Songs of Love and Grief

These songs were never meant to be heard in this form. They are working demos, made for my own use as part of the process of creating new songs. Typically, these demos would allow me to conceive how the new song was to be arranged with other instruments, harmonies and vocal interpretations. The next step would be to go into the studio, usually under the care of a talented producer, and create the final track. But given my time, the restrictions of Covid-19 and other considerations, this second step was not to be and what remains of these tunes are these imperfect demos, never meant to be heard by the public. These imperfections are sometimes slight and sometime very obvious. But my decision to share them comes from my belief that these are important songs, each deeply part of my spiritual path, emerging from deep within my soul from a place beyond names and concepts. For me, they are the expression of freedom itself and my commitment to the world of music and song. I hope that you find expression for some of your own deepest feelings in this work.
