guetta, Hardwell and Deadmau5.
DJing in 1992 from the age of 10, Ahmad Ajam – re-arranged to form his DJ name maDJam – started rocking school parties and quickly progressed through the local scene to become an industry leader in Lebanon. His ‘Club Frequency’ show has been airing weekly on cult station Mix FM in Lebanon since 2000, while he’s also presented and recorded his own in-flight radio show for Emirates airline.
He was an instrumental part in the growth of Beirut and Dubai’s club scene at the turn of the millenium. He was one of two residents at Peppermint Dubai, the first house party to properly break into the city, DJing before and after industry titans like Carl Cox, Sasha, Digweed, Ferry Corsten and Tiesto to thousands on a weekly basis. Back in Beirut, he helped curate the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project and played virtually every club and bar worth their weight in tequila.
With an incredibly versatile house sound, maDJam constantly straddles the cool and commercial divide, happy to take in ambient, deep and progressive influences, as well as funk, electro, techno and pretty much everything else in between. And it’s a very in-demand sound, with maDJam a regular at events like the Red Bull X Fighters and Red Bull Air Race. He’s also a Pioneer DJ ambassador for the Middle East, helping develop software and hardware for the Japanese giants.
It’s always the music that matters the most, however. “No matter where you go on this planet you will find good dance music. The promotion and production are the essential elements to support any scene, and that’s where I love to focus my effort in getting as involved as possible with all things so people have a good time listening to music that I love” says maDJam.

Friends for the past +35 years and here to another +35 years ahead! Pool party of summer 2026 in Bekaa, same magical spot is finally back in the groove this year with so many friends we haven't seen for ages together again. Started at 12noon went on til 12 midnight, with 1 typical Lebanese power cut somewhere in the middle, but we recovered n kept it going. Thank you to Dalal Steel for uniting us again!

Much needed afterhours session together at The Hole Beirut in these rough weeks we've had in Lebanon, a good energy escape from all the drama. Some deep messages in these tracks for those that pay attention to lyrics, very relevant to us here at the moment. Great reviving some classics from the decades of underground music for 2026, towards the end 10am!
Back with the OGs at Brazzaville (Beirut) for another time-machine night, 5 hours of (mostly) 90s/2000s tunes we were addicted to in school, high school and college. Strictly +28 on the door, average age was us in our 40s singing along through the 3rd verse! Great fun!!

Opening weekend for Beirut's newest cozy speakeasy "Few" located under Monday's Off- behind a vending machine, underground, soundproofed and loads of fun celebrating the "Z-twins" bday too!Full 6 hours from chill to build-up, music for chicks, then afterparty TechHouse and cooling down by the curfew.
Finally back together in Beirut after 2 rough months on a "invite-only" rave at HNGR an amazing venue we used to do in 2017-2019. With a lot of strain on most Lebanese spirits this was an excellent much needed come-back for everyone that needed a release of energy- awesome crowd from 20s through 50s dancing it out til the early morning.
Back in Qatar warming up for my buddy Carl Cox on his first ever trip to Doha- been supporting a lot of his Middle East gigs for 2 decades and was sweet being back together thanks to Mayfair Presents!Around 3,000 people filled up the grass at the Doha Golf Club can hear them coming in fast by the end of this short but fun warmup- some classics/remixes for good measure- great night!
September's finale in Beirut, Lebanon before the conflict expanded- was the last chance we had to let it out as the tension in the whole country was on edge. We'll be back to this soon, even if in private

This space is a flashback to the 90s raves we held across Beirut yet hard to believe 1/2 the crowd wasn't born yet- so nice to bring the generations together at Recess!
Back on the roof of a residential area of Sioufi, Achrafieh Beirut for a 1970s-2023 hippie party bringing life-loving spirits together all the way until the rain came pouring down on cue at curfew time- no cops showed up, yet!The happiest place in Beirut on Saturday October 14, 2023- peace & love from Lebanon!
First time at the new Madhouse on the 6th floor overlooking the port area of Beirut. This is the 4th warmup for Cosmic Gate in over 20 years, sound has obviously changed so we've all adapted to a deeper, more trippy/suspenseful sound with loads of new tracks and a few classic remixes for good measure. Big thanks to FiveOutManagement for making this event happen especially reuniting the OG ravers from the late 90s/2000s even those with kids got this one night/morning to release and relive their lives.
Warming up for Rebuke & first time finally doing Soho Garden Dubai at the Palm Jumeirah location- incredible crowd, sound, lights and energy all in one spot. This slot was confirmed at the last minute through 3 airports & very little sleep, but thankfully was all worth it!Been doing Dubai for 20 years and last felt this adrenaline at the former Peppermint Experience events that were around from 2004-2016- Soho is on the next level!
Round 3 of our monthly Fridays together at Hide Doha- really sorry just forgot to get the audio recorded properly... managed to salvage the 4 crowd mics but hey at least the music is still there just a little too "live" energy from that incredible crowd. Some new tunes, some signature ones for the night at (presumably) is the best built club in the Middle East!!
Over 2,000 people packed into BluBay on Saturday September 2nd for Ash live (on keyboard, sax, guitar and drums!) followed by good friend Hrag Mikkel that I took on from for a short but fun set later at night. Beach vibes, nice summer breeze, palm trees and peach puff ALL THE WAY!
Crazy 5 hour extended set at the original B018 Beirut going all the way to 7 in the morning with the hot summer sun and retractable roof opening up to the skies from the bunker below. Loads of fresh tracks, some received only a few hours before getting started as we release the energy in Beirut... 23 years of playing B018, same spot with lots of love!

Forestronika Lebanon is back in full swing! 45-min drive away from Beirut up & then back down the Chouf mountains towards the river, nestled in a little valley with everyone coming for a good escape from the usual. First sunset of this 3-day festival started off going from deep to afro/melodic as the sunlight faded away and the stage lights slowly came on. I'm a sucker for sunsets and sunrises ;) Thanks to the Forestronika family for bringing back one of Lebanon's favorite festivals that breaks all stereotypes!

Back at Hide Doha, Qatar's properly built and operated MegaClub this time in the peak-heat of the summer with humidity outdoors close to 100% while this huge indoor spot was perfectly reflecting the energy. Usually summers empty out a bit in the gulf countries but this was a nice surprise- felt like the whole city was here dancing it out til 2:02am. Some new tunes, some classics all squeezed in for time. My new favorite MEGAclub in the Middle East!
Celebrating 23 years of playing this exact spot B018 Beirut! So many clubs have come & gone over the decades while this magical location still holds a special place in our hearts. Now some members of the crowd are born AFTER my first set here in the year 2000, but all get immersed into the vibe & the roof that opens up to the stars & sunrise. We love the original B018 Beirut!

Usually used to doing extended sets til the end, but this was a nice treat: getting on at peak and sustaining the energy through sunrise to keep that crowd going til 7am. After close to 23 years of doing B018 Beirut, here is my first time at B018 Dubai! It not only looks like the original Beirut bunker but the Dubai club even has the same energy though with a 5am curfew vs Beiruts no-curfew. Still they got the ceiling lights that create a "virtual" sunrise so felt like home!Thanks to everyone that showed up even on a weeknight and the incredible team at 7 management that made this night possible, see ya again very soon!
Back on this same legendary rooftop (sorry can't reveal which one!) for an awesome annual Beiruty Halloween party! Setup by Wonderlab, audio by Turbosound, right combo of cool, fun, sexy Lebanese all squished into one spot and for once the cops didn't come, yeyy!

Sorry abused the mic a bit but tried to squeeze as much energy in this before the 2am curfew. We did get 1 bonus track (4 min) at the very end which was a nice treat (and quite rare!)

After 22 years of playing in this same space, here is another fantastic morning at the "bunker" B018 Beirut or otherwise known since 1998 as the "tombstone" where we always love dancing until wayyyyyyy past sunrise!
Other places/clubs may come and go, but this Beiruty location has a certain unexplained magic to it!
A fully rebuilt, revamped and refreshed Iris Beirut is back! One of the most beautiful rooftops anywhere with an upgraded soundsystem, new DJ booth and loads of DJs on rotation each adding their own vibe to this magical spot. Here's the first late set of the season opening night on Friday April 29, 2022. Excellent weather, crowd and of course the signature bubbles in breakdowns.
Back at it with the new inverted layout of B018 Beirut, same great vibe of the 2006-2009 DJ booth location! The mindtrip lasted for some parts, then we felt a few classics and of course as the sun came up during the sandstorm we were grooving to Tech House, new + old, all the same energy!
Finally back at Sporting Club, Beirut- last time was way back in 1996 when this space was my favorite Indian restaurant- Maharaja! Well since that closed years ago, it's now been fully revamped to an upscale club... actually more like a giant house party than a club. So many friends we haven't seen since pre-covid blah blah... made it loads of fun & joined by the wife Chloe H for even more housey, trippy, booty shaking happiness!
Almost a year since the last Rise & Raise event, thankfully we don't need to keep these raves secret anymore! Sunday after dark session with some of us being awake for a 3rd day and still going! Thanks to Rise & Raise again for bringing us together for another fantastic day through night :D

Got an urgent last minute request to fill for the Foo Fighters cancellation at Yasalam Abu Dhabi's FormulaOne weekend season closing party where Martin Garrix & DJ Snake were also added as headliners.
Barely got 2 hours of sleep from that call, PCR, PCR, PCR & made it! Despite everything 17,000-strong crowd filled up the Etihad Arena and we're full of such incredible energy from the warm up to the end.
Obviously this is a giant arena, so sorry Techno heads this is a big room/mainstream sound to balance out the night with the headliners and might not be your cup of tea or can of Red Bull.
We even nicknamed it a "mini microwaved Creamfields" and felt great to be back in the same spot with the same team 12 years on!
First experience with newcomers to the Lebanese scene Minus Zero- at an underground club in Dbayye. 3 hour set could've easily done double ;) Next time!
Fantastic Friday night/Saturday morning at the original B018 Beirut with a shorter set than usual warming up for Agents of Time in Beirut that went all the way to 8am!
All Beirut's party people went to some sort of Halloween party or two then they came to B018. Special night with the Rubik team's wild jungle decor hanging from the ceiling & random dinosaurs on the dancefloor felt right for the classic "Welcome to The Jungle" towards the end around 9am. The original 2006 B018 residents Gunther & Stamina also on the line up & my own residency here over 20 years ago at this exact spot... city has changed, world has changed but this afterhours is still going strong, gotta love it!
Wild rave at one of Lebanon's best amusement parks for Halloween 2021! Few of us actually wore costumes, but in the end we were surrounded by wild rides and stomping feet on the pavement. Great fun with the Digital Path team!
Seriously now... WAIT FOR THE END! Another fantastic night/sunrise @Beirut's quarter century legendary bunker club B018. Some weird noise-infused tracks sound great on headphones, speakers, gyms, cars... as long as it's LOUD!
Back with Thirt13n crew, the only team that know how to avoid all lockdowns and keep our spirits alive! SpaceShuttle has been grounded since 2011, waste of NASA & taxpayers budget- Soviet Buran only ever made 1 journey in 1988 and even that was unmanned- we keep the spirit of the "orbiter" in our hearts 10 years on with the "Space Shuttle" a round-trip flight up (800 meters) high and back down to earth. Crowd as always deliver the right energy exchange that even nuclear fission/fusion cannot provide!

Beautiful Saturday sunset for the first time with the team of Atrium Lebanon at Puncho Resort on the cliffside of Amchit in North Lebanon. Quite windy, but beautiful weather and location!
Oh wow, what a location this was! Secret mountain rave about 1,800m above sea level = cool air breeze, no humidity & beautiful view of the stars all night.
In order for us to keep surviving in this country these rave are essential at uniting people that are dealing with so many daily issues in life... Raves are the release of energy and human togetherness-
Mindtrip and some peaktime bangers here tried to reduce the little slapback echo/delay from the main soundsystem on the recording, hope it sounds good to your ears as we did way up there!
Oh yes, another mountain rave in Lebanon- again not going to mention where or who but week-by-week as the nation falls into chaos these secret raves are the only thing keeping us sane (insane?) at a time when it's much needed and 99.99% of people are just riding the wave of fear/uncertainty.
We will always find a way to make these events happen... release of tension is much needed and appreciated, now more than ever <3
The only way to continue doing what we do is to keep it all secret... invitation only raves are the way forward, no post-covid19 social media snitches cause they're bitches anyway.

FINALLY! After years and years of planning a back2back with my good buddy Jason Kaakoush, we settled on a Saturday night at one of Beirut's finest afterhours ProjeKt. Many have requested we do a set together since we have a lot in common musically, but dates never worked. The club had to open early at 10pm instead of midnight due to the potential 3 am curfew. Thankfully the club filled up fast, we paced our set and even earned an extra hour thanks to Rabih K! Incredible fun, balance and we even loaded the same tracks at almost the same time- seriously like WTF? :D
We'll be doing more of these when/where possible fo sho!
After 3 attempts, M(other)O(f)A(ll)P(arties) finally happened on Christmas day in Beirut! Great seeing so many of the OG Armenian raver crew together for an awesome energetic event. Big thanks to MOAP despite the rest of the series getting canceled due to government lockdowns/restrictions or whatever it was... at least we had fun!
12-12-20... Reaching the end of a rollercoaster year full of surprises- on a positive note raves have become more sacred and private yet loaded with intense energy. The night was put together in less than 2 days with no announcements other than Whatsapp messages filtering a limited number of die-hard ravers to a location that was only given out few hours before it all got going. If this is the way forward, so be it- no one got sick, not even a stuffy nose (maybe a few hangovers) life goes on and raves like this will continue to happen in secret
After weeks of venue & date changes due to government restrictions "Glow Garden" finally happened in a secret location that was only sent a few hours before we started. Thanks again to Thirt13n Management & Lebanese Ravers for pushing ahead with this awesome night/morning despite all the challenges.
Twas the first night of November at Nomad beach back2back with the wife, all party people were PCR negative ensuring we had a good time with an unexpected light rainshower, cleansing our spirits. Fantastic fun in a year that has been anything but normal, with a summer that has gone on til November!
Wildest wedding of the year with Nemer & Val of Uberhaus/Garten/Discotek Beirut Lebanon in a special secret valley in the Lebanese mountains. Only the most amazing of people including some we haven't seen all year together for one incredible celebration! Started at 8pm ended at 9am!
On the eve of (yet) another lockdown... we rave! Lebanon has been going through so much this year, the only happiness comes from these few hours to really release the tension.

In the electronic music nightlife scene of Lebanon- it is the non-managerial employees who rely on daily income rates and tips from customers to sustain their livelihood. The runners, cleaners, bartenders, waiters. All the staff that put the show up and take the show down, that cater to every need. We are powerless to help without the ability to open our doors. We feel a sense of urgency and responsibility.
The final daytime event in Lebanon for a while as we hibernate to avoid Covid19/Coronavirus. Back up at 1,800 meters above sea level in the Dublin Room for the annual (5 year anniversary) Ice Breaker 2020. Was quite a challenge getting up/down from the middle of a ski slope, but so worth the wet shoes and leg cramps! Let's hope this phase passes safely so we can continue to dance together soon <3

A last minute booking at one of the biggest clubs in the Middle East Space Sharm El Sheikh was a nice surprise! The crowd in Egypt are loud and proud, really enjoyed playing here and will be back for sure!
3rd year on the opening night of Chill Oposite festival! One of our favorite gatherings of the coolest people in (The City Of Gold) Dahab, Egypt that we always look forward to every year. It's been almost 3 years since our last "trip" to Beirut's infamous Trainstation and this summer the setup is tight, intimate and located in an old war-damaged train service building that has no roof! Perfect spot to start the night, took over from Nadi at 11:30 went on past the 2am curfew ;) More fun coming this summer!
Almost a year since the last "first impression" of the amazing Dublin Room at Frozen Cherry in the mountains of Lebanon. This space is comprised of 2 containers placed side-by-side with glass windows looking down to lower altitudes. This warm up set took over from @Anton building up for the main set with Noemi Black and went all the way til 8am! Another banging Sunday with the One40 crew at the newly renovated Koa Beach Bar in Kaslik, just north of Beirut. This time took over from Rabih Rizk at 10pm for a set that was supposed to end at midnight but we obviously took it on just a little bit longer with the cool down at the end past 1am. Fantastic fun at our favorite family gathering on Sunday!

Crazy massive Sunday with the One40 family, this time a 14 hour party with 18 DJs was the incredible finale of the ODC series! Short 1 hour set here, a break from the normal 2-3 hour sets but being 11 hours into the party felt a mind-trip was on time. Big thanks to all the fellow DJs for sustaining a thousand people for so many hours, each and every week! Big summer ahead ;)
After years of waiting, Ferry Corsten finally made it back to Beirut! Since the mid-2000s, Ferry would fill up arenas with close to 9,000 people. This return special at HNGR Beirut on the eve of Mayday (Labor day/International Workers day) was truly special! Started off with some ambient/chill into downtempo electronica, deep house, small room, big room and a few classics before Ferry took over. Enjoy this as much as we did at HNGR Beirut!
9 months since the last ProjeKt set, and so worth the wait! We got ready at 11:45pm 15 min later it turned to 1am thanks (or not) to Lebanon's following of daylight savings (DST). Crowd filled in nicely, energy also got going gradually and could've gone on for a few more hours easily! Downloads always enabled, enjoy this as much as we enjoyed being there!

Always love going back2back with Romax hence the title "MadMax" playing some classics and recent funky tunes all night long with a few special live shows/dancers. Also a perfect night to have had so many friends all back in Beirut for the holidays! Such a fun night at Discotek, enjoy!

After the huge Trance legacy that Lebanon dominated in the region for over a decade, the country finally got a revival of what used to be. To everyone's surprise a full capacity HNGR showed up for Cosmic Gate in what was years of absence. Fantastic seeing so many old 'raver' faces again and great energy as we warmed up the night. First time we get to ProjeKt Afterhours so early that the houselights were still on as the staff prepared the club for 10 hours of mayhem! Another fantastic sunrise this year at FLOAT with Beirut In The Mix. What started at 12noon on a Friday ended with this final 2 hours on Saturday at 6am. This is one of the coolest places to party where Romax & myself go back2back all night long going back and tracing our roots in house music. First Friday of the year went down a storm at Discotek with my long-time friend and trusted funkmaster Romax. We've been wanting to do a back2back for over a decade and the timing was just right. A fun party with loads of friends and family and cousins and cousins kids showed up this night... love it!

An excellent escape to Dahab, Egypt for a 3-night/4-day music festival featuring live bands, DJs and graffiti artists. This was the closing set from the opening night of "Chill Oposite Festival" featuring a mixed crowd of Jordanian, Egyptian, Palestinian, Armenian, Tunisian and Lebanese party people. Looking forward to the next installment in 2018!

Haven't been back to Zaarour in over 20 years, and what a surprise this was! Incredible venue located on the ski slopes at 1,900m above sea level with an awesome crowd that fueled the excitement in the set. The location really inspired more "mind trip" and serious techno tracks, with a few classics towards the end... oh and the speech at the end was also recorded if you make it that far ;) Thanks to DigitalPath and Frozen Cherry & all the fun loving people that made it all the way up... will be back soon!
Here's the full first set recorded at Unite with Tomorrowland Lebanon on the beautiful coast of Byblos/Jbeil. Didn't expect people to come so early, so was a nice treat going from 5pm through sunset. Thanks to the organizers and technical team for putting together an amazing big-scale event in Lebanon again... we needed it!
Another massive reunion at FLOAT 2017 that started at 12pm and ended with this final 90min at 6am. I had barely arrived back in Beirut from France and headed with friends directly from the airport to the beautiful coast of Amchit about 40km north of Beirut. The place was busy and full of energy, got to catch up with more friends and fellow DJs before starting the sunrise set at 4:30am. Volume had to drop a bit cause the cops showed up, but we kept it going til the promoter said "okay wrap it up" :D A few technical issues when someone bumped into my arms in the booth, but hey whatever... Great fun as always!!
Such a fun 8-hour set going back to back with my funky brother in rhythm Nesta at Skin City Beirut. Starts at sunset and goes well into dark, with such amazing food, drinks and beautiful people! We'll be doing this quite often this summer, come join the fun! Had to trim a bit of the set at the beginning and end to fit soundcloud's 6h45m limit, and a smaller download (though less quality) enjoy either way! :D
First big weekend at the newly expanded rooftop at Pre Beirut now named "Skin City". Great summertime vibe, happy to have loads of friends over and enjoying the weather and company of many new friends we made that night. A deep then funky house affair here, downloads enabled. Enjoy!
This set might not be for everyone who wants cutting edge new tunes, but instead this is a bit of the current mainstream (big room/future house) with some classics towards the end. Reason for sharing this is to enjoy the energy on that rooftop at The Boulevard in Amman, where we went on and on until the sound guy cut us off cause he had to go home to his wife and kids. Doesn't matter, we made friends, drank tequila shots and had so much fun so here's what it sounded like... enjoy (or skip to another set) ;)

This annual party usually happens up in the Bekaa valley, but decided to do it on the rooftop of Dalal Steel Industries in Beirut instead. Great gathering of new and old friends together with a fully stocked bar, happy people and a great party! 5 & 1/2 hours long, only took 2 obvious requests during the set, otherwise #trustthedj ;)

Avicii Warm-up recorded live at The Peppermint Experience in Dubai with close to 9,000 people packed into the Dubai World Trade Center Rashid Hall. Great vibe, could've played a lot longer. Avicii took to the stage for the first & last time (as he's retiring) in Dubai after a switch over.
Full 5 hour set with "khayye" 3lias- first time in several years we go back to back (2 x 2 tracks) and as if we just did one of these sets last weekend. Loads of new unfinished productions and current favorites all recorded live @Beirut's longest lasting club, the legendary B018 (with a new Void system, Rane Mp2015 mixer and the curtains back on the wall).
