This week’s focus is TRUE TRANSFORMATION: Jesus and Zacchaeus. This encounter between Jesus and the tax-collector demonstrates the wonderful transformation that takes place in a heart once it has been invaded by the love and forgiveness of Christ. And this transformation continues our whole time on earth, until the day Jesus call us home or returns for his body. All believers then move “from Glory to Glory” by the power of God, becoming more and more like Christ.
This week’s focus is “Teachability.” Teachability is that essential character quality that grows out of humility before God and before others. It allows us to be life-long learners. It is the foundation for building a life based on God’s wisdom. Our pride and insecurities often prevent us from being teachable, but the Holy Spirit of God can help fight our pride. The more humility, the more learning and wisdom will come into our lives....and over time we become shaped into Christ’s image more and more. All for our good and God’s glory!
God has given us spiritual gifts so that we can serve others effectively, according to the power of the Holy Spirit. What a joy to be given spiritual abilities to help others experience the love of God, come to know Jesus as Savior, and to grow up in Christ. Every believer is equipped by God and has a crucial role to play in the body of Christ. Have you found yours...and are you serving God whole-heartedly!?
On Good Friday, we gathered to Reflect, Remember and Proclaim our crucified Savior. Associate Pastor, Mondo Scott walks us through 3 scenes that Jesus encountered on the day he was crucified; The Garden of Gethsemane, The Place of the Skull, The Garden Tomb.

In it, he reminds Cornerstone that Jesus is the risen king who has all authority, that Jesus sends his disciples to make disciples, and that Jesus' presence is with us as we make disciples.
