Stewart Weinisch from Jews for Jesus: NYC shares a Thanksgiving message with the church.
Guest speaker, John Welborn, lead pastor of Salem Church NYC delivers a message entitled "Faith in Jesus".
In this communion message, Pastor Michael explores the theme of forgiveness in Matthew 26. No matter who we are or where we come from, Jesus offers forgiveness. Will you drink it up?
Division in a family or church can ruin it from the inside out. Thankfully, God's Word gives us principles to ensure we protect our communities and don't get distracted from our core mission to live and share the good news of Jesus.
The story of Grace is the greatest message ever told. Will you live and share this story today?
Our reputation as Christians is important. How we live and love in our relationships sends a message. Whether young or old we are called to “adorn the gospel” with our lives.
The truth of the Gospel is so glorious and beautiful that it is worth treasuring and protecting. Part of the responsibilities of Elders is to do just that.
What does the good life entail? Are success, power, and prestige really what life is all about or does God call us to a more rich experience of what is truly good? He is trustworthy, so let’s trust and obey.
We all face rejection, but as a follower of Jesus, there are times when we may face persecution because of our commitment to Him. Jesus says this is a reason to rejoice...Heaven is our reward!
War is everywhere around us in our globe and in our homes. How can we be a people of peace amidst the anger of our age? The Gospel strengthens us for this very task!
Our motives as followers of Jesus are often so mixed, yet God desires that we pursue Him with a pure heart. We need his cleansing help to make this possible, and it is worth it. His presence is our promise when we do.
In this message, Pastor Michael explores the beatitude, “Blessed are the Merciful.” It is natural to desire mercy for ourselves and so hard to offer to those who have hurt us deeply. However, when we pursue a life of mercy, we see Jesus and the Gospel displayed in our life. Though hard… it is worth it!
Where is lasting fulfillment found? Not in the passing pleasures of this world or indulging the desires of our flesh. Jesus says when we hunger and thirst after righteousness, we will never come up empty. Come… taste and enjoy!
Meekness, gentle strength when faced with disappoint and pain, is not an easy choice when we feel slighted. In today’s message find out how can we begin to follow the example of Jesus and give so that others may be blessed.
Mourning loss and hurt in this world is inevitable . Seeing these times as opportunities for spiritual growth isn’t. Jesus offers us the promise of His grace and the hope that mourning isn’t forever for those who know Him.
Today’s message is the first in a new series on the Beatitudes. We will explore what it means to live a truly happy life not based on comparing ourselves to others or the subjective feelings of the day. True Christian happiness is based on receiving and looking for God’s grace It’s available. Are you happy?
What are you building your life upon, the shifting sands of this world's priorities or the solid rock of Jesus? In this message, Pastor Michael explores what it means to build your life on Jesus’ example and teachings and gives some practical steps, especially for Dads, on how to start building a foundation that will last forever.
Are you weary? Needing comfort and strength to face your challenges? Then be encouraged by this special word from guest speaker, Pastor David Epstein, and Fly like an Eagle!
Since the beginning of time, sharing a meal with others has always provided an opportunity to unite and comfort each other. For the early church, breaking bread united them in their mission and comforted them in their exhaustion. Today, as we gather around the Lord’s Table in the breaking of bread, we too can find comfort for our weary souls. Take up and eat!
We need each other on the journey of faith. Don’t believe the lie that you can make it on your own. In this message, you will discover three vital relationship that you need to draw closer to Christ each day.
We are to be Temple People wherever we go. Pentecost is the birthday of the church, and we celebrate the coming of the Spirit and his indwelling presence and power to be different in this world.
The ascension of Jesus Christ provides us with an increased and heightened presence of God in our lives and the ability to be confident as we face the challenges of our day. Learn why in this message from Pastor Michael.
Doubts about Jesus and the Resurrection... we all have them. Thomas the Apostle had his doubts about the resurrected Christ as well. Like Thomas, Jesus invites us to bring our questions to Him - He is gracious and never pushes us away.
Jesus meets two disciples on the road to Emmaus on Easter Sunday afternoon. They are processing the events of the weekend and dealing with disappointment - Jesus wasn’t who they wanted Him to be. They will see, however, as we can as well, that Jesus is much more!
Mary Magdalene’s grief was almost palpable that first Easter morning. She came expecting to see and smell death, but what she found instead was an empty tomb and Jesus who called her by name. He still calls people by name. Have you heard his voice?
On Palm Sunday, we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem as the King who will bring about salvation. However, the people that day wanted a different kind of salvation than the one Jesus was offering. He came to disrupt their expectations and point them to the peace and hope that would only come through a humble and gentle sovereign. He comes to us today with the same offer of salvation. Will we bend the knee to King Jesus?
God’s gift of sexual intimacy in marriage is to be treasured and safeguarded in our lives. The world and our own flesh can distort and abuse this gift to ends that never satisfy and ultimately harm us. Let’s catch God’s vision for our lives and find the joy that comes with it.
In this message, we explore God’s best for our money and possessions. Proverbs is full of insight into how we are to view and manage the resources God has entrusted to our care. The idols of materialism and consumerism beckon for our attention and worship in our culture, but the biblical vision of stewardship and seeking after God’s priorities for our hearts is much more satisfying.
Words matter. What we say and how we say it can either inspire life or incite death. In this message from our Proverbs series, we will see how on average we have 860 million opportunities over the course of our lives to inspire people with our words, as we seek to love and follow Jesus.
Whether we realize it or not, we all find ourselves aligned with either the patterns of the world or the plans and purposes of God. In this message, Pastor Michael challenge us from Proverbs to align our lives with the God who created all things and offers us redemption through Jesus, the true wisdom of God.
Proverbs 9 presents us with a choice: will we long for wisdom and find satisfaction or folly and be left wanting more. Which will you choose?
Baptism is one of two Ordinances (Sacraments) initiated by Christ, practiced by the Apostles, and needed by all true believers. I will be focusing on the Ephesian’s experience in Acts 19:1-6, and calling the message, “The Pathway to Baptism”. For those of us already baptized in water by immersion, it will be a reminder of our own experience in the waters of baptism, but for those who have not yet followed the Lord’s command, it will hopefully encourage them to obey and be baptized. - Pastor Daniel Mercaldo
