Murphy-Harpst is an independent not-for-profit organization committed to meeting the needs of abused and neglected young people through residential treatment, placements in specialized foster care, and community programs that serve at-risk youth and their families. In partnership with the United Methodist Women national office, our services are available to all children regardless of sex, race, color, or creed, and whose needs can be addressed and treated within the scope of program services.
Jason joins us this month to talk about his Journey, the Youth Ministry at RUMC, and Altar your Life Weekend for RUMC Youth.
Steve's walk intersected with mine (Eric Stephens) this past summer and I have no doubt it was a "God thing" that happened at just the right time. He's just come back from a World Without Orphans summit but the journey that led him there is worth taking time to listen to.

Rusty Gordon discuses future Mission trips to aid in Hurricane recovery efforts

Clark was born in Silver Spring, MD and since 2012 serves as Area Director of the Miami Valley Coalition for Men’s Discipleship and as Regional Director since July, 2015.
Clark holds a D.Min. (thesis: Developing a Discipleship Model for the Revitalization of the Local Church) and M.Div degrees from Ashland Theological Seminary. For over 47 years, he has been all about discipleship.
He currently lives in Tipp City, Ohio with his wife Kim; Often finding them traveling to Atlanta or Iowa City to visit their three children and eight grandchildren, sometimes in their V6 powered MGB.
Our speaker this month is Kirk Driskell and he will tell us about the Vision Warriors organization.
What does it mean to be a Vision Warrior? A Vision Warrior is a man who is in search of his true calling. A man who is willing to encourage change when needed. A man who is willing to push against resistance when in pursuit of his vision. A man who sacrifices, battles through pain, and lives a life of discipline so that he can be a better Disciple, Father, Husband, Leader and Friend. Dr. Jeff Ross has joined us from Cumming First UMC, he is RUMC's New Adult discipleship minister.
Previous to that he had been the pastor of the Cedartown UMC for six years. Jeff began working with and serving churches in 1981.
Jeff enjoys helping with and watching people connect with Christ and the Church.

Paul Silgar shares his story this moth. Paul has been a member of Roswell UMC for 23 years. He is a IT Development Manager, and volunteers as the lead for the RUMC Youth Vision Team, and serves in the RUMC Student Ministry.
