Houston Gunn is a 16-year-old-entrepreneur, author, real estate investor and musician who is on a mission to inspire other young people to take steps now to build successful futures. His first book, “Schooled for Success – How I Plan to Graduate from High School a Millionaire,” shares his story.
The CEO he interviewed for a job shadow assignment during his freshman year of high school challenged him to write what became “Schooled for Success.”
Gunn even caught the attention of famed business mogul Donald Trump, who granted an interview via email that is shared in the book.
Teachers also motivated Houston, though not in ways they likely expected. He set the goal of earning $1 million by high school graduation on his first day as a freshman. At the freshman assembly, the leadership teacher’s announcement they could earn $1 million in their lifetimes they got good grades, went to college and got good jobs.
His classmates’ cheers and whooping confused Houston, who had done the math: $1 million over a 40-year career is $25,000 a year. He thought: “Why are the teachers and freshmen cheering and going wild? We the graduating class of 2015 should be booing and have got to learn more about money. We should be worth more than a million dollars over our lifetime!”
With entrepreneurial parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, Houston knows what he wants. He has figured out how to get it and encourages all young people as well as their parents not to shy away from asking for what they want.
He is now living outside Nashville, TN, with his family. Houston loves playing everything from percussion to the guitar and bass, fiddle and mandolin as well as singing and songwriting. But he is still a teenager and loves pizza, motorcycles, and blue Corvettes.
Everyone has places they would like to visit, who they want to vacation with, etc. But few people actually act upon those dreams. Today we look at Someday vacations and hwo to take them from someday to today.

With an unquenchable thirst for understanding the human condition, Jenna spent part of her senior year of high school in Thailand and her first year of college in Japan on exchange programs.
But, Jenna’s passion for acting and hosting couldn’t be ignored and in 2000, she moved with her now fiancé to Burbank, CA where she appeared in UNSOLVED MYSTERIES, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE along with several independent films. Growing up “in the business”, Jenna knew that it was not all glitz and glamour, in fact, she knew the glamour only came after lots of hard work. Knowing that in order to be better at her chosen profession, she needed to understand what others did in the business so she took jobs with agents, managers, casting directors and did various on-set crew work.
Then in 2008 Jenna found herself with the opportunity to start producing. She produced several short films then moved on to her first feature, the award winning film, APRIL SHOWERS. Building on the success of April Showers, Jenna produced the first narrative feature film to premiere exclusively on Hulu.
Jenna helped create and was a host on the Movie Maker Magazine top ranked podcast, FILM METHOD and wrote an advice column for Film Method for 2 years. For 10 years, Hank Yuloff worked for a company which he described as having no human soul. It bothered him so much that when he opened his own promotional product company, Promotionally Minded, he set out to make sure his company was a good corporate citizen. Randall has been involved with cruising since he was able to walk. I started on cruises sailing with my family when I was 4 years old. I was hooked on the industry from the very start I graduated from the University of Florida with a BSBA degree in marketing.I decided to go to Law School after my University of Florida business degree. While attending collega and law school, I found the PERFECT summer job. I worked for a company called SINGLEWORLD on board cruiseships as the singles directore I worked on 5 different cruiselines on ships all over the world. When finishing Law School, I worked as the manager of Travel Industry relations for Port Everglades Authority in Ft Lauderdale, FL (Many of our ships sail from that Port. After a stint there I had a desire to be a Trial attorney, I then started my career as an Asst State Attorney for Broward County, Florida where I did over 65 jury trials. It was a great experience. I then took my legal background on to the Police Benevolent Association where I was the General Counsel for over 18 differenct cities of Police officers and their respective Unions. This whole time, I had such a yearning for the Cruise Industry. I made a life changing decision to follow my heart and dreams. I moved to California and started my career as a Business Development Manager for Royal Caribbean International. I have been with this amazing and innovative company for almost 16 years and have NEVER regretted my decision. I am still active in the Florida Bar but do love this industry I wake up every morining with a smile on my face to go to work in a job and industry which I love.
Dennis was born in England and immigrated to Los Angeles with his parents in 1957. Dennis received his business degree at California State University, Northridge. During his early career he obtained extensive accounting and auditing experience with one of the major accounting firms. After working at a local CPA firm, Dennis established his own practice in 1977.
