We also caught up with Chris Goldsmith, who'll give an insight into his development company moving to Cambridge for commercial reasons.
The conference uncovered a lot of exciting opportunities, projects and schemes ongoing within the Bristol region - with a real focus being on the shortage of housing and land. This means Bristol needs to start looking up, developing creative high-rise builds. Other discussion points around Template Gate, Avon Mouth and Hinckley were also on the agenda.
The regional LEPs have stepped up across the region from Crewe, Warrington, Cheshire and more to ensure exciting development plans - from new homes, town centre investment, business parks, garden villages and more. One of the main talking points was HS2 - which stops in Crewe. HS2 Board Member Duncan Sutherland gives us an exclusive discussion on the benefits and progress.
As always there was loads to discuss at the Manchester event. Brontwood are working on a large development in Circle Square in the centre of Manchester - a scheme bringing together a variety of property types - a big opportunity for all those within the sector. With other quality schemes ongoing we spoke exclusively on various other proposals and ongoing work.
Reading has seen great success over the past few years with inward investment on the rise - and developments in the city should be on your radar. Birmingham has many challenges currently - but we've heard further details of their 2031 development plans - to ensure housing, transport and more are all driving growth in the city. We learn about new site and plans - whilst also discussing HS2 impact.
Although concerns over the political landscape Glasgow is growing! RBS - big players in real estate and investment - were at the event along with the council and future trusts to give an overview of opportunities and ambitious plans. More regeneration and modern housing techniques were some of the discussion points.
Jumping on the back of the Northern Powerhouse Blackpool have seen some fantastic schemes and developments in the city. This podcast discusses possible developments including the tram terminus, the renowned Wilko's building, hotel developments and more.
