In the latest episode of Maestros in the Making, I had an interesting conversation with Gina El Kattan, a co-founder of Nuba Tisane. She opened up about her story of immigrating to Canada with her family from Egypt and co-founding a company with her mother.
In this episode of "Maestros in the Making", I was joined by Karla Briones, an entrepreneur, business coach and college professor based in Ottawa. Karla opened up about her inspiring immigrant journey to Canada from Mexico 25 years ago. Although my family and I are immigrants, it was fascinating and eye-opening for me to hear a different perspective of what it is like to be an immigrant in Canada.
In Episode 4, Dasha and I sat down to reflect on parenthood and our experiences throughout this unique journey. Being a parent is definitely anything but easy. But as Dasha said for both of us, it has truly been a “life-changing” and “soul-changing” experience.
For us, embracing the good, the not-so-good, and everything in between as they come has been the key to parenting. At the end of the day, the challenges that come with parenthood are what make us grow as parents, partners, and individuals.
Tune in, and let us know what you think. And as always, feel free to share this with others if you found this helpful or feel it can help someone else too.
In this month's episode 3, Dasha and I talk about what's happening in the world today and how we deal with these complex events when they literally show up at our doorstep. With Dasha's parents having escaped from Ukraine earlier this month and now living with us in Canada and Dasha being of mixed Ukrainian and Russian heritage, the past few days have included a range of emotions. Nonetheless, individually and together, we hold space to reflect on what is happening, how we hold our extended families together through these traumatic times, and how we take care of ourselves too.

In the new episode of "Maestros in the Making", I sit down with Kumaran Nadesan, Chief Executive Officer, 369Konnect, to reflect on our journey together through community building and now in business and how our values and work align at 369 Global Inc.
In this month's episode 2, Dasha and I talk all things money! Yup, we both got pretty real about our finances and dove deep into how it has and continues to affect our marriage. Like many other couples out there, we went through many ups and downs while confronting our personal and combined financial habits. While we still may not have it all together, I think it's pretty safe to say we've come far (a work in progress).
Recognizing that money matters are not always the easiest topics to touch on (oh, believe me, recording this podcast was painstakingly uncomfortable for me, to say the least), Dasha and I both walked into this unplanned conversation and unpacked some of our experiences in hopes to empower other couples to openly communicate, identify and navigate their unique system to managing their finances.

As part of our ongoing commitment to companionship and communication, Dasha and I are hoping to record at least one of our conversations every month this year as we discuss our marriage and family - from the mundane to the magical.
Our first episode for this month is on "Mind, Management and Marriage". We hope that you not only enjoy listening to it but that it also helps you in some small way. We are super nervous about putting ourselves out like this but I know that what we experience in our own relationship will resonate for so many others too.
We would love to hear your feedback and any insights that you want to share from your own significant relationships.
In the new episode of "Maestros in the Making", I sit down with Sam Ibrahim, President, Arrow Group of Companies, to learn more about his quest to build Scarborough's first billionaire business and staying true to his roots at the same time.
A casual conversation with two of our dear friends Sunny and Martin. We discuss various topics as it relates to relationships in the modern world. Sunny and Martin being married for 16 years and Dasha and I celebrating 5 years together coupled with the fact that I have known Sunny and Martin since I was 14 adds to some interesting conversations. Enjoy!
In this episode of "Maestros in the Making", I sit down with Kundan Joshi, Founder & CEO of TheAppLabb, to uncover how he orchestrates his life.
