Amanda Cleary Eastep is not related to Beverly Cleary but wishes she were. She is, however, a children’s writer, and the Tree Street Kids is her debut series. Amanda knows kids because she’s still one at heart. When she is forced to act like an adult, she edits nonfiction books by grown-up authors.
Amanda’s children’s writing has been published in Ladybug, The Friend, Sunday school curriculum, and Story Warren. As a longtime writer, she’s contributed to Christianity Today, Think Christian, and many other print and online publications. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and she leads writing workshops at her local teen center.

Our God Is Bigger Than That! begins as the sun rises on the farm, and baby farm animals face their individual fears throughout the day.
All discover a simple truth―God’s much bigger than their fears. As the sun sets on the farm, the farmer’s little daughter is headed to bed, yet she is afraid of the dark. She faces her fear, too.
The same repeated stanza: “God’s greater than your greatest fear. He knows just where you’re at. No matter what you face in life― Our God is bigger than that!” continues throughout the book, with only “the source of the fear” changing in each spread.

Mikayla Lowery was born in China on August 23rd, 2005 in a large city called Chong Qing. Someone took her to an orphanage where she stayed for a year. She was blessed beyond measure to be adopted by Scott and Jenny Lowery of Cartersville, Georgia, one month after her first birthday.
Mikayla spent eight years as an award-winning gymnast and began writing short stories when she was nine. She took a step back from gymnastics to focus on becoming a professional child author. She loves all forms of visual art, interior design, and calligraphy. She also plays the piano and is very active at her church. She has been an honor roll student every year in school.

No matter how many needle sticks you get that make you shout “Ow!” or scary tests that make you want to scream or cold waiting rooms you have to sit in that make you feel small - God sees you, your bravery, and the MORE He created you to be.
Whitney Lane Ward is a public speaker and writer who encourages audiences to overcome their circumstances. As someone with a disability, it is her wish to give hope to others with illnesses so they will scale the mountains they face.
The author’s disease began when she was a little girl, so Whitney knows first-hand the emotions and feelings children experience and the frightening unknowns they face. In this book, Whitney encourages every child who’s battling a disease to see themselves how God sees them and shout the powerful message to the world— “I am MORE!”
She was the first person in the world to be diagnosed with the disease she has. She also had the honor of naming it!

Taryn never planned to be a writer— she was a middle school math teacher for a couple of years. But, being a voracious reader as a kid gave her a love for words (and working with middle-schoolers gave her a sense of humor).
It seemed like a good idea to combine the two (words and humor) and voila, her first book was born. Truthfully, the first book was a fluke. She sat down to write a poem about Moses and ended up writing a fraction book about a cow. Who knew?
It worked so well the first time, she has continued to try writing poetry and has ended up with a book each time! Ok. Not really. But, she does enjoy the writing process so much, that she kept with it and has enjoyed some success along the way.

Dylan, Jack, and Tripp are looking for adventure, but when they find an entryway into a magical land, plagued by the malevolent Stranger, the cost of their new, exciting journey might prove to be too much.

Mark David Pullen is the author of middle grade series The Oasis Chronicles. Once more, our reluctant hero Ricky Bradshaw—who just happens to suffer from absence seizures that make him "zone out"—faces a life-threatening event. His mom is sick. Like, really sick. Desperate to try anything to get a miracle, and having watch the movie Jesus Revolution with his Mom, Ricky agrees to be baptized in a creek by the Pirate Preacher. But things go from bad to worse to apocalyptic when Ricky doesn't come up for air. In the next moment, he's on a ship with Jonah the prophet, in the middle of a raging storm.
Sensing that the gods want someone to be sacrificed, the crew of barbaric men — none of whom are fond of bathing —casts lots to see who's gonna be the unlucky chump that goes into the sea. Ricky's all like, "Don't pick me, don't pick me!" but before he can show his stick, Jonah steps up like the whale of a guy that he is. Except, surprise surprise, fate has other plans. Because out of nowhere, this giant octopus grabs Ricky and drags him down, down, down into the abyss. For a few harrowing moments Ricky and Jonah share a really tiny space in the gut of the Kraken. Then Ricky gets pooted out.
When Ricky finally washes ashore, he realizes he's in the underworld, where the crew of the Flying Dutchman sails around collecting souls of the dead. And wouldn't you know it, they want Ricky's soul most of all. Talk about a bad day. But even a bad day in the underworld can be a fun, adventurers sail, when there's love and sacrifice, demon-pirates and scores to settle, hope for a miracle and the chance to meet the one who made the wind and sea.

Darkness Looms in the Dragon Lands. War is brewing. New threats have emerged in Keledev. The watchmen of Thousand Falls and the Windhold find goblin tunnels in the slopes of the mountain barrier that may hold many dangerous creatures. At the same time, scouting missions into the Dragon Lands confirm that the dragons are building an army of tortured Aladoth villagers to destroy the Liberated Land.

While visiting Mr. Whittaker at Whit’s Soda Shoppe, Beth and Patrick find a mysterious letter in the Imagination Station requesting a Viking sunstone. The letter is old and says that someone named Albert will be imprisoned if the sunstone isn’t found.

No matter how many needle sticks you get that make you shout “Ow!” or scary tests that make you want to scream or cold waiting rooms you have to sit in that make you feel small - God sees you, your bravery, and the MORE He created you to be.
Whitney Lane Ward is a public speaker and writer who encourages audiences to overcome their circumstances. As someone with a disability, it is her wish to give hope to others with illnesses so they will scale the mountains they face.
The author’s disease began when she was a little girl, so Whitney knows first-hand the emotions and feelings children experience and the frightening unknowns they face. In this book, Whitney encourages every child who’s battling a disease to see themselves how God sees them and shout the powerful message to the world— “I am MORE!”
She was the first person in the world to be diagnosed with the disease she has. She also had the honor of naming it!
The name I chose was MAGIS Syndrome. MAGIS means “more,” in Latin and I want anyone who is diagnosed with this disease to know that they are MORE!

Phyllis Wheeler set a goal at age 13 to write a children’s book, a journey with lots of detours that have taken many years. She’s written for daily newspapers, worked on airplanes as a mechanical engineer, and raised four children including triplet boys, doing some homeschooling along the way, writing and selling the first computer programming curriculum for homeschoolers.
She has lived in various places, including as a child in pre-Civil-Rights Mississippi. But for most of her adult life, she has called St. Louis home. Phyllis Wheeler tells stories that encourage us to step outside our comfort zones. She’s done it—she and her husband spent twenty years raising their family in a black neighborhood in segregated St. Louis.
She’s been a journalist, an engineer, and a homeschooling mom. Now she’s thrilled to be following her dream of authoring books for young people.

Beneath the Hood is a familiar tale woven with biblical truth.
Little Red stands with a basket in hand, and the dark forest stretches out before her. She is afraid of what might be in the forest, but the King has given her this path to walk.
Her sister stands beside her to remind Little Red that she is a Child of the King, and she won’t be alone.
Once inside the dark forest, Little Red meets a Wolf with many questions. The Wolf doubts she will finish the King’s errand, but Little Red keeps moving along the path.
Distractions and the Wolf tempt Little Red to step off the path every few steps.

A school project goes terribly wrong in EASY TARGET – a middle-grade thriller about ex-homeschooler and Christian teen Hudson Sutton and his experiences in his new school.
When Hudson makes two friends and attempts to take on an established hierarchy of bullying, he doesn’t realize he’s taking a risk he never expected—becoming a bully himself.
EASY TARGET is a realistic look at the extent and reality of bullying, especially through social media, with a Christian main character who learns that relationships, bullying, and doing the right thing are a bit more complicated than he realized.

When he sticks up for “Pancake” he makes two allies and plenty of enemies. Hudson wants to protect his new friends, so he puts a bold plan into action. But as school bullies retaliate and Hudson’s plans to stop them get out of hand, Hudson fears he’s making the situation worse. The more he tries to help his new friends, the more he hurts others.

Merle and Pearl are still missing! Ruben has them hidden away in Israel, so Michael, Justin, Sadie, Jane, and Mr. and Mrs. Gomez take off on a rescue mission to get them back once and for all.
In the meantime, Dusty finds himself trapped in a donkey retirement community alongside a quirky alpaca named Adriana, who just happens to be an expert lock picker! Adriana’s skills come in handy when she and Dusty find Merle and Pearl locked in the birdcage Ruben is using to transport them.

It was the end of a long, snowy shift on Christmas Eve, the type of ride every bus driver dreads. Tidying up his bus, the driver discovered a tiny hippo on the dirty floor. He knew he would have to try locating the little girl who left the hippo behind. Despite his efforts to reunite the little girl with her lost hippo, it would be the bus driver’s wife who would point him in the right direction!
Since Day One, Lisa Williams has always told God that THE CHRISTMAS HIPPO was His story - to do with it what He wanted. She can certainly attest to the fact that God has done AMAZING things with the story. Throughout the whole publishing process, Lisa was blessed to see God’s hand at work every step of the way.

Mikayla spent eight years as an award-winning gymnast and began writing short stories when she was nine. She took a step back from gymnastics to focus on becoming a professional child author. She loves all forms of visual art, interior design, and calligraphy. She also plays the piano and is very active at her church. She has been an honor roll student every year in school.
