Golf, by its nature an isolating sport, offers a mental challenge even for those playing recreationally; add in the time commitment, competitive spirit and stress one can face in a competitive, collegiate setting and the hurdles can seem daunting. Cooper has sought to become more a leader in the space where mental health is concerned, and we talk in detail about mental health occupying a more positive space, the importance of fun and battling back from a negative headspace.
