Astrology is an ancient divination tool that delivers remarkable accuracy and detail about each and everyone of us. As Carl Jung once described, "New are like grapes on the vine born at a distinct place and time with unique characteristics" (paraphrase). The simple fact that so much can be learned about oneself based on the time place and date of the birth is truly magical and of another dimension. In this segment your host, Chris Flisher, discusses the mathematical and geometrical cornerstones that validate astrology.

Venus will go retrograde on March 4th until April 15th. During that time Venus will move backwards into Pisces and remain in Aries for almost 4 months total by the time all is said and done. Join your host, Chris Flisher, as he discusses this topic with noted astrologer, Arielle Guttman.
The ego is not who we are. It's a mental program, like a computer code, enabling us to function in the world--a sensory code giving us the illusion of individuality--an utterly false "reality" similar to what's presented in the movie The Matrix. One advanced degree in psychology and 20,000 hours of mediation later, this is what she discovered. Join your host, astrologer, Chris Flisher as he speaks with Cate about her mission.

Back in the mid 1800s, a strange woman with a thick Russian accent and a head full of wild esoteric ideas, formed a new movement dedicated to the forward evolution of the occult. Many people believe in karma. The idea that we are recycled to fulfill that which we didn't accomplish in our first (or multiple) pass through. Do we ever get out of the cycle? Who were we and how do we find out? Listen as host, Chris Flisher speaks with Joanne DiMaggio about this interesting theory as discussed and researched in her book of the same title.

Is it realistic to think positively? Is that a method for avoiding reality or is it a way of living that reaps benefits for those who practice? Can we look at the world through rose colored glasses every day? Are we naive to think that there is no bad in life? Is that counter to the Buddhist tenet that "life is difficult?" The "tao" is an ancient term used to describe the fundamental foundation of the universe. In short, it is how we exist and inter-relate with all that surrounds us. Do we engage and live in the now? Are we too pulled by distraction to understand the here and now? What could we gain from being more filly present? All of these questions and more are part of host and astrologer, Chris Flisher's discussion with author Derek Lin whose book, "The Tao of Happiness" explores these concepts in an effort to enlighten and engage the human need for connection to reality.
Following in the footsteps of her legendary father, Jeffrey Wolf Green, Deva Green has taken up the mantle of evolutionary astrology. Listen as astrologer and host Chris Flisher discusses this deep conversation with Deva.
Much has been written about the coming age of Aquarius. The topic dates back to the late 1960s when the concept was immortalized in the Broadway production of the controversial theatrical production of "Hair." However, for all of its commercial appeal and success, little has been discussed regarding the actual shift into that age. What does this new age involve? What can we expect to see? Do we evolve into something new? Based on the precession of the equinoxes, the gradual shift into this epoch occurs over great expanses of time. However, it is on its way and astrologer and host Chris Flisher speaks with colleague and astrologer Adrian Duncan in this segment about this momentous event.

Relationships may be the single most important influence of our time on earth. How we connect and with whom can leave a major imprint on our hearts, our lives, our paths. Are the people we meet supposed to show up? Do we have relationships to learn? Does our ideal match exist? Why do some people leave a bigger footprint on our hearts than others? Are quick dates meant to enlighten us? What about those we don't like? These and many more questions are the subject of this podcast with your host and astrologer, Chris Flisher as he speaks with author and astrologer, Jessica Shepherd about her book titled, "Karmic Dates & Momentary Mates."

Is there an astrological profile that fits these types of events? Listen as astrologer and host, Chris Flisher discusses this subject with astrologer Elisabeth Grace.
Saturn has long been a strong indicator of the health of financial markets. Listen as host and astrologer, Chris Flisher speaks with financial astrologer Mitchell Lewis about this ominous alignment. Is there more to come? When do we see the bottom? Is this a necessary correction or a sign of a sinking collapse of capitalism? Lewis is known for his keen observations about financial markets and planetary alignments.

Even though we may consult our astrology on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis, many of us may not know when or why the forecast is so accurate. In this discussion astrologer and host, Chris Flisher discusses the roots or historical basis for astrology with astrologer, Chris Brennan. Over 5000 years ago stargazers could only see as far as Saturn with the naked eye. Yet today we have a much broader view of our solar system and incorporate Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in our consideration of human character. Yet Hellenistic astrology only considers the planets out to the original grouping which ends with Saturn. Is that enough of a view to provide accuracy? Many argue that astrology has become too cluttered with data which clouds the true image of the individual. Is that true? Listen and learn.

The planet that brings us harmony and the essesnce of love and affection turns retrograde every 18 months and remains in that direction for approximately 40 days and 40 nights (sound familiar.) Over 3 billion miles away, Pluto has never been within our grasp--until now. The New Horizons spacecraft was launched in 2006 and has been traveling since to reach this destination where it will send photos and data back to earth. In this segment Joseph and Chris talk about the astrological ramifications of Pluto and its archetypal relevance. Pluto is no small planet within the realm of astrology and our arrival at this planet, at this point in time, is indeed noteworthy. What will this bring to us? How will we view the universe from this point forward? What does Pluto offer? How will it affect you?
We know little of our place in the universe as it swirls around us on a daily basis. What if we could see, in real time, the motion of the solar system? The movement of the planets? The rise and set of the Sun? And what if we could see it in the palm of our hand? How would that shift our view of who we are, where we are, and why we are? The Cosmic Watch is such an application. Precise, detailed, gloriously presented, this application allows us to see and answer all of the aforementioned questions. A truly remarkable experience to behold. Join host, Chris Flisher, as he discusses this amazing application with Markus Humbel of The Cosmic Watch application. This may be quite unlike anything you have ever seen before. It may also compel you to look at your place in the swirl of the universe through a much different set of eyes.
Motivation is the key behind the planet Mars. Agression, activity, ambition, and anger are also attributes of the fiery planet. We all have Mars in our charts somewhere and this placement determines what motivates us personally. What drives you? What is it that you want to accomplish? What pushes your buttons? What compels you? On a grander scale, Mars is seen as the motivator behind global agression, especially when it is in a difficult angle to significant planets. In this segment from the Turning of the Wheel archives, host, Chris Flisher discusses this ornery and motivating presence in our lives. It is as relevant today as it was when it was recorded.
While our collective focus may center on our celestial neighborhood, we may overlook some meaningful new orbs that now fall into our range of influence. As we evolve our experience becomes richer and more expansive. In this archived segment, Chris Flisher speaks with Henry Seltzer about the planet Eris. Considered by scientists to be a dwarf planet, Eris is larger than Pluto and revolves around our Sun. It bears noting and Henry has been the first to write and recognize this planet. With an orbit of 558 years, this is a slow-moving orb whose influence can be felt through multiple generations. Representing strife and discord, we may begin to understand this influence as a method for facing our common enemies, which may, in fact, be ourselves.
While it may seem far away, the year 2020 will be here before we know it. And why is this year significant? Is it something about the repetitive number? Is there a planetary alignment worth noting? All of the above and more. The year 2020 will herald in a time of fruition. We will be faced with the consequences of what we have wrought leading up to this momentous time. Astrologically it will entail Saturn and Pluto conjunct in Capricorn and the time for righteous self-cleansing will be in full force. Listen as astrologer and show host, Chris Flisher speaks with numerologist, Michael Fierro about what the numbers indicate.
Why do certain buildings look more pleasing than others? Why do paintings line up the way they do? Why do nautilus shells and trees have certain characteritsics? The list goes on and on, actually. At the root of it all is geomtery and its nature. They are all based on the most amazing geometrical concept of the golden mean or section. This mathematical construct has been in existence since Euclid and it has taken its place in all the great pieces of art and architecture. The golden ratio also is called the golden mean or golden section. Other names include extreme and mean ratio medial section, divine proportion, divine section, golden proportion, golden cut, and golden number. In this segment Chris Flisher interviews Scott Olsen about this fascinating topic and his book by the same title.
Whether we like it or not, we all have a part of us that is wounded. How we discover that may be through personal discovery, events in our lives, people, careers, or the departure of loved ones. In all cases an imprint is left on our conscience and on our souls. This is part of our human journey also known as the human condition. Join astrologer Chris Flisher as he discusses with astrologer Lynn Bell the planetoid, Chiron who represents this part of ourselves that we must address in order to heal. When we know how Chiron affects us we can address this part of our lives with wholeness and calm as we evolve towards a greater awareness of our strengths and weaknesses.
Astrology has not changed much in the last 5000 years. We have added a few new terms and such, but the basic premise and rules still apply and are as accurate and revealing as before. What has changed is society and the modern world. With that in mind, writer and publisher, Matt Savinar seeks to address contemporary topics through the lens of the astrologer's eyes. Using the time-tested approach of astrology, Hexagon hopes to address topics of current concern. The NSA, Edward Snowden, Hip-Hop, and politics are all subjects into which the magazine will delve. Join host and astrologer, Chris Flisher as he discusses this subject with Matt Savinar.
Deep in the jungles of the Amazon, natives have been concocting a heady mixture of indigenous plants that combine to create a mind-expanding experience. Similar in some ways to LSD or peyote, ayahuasca delivers an experience unlike any other. Its roots go deep into the history of the region and few actually understand its beginnings. Used by the government of Brazil to help prisoners and others, this mixture may hold the key to true human awakening. Does it work? Is it for everyone? What can we expect? Listen as Chris Flisher interviews Rak Razam about this incredible and provocative experience.

In September of 2014, I finally met Jeff Jawer in person. I was immediately struck by his warmth and magnanimity. He was such a kind and gentle soul. I suggested that we get together and talk for my show. After the conference had passed, I heard from Jeff saying he'd like to have a conversation about astrology. I arranged for him to be the first guest on my TV show premiere. We connected via Skype which you can see at www.turningofthewheel.tv. I had a great time speaking with him. The TV version is a little choppy, but that's Skype, not Jeff. Days passed and I heard in March that he was in hospice. I had no idea at the time that we spoke that he was so close to his final chapter. I was completely shocked to learn of his untimely passing. No one would know that he was ill and yet he never let on. I wrestled with the idea of airing this interview out of respect to his family. I ran the idea past several other astrologers and his wife and children and they thought I should air it. So here it is in audio-only version. Jeff Jawer, thank you for all you did for astrology. We are all in your debt.

How many of us know that the standard playing card deck holds the promise of our destiny? The standard 52-card draw, found in casinos and most modern homes, is also a divination tool that dates back thousands of years. We all have a card based on our birthday. Why do markets rise and fall and is there a cyclical link? Listen as Chris Flisher speaks with this interesting astrologer about his theories.
In this segment astrologer, Chris Flisher, speaks with Joni Patry,, a highly-regarded Vedic astrologer. In the eyes of Westerners, Vedic astrology appears as a complex swirl of long, unpronouceable terms and unusual terms. Despite its apparent complexity Vedic astrology offers a far more granular view of the individual's chart. This precision can be an invaluable aid in making key life decisions such as child-bearing, marriage, or career adjustments. Joni is an incredibly well-versed font of information regarding astrology. She started out as a Western astrologer, moved into Uranian astrology and then settled into Vedic astrology as her course of preference. She is a fascinating guest and quite positive about what many think of as a dire predictive tool.
As we step into an ever-increasing narcissitic realm, we might be wise to spend more of our time in listening to what others have to say. This does not mean "like" a person's breakfast or their day at the beach, but rather embrace the true human connection that can only come from real face-to-face interaction. The virtual world will not allow that. Also if we are to evolve we must learn to love ourselves AS ourselves not measured against someone else's acheivements. We all have special gifts. We need to recognize them, not in the context of comparison, but in the solitude of self. Once you truly figure out who you are and what you are doing; only then can you truly love another. Community is the only thing that will save us and that cannot happen virtually. Listen as Chris Flisher discusses this topic which is quite relevant for out current climate.
Believe it or not we all possess the power to create. It is part of our DNA and yet many of us choose to ignore that, or procrastinate, or deny that this ability exists. Magic" and shows how to awaken that inner artist. Through a series of interesting outlandish and insightful exercises we can discover the inner-child and express freely. In this segment, astrologers Chris Flisher and Dietrech Pessin discuss what it feels like to be a cardinal sign from a first-hand viewpoint. The cardinal signs are : Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Since we are immersed in a very cardinal period in astrology, this topic is especially relevant. Since 2012 onward the major cardinal axis of the zodiac has been triggered by a number of significant planets moving through those signs. This is indicative of major new initiatives and starts. Since Chris is an Aries and Dietrech is a Libra, these times are rich with experience and insight. The outer planets move slowly and change is gradual, but profound, nonetheless. Listen and see if you can relate to what this energy feels like.
The Yod is fairly obscure aspect in astrology. It is comprised of two planets that are in sextile aspect (60 degrees) and then linked back to a center point of a third planet at 150 degrees also known as the quincunx. The point of the yod is often referred to as the "finger of god." This aspect can be quite a powerful indicator for the indiviual with this aspect in their horsocope chart. It represents a challenge to be met and bettered through the course of one's life. When one understands the attributes of such a point, they are better prepared to face the challenges inherent in such an aspect. Chris Flisher speaks with fellow astrologer Maurice Fernandez on this intriguing topic.
In the summer of 2015, NASA's spacecraft, New Horizons will be within reach of the edge of our solar system neighborhood. Launched in 2006, New Horizon has been traveling 30,00 miles an hour and has covered the 3 billion-mile trek to this outpost of the empire. With the arrival of this remarkable feat of engineering, humankind will finally be in touch with this most mysterious and dark side of our zodiacal realm. Pluto represents far more than a simple orb in the celestial field. It represents our deepest subconscious underpinnings. This is truly our shadow as described by Carl Jung. In our effort to reach Pluto we are literally, symbolically, and metaphically touching our darkest secrets. Does this bode for a new beginning? Listen as I speak with author Richard Grossinger about this amazing point in time.
Eclipses have always held the attention of humankind since the beginning of time. By virtue of their mathematical precision, solar and lunar eclipses force us to accept a power larger than our own. While the natural alignment of our two most influential planetary orbs is truly a marvel of astronomy, they also present a shift in our consciousness. Our sometimes subtle dance with the universe is firmly realized at the time of the eclipses as we feel their impact. The coming eclipses of spring 2015 are more than just another set of eclipses. Staging at 29 degrees Pisces, the first of the eclipses of the spring 2015, occurs at the last point of the zodiac, indicating an end of some sort. With the beginning of the zodiac on the very next day, we can only envision this as a time of endings and beginnings. Truly we are on a major transformative threshold.
The great psychologist Carl Jung was a pioneer in the study of astrology. Erin Sullivan is a world-renowned astrologer and she discusses this fascinating topic with astrologer and radio host, Chris Flisher. Many of the foundational tools discovered in modern day psychology find their source in astrology. While working with colleague, Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung discovered that an individual horoscope presented information that was incredibly accurate. He also saw how it influenced his thought process. Modern day Jungian's are deeply influenced by astrology.

Neptune has not been in Pisces since around 1850. Things looked much differently back then than they do now, but similarities do remain. What are they? A move towards a spiritual center? A tribal collective? An evolution of the human subconscious is unfolding as we witness another major step in human evoloution. We are all part of this awakening. Listen as astrologers Chris Flisher and Michael Lutin discuss this deep and revealing topic. It is profound and insightful. You may go away pondering your own beliefs and long-held fantascies as they come to the surface in your own life once again.
Astrology has long been regarded as the first form of psychology known to humankind. The parallels are unmistakeable and relevant. There can be little doubt that astrology holds the key to many of the quirks of the individuals personality, and that they are readily apparent in the chart of any person. A skilled astrologer can spot the individual from their birth data immediately. Yet, psychology gets so much of the credit. Why is that? Astrology is as accurate as the individual and still psychology seems to be the go-to method. Listen as astrologer Chris Flisher speaks with colleague astrologer and psychologist Glenn Parry in this archived radio show from 2009.

In this archived segment from 2011, astrologer, Chris Flisher speaks with collegue, Eric Myers about this important data point in astrology.
The Ascendant in astrology is the point in the chart that illustrates our outward appearance to the world. This is also known as the rising sign. The rising sign indicates which sign the Sun was in at the moment of birth. For two hours each day the Sun occupies a position of the zodiac. As the day progresses the sign changes on the horizon. In this discussion, astrologer, Chris Flisher discusses this topic with the late world-renowned astrologer, jeanne Avery. This interview was recorded in April of 2009, shortly before her passing.
In astrology, a progressed chart is one of the key indicators for predictions. In this method, Sun moves forward one dgree per year of life. A person may start out as one sign but they "progress" to another sign over the course of their lives. By contrast, the progressed Moon oves one degree forward each month. Both of these points offer significant insight into the role of the individual at the time. Astrologer, Chris Flisher discusses this with Janet Booth, astrologer and author of "Janet's Plan-its ~ An Astrological Planner."
In this segment, astrologer, Chris Flisher speaks with author John Martineau about his book on coincidence. We are all witnesses to such events and yet when they occur with such stunning relevance we have to wonder how and why. Are they simply random taps from the universe or do they foretell of something else? Should we pay special attention to them, or simply laugh them off as novelties? Author John Martineau has done considerable research on this topic and is no stranger to coincidence. Listen and learn about this facinating subject and perhaps you'll witness more coincidences in your life.
Often considered to be a more accurate form of astrology, the Vedic approach to the alignment of the planets also has a far more fore-boding quality to it. And although it is technically more in line with the actual position of the plants in our cosmic neighborhood, based on the precession of the equinoxes, it can often reveal the troubles that may lie ahead for an individual. This raises the question of whether or not an individual, in fact, follows that route based on the subconscious understanding of the potential of the chart. While this precision is indeed amazing, it can also be somewhat overly relevatory. Nonetheless, the subject is fascinating. Listen as Chris Flisher interviews world-renowned Vedic astrologer Joni Patry. Joni has a unique position becauuse she started out understanding western astrology before migrating to the Vedic method.

Galileo was the well-known Italian physicist who played a major role in the forward discovery of the universe. He is considered the father of modern observational astronomy. Although this is not the real Galileo it is Michael Galileo, an explorer who has spent a life devoted to understanding time, motion, space, and distance. His remarkable discoveries are indeed valuable and hence he has adopted the psuedonym, Galileo to emphasize his work and interests. In this fascinating segment we discuss time and effect.
The afterlife has been a mystery to humankind since time began. Since we don't really know what is on the other side, we can't prepare ourselves completely for the journey. In this segment astrologer, Chris Flisher speaks with colleague and author, A.T. Mann about reincarnation and its presence in the astrology of an individual. Mann's research draws conslusions based on what appears in the astrology charts of individuals. This intriguing conversation sheds new insights into what we might expect and whether or not we have returned from beyond.
When events occur, there is a distinct corelation between what happens and how the events unfold. Is this synchronicity or is this the result of a divine order manifesting? How do time and place have an impact on the outcome? What repeats and what doesn't? These and many more topics come up in this interesting talk about the order of the universe. Listen as Chris Flisher interviews fellow astrologer, Laurence Hillman in this intriguing interview.

Listen as astrologer and radio host Chris Flisher discusses this topic with accliamed author and astrologer, Ray Grasse
